Catering - just received a catering order that was subpar from sandwiches to dessert. I know it seems trivial but my group lives for the bundt bites. This is the second catering order in a month where the beloved dessert has been missing. There is no way to provide feedback other than by phone and the team their is obviously busy. Need a method to provide feedback so you can make improvements. I should have to do a Google review. Im taking a break from Corner Bakery.

First off, the woman working the register was one of the sweetest people ever, I believe her name was Elsi. The food was delicious but unfortunately I have one complaint. I love eggs with my breakfast whatever it may be and prefer over-easy eggs. I was glad to eat the scrambled eggs which is the only option. They were very unseasoned but I dont fault the cooks. Theyre cooking with the supplies theyre given. The bathrooms were a wreck but understandable during Memorial Day Weekend.

Excellent place, excellent option for the price. I couldn’t even finish my chicken pasta . Totally recommended. Also the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Food that we received was tasty. But our pickup breakfast order was missing / wrong in several respects:- both kids’ milks missing- all sides (potatoes, oatmeal missing)- one entree entirely missing with a different incorrect one in its place- one dessert from our “6 pack” missing- one entree missed ingredientsPlace was packed, and when I called to ask what to do, they hung up on me once and put me on hold the second time…. Some basic customer service practices (checking order against receipt) would avoid these situations that create a headache for everyone.

Awesome breakfast place. Very nice and friendly staff. All the people in our group were happy. Quick and efficient service.

I am visiting from out of state. Ordered several items online. I arrived past the estimated time of completion and only ONE item was prepared. When asked about my order, a few staff members looked for it. Then It was said that they didnt have time for it.. granted there was a long line l, but still. I should have went to Panera or Starbucks instead. Im out of money for products never received. I will need a refund.

The food and coffee were average, and the manager had a shoving match with a homeless woman while we were there. Still light-years better than Dunkin!

Delicious food, fast service, and great seating area. We visited toward the end of the day and the staff walked around offering free cookies to everyone at closing time!

There were 5 of us and our order ended up missing 2 meals BUT, it was made right immediately. Everyone was full and satisfied with our meals.

They offer different kinds of food, sweets and coffee. I really enjoyed the food, I ordered an avocado wrap and cappuccino for 9.5$ ^^I recommend it

Place is not clean. Trash bins are full most of the time. Under-staffed thus, the 2 people I mostly see cant handle the customer flow and get grouchy at times.

Had to send my avocado bowl back because it had no avocado in it. Once it came back, this is what it had. It had what seemed to be one slice of avocado cut up and that was it. Good bowl but please ensure you’re putting enough avocado if you’re advertising this as an avocado bowl. Again, this is a picture of my bowl after I sent it back. Coffee was decent.

For $10 you can get a chicken Pomodori sandwich with one cherry tomato and one lovely leaf of basil with a magical tiny deli sliced portion of chicken. See picture for reference Im not exaggerating!

Keep it simple here....coffee ok...maybe pastries allright...scrambled eggs and such a bit too complicated for them...and small portions...

The names a bit misleading, its not much of a bakery. It has some food, but nothing special and not much. Otherwise, a nice place.

I like mozzarella and tomato sandwiches. That’s all I’ve ever gotten there, but the service was very fast and the price was a little lower than I’d expect. Nice people, too.

Why isnt all French toast made with a cinnamon roll?!?! Chain restaurants have their staples and I sure hope this is available everywhere. Delicious! Breakfast sandwich and coffee were also good. Service was prompt and friendly.

We had a great experience at the bakery thanks to the wonderful staff who took care of us! Nana at the register was extremely patient and so kind with the three kids who were trying to figure out what they wanted to order and Tye was quick, efficient, professional and so friendly when he took care of us at the table. The staff made it a truly enjoyable breakfast spot and we will have fond memories of it.

I love this location!They recently remodeled their store and it looks great. The staff is amazing however, the food is definitely the star. Its hot, fresh, delicious, and yummy. Its easy to find and its located next door to Marshalls. I cannot say enough about this location. I really missed them when they were closed. However, the remodeled store looks great. You wont be disappointed!

Saturday morning staff on 7/24/21 should all be fired. Thats all.

Coffee was good but the worst cheesecake brownie I’ve had. I guess it’s old and dry..

Had a great experience with my family. There were seven of us traveling together, which is sometimes a challenge at some restaurants. Here at the Corner, even with a lunch crowd, we were able to order food quickly, and find seating as well. The food was served warm and tasted great. The prices were also not outrageous with the portions of food received. Would recommend the cafe for anyone.

The staff was fine but people came into that place and ordered food with no masks.

Not what I am accustomed to from Corner Bakery. Wilted iceberg lettuce, the salad appeared to be a bit wet, and the taste was subpar. Hopefully just a fluke. However 9.00 was a bit much for a subpar salad.

This is a counter order sit down diner with fantastic breakfast food at a surprisingly affordable price. We ate here for breakfast everyday my family of four and I were in DC. Besides the food quality and price we kept coming back because of the awesome customer service. I’d like to name Tye who has an awesome attitude and works hard with a smile on his face the entire time. His good attitude is infectious.

My husband & I traveled to DC to see a show at the National Theater & are unfamiliar with the area. We werent looking for anything fancy pants or expensive. We just randomly picked this gem while walking around & were not disappointed! I was immediately impressed with the amazingly friendly staff & we both thought our meals were absolutely delicious! We thought wed have to break the bank to eat in downtown DC, but the prices were super reasonable. If we ever go back, I would make a point of going here again.

It was pretty good! I got the Anaheim something for breakfast and it was super yummy. So was the cinnamon muffin. Only reasons I dont give 5 stars is because it was too expensive ($3 for a muffin??) and the gal at the register had no idea whether or not there were nuts in the muffins. She even said They might be nut-based but dont have any nuts in them What does that even mean?

Great coffee and the pecan pie bar was incredible!

We stayed next-door at the JW Marriott for six nights and ate at the Corner Bakery about eight times. That’s how good it is! The breakfast and lunches are really tasty. But what sends it over the top is the quality of the staff. Each and every one of them is extremely professional and friendly. It’s funny how a small store like this can earn such high marks but I’m not kidding! I love it here!

The food here is incredible, if you have all day to wait for them to make it. And then for them to make it again. Got here at 5:45pm and placed an order, no one else in line before us. Waited until 6:15 for the wrong meal to come out. The right meal finally arrived at 6:30, but without the garlic bread that comes with the meal.

I always get the turkey avocado cobb salad when Im here and it was delicious as usual. In restaurant dining was allowed, it set-up for social distancing, all staff wore PPE.

A pleasant surprise! Great prices, you wont blow your budget there. The meatball panini was delicious. You get your order fast. Went there around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.

Forget the 30 Starbucks on every corner and go here. So mad I walked by this bakery 10 times during my stay and didnt go in until my last day in town. Fantastic staff, great coffee and the sandwiches for breakfast were amazing. The muffins are so delicious it made me sick to think of eating another plastic package pastry from Starbucks. EAT HERE!!! BEST breakfast Ive had in DC.

Nice little place for soup and sandwiches. Prices are good, wait staff very friendly. Definitely a no frills lunch stop which is perfect when youre on the go or just looking for a easy lunch.

Cashier very unprepared to work with clients. Tried to order croissant with eggs around 1015 am. She said in a sarcastic way are you not expecting to find croissant and eggs at 1015 are you? We are out...I said : yes I am, if it is in your menu why not? At least find someone more friendly and prepare to work with costumers for sure I had a bad impression of this place....

I went with a highschool class as a type of field trip and it was our favorite meal!!! Very cool place with great food and staff. The cookies we got with our meal were absolutely amazing! Definitely going back if Im ever in DC again👍🏼

The commuter croissant was served on a wonderfully buttery, flakey croissant that was very large and I could have happily eaten as a meal. It had enough crisp bacon to satisfy a true carnivore. The slice of cheese detracted from the excellent quality however it was not melted on so was easy to remove. This is a good place to meet friends for a snack or meal when you feel like really good bakery.

We had the best fettuccine prawns( shrimps)😋😋😋in Washington DC. Wanted more cant find any Bakery Cafe in NYC. Found 1 cafe in Las Vegas but it was 30 minutes away from us. Definitely we will be looking for this cafe when we travel to USA.🤗🤗🤗

Pretty good café, think of Panera Bread. Essentially the same thing. Pretty pricey, but for the area it is pretty much spot on. Coffees hot, food is hot, and there is plenty of seating in the am. Nice quick stop.

Egg sandwich is great: level of bread crispiness is just right, the same with bacon; egg is soft and juicy; tomato and salad are fresh. One thing, though, is that as sandwiches dont hold their structure well while youre eating them, you would probably need more napkins, than servant brought to you. One detail really spoiled the experience: it is not so easy to find table without crumbs on top of it. If cashier wasnt so helpful I might think about leaving the place without my breakfast.

Cashier forgot to give me a number...had to ask after I figured out their process! A salad took 40 minutes! Lots of help wandering around but clearly no cooks?Salad was okay but not close to worth the wait.

The worst restaurant/cafe experience I have ever had. There is a menu of about 50 items, but they had run out of about 90% of this. Even worse, they allowed customers, including myself to order food items that were sold out. I ended up waiting 35 minutes for a bagel and cream cheese. There were tons of employees but I have no idea what they were doing, other than yelling at each other and customers. The manager was chatting on his phone and also yelling at his employees. The entire restaurant was dirty. The bagel I ate was decent so I suppose the 1 star is deserved. But then again how do you mess up a bagel with cream cheese? Ill give them 0.5 stars and round up to 1. Just a terrible experience and waste of time to go in this place. It is truly amazing a place like this can make a profit and continue to operate.

I want to give a special thank you to Tiffany Francis of the Catering Department for delivering a fabulous Brunch for my organizations Thanksgiving Brunch. She is the ultimate professional and is definitely a plus to Corner Bakery Cafe. She knows her stuff. I received emails from the staff with comments like the food was the bomb. It was truly delicious. The portions were really generous and we even had left over food for staff to nibble on in the afternoon. Tiffany, I hope the site shares my comments with you. I really appreciate your patience and you taking the time to guide me through all the questions I had about portions and what to serve at brunch. Everything was on point. The staff loved the bacon. Her assistant Dashawnna was great at helping me set-up the food ensuring that everything was in place before the staff arrived. Thank you Corner Bakery Cafe for delivering a wonderful menu, delivering the food on time and great employees.

Nice place to grab a sandwich and a drink. Staff was helpful and the menu had a wide variety of things to choose from. More importantly, there was enough room to sit and enjoy your meal. The food was good, but I think the price is a bit too high in comparison.

Ate breakfast at this place while at DC. Food was great and tasty. I had been here several years ago and I honestly feel that they need to train their staff better. They need to be more friendly and attentive with their customers.

They had a long wait so I expected fresh food but my bacon was chopped to bits full of fat in my potatoes were cold :-( very disappointing but the staff was very nice and handling the stress of overwhelming volume very well.

We were here for breakfast one Sunday morning. The line was long and there was only one cashier but she was quick and efficient so we were able to place an order in 10 minutes. However, it took almost half an hour for the food to finally arrive. The food was filling and priced reasonably but was not particularly impressive. Restroom was clean.

Really unfriendly rude staff. To the owner.. its critical that you tell your employees if they want to be rude they will be fired. Your cafe receives tourists and locals and if the girls there want to take an attitude its going to cost you money. Im not going back to there, not after the snippy remarks from the cashier to my wife. My wife was trying to be nice, but your girls are rude. Do yourself a favor, fire them all and start over. Build an atmosphere of customer service. If you dont you will be sure to go out of business.

I came in to eat during the lunch rush & the place was packed! Tristan G was the cashier & was so friendly & positive, making jokes with customers & keeping spirits up in the long line. He was friendly & efficient with his work, I had to give a shout out for his great customer service!

This has a good price for breakfast. Enjoy their ice teas.

When it is busy people make mistakes....but when 3 out 5 orders are messed up or not ready but served.??? that is the quality of this places staff and the quality of the manager. I cant even remember the numbers now..I forgot after their 10th mistake in 2 months. They seriously have communication problem between staffs. They really do. staffs might be friendly to customer, but working environment is not friendly. I have seen so many times they are arguing each other.

I won’t order catering from Corner Bakery Cafe again, sadly. Their breakfast/coffee morning spreads are excellent. Their lunch catering is yummy, but they failed to deliver part of our order. I had two people who just didn’t receive a lunch as a result. And when I called, they said they’d send the delivery driver back out right away, which took an additional 30 minutes for them to drive back to us. While we did get all the main dishes eventually, we were still missing a couple of items even after the redelivery (cookies + side options). It was quite disappointing.

The worst.My husband and I were in the area to get his watch repaired by the jeweler store just across the street. While we waited, we decided to stop in for a quick lunch. I ordered a spinach sweet crisp salad with chicken, and dressing on the side. I had to send back my order twice - first time- my salad was drenched in its dressing, second time - there was no chicken. After spending nearly 30 minutes just to get my order right, I noticed the strawberries were rotten. And into the trash my lunch goes...In addition, the cashier did not know the menu well. She told me the chicken would cost addition 50 cents extra. When she learned her mistake in pricing, she did not know how to correct or remove it from the system.As if those two strikes werent enough, I find it extremely unsanitary that the cleaner would wheel a cart full of dirty dishes and trash around the sit down area to clear the table. There was a cart full of trash stationed next to me my face for a good 10 minutes while I waited for my food.The whole experience was a nightmare. Never again.

I visited Washington, DC recently with my immediate and extended family, and attempted to dine at Corner Bakery; however, we ran into some issues that particular evening in terms of being able to order our food. I contacted the Manager Darryl to share our experience the following day, and explained why our party of 8 didn’t get to order at his restaurant. Darryl immediately apologized for the inconvenience and invited us to return which we did a couple of days later. Darryl and his day staff were accommodating, professional, and served up a delicious lunch before we flew home that day.Understandably, everyone makes mistakes and there are improvements to be made, but at the end of the day, it’s what’s done to right the wrong that’s more important to me, and that’s what Darryl and his staff did—they overcame a negative experience in a positive, personable and professional way. For that reason, my family and I will return to this Corner Bakery when we travel to Washington, DC again this month.Darryl, thank you and your staff for all that you did to provide us with a positive experience and delicious and healthy Corner Bakery meals!

Dont go here unless you are in need of good food with good portions. They actually took my order wrong once, but the wrong order was so delicious I even sought gratitude. A must visit in washington DC, outshining the whitehouse or any museums on the national mall.

Good choice for breakfast if you are staying nearby hotels

I would like to make a comment on the services at the store # 96. Manager Justin and Delonte and how they both are so professional and Treat their customers in a friendly way. I sometimes come there just to get my morning coffee but always looking forward to having my positive conversation with them both. Great job they are doing there.
