Okay, so I love to shop 2nd hand stores. I also LOVE Value World. The Westland Michigan store is by far the best one that have been to. I was there on Wednesday 3/10/21 for the pop up 50% off sale.I walked in and right away I see the hand sanitizer right at the front door. Awesome! Then, you can see that they had a lot of carts available. (See Pics) I Started to look around since Ive never been to this location prior to this. It looks very organized and managed well. It just had that feeling. I see they had many registers open. Huge plus!! An employee was directing them on which cashier to cash them out. Impressive! I found many great treasures!! I had a question in regards to something, and the employee was very informative and double-checked his answer for me. Yay!As I walked around looking for more items, I noticed all workers were doing their job, not standing around chatting. Awesome, again!When I was ready to pay, the person directing customers to the registers was very professional. (None of the other value worlds do this that I know of).My cashier, Lisa did a great job. She also told me about signing up for the point system. Which I did. The new registers are very cool!! And a social distancing with a plexiglass were in place. I was happy about about this for obvious reasons.It was really a great experience at this location. Its about a 45-minute drive for me, but I will definitely go back to this location before I would go to the others at this point. To sum it all up, you know youre at a second hand store but you dont feel like it. I am impressed with the way the employees/management run this store. Great job value World Westland,MI!!!

It is a good place to find clothes for all seasons, good prices and good service.

Value World Is A resale shop and they have a wide variety of up-to-date clothing articles kitchen articles Furniture you name it they got it and its in good shape I recommend this place to everybody

Everything with red price on it is 1/2 off, alot of costumes here for children & adult size, bought my grandchild a dino outfit for $5

Update ..here months later ..prices are still STUPID...SEE PICSWho ever is in charge of pricing at this location should be reminded, this is a THRIFT STORE and NOT a boutique.So many overpriced items. If you want to çharge Ebay list prices at your store, you should just close down and list your stock on Ebay....

The prices were really high. Not sure whats going on. Usually you can always find a good deal but I guess not so much anymore.

Kinda dissatisfied this trip. Pricing was way off on very worn T-shirts and jeans. Plz throw the baldy Stained clothes away.

Horrible disgusting establishment. Absolutely do not shop here or support these people, they have an earwig infestation and treat elderly workers horribly in poor conditions. Most are on drugs as well. And I’m just gonna say I also know someone who worked here and sold people clothes with literal earwigs in them 😭 yuck

Enjoyed shopping at this location. The store is of great size. It is organized well and I like the boutique addition to the store. As a fellow boutique owner I was inclined to make an employee aware that some of the merchandise on the sales floor needed to be marked up and displayed in their boutique. The racks are shoppable and easy to find merchandise. My only complaint is the Christmas merchandise (for the most part) was not well organized. There are Christmas decorations scattered on the shelves atop racks of clothes. Also the area for (I guess) bigger toys and medical equipment was messy and unshoppable. Despite that, the employees are pleasant. I didnt understand holding the line to find a mgr. to price something (there were 7 people in line)I guess cashiers are not trusted to price. Anywho, they offered a 50%off coupon because I spent over $30 so I will be back. Oh and I found an awesome orange Liz Claiborne purse in excellent condition for $20!

Priciest value world around :/ prices keep rising everytime i go here, but things are cheaper at the Southfield location.

I enjoy shopping here. I find the other customers to be very cordial! I usually have a nice experience. Checkout can be difficult, slow, with not enough workers.

Store has changed the prices dramatically, been shopping here for years, hit my wall today. Save yourself the gas money and time. Store is unorganized dirty so is the parking lot. Try dollar tree for new things then value village. The store is empty for a reason everyone has caught on to the prices, some things cost more than Coles. Sometimes the original price tag is cheaper than theirs 😅😅

I love value world. Its clean the store is neat. The staff are very pleasant. They have much better things than good will. The items are in good and clean condition. I buy majority of dresses and tops from Value World. Thank You for the excellent service you provide.

Very clean location. Couldnt believe how fresh it smelled when I walked in. Staff was very nice, too. Only thing is the prices were pretty high at this location. Little surprised... everything else was great though!

Over priced. Theyve gotten outrageous trying to get eBay prices locally. Majority of stuff is donated through purple heart. People shop here for value so give it to them. Stop trying to ride the greed train.

Their prices seem pretty high compared to other thrift stores....because of this it seems there isnt much turn over so there is a lot of clutter in the store.....just my opinion....

There was a customer in the store in westland coughing and touching lots of things along the back walls small appliances and where umbrellas be..he was coughing constantly and very hard

Value World provides me with an opportunity to shop for vital materials at a reasonable price.  They have a wide variety of clothing here which makes the place particularly attractive.  Most of the clothing is priced just where it should be.  A lot of it is in very good condition and appears as if it hadn’t even been worn.  Their shoe selection is limited but dresses, pants, blouses, shirts, ties, pants, suits, sweaters – all are top of the line and worth a look.  Everything is color and size coded making shopping convenient.They have a nice sized book selection and the prices are reasonable.  Books range through all topics and are in good condition.  They have magazines and other reading material as well.  Their music selection is available though limited and dependent on recent acquisitions.  Any collector would want to take a look.I enjoy their specialty counter which features items ranging from jewelry to the unique and sometimes odd.  Always worth a look.The people that work here are hardworking and pleasant to interact with.  I like going here.  It’s a bright spot.

There isnt a refund or return policy....and they also dont allow you to try on clothes...so if you arent sure it will fit...you are out of luck. The clothes arent arranged by size. You will be in the store a while looking for your size.

A rare collection of whatever you need, whenever you need almosy always.well sorted, with spacious interiors which facilitates social distancing and not to mention the always cordial staff. Loved this store.

95% of the things we looked at had the wrong sizes marked on them. Without a dressing room,it makes it hard to find stuff. But the prices are great!

This is a really nice Value World. The cashiers are friendly, and they have a variety of things you can buy at a very reasonable price. I have been shopping here for years.

I was at this location two days ago, it was very clean and they had a lot of stuff but holy cow it was over priced! Probably why they had so much stuff. I know value works doesn’t have any %50 off coupons right now but they should have some type of sale. I wouldn’t even buy some of the stuff I saw at half off.

Value world is my favorite thrift store. theres a great selection of clothing, kitchenware, etc. to choose from. good prices, and those 50% off coupons dont hurt either. i could spend hours in there (and i have!).

I wonder if it was awkward charging me $3 for something that had an original price tag of $1 on it. 🙄 Saw a faux leather jacket for $79, some gingham pants for $18. Not the kind of thrift store prices Im used to.

You can get a great variety of assorted items. I got my prom dress from here for a really great price. You can also come and get things sick as dishes, trinkets, or other great items. Sometimes you get 50%off coupons if you ask.

No fitting rooms, so plan ahead and dress so you can try things on over your clothes if you want to (like tank top and leggings). There are also only a few mirrors, so theres often a crowd around them. The clothes are decently organized by color, but everything on shelves is a huge mess. Also, sometimes they overprice things. They do have coupons periodically, and they have a color tag on sale, BUT most tags are white (which doesnt go on sale), but they do clearance things.

The prices are very high compared to other thrift shops in this area...some are just as much as retail.They do not clean their item up either, very dirty store!!Some workers are nice, like Ruth, but some are very hateful!!I doubt Ill be back at this store...

I just found out about this store. Passed it for years. I found very good quality clothing at ridiculously low prices. (Ex. I got a pair of name brand jeans that looked nearly new for $1.90 a second pair for $3.40.) My only complaint is that there arent fitting rooms and no refunds or exchanges. So you must be sure of any purchases. Still a deal if you can walk out with 3 pairs of like new jeans for less than $10.

Love this store. Like they say one persons trash is another persons treasure! Its Soo true when it comes to this place. Plenty of stuff. It would take you all day to look at everything in this place. They have brand name items, good prices, and huge selection. I always walk out with a new wardrobe for under $50-$100😁 And once in a while they will send out 50% off coupons for a month. This is my favorite part, because its Soo affordable. I always find plenty of clothing with tags that have never even been worn. This place is definitely a score for me! My very favorite thrift shop. I’ve been shopping at Value (Village) World since the 90s for men’s cords and old man cardigans a la Kurt Cobain. I bought maternity clothes here in the 2000s and now I take my daughters for cool stuff.

The prices are amazing but expect to spend a LARGE amount of time here. You must comb through the many items to find the stuff you like and the sizes you need. Its not a walk and spot kinda store. I love all that they have to offer. I can find excellent options for myself and my husband here but unfortunately their childrens clothing is pitiful. Everything is either worn out completely, stained, or stretched out. When my daughter was a baby I found lots but anything over 18 months is hard to find quality stuff here.

This place has alot of stuff and its pretty cool to pick through it all. Its all second hand stuff and there are lots of fun and colorful things.

This is my go to store when I want to thrift, you can find some really great jems here. Its called looking and searching. Now if you dont have time to do that then well the people that do love this store can buy them up:) the people who work here do their best to keep this store as clean as possible and Ive witnessed some messy shoppers throw a bunch of stuff around. Over all this place is great

I usually love value world but yesterday I left the store and they forgot to include a mug I bought and theres no way to contact them about it. No phones in stores Im told by a recording.

Hands down best Value World Ive been to in the area. Organized, good stock. Found 2 air purifiers, retail 170 new for less than 13 a piece and other stuff I needed. Will be back.

Customer service is okay.. The plus size section is very small... And the prices are kinda steep.. Im not saying everything should be a penny, but everything is donated for free! Why mark free used clothes up to 8 dollars?

What makes me not shop here is if they dont have a price written or tagged on an item, they REFUSE to sell it to you! Considering they get their merchandise for free, they can at least allow the cashiers to price them. Nothing is more annoying than waiting in line, only to find you cannot buy something because they put it out and forgot to price it. Once they sent an employee over to tell me I couldnt shop because I was using a backpack style purse! They dont have a public restroom either due to their paranoia. Maybe someone should remind them these are second hand items donated to them for FREE! Yet they act like theyre a high end store like Bloomingdales and all the customers are out to rip them off. There are other second hand stores to shop at.

I go here whenI am looking for bargains and for the most part,I can find them. But the interior of this store needs work. Theres a lot of things scattered around and sometimes it looks like a garage sale in there. There should be bathrooms,too. But I DO like the bargains here. Just pick things up in there

Like the place, however, you something you like. Clothing wise, Im very hard to fit on pants (maybe a little anal). Wish they had a fitting room ( since Im hard to fit in the pant department ). Besides that, I I really like going there.

Westland Value World is unkept and dirty. Much of the clothing is stained and torn. The toy /miscellaneous area is a mess with stuff spread out everywhere on the floor and never neat. Make America Great Again and straighten this place out. Your competitors keep their stores up, why cant you?

Now I come here, buy them for $3 or less and cut them or dye them and HOORAY. Cute clothes. I have an indie type of style so I like to buy unique things and big mom jeans and roll them up and I look great while doing it. This is one of my favorite places.

I’ve been coming to the store for about five years and it’s one of the better value world and values your Michigan the prices are much cheaper compared to the one closer to the City Of Detroit I really like that it’s a large in their dresses aren’t as expensive.

Watch for coupons. This one is pretty clean and staff friendly. Beware no public restroom.

I found the store especially the household area to be unorganized and the medical equipment area to be unsafe as one could not walk through and was dirty. There was very little furniture. The prices were high. The checkout was not private as for others to check your personal info and was less than friendly. I will be visiting one more time to check if they can clean up there act if you know what I mean. I am not going to buy thirty dollars worth of stuff to get a discount. Even the umbrellas not a good selection. Take it from me I always tell the truth even if it hurts me miss bridget ford p.s. its not an opinion its just the plain truth period

This is a used clothing store with no fitting rooms! I dont understand... How do you sell clothes and not give people a place to try on clothes? Even the Salvation Army and Goodwill provide fitting rooms. Very disappointed.

Gently used clothing and household items. They have decorations, handbags and shoes starting at .40 cents.

Prices are very reasonable, just does not have changing/dressing rooms, organized store - good variety of items!

Good when they are not trying to get ebay prices. Thrift stores are about selling high volume at a low price, not selling at ebay prices to re sellers. Eventually sales will dry up and the prices will go back down.
