To be completely honest with you guys, me and my wife were already considering trading in our beautiful cla45 amg because of the squeaky brakes! I can’t stress it enough that I called every shop around my area and they all said it’s an “AMG “ problem and there’s nothing you can do about it. Well tell you what if you have a really nice Mercedes but sounds like an old bus going down the road when you break, you need to take it here! They fixed my one year problem in one day! I’ve had brake jobs done in the past and they never could fix it. These guys did. I’ve had it for a week now and no squeaks, I will update later on since it is pretty recent. But Again don’t pass these guys up if you have the same problem as I did.

Joey quoted me a very reasonable price for my service A (much lower than the dealership) and charged even less when I picked up my car. New to town and tried a couple of other “Mercedes Benz” mechanics. Not very happy. Tried Star Motors and were blown away. Joey took time to explain a lot of things to me when I picked up my vehicle. It was right as they were getting ready to start closing up shop for a 3 day holiday weekend. He’d didn’t rush me and he didn’t seem preoccupied at all. He answered all of my questions, probably spent 20 minutes with me. He offered that anytime I had more questions, he’d even throw my SUV up on the lift so I could see things as he explained. Joey and Heather are great!! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable about my Mercedes. I dont have the nicest Mercedes, but they answered all my questions, gave me a quote and performed the work in a timely matter. When finished there quote and final bill was the same. No bait or switch with this shop like I experienced with the dealership.

I had a great experience, I wish I originally had started with Star Motors instead of the going to the dealerships. Joey spent time to explain details and answer all of my questions.I recently had a big trip with my daughters gand Star Motors went over all the car to make sure it was ready.

I recently purchased my first Mercedes Benz, but before I bought it I took it to Heather and Joey at Star Motors to look it over and inform me of anything that may be problematic with it. I was a little nervous because I have had bad experiences in the past with mechanics, but Joey was extremely straightforward and honest with me. Joey was very knowledgeable and professional and pointed out some stuff on the car that I was unaware of. I was greatly impressed so I have taken my car back to them a couple times to have some after market stuff done to it and I couldnt be more satisfied. Everyone at Star Motors have been great on repeated visits for oil changes and other maintenance on Bucky, my ML 430. This summer I had a car load of teens and gear, ready to head for the coast when the gear shift locked up. Via cell phone, Ken talked me through a manual release, saved me a towing fee, no harm was done; we were on our way in a jiffy! Just one example of the depth of their knowledge and outstanding customer service! Ken and Gunther are true stars in my book and I highly recommend Star Motors!

I first went to Star Motors after trying Mercedes dealers in Portland and Fife Washington to have my E300 unsuccessfully repaired. I have been going back to Star Motors ever since. Having the most respectful, professional, and considerate service. I even went for ride one day while waiting for my E300 oil change in a new E350 blue tec that was for sale in their lot. I wanted one possibly a year old, with different amenities so Gunther told me he could get me one I would like. Of course he found one beyond my imagination. I cannot thank him enough. I trusted him to buy it for me at a reasonable price. I have never been happier and will do the same when I decide to buy new. These guys are simply the BEST....Thank you guys..

I was impressed with Star motors because they are very honest and recommend only the service and repairs needed, very polite and give appointments very promptly. I have been taking my ML320 and S 500 for a few years now . Their charges are lower than other places. I would recommend Star Motors for Mercedes maintenance and repairs.

My 2014 E350 had an issue with 360* camera not working. I was worried that I might have to go to MB dealer to have it fixed as this kind of electronic problems are hard to deal with. It turned out that Joey and Nathan can solve these high tech issues to MB cars as well and probably with much less charges. Nathan took time to find the true root cause and fixed the problem. I am very impressed with Nathan and Joey for their knowledge, skills, and customer service mindset. Thank you.

Worth every star! Ken and Gunther are a class act, and instill confidence in the client right from the start. I have always been a take it to the dealer kind of guy, and having started a new business this year, was looking to save some money. Seeing that Star Motors was a Benz only shop gave me more confidence. Quotes were prompt, and a lot cheaper than the dealers. Then, once in the shop, service was efficient, and no add on type sales tactics, actually recommendations to leave certain items til the next visit. Wow! Really! Thats a first. First time ever I felt like I was not getting milked for everything possible!After leaving the shop and fighting snow traffic for a few hours, I clipped a curb in icy conditions, damaged a rear tie rod, and had to have the car towed back to the shop. Gunther had me back on the road in a day! And very inexpensively too! These guys are the straight up real deal. There are knowledgeable, fair and dedicated to the Mercedes brand. I am trying to resurrect a 96 E320 that was destined for the scrap heap. They have helped get it back on the road where it belongs, their charges are always fair, and have even given me advice help on some things Ive chose to do myself. I recommend them to ever Benz owner I meet. They are 10 stars on a scale of 5.

My windshield wiper on my car decided it wasnt going to work very well anymore. I called around to a few places to see if they had any idea what it might be...they all said I needed a new windshield wiper motor which would have been extremely expensive. I called Star and told them what was happening and immediately was told why this occurs and how simple the fix could be (with of course the possibility of it being the motor). But they would check first to make sure if it was the easy fix. It turned out to be the easy fix and was about 1/20th the cost of fixing the motor. As Im not a mechanic it wouldve been very easy for anyone to tell me it was the motor and just take my money. I appreciated the honesty that I got from Star and will take my Mercedes there for as long as I have it! In fact, they make me feel more comfortable buying another Mercedes in the future, knowing I can take it to someone honest and reliable. :)

Joey is very knowledgeable and even over the phone is willing to take the time to listen to the issue and helped me diagnose. Theyve done a great job servicing my 2001 SLK and they are my go-to shop. Highly recommend them.

Star Motors has consistently provided excellent service for my cars for the past 21 years, since I purchased my first Mercedes in 1995. I could not recommend them more highly. They serviced my 560 SEC during the years I owned that car and they kept it working very well until I sold it a few years ago. After buying a new G500, I tried to do the warranty work at the dealership and they never could get anything right. The dealership had the vehicle for around 100 days in the first year I owned it. Once I moved my service for that vehicle to Star Motors the never ending service problems ended. I willingly drive from SW Portland to Tualatin for service because I wouldnt take my G500 anywhere else.

Gunther and Ken know their business. They are thorough. They are honest and trustworthy. I would not take my Mercedes anywhere else when I need work on it.

Outstanding in all categories per our experience. Would highly recommend their service for ANY Mercedes but, in particular, for the older/higher mileage vehicle (or one you want to get there!). We were with the selling dealer for 5 years and in the main, satisfied. But after a turnover of ownership and staff, we began to question a few things. After a recommendation for a very expensive repair, we decided to get a second opinion from Star. They agreed with the recommend repair, but their estimate was about 35% less than the dealers (and they ended up doing it for that). They also found 3 other lesser problems that had either missed or ignored by the dealer and repaired them reasonably. So were convinced. Service encounters since then have been equally outstanding! You wont find a better, more reliable Mercedes service anywhere!

When I was new to the car, called on the road to ask what todo about a problem I was having, they told me quickly what to do and how to do it.I then made a point of actually taking more time to read the manual.I appreciate the factthat I can depend on their expertise to take care of my car.

Gunther and Ken cared for two of my Mercedes wagons over several years, and though I do not currently own a Mercedes I would absolutely recommend Star to current Mercedes owners. Here is where you go to get better-than-dealer advice, repair, and maintenance at a far-better-than-dealer price. And no, I am not a friend or relative or on the payroll—quite the opposite of on-the-payroll, in fact!

If there were a possible ten star rating Id give it at least a 15. Theyre that good. I started taking my first MB to Gunther when he first opened Star Motors. Even though I was then living in NW Portland, and Star was and still is, in Tualatin, I made the extra drive just to have him care for my car. He was the service manager at the downtown Portland MB dealer for years before opening his own shop. Now with partner, Ken, the only place I take my car (my 4th MB) is to Star Motors. They are trustworthy, fair, honest and they know what theyre doing. Im a car enthusiast and whether a collector car or my MB driver, I want every car I own to be in perfect condition. Gunther and Ken and their employees ensure that happens. ...and it doesnt hurt that the shop is clean, organized and everyone is just so darn nice.

I have been a customer at Star motors for about 5 years to take care of my M-B 500 SLfor everything it needs. It tells me to go to workshop when it needs help. I have complete confidence and satisfaction with everything the have done. One time one of two batteries went bad they replaced it, but new one developed a problem and it was replaced and they followed up with manufacturer who replaced it some one year later. No charge at all for me,no else does that kind of follow up..Star Motor have more integrity and care about Customers and cars than I have experienced from Lexus or BMW and Volvo that I have dealt with or dealing with today.
