My eye exam was good. The doctor was very professional and asked/ answered my questions. I ordered glasses, the man assisting me was very helpful and patient. They took about two and half weeks to come in. I expected about a week. The glasses are nice, however I needed them adjusted and one pair was good the other pair they couldnt get it adjusted after 3 times so I left it alone and figured I give it a few days. The girl assisting me seemed like it was a bother since she had to go in the back room to fix them or pass them along to the tech. Waiting on her I noticed another customer asking about his adjustments and the same thing. Seemed like they get bothered when hey have to go back to fix them. The glasses fell off my face when I bent over and they dont sit on my face well. Wearing them all day I get frustrated having to play with them constantly. I am going to try another My eye doctor location to see if they can fix them to my liking.

The doctor was friendly and very professional. The eyewear staff was not very friendly. I sat was sat in the eyewear area and was not greeted by anyone for a considerable amount of time. The selection was okay for my insurance and I found a frame quickly. There were 4 staff members in area and only one was working with customers. Granted the phones were busy and making glasses takes time. The problem is that more and more people were coming in and no one was greeting them either. As a former opticians apprentice I was shocked. The doctors and opticians I worked for would have reprimanded me for that type of behavior. After waiting with my frames selected for a while the fourth employee helped me. She didnt ask if Infound everything ok or if I wanted to upgrade my lenses at all. She hardly spoke to me at all. After making customers wait, it is important to make them feel like their wait was worth while. It really is the small things that make a difference and thats why I had to give 3 stars.

I will start by saying that this should be a 1 star review. I gave it 2 stars because the front end employees were very nice.I had an eye exam and ordered glasses. The cost was about $1100 for two pairs of glasses. Got the call that my glasses were ready. When I put them on I knew right away that they were not right. Everything looked skewed or tilted. I was told that I needed a few days to adjust to the new script. I have been wearing glasses for years and have never experienced this before. So, 5 days later I stopped wearing them and went back to my old glasses. I called and told them that the glasses were just not right. I was given another appointment for a new exam. While I was waiting I heard the desk clerk tell the doctor, your next appointment is another recheck. Another recheck?.....This was a different doctor from the1st exam I had. This doctor came up with a completely different script!So they now reordered the lenses with the updated script. A week later I go back in when they called to tell me they were ready. They were WRONG again. Skewed still and blurred vision.they wanted me to go back in another time and see someone else. Nope! I was done and asked for a refund. Which they processed without any issues. Also! something that surprised me...the frames you get are the ones on display that have been tried by others how many different times. I have not seen that before. Any other place I have been to the glasses on display are just that! Display only and you get new frames.I then called BJs wholesale in Southington, CT. Paid for another exam. The results were completely different from the previous two done by MyEyeDr. Ordered glasses and was out of there for under $500. Went in today and picked up my glasses and they are perfect!Several take aways from my visit to MyEyeDr; incompetent doctors, pricing too high and you are getting what I would consider used frames

Last year they gave me back my frames with someone elses prescriptions. I was almost blind when I put them on .. please do not go to them they only care about your money and not providing 100 percent customer satisfaction..

Believe the reviews you read about the customer service from this office. They respond to the negative reviews in an attempt to show they care but nothing seems to change with their customer service. Two weeks ago I had my eye exam. Was told I needed new glasses which I ordered. I was told it would take about seven days. So two weeks later I called this morning at 8:05am and was told they just came in today. I was told they needed to have final adjustments made and they would call when ready. I asked would that be today because I wouldn’t be able to pick up for a week since I will be away. I was told “absolutely they will be ready today”. Well office is closed and no glasses. I will definitely be going elsewhere in the future!!!

Customer service at this location is hit or miss. The lady who helped my girlfriend pick out her glasses was excellent. The lady Lisa who helped her with the fitting was miserable and rude. She got aggravated with my girlfriend because the glasses we paid good money for were bent when brought out. So my girlfriend asked for them to be adjusted and was met with a sigh and rude conduct from Lisa. I wish I remembered the first lady who helped us because she was excellent. Its ashame that unprofessional employees can ruin it for the other hard workers.

I like everyone this place.. I had an appointment for 8:15 and I got there at 8:45 my wait time was less than 5 min!!! Everyone is friendly!!! Highly recommend

Theyre all friendly, and give decent discounts on glasses and such. Also have a good collection of brands to choose from. the Optician here is extremely friendly!

Returning patient needing exam for dmv renewal. Called yesterday and specifically asked can I be fit in the next day. Was told appts are booked but can take me as a walk-in when doctors can fit me in, in between appts. Came out of my way this a.m and was sent away by Gail the front desk receptionist stating they do not take walk ins.

DO NOT GO THIS PLACE the doctor was rushing my 7 years old daughter and I asked him to be patient with her, he didn’t care, and he ended up giving my daughter the wrong glasses prescription I took her to the other my eye doctor at Lakewood rd in waterbury and the doctor ever there did confirm that her glasses had a very strong prescription that’s why she was having headaches all day and didn’t wa t to use them, the employees are very rude, I do not recommend this place not even to my enemy

Where do i start I have MS have to have my eyes checked every six months because of medication So I had my eyes checked by Eye Care Group got my prescription and came to My Eye Doctor for Lenses I have been coming for years. I live in torrington so this time I used My Eye Doctor in Wtby. What a mistake. I need lenses for near far and a prism for double vision. Anyway I got my glasses starting wearing them but I couldnt wear them all day. Would get dizzy couldnt walk after awhile couldnt see clear. So I wouldnt wear them only to see near. I would always complain to my doctor but I was told that prescription was right. This time I came to torrington to get new gasses because my glasses were old and scratched my eyes never changed thank God. So I picked out glasses I told the girl my problem Hoe Im supposed to wear them all day but I cant she was very surprised because my eyes havent changed in years. So she checked my old glasses everything was right but the prism WTBY office put a cheap version of my prism it wasnt the right one. I finally got the right glasses with the right prism and I could see fantastic. Ill never go to Wtby again. So be safe if you get glasses from them go somewhere else and have them checked SEE IF YOUR PAYING FOR THE RIGHT PRODUCT. YOUR EYES ARE VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

Okay so the front is a little disorganized but I think that’s due the the fact that they see so many patients. Also be sure to have at least 2 hours of your time bc this isn’t a quick thing but that’s okay what made me give this place 5 stars was my experience with many different health care providers I want to mention the DR Hongping Xu he was friendly and nice his assistant was very nice and informative I don’t know her name but she was friendly and nice. my last experience was with the area you go to receive your contacts/ glasses. I had a very nice man help me his name is Luis he is the office manager not only did he help me get my contacts for the right price he gave me a rebate offer for $60 back and gave me all the tools to help me get this rebate. He definitely went above and beyond to help me get the cheapest rate for my contacts. Thank you eye dr I highly recommend this place. Will see you all next year!!

Ive been going to this place for many years now, and continued when they switched to My EyeDoctor...I had to give 2 stars because the doctors are friendly, informative, and work pretty quickly.Their office however does not understand communication, and they have never failed to take FOREVER to process and recieve my frame/lense orders..I have spent over $400 on my most recent visit and weeks later, i havent recieved my contacts that were supposed to arrive in a few days, had to cancel follow-up appointments.. and now today I called to figure everything out..not only did I get no update but was told id be getting a call back from a technician who may have more info. The office has since closed; think they forgot about me?Probably going to ask for a refund and take my business elsewhere..I advise others to do the same. This company is unreliable and have been for years.

I waited an hour for my appointment in a very slow office. When I approached the desk to reschedule they said that they were “waiting for my paper”- the paper work they JUST handed me and and watched me sit with for an hour instead of indicating that they needed them in order to be called. Had to reschedule, not very interested in continuing being a patient with them.

My child was to be tested for glaucoma, and because I did not have the $15 balance due on the account(lost my job and only had $3 to get home, but I offered it as partial payment), they opted to reschedule the appt. That we waited almost one month for. Will never go back, found another place to continue the test.
