We are very pleased so far. We reserved a unit that was available when we showed up to sign for it. Patrick was fantastic at getting the paperwork filled out for us and when we went to the unit, it was clean and easy to get to.

The staff here were very friendly and helpful getting me set up. The prices are great, the location is close to my house and the prices were the cheapest I could find online for the size I was looking for. It’s all very clean and secure.

We’ve only been here since December 2019. No real complaints thus far. If I have anything that’s not positive to say it would be regarding one of the staff members who saw us pull up in front of the office ready to go in when he turned the sign around that said he was out on the property and promptly went somewhere in the back of the office area. NOT COOL!

It was OK. All of these storage places compete in a very tight market and all seem to settle out with little variation on the actual facility and staff which i suppose is good as there arent many truly awful places or spectacular places. The main differentiation is their pricing and special deals which vary considerably. Having said this, this specific location was reasonably well maintained, clean, friendly staff and a decent location. Recommended if you can get the deal you are looking for at the time you are looking for a storage space.

I’ve been using them for almost two years and they’ve been so great. Always responsive to questions and kind when interacting with me, which is something that is rare to see from a business. Facilities are very clean and well maintained. I have important documents and instruments that I’ve stored here during my time with them and they have no damage from humidity, rodents, etc. if I ever find myself in need of a storage unit again I’ll be back here.

Great facility with 24 hour access. I serve on the worship team for Salt Church. I am responsible for loading up our sound equipment and some video equipment for our worship service on Sunday. Having 24 hour access gives me the flexibility to load and unload equipment. We also keep our equipment trailer there as well. I highly recommend Simply Storage for all of your storage needs.

I rented a unit for a little over 1.5 years. During that time I had a few issues- the first being that I was misled about the renters insurance. When I signed up I was told I needed to take theirs if I didnt have any of my own, but that once I got my own I could delete the storages insurance that was costing an extra 10 bucks or so a month. When I did just that, they claimed that wasnt the policy and made me keep their insurance even though I could prove I had mine. I probably should have moved my unit at that point but obviously the company knows what a hassle this would be and that they have you over a barrel. When I did eventually move out I discovered a large termite mound in the corner of my unit. Some of my furniture was affected. I dont think the moisture at this facility is kept in check very well. If the company wants to make this right, they should refund my 10 dollars a month that I had to pay above and beyond everything else.

I would like to give them 5 stars because they are very military friendly and I had no issues while I had my belongings there and no issues to cancel. Its very safe and the staff was always incredibly nice. Bonus points: they always had carbonated drinks to cool you off and cookies to keep the kids occupied lolRecommend them 100%

I had an issue finally resolved so i changed my review to a positive one. Thank you to the property manager Al for helping me out and caring about my issues. I also like the flexibility of being able to access my units anytime of the day and having them climate-controlled.

Online price for rental doesnt include the hidden fees of renting a lock from the location at $15 a month, as a standard storage unit lock cant be used. A promotional price of $50 a month had a move in cost of $170. Kind of a bait and switch business model. Went to a competitor and got a unit that was bigger, and considerably less excessive. I would say that simply storage is a great option IF you have no other options.

Great people and a great value for your storage or extra storage need

I rented at Simply Storage, VA Beach facility between 2017 and 2018, for about 18 months. Due to a previous experience with another storage in Boston, I was very skeptical about all storage. Thankfully, I came across the Simply Storage facility at VA Beach, tried them, and they restored my trust.First the intrinsic - they are at a good site, secure, on a wide road not very traffic-ky, have big area, all units on the same level and stuff. They top this intrinsic strength with things they can control - sturdy build, wide internal roads, cleanliness, security systems, working gate codes, great access hours, no hidden fees, ample parking spaces, well lit etc. I rented a climate controlled unit that was on the inside, but never had problem moving my stuffs, including bulky furniture, in and out. There was once a flood scare, but that was a natural hazard which was very well managed. There is U-Haul truck rental onsite, so you dont have to run around. I also got my mails there, and never missed any packages. I never noticed any evictions or other drama there, so I guess their tenants are more responsible as well. I personally set an auto-payment, and never had any trouble. Nothing was charged to my card except things I agreed to pay for. Prices are little higher than some other facilities, but you get what you pay for. Contract was reasonable. There was no sales-sales-sales push all the time (there are upgrades/things you need that you can buy from there, but they are not going to trick you into buying those).That brings me to the service. Staff are courteous, friendly and professional. They answer their phones. They have been working there long enough, so didnt have to deal with very many people. They are very knowledgeable about local area, so good to seek references from. Al is a legend.In a nutshell, I highly rec this storage facility, and wish them all the best.-Wish

Do not use this storage facility. It will flood in heavy rain. During May 2018 there was a rainstorm that flooded many units, due to this being an act of God the insurance they offer does not cover anything. Also after moving out of the unit on June 7th qnd paying for the full month of storage I am told that they only offer prorated rent from the 1st through the 5th.I would not recommend this storage unit. Lesson learned from me about what to look for when renting a unit.
