Cindy was so helpful when I lost the key to my storage unit. Love the ability to make an online reservation. One note... this location doesnt have an elevator so keep that in mind if renting the upper floor.

Honestly floored by the incredible customer service at this storage facility! I have rented from many similar facilities over the years, but its the people here that differentiate it; they really go above and beyond for their customers. Today, I was running around town on a super tight schedule, and had movers picking up items from my space at Public Storage, but realized I had lost the key to my space! The lovely ladies sprung into action for me to cut my lock so the movers could get to my items and they did it with a smile and a sense of humor. Ive had nothing but a great experience here in the 3-4 months Ive been storing items here!

Let me first say that Becca is a great employee. Now, I want to share my experience with this facility. My furniture had been in storage for over three years. When we arrived to clear the unit, my original solid granite dining room table top was lying in the center of the floor, smashed. My antique music stand was also destroyed. I was talked into the Orange Door insurance policy to protect my belongings when we first rented the unit. I filed a claim with Orange Door. No one called me back for almost three weeks. I was then told my $2000 table top and antique music stand were not covered due to ridiculous reasons that will never happen in a hundred years to anyone, ie. lightning strike, sonic boom, etc. I was not told about this when I was forced by Public Storage to purchase the insurance. The facility is clean and safe, but do NOT buy the Orange Door insurance. It is a rip-off, and has the worst customer service in the entire insurance industry. I should know. I have been in the insurance industry for years. By the way, they will raise your monthly rate on your unit without telling you in advance at Public Storage.

Renter beware. There have been multiple break-ins at this property. The only thing this company will tell you is that you store at your own risk this is the saddest thing I have ever heard. A customer is storing their belongs at this company presuming they will be kept safe. There is only one camera at the front gate. Let me add they are great at apologizing, but not securing the items placed at their storage facility by THEIR customers. Pleaseeee I beg you to choose another place to store your items. My storage unit was broken into A. First inconvenience and now B. Second inconvenience I have to find a new company and move my items at my own expense. Yeahhhh for me for trusting a company with such a large branded name like Public Storage. DO NOT RENT FROM THE ADDISON LOCATION!!!!!! PLEASE

The facility appears to be an older but well maintained property. The second floor has two steps placed in different spots which make wheeling a cart impossible without offloading and reloading it in different locations (hence four stars instead of five). The price made up for the inconvenience of the steps. The employee assisting me, Brittany, exceeded my expectations in a very positive manner! She is committed to assisting her customers, upbeat, and down to earth friendly. She was a pleasure to deal with.

I had a problem with the unit after I reserved it online because it was on the 2nd floor, the door was too narrow and that particular building had no elevator. Becca made it a smooth and easy transfer. She even gave me 3 days on the previous unit.

AMAZING customer service. First I went to Preston/Frankfurt location, which you should avoid at any costs they were really rude and I saw few homeless people inside their property just hanging out. But this Addison location was so much better and very friendly, helpful.

My sister and I are the Smith Twins who just moved to Dallas, TX from Minnesota. Moving to another state can be very scary but we felt right at home when we met Ms. Patricia. She personally would go out of her way to accommodate our needs (Ex: lending us her own tools when we had none). One time we called and got the answering machine and literally she would call us back while that message was still playing. She is so focused to give the best of service. A good place to store your items you still care about. They have gates with a code needed to go in and out for extra security. Some public storage have employees that live near the area for fast check on situations. They also offer insurance if needed.

Joann was awesome! The front office is hard to see but they do have one right behind the brown fence. The facility is clean and well lit inside, and the prices are unbeatable. I am very pleased

What a breath of fresh air....I received Superior Customer Service!!! Nowadays, it seems customer service is a lost art....but not at this location! The property manager was very kind and professional; she was knowledgeable regarding the rental process and provided a wealth of insight concerning the local area and security of the property. The grounds were neat and well kept also. After Joanns orientation to the property and the rental unit, I had no unanswered questions. I was pleasantly pleased with the service that Joann provided.

My first time buying a storage and it all went great ! They have one of the best/low prices you can find at a storage place. Very clean, well put together. Patricia is one of the first person we met there. Very nice and positive vibes. I rented a climate-controlled unit for approximately six weeks. On a recent visit to store property, we discovered the celling was leaking and water had spilled on to our stuff. I got the manager and after stepping on our property, she advised us after we expressed our concerns that we stored our stuff at our own risk and she would provide the number to the DM and insurance company. To immediately alleviate our problem, well that was up to us...she was unable or unwilling to provide any paper towels, mops, etc. She suggested we either move our stuff away from the leaking celling (our unit was full) or move it to another unit on the property. She commented more than once nothing she said would make up happy. (Some compassion would have been nice and not stepping on our property when she came to inspect the unit would have also been appreciated.) We chose neither option nor moved our belongings to another property with another company. I called the DM and left two messages, neither call has been returned.Rent at your own risk. The property manager seemed Ainconvenienced by our dissatisfaction. While I understand it may be at our own risk, I did expect to rent a unit in a building that was not in disrepair.As a final note, two days later we moved (at our expense) to another unit. I did what was asked and spoke to a young lady and advised her the unit was vacated and I needed to cancel the billing. Though I was told I would get an email confirming cancelling, I did not. Turns out she never cancelled it and I am glad I called or they would have gotten another month’s rent. Regarding the DM not returning my calls I was simply told; you arent the first to say that.This place left much to be desired. So glad we moved to another place that cares about their customers.

I cannot recommend Public Storage in Addison enough. While their storage units and yard are secure and clean, the girls who manage the facilities are top notch. I had a sudden emergency that required a lot of above and beyond customer service and TLC on their parts, and needed it more than once. They were there ready to help, looking out for me in every way. It meant so much as it was a trying time in my life and I needed all the help I could get from anyone and everyone. They did not let me down. Its not very often that you write (or read) a review for a storage facility thanking them for helping you during a family crisis...but I am doing just that. They are dependable, friendly, diligent, good people, and I hope this review brings them more business than they can handle. Without fear of being accused of stereotyping, typically storage facilities customers need to “put their stuff somewhere” because they have no other choice! This Addison location operates as if customer have choices and help this become their best choice. I’ve dealt with many members of their staff, and the current property manager, Joanne, is a professional with a lovely attitude. So if anyone has doubts as to which Storage location to choose in this area, I have no doubt that Public Storage is it.

If I could leave 500 negative stars that would be for me. I reserved my space a month ago for a move. Since then, I’ve received at least 7 emails and probably a dozen phone calls about my space. Thank all my lucky stars I didn’t show up with a moving truck as originally planned, because despite checking in ahead of time as instructed, despite 2 phone calls today confirming my move in, despite every single email specifically referring to my move in and my reservation, I arrived early to be told that not only do they not have the space I reserved, they have NO SPACES. NONE. ANY SIZE. ZERO. Oh, and my move in reservation? Turns out that was a complete fabrication. And false advertising and a deceptive trade practice. What I actually had reserved, I was told for the very first time, was the rate. Apparently no one thought maybe I needed to know during those emails, voicemails and phone conversations that in actuality they have zero spaces available. I don’t care how “nice” your staff is touted to be, if you are practicing business this way then shame on you and if I were looking for a space and reading this, all I can tell you is RUN. This is not the only storage place in town, but it definitely ranks dead last anywhere in my opinion.

I reserved my unit online and within 10 minutes got a call from Public Storage to set an appointment time. When I arrived on property, Stephanie showed me a couple of units that were available to me and explained everything from hours of operation to insurance options, and she went through every step of the paperwork I was signing. She even gave me the names of the different on-site personnel so Id know who I would be speaking to whenever I stopped in. Very professional, and the whole process took about 15 minutes.
