This is a great place to grab a great record large selection and also grab a record player. I got a player and John was very helpful and assted with some problems we had . awesome energy and great service I give 5 stars for awesomeness of service thank you for your help.

Came in tonight to get a Muse vinyl for me and a vintage Peter Pan vinyl for my best friend. The lady there was super helpful and friendly, and the prices were super fair even for the vinyl I bought new. Thank you so much, I hope to come back soon!Best, Stevie

Fantastic store chock full of records, tapes and 45s. Been there a few times and thoroughly enjoyed searching through their bins for what I needed to fill out my collection. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

A New Record Store in Tulsa!!!! It felt incredible to flip through the large collection!! Great place and Great prices! From the moment I walked through the door, I felt like I was stepping back to my own past. Believe me you dont want to skip this experience! This is my favorite record shop. Maybe Im biased, because I like a place that recreated what a record store looks like and kept close to that image. The staff are always incredibly kind. I love how many local records they have on shelves as well as the clearance bin :)

The records are clean, reasonably priced and organised by genre. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a large section of rough records that might contain some hidden gems. They have a wall that displays some VG to mint records, if you see one you want on that wall buy it, it might not be there your next visit.😁

Comfortable laid back atmosphere, listening bays for checking out albums. Nice selection of new releases, but the assortment of classic, vintage and unusual albums are what really surprised me. Was able to find some forgotten jams from yesteryear at a really good price. Definitely worth checking out!

This place has a variety of used and new CDs, along with used and new vinyl records for sale. Anyone interested in increasing their collection of music on CD, vinyl, and even old cassette tapes will like visiting the store. They have music playing and The store has that nostalgic record store feel.

Josey has a lot of records. Unfortunately, at least in their Tulsa location, I have never found anything that I was looking for. I have read reviews of others praising the friendly and helpful sales staff. That has never been my experience. In fact, today (Record Store Day 2019) they yelled at me. Truly yelled. I had come from Starship where it was a free-for-all, which I enjoyed because you are moving around with a sense of anticipation, to Joseph, which had a Black Friday Walmart line for the hope of looking through their single rack of records. Not understanding, I joined those at the rack (have I mentioned that their was only one), where the sales associate started berating me. My suggestion is this: go to Josey next time you are in Dallas. While in Tulsa, go to Spinster or Starship, where they don’t yell at customers. For used stuff, in the age of Discogs, save yourself the disappointment and avoid the not-so-friendly and not-so helpful sales staff, and just shop online. Unless you want to listen to people talk about which banana plugs they use and why. In which case, enjoy Josey.

Cool store to get some of that new hip vinyl but its kinda setup strange. Then again Ive never been to a record store that had it setup in a logical manner.

Uppity Staff, classless and down right rude. My wife took some of her late fathers albums to sell in order to help cover some of the funeral costs for her family and the man behind the counter, without even looking through the albums, stated, those are all trash. Obviously my wife was very upset and hurt, and called the clerk out for his rudeness. We were then told to leave and not return. No worries there, we most certainly will never do business with you. BTW there was a rare Thelonius Monk album in that trash, it fetched a good sum of money and helped the family. To bad for Josie Records, a little bit of courtesy and service would have been profitable, but your clerk decided to go that other way.

Great place, mediocre selection

This is a review on selling, not buying. I brought in a collection that was in fair condition. Not excellent.Not perfect. Fair. Great titles: Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Hendrix, etc. They all spin without skipping. Some of the covers were worn at the corners and yes, some had faded a bit. I had thirty titles and he offered me NOTHING. Jeff said he would probably put some of them in the $1 bin. An original pressing of Led Zeppelin IV in the dollar bin?!?! Its forty-five years old. Its not going to be perfect. Dont waste your time selling vintage records here unless they have been sealed in a vault since they were pressed. I looked around and found more obscure and older titles in the same condition for $10-$20. Just stick to online. Its the only fair market anymore.
