They’ve worked on my 2012 Sprinter for several years. They know what they’re doing. Is Upscale cheap? Of course not. But they are fair.

They are experts in MB Sprinter vans including RVs built on Sprinters. We have worked with them since 2008 through two Winnebago Views. Their work has always been competent, timely and fairly priced. Additionally theyre really nice people.

Upgraded Sprinter based RV suspension (shocks, sway bar, springs, air bags)in May of 2020. Whenever I need service (other than warrantee work) on my RV I will go here. They know what the are doing and do it well. Its comforting to drive in and see many sprinter vans being serviced. They are focused and experienced and experts.

Very Happy first time customerThis is the first service on my Sprinter RV. Upscale was recommend to me by the RV service department. I was VERY pleased with the schedule of an appointment AND the service people who I dealt with AND the speed at which the work was completed.I will be back for sure the next time my Sprinter needs services and I may be back sooner to have some upgrades done to the RV

These guys are great. I really trust them now. They have worked on two Sprinter vans for me over the past year and both times it came out at a reasonable price and totally fixed the problem. The second time there were 9 error codes which could have cost an unbelievable amount of money. They found the upstream simple fix which was the cause of the problems, and were honest about it. They also were able to take care of all of this in a timely manner. This really made my day and built a lot of trust!

While on the road in Portland Oregon, on a Sunday morning, some indicator lights showed up. The ABS, ESP and ASR/BAS were indicated (so, no cruise control, ABS or skid control and it could go into “limp home” at any time). Of course on a Sunday there was no where to go. I called Monday morning and everyone was busy for the next two weeks in the Portland area. The service manager at The Sprinter Store on Portland said they were busy but their Tualatin shop might be able to help. I called the Tualatin shop and the shop manager, Foster, said that although they were all booked up if I brought it in he could at least read the code and see what was needed. When I got there it took a while for them to get to me but the code indicated a bad “right rear wheel speed sensor”. They could order the part and fit me in and I could be on the road. Unfortunately the part did not arrive that afternoon as we had hoped and I had to return the next day. When I got there the next day, they installed the part and I was back on the road trip to Mt. Rainier again. All in all I think that I had a good experience with The Sprinter Store. I recommend them to others too.

Ive been going to Upscale Auto for over 14 years. In fact, other than recalls and warranty repairs, I havent taken my Sprinter to a dealership, even though there is one within walking distance of my home. Upscale installed Koni shocks years ago at my request and recently I went in with an alignment problem. Turned out to be one of the front Konis. They ordered replacements (Konis have a lifetime warranty), installed them and handled the warranty claim.

I had originally posted a five star review, but was forced to change it after an incredibly unpleasant experience with this shop. I had used their sister-shop for a few years to work on a late-model Mercedes with no complaints - ever. I scheduled a repair to be done to my Volvo for a week that my kids where with their dad and I was off work - I am a single parent, so transportation is a challenge with no car. I was starting a new position after finishing school, and took a few days between jobs to take care of things. I took the car in on a Thursday morning and was told it would be done by the end of the day. End of the day it was not finished. I was told the work would cost between 400-500 for parts and 500-600 for labor. I told them that I would plan on the high end of that, but I could afford no more - so to let me know if there were any other issues. Thursday the car was still not finished. On Friday, they called and told me the car would cost $179.00 more than the high end of the estimate - even though they werent repairing anything in addition to the estimate. I was upset, but didnt know what else to do. Then they called Friday and said the car was still not finished. Disappointing, but I was clear I could manage over the weekend - but I absolutely needed it back Monday as I had to pick my kids up. Uber with three kids is not an option. Monday at 4 they let me know the car is still not ready. At this point, I called a few other shops and was told that this was a really long time for this repair and that the estimate was high. The shop did rent me a car, but it was after multiple phone calls and a ton of trying to arrange pick up for my kids, etc. As of Wednesday - the car is repaired but being aligned. What an uncomfortable experience. If you are not very familiar with cars, dont go here. They kept telling me all this was because my car was old - but I am not knowledgable enough to challenge them. My last car was also this old and I didnt have these issues. I have yet to pick up my car, but am not sure what was done and feel pretty unsettled, untrusting about what was done to my car, and how much I am paying for possibly the worst service I have ever experienced.

I took my Sprinter van into Upscale Auto and not only did they do an excellent job replacing the shocks with brand new Koni shocks, but they were really quick and friendly. My van has never run so smoothly!

This place fulfills most negative stereotypes about auto repair shops: up-charging, bait-and-switch, deception, excuses, and outright swindling.We were quoted a reasonable price over the phone, but by the time the car was ready to pick up (three days later than promised) the bill had jumped way up with extra service charges that were not authorized or necessary. The excuse was that the luxury make and model requires the more expensive version of the part, hence the up-charge, even though they knew the make and model when they quoted. When we called them out on it, Elliot, the service manager, blamed his staff for making a clerical error, even though all our correspondence had been through him.Elliot declined to honor the discounts listed on their website even though another employee had told me over the phone it would be honored. The excuse from Elliot was that the website has a mistake and that wed gotten all the discounting [we] were going to get. (He was referring to his having corrected the up-charging as a discount.)In short, there are honest shops to chose from; Upscale Automotive is not one of them.
