Best breakfast treat in town: croissant-pretzel! Great lobby in the Line Hotel to work and hangout.

Beautiful decor. Expensive pour over ($6.60) but good experience inside to work.

Fantastic “third wave” coffee and delicious snacks. Because they focus on quality rather than throughout the line moves a little more slowly.

Cool ambiance. The hotel lobby seating area is one of the best coffee vibes in DC. This is a new favorite spot. Try the Okinawa latte

Excellent and beautifully designed. Great latte, great pastries. If you are looking for a cozy cafe thought, its not yours. Guests of the hotel are checking-in and out and most of the building is focused on hotel guests. The hotel is a unseparatable part of the cafe.

I’ve been trying to make my way through all of the coffee shops in DC, and steadily getting there. The design and atmosphere is decent, but you will have to take your coffee and sit in the big open lobby that is also occupied by other restaurants and shops. (You also have to be careful where you choose to sit, as some tables belong to certain restaurants.)Most of the prices are consistent with other coffee shops. But, where I find it hard to agree with the prices is charging $6 for a pour-over coffee. Generally, I only order pour-overs if they are available and after visiting dozens of coffee shops in DC and only paying $4 max for a pour-over, I can’t justify $6. In addition, the coffee beans they use are Counter Culture which isn’t expensive either. If you come here I only recommend getting one of there espresso based drinks and not the over-priced pour-over.

I have been coming here ever since it opened. Most of the time we received decent service and good quality baked goods. Last time we had to wait more than 10 minutes, because they were short staffed. Only one guy was doing everything. To make matters worse, we paid $11 for two very dense chocolate croissants. Somebody messed up big time. I called the next day to tell them about the problem and no one was available to talk. They took my number and guess what, nobody bothered to call. Very bad customer service. Never again I spend money on their overpriced baked goods.

Great little coffee spot inside The Line Hotel. They have an assortment of pastries. The croissants are pretty amazing. The coffee and espresso is pretty great. Definitely stop in and give their coffee a try.

I’ve been several times, the line is swanky-hip as hell. The Cup we all race for is nice, customer service is either fantastic or decent. Most importantly the plain croissants are the best in this town. Also not about TCWAR4(why is your name so looooong) but Betsy at brothers sisters was super friendly and helpful.Edit: coffee is also real good. Usually get caps or cortados. Both are good. Yup.

Making my way through all the coffee shops has been a slow and steady race but one that Im enjoying the long ride. Since we were already at the Line Hotel for a tour and some lunch, we decided to grab some much-needed caffeine afterwards. The coffee bar is to the right when you walk through the doors. Its really just a pick-up counter service. You can pay and take your coffee to the lobby if you want to sit down and enjoy. The coffees are sourced from Counter Culture, and they also offer some specialty seasonal drinks, herbal teas, and pressed juices. There are some pastries and other savory items that are baked onsite every day by the pastry chef.I ordered a maple latte with oat milk, and it was delicious. I felt like it was fall weather with my drink! Love that they have oat milk (they dont really advertise it on their menu) as an alternative. Im planning to try the golden turmeric latte next time.If youre staying at the Line, its so nice that there is this little coffee bar inside to get your day started. And if youre all about the Instagrammable spots, both this coffee bar and the coffee cups here are perfect.
