WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Box was not delivered to end location on time and they were extremely rude about it. If I could deliver your box today I would but I do not control the trucking companys decision on what trailers at there facility get unloaded and when. I cant deliver to you what I dont have. That is the exact email I received. Customer service is terrible and I have not been able to get any more information from the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.UPDATE: They sent a response to the review to call them, I have been waiting ON HOLD for OVER 12 HOURS. If only they respond to the phone and actual customers like they respond to bad reviews maybe this company would actually be worth using. Whatever you do, dont use this company. Box has still not been delivered and they have no information 3 days past delivery date.ANOTHER UPDATE: It has now been 5 days, I do not have an answer as to when my items will get here. I cant get a reply from anyone. I submitted a claim with the BBB and got this: BBB regrets to inform you that the mail we sent to the business was returned as UNDELIVERABLE or they are no longer in business. Please be aware that BBB can only attempt to conciliate a dispute when both parties actively participate. As the business could not be reached or is no longer in operation, the complaint was closed accordingly. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.FINAL UPDATE: I have been informed my stuff will be here today, 6 days after the initial delivery. I still have not heard a single word from the customer service rep. I have asked several times over multiple days about when the box will be picked up, no answer. Now they tell me it will be tomorrow. I now have to arrange same-day unloading help in order to have the box emptied for pick-up tomorrow, which is extremely expensive. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO.
Using this company has been outright horrible. Packed the box and shipped it out in April. Estimated arrival date to new location was May. It has now been 3 months and I have no idea where our belongings could be. Attempting to make contact with a customer service rep takes immense time, IF you can even get a hold of somebody. No one has bothered to reach out to update me on the location of my box. I now have to consider taking legal action against the company.
If you want your stuff to get picked and then nobody EVER returns your calls or emails then this company is great.I have called and emailed every day for over a week to find the location of my belongings but they will not return any of my requests. We did a cross country move and used the services thinking we could save some money instead it’s been nightmare. Staying in a hotel not knowing where all my belongings are and this company leaving my family in the dark.I now have to refurnish my home and seek legal counsel to try get a respond or my belongings.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND STEAL YOUR STUFF
We booked our box through representative Paula Perks. She was incredibly helpful, professional and patient. When I had additional questions I emailed her and responded right away. She is truly a great representative for this company.
EDIT: After almost a week, still no answer. Tried emailing the email address listed on my contract and it came back as undeliverable stating the address doesnt exist. On hold again for another hour today with no answer and still no explanation for the extra charges on my card. Even tried faxing them and no response. All the numbers for my local branch take you back into the same que. Had to report them for fraud to my bank and change my card. Now having to search last minute for another moving company. AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS! They will take your money and not provide services.I finally found a different email address for making payments and emailed them to cancel the order. Got a response right away from the rudest customer service person I have ever dealt with stating that they would cancel but that Im making it up it that they charged my card a second time for a different amount, even though its right on my bank log and the money came out. I was then told it was my fault for being double charged because I chose the auto pay option? They claim its just busy and thats why they dont answer the phone, yet Ive called ten other moving places and get answers immediately, so I dont understand how you can sit on hold all day with this company and never get through.Pretty sure I got scammed. Booked a moving pod and got a random extra charge on my card. Have called twice and been on hold for over an hour and nobody answers. It asks if you want the system to call you back when someone is available and Ive never gotten a call back. Sent an email days ago and cant get an answer that way either. No information in my contract about a time frame of when they drop off and pick up
Extremely hard to get ahold of someone, going through the system the hold times are forever and if you opt to be called back when you’re next, they never call you back.Scheduled and booked a move, and requested to have movers help load and unload the delivery. It didn’t get added on to the original transaction, and when I asked about it multiple times after within the next couple days I was told someone was looking into it for me. By the time someone got back to me, they were unable to have movers come on the day I originally requested them to come, and told me it was because it wasn’t booked when I scheduled the trailer move after I had asked for it one the phone and had added the movers on to the quote myself online before I called to book the move. They told me I would not be charged until the truck was delivered to my current address, but they made 2 charges a week before the trucks were supposed to be delivered to my current address.They then tried telling me there were going to be issues with delivering the trailer to both locations. I told them multiple times there shouldn’t be any issues for my current address. They told my my new address was “too fancy” of a location and they were worried about the trailer being towed so they told me they were going to cancel my move 2 days before the trailer was supposed to arrive at my current address. They told me they would look into things and give me a call back in an hour. I never received a call back, and when I tried to call, I of course went through the system and was on hold for a very long time, requested them to call me back after I couldn’t stay on hold longer. I never received a call back. I emailed the person I had been dealing with the entire time and asked if they came up with a solution. They would not give me any solutions, or compromises for a later date or a terminal drop off at the new location. She emailed me back stating:“No we were not the local office in your area is not able to get boxes to the terminal. Unfortunately we are going to have to refund you your money.”I requested she call me immediately, and never got a call. Went through the holding system again and still have not received a call back. I am extremely frustrated, had to scramble to get new moving plans which of course is astronomically more expensive now that it is completely last minute, and need to figure out how they will give me a complete refund since they charged my cards prematurely. Absolutely ridiculous. Horrible experience.
Terrible company don’t do it. The supervisor was supposed to call me personally 2 days ago to tell me when I’m getting my box! ( it’ll be a week past my delivery date in 2 days!) I will post a more detailed review after I receive my box—> UPDATEI talked to a supervisor on Tuesday August 10th and she personally promised to call me that Friday august 13th. SHE STILL HASNT CALL ME (August 25th). Our box is supposed to come tomorrow Thursday the 26th. I’m not even going to explain how frustrating it is that our points of contact haven’t reached out to us. The person who confirmed our box is arriving is the New Jersey wear house employee. But also !!SURPISE!! The first 30 min to unload your stuff is free. After that every 30 min is $30!! We were never been made aware of this.I will post the final review after we receive the box. The Smartbox delivery and pick up was wonderful so Id love to give a good review, however, I cant get a hold of anyone for service while they have my Smartbox in storage. I have spent multiple 30+ minute phone calls waiting for a representative to pick up. They have never picked up and Ive had to give up. Ive also emailed them and have not received any responses.Im getting scared that they have gone out of business or that I wont get my pods back.SMARTBOX- if you are reading reviews, PLEASE respond to my emails or answer your phone!
We needed to make room quickly for a basement cleaning project; after comparing our many options in Seattle, we chose Smartbox. We had visited self storage places; Even the new ones have a spooky abandoned feeling. I did not think I would feel safe going to and from one by myself without back up!Having secure storage that comes to us started to look really good, and with Smartbox it was affordable.Our home is on a narrow, steeply sloped cut-through street, a real challenge for delivery. Our Smartbox Driver Brian took it all in stride; negotiating the challenge with skill and a professional demeanor; he even managed to fit 2 storage cubes side by side and make them LEVEL, on our lumpy, pitched, gravel driveway bordered by boulder-rockeries on either side! I never would have believed it could be done!It saved us time and trouble, to just carry our packed gear to the Smartbox in the driveway, instead of making many trips of carrying things to our little car, driving to a self-storage unit, and then having to carry everything through a maze.Plus, having one day to do it meant we could not procrastinate. Thank you to Brian and the people at Smartbox for making our workload easier!
Everything was fantastic! Cross country move. Had 2 delivered, only used one and only charged for one. It was great to have flexibility because you cant know until you load the stuff into the box. Arrived on time, everything in great condition. People are very pleasant to work with. Highly recommend Smartbox!
Smartbox was wonderful to work with. The units are clean, dry, and secure. All my stuff came back exactly how we packed it, no sliding or tipped. The scheduling for drop off and pick up was very easy, and to my schedule, and the driver called to check in on drop off, and pickup. And, they were cheaper than their competitors! I highly recommend Smartbox.
Service was awesome from drop off of empty to pickup of full box.The driver was a true professional and gave us good advice on the front end when dropping off and a great attitude on the back end when loading on our box.We really appreciated the great service, and think it would be hard for any other company to have matched it.

Was able to get a box delivered so quickly. I have a tricky drive-way in an alley and their equipment has NO trouble getting the box onto my driveway.....other companies do. No contracts to pressure you, either. Just storage when you need it and very reasonably priced. We have used them twice now and great costumer service! Thank you.
I moved from Seattle to NYC and had a fantastic experience with Smartbox start-to-finish. Their team was professional, friendly, and efficient (Lauren, Gwen, and anyone else I missed). They offered as well a $125 credit to book in the next week-without prompt- and they were already the lowest priced pod company.I had researched several moving box companies and Smartbox was one of two that was able to speak to tricky Manhattan sidewalk/running truck laws, and the truck driver’s hourly rates were significantly cheaper than the other guys’.On Seattle initial delivery day, Brian showed up right when he had previously double-confirmed he would, and was efficient, friendly, and a master of the forklift (I lived in a tricky, hilly, narrow neighborhood in Seattle with little street parking). He showed me how to best secure the Smartbox and advised me on the best ways to secure the box overnight. He picked up the boxes two days later right on schedule and away went my things went on a cross-country adventure.I was overseas when I coordinated my move-in timeframe with the team, and they promptly and efficiently directed me to Victor, who was also awesome. He coordinated his time with me, double-confirmed his timing with traffic estimates, and made the experience A+. An NYC miracle happened and Victor & my moving guys (Great Movers, also awesome and reviewed in a separate post) were there on time, incredibly efficient, and pulled off the box unloading in an hour.All in all, what could have been an obscenely stressful experience ended up being as stress-free as one could hope a cross-country move could ever be. I will definitely use Smartbox for future moves!

I looked around and this was the most affordable option. Their boxes are smaller than some of the others around (they only have 7 long boxes), but the price was significantly better than what i could find. You call to schedule a day for delivery and they essentially give you an all-day window - so if you need them in the morning you should have them delivered the day before. They can fit four boxes on their truck, and they charge you for delivery each way - so going from three boxes to four boxes is inexpensive, but going from four boxes to five boxes adds significantly to your charge - order in multiples of four if you can. Four pods fit all of our furniture from our 4 bedroom house, but we had the packed boxes and non-furniture items go separately by another truck.Delivery and pickup was timely and they located the boxes so that they were a minimal inconvenience. Nothing appears to have been damaged from shipping. Im very pleased with their service.

The Price is Right but just be careful if you have breakables that you pack them really nice and tight because they do get broke upset because I had to pay a full month and I was only there for 2 weeks in the month but other than that its a nice storage place
