Excellent service, Id highly recommend to anyone who needs transmission work or any work for that matter. I needed a full rebuild, and Alex did a full inspection and gave me the rundown of exactly what had happened to my transmission. When we discussed that a full rebuild was needed, he was very descriptive with everything that it entailed, and provided a very honest and fair price for it all, and what I would consider a pretty quick turnaround time. He ended up finishing all the work faster than he quoted as well, and its smooth as butter now. My son was told by an auto shop that his Subaru needed a new transmission for around $2500 and I told him to get a second opinion. I contacted Alex at Talcott Transmission early in the morning and he was very polite and accommodating,he told me to bring it right over. There was a $115 + tax to diagnose it but We think was worth it, Alex call us and told us that the transmission was ok and was a electrical issue. Thanks to Alex and Sierra we now know what the problem is. We will recommend to check them out before you go to a dealer or Auto shop .

The dealership said that I needed a $600.00 bushing job. My friend recommended seeing Alex at Talcott Transmission. Alex went through my Pilot from top to bottom and told me that my car is in great shape, no work required. Aside from saving money, Alex earned my trust and appreciation. Its difficult to find an honest transmission shop, therefore the public should know that you will be taken good care of at this place, I have worked with the owner in the past and he is an honest person and technician. I know as a fact that if you bring your transmission concerns here you will receive the best work and expert advice...When it comes to a transmission rebuild you will get a true and complete rebuild with new parts, installed the right way. Cant thank you enough for all you have done for both Fred and I. Whenwe first brought my Taurus to you to check the transmission, I wasexpecting a major hit to my budget. You could have easily convinced methat the transmission had to be rebuilt or replaced, but you suggestedan alternative that not only worked but saved me money. Since then youhave continued to keep our cars running smoothly at a more than fair price.

I wish I could rate more than five stars, highly recommend, especially the transmission job that they did for my Ford Taurus, is perfect, Alex is the owner of his business with a long time experience and great personality, all of his team members are professional, after investigation on your car he explains car problem and how much will cost for repair without any hidden fees, they rebuilt my cars transmission in less than a week with a very reasonable cost, after completing all the required road test, certified warranty for 3 years unlimited mileage, now transmission is running like Brand new !!I recommended Alex and his professional team to all my coworkers, friends and family members, thanks again, Alex.

This auto repair shop is top notch in all respects, diagnosing, repair work and customer service. They diagnosed and repaired Mazda CX9 with a new transfer case and transmission fluid that the dealer said needed a new transmission and wasnt worth the cost of repairing. Talcotts repair was less then the dealer quoted and now car is used by a college student. Alex took the time on the diagnosis to make sure he was correct even driving the vehicle around to ensure the repair was correct. Most recently they fixed a Nissan Rogue AC. Alex knows his stuff and is very honest and up front. Definitely worth a visit if your car is in need of work.

After dropping off my suv with over 130k miles with delayed and hard shifting, Ken provided the diagnosis and options later that day. I let him know my choice and the car was ready after the next day of repair. Price was right where he estimated. The transmission now works like a new car. I would definitely recommend this business.

Ken saved me a ton of dough. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it ( it was a leaky slave cylinder ); wisely ignoring my suggestion that I thought the whole transmission needed to be replaced. Shifts smooth as glass now. Thanks Ken.

The guys at Talcott are extremely nice and friendly, and were able to inspect my car almost right away. They were able to adjust my break light sensor on the spot, and inspected my breaks at my convenience. They recommended services based on my needs, and did not suggest unnecessary fixes, flushes, addons, etc like some other auto shops do. I had an overall great experience with Talcott, and would highly recommend them, and will use them again for future auto needs.

Had issues with my transmission in my Highlander, so i decided to take it to my trusty local Hartford Toyota dealer.And why not, they are a certified Toyota dealer after all? Well i was in for a rude,and costly awakening.After diagnosing the problem,they suggested several options for repair.After steering me in the more costly and unnecessary option,and not solving the problem,i decided it was time to see the real pros at Talcott Transmission.I only wish i had gone there sooner.Excellent service straight shootersno bull.

Very honest business, my rear diff and front driveline were taken apart within 2 hours of my truck getting towed there. I needed my truck back asap and Ken made it happen.They know what theyre doing and dont take adavandage of customers like many other shops do!! Highly recommend.

Rebuilt the 4l60e transmission in my Roadmaster wagon. 20,000+ miles later tranny is still good as new. They also repaired a leak in the transfer case of my 2500 4x4 pick up after a season of plowing and thousands of miles still no leak. A shop with integrity. Highly recommend.
