Why someone would rent a uhaul anywhere else - I have no idea. The staff were amazing. Personable and easy to deal with. They have a lot of trucks and trailers to choose from and a full stock of boxes and moving supplies. No hassles and great support.The truck was clean and ready to go even thou I arrived two hours early. Dropping it off was quick and drama free.

Can’t stress enough how tough move-in can be sometimes. Owning a moving company is just as hard because you get to do it every day. Maria and James were both extremely helpful! James was able to get me a truck earlier than I needed after my reservation was screwed up by another location. Maria was able to extend my rental when I needed the truck longer. Everyone at this location was friendly and professional.

My husband works for Atlas Van Lines and we had to shuttle in to Seattle. Called to ask if they could accommodate our 18 wheeler while we did our shuttle. Well it snowed that day and a lot. They came in a made sure we were able to do it. On top of letting us leave our truck at the bottom of the driveway. Could not park behind building as planned due to snow and not being able to get up hill. We will be using them anytime we are in area with a shuttle and spreading the word. Great customer service. Thank you for all the help.

This is the best u-haul dealer I have dealt with. Ive rented several trucks and several trailers from them. And theyve always treated me nicely and fairly.

The team at Uhaul of Duwamish is top notch. Truly the best experience I’ve ever had with any Uhaul location. We had the pleasure of working with James, Dawn, and Colin this past Sunday. They were all so polite, kind, and helpful. Both times we were at the location they were busy with multiple customers to help and they did so with a smile on their faces and as efficiently as they could. James provided excellent service and truly made the start of our ubox experience seamless. Moving across the country is no easy task and stress levels were high anticipating load day, but when the day arrived James had the ubox ready for us bringing it up before we even got there! (Thank you!). Loading on a Sunday gave us a tight time frame to get it back same day, but the timeliness and preparation James took made it possible! He even helped us out of a dead end in the parking lot (I know, embarrassing!) Thank you so much!

I will start this by saying Eva is the most kind/helpful person I have met in a long time!I was told the day before my out of state move there was no equipment for me to use in the entire state of Washington I was in shock so I called around to other uhual locations and was connected with Eva. She found me a truck AND trailer right away and went out of her way to ask me if I was doing ok when I was on the verge of tears. She turned a horrible experience into a seemless easy process and got me back on track for my big move.Thank you Eva! You deserve a raise!

It takes forever for them to answer the phone, the staff is rude and pushy, and they love to upcharge the customer. Im definitely not recommending this place to anyone I know.

You left me stranded with a broken truck with a severed fuel line. I still have a ton of stuff I need to move, but without the available time & means to move it. Now Im sitting up a creek without a paddle. Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with in my life to say the least. When trying to arrange to have the truck picked up and swapped you were impossible to get a hold of (did nothing but endlessly transfer me back & forth into the ether) then after leaving me waiting for over an hour you completely no showed... When I managed to get a hold of you again you took even longer. Only to finally insult me, call me a liar, and threaten to charge me for the cost of having to tow the busted truck that you sent me out with. Hard to even convey into words how angry & violated I feel. Obvious from top to bottom that you dont care about the customer whatsoever, and you dont even make an effort to pretend to. Shouldnt be in business!!!

Excellent staffers here. Polite, affable, professional and helpful. A young woman was training a new staff person here and, having been a trainer, I was impressed with her knowledge, patience and the respect she showed her trainee. These folks know what they are doing

I didn’t know this location was here and stumbled upon it. Excellent service and they had all the boxes I needed. I also heard they are going to build storage so I made sure to get on the waiting list.

They over charge

This place is Ripoff, I book a van here without CDW $10 insurance coverage, the next day I picked it up and I told the register I dont need it again. The next few days I saw my bill with that $10 charged so I went back talk to them but they dont want to refund. Be careful if u need a uhaul here.

Love this Duwamish location but lackluster in speed of customer service. Longest I have had to wait with 1 rep. 12 minutes. And I rent frequently and from various locations and unfortunately there is the same problem.

If I can give a neg star I would.. whats the point of booking online if your not going to hold or have said equipment. Wasted time and money.. even a phone call to tell me it wasnt available would have been helpful.

Worst customer service experience EVER! The manager was the rudest person I have ever encountered. My girlfriend and I went in to get our truck on a Saturday. Our appointment was at 10am. We got there at 9:30 as we were meeting friend an hour away at 11am to move all of our stuff out of storage. We wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to get the truck and be able to meet them on time. There was a man in front of us in line. When he walked up to the counter he said he had an 8AM appointment to get a truck meaning he was 1 1/2 hours late. They started helping them. Knowing our time crunch and the fact that we were on time my girlfriend walked up to the counter and politely asked if they could help us first since we were on time for our appointment and we need to meet friends. She was refused. Then she asked the man if he wouldnt mind waiting for them to help us since he obviously wasnt on a time crunch, being late and all. He refused. At that point the manager on duty that day proceed to start yelling at my girlfriend to get back in line and stop harassing customers. We were like good, the manager is here maybe she will listen to reason and help us. Not only did she NOT help us she berated us and told us she would refuse to let us rent the truck that we had reserved weeks in advance if we didnt get back in line and shut up.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service skills with that one. How she became a manager I will never know. My girlfriend and I both work in industries that deal with customer service and if we helped someone who was over and hour late before helping the person who was on time we would have gotten in trouble. Imagine you go to your doctor on time for your appointment and they help someone before you who is late to their appointment. It wouldnt happen there and it shouldnt have happened here at this location. We have been renting from Uhaul for over a decade and never had a bad experience until now. We will continue to use Uhaul as our complaint is NOT with them except for the fact that they should probably try and hire someone better with customers to run this location.RUN FAST to any other location to rent your stuff for your needs other than this one unless you like being treated like garbage. DO NOT RENT from here.

We reserved a truck a week before and came earlier for a 10 AM scheduled. However, we came with a long line and 10 AM past we still havent acknowledged so we asked help from the manager since we still have other appointments on the day. But the manager instead of apologizing, just shrug us off and told us to get back in line. That was rude and horrible. I will not come again.

Doesnt matter if you reserve equipment or not, nothing is ever guaranteed with U-haul. And oh, they can call you, but wont discuss any other details of your reservation except for changes they want to make because they cant identify who you are; even though they just manipulated the reservation on my behalf because I gave me them the right phone number associated to my reservation. Well, if you dont know that I am who I say I am, then how can you edit my reservation since you did not truly identify me? Completely and utter does not make sense. So then I ask to speak to a manager, because if what she said was true then you completely violated changing my reservation since you did not verify my identity. And then she hangs up ... and here have it, customer service at its best! If I hang up, then you have no other recourse but to call back and speak to someone else to which I did and lo and behold, I got all the details without an issue. Its not like its PII folks, wasnt asking for a birth date, SSN, or phone/address that isnt already publicly available, just confirmation of date of pickup/dropoff, times and location .. none of which is considered private information.

The worst experience. They wouldnt rent to me because my land lady owned them money. Have you ever heard of anything so stupid. Why am I responsible for her debts.

They claim “makes moving easier” but it really doesn’t when you always have 1 person in the whole building. I’ve been waiting in an empty building

Karen at this location went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get me a motorcycle trailer in my time of need. When the uhaul location i was already at decided to tell me they didnt have one, and couldnt look up other uhaul locations stock, I called the Duwamish store. Karen promptly got online and found that the current uhaul location I was at DID have the trailer I needed, and also went ahead and booked it for me! This is what stellar customer service looks like!
