Mike, the expert garage door technician was extremely thoughtful keeping me apprised of his time schedule throughout the day. When he showed up, he was as pleasant in person as he was over the phone, and extremely knowledgeable and was able to repair my garage door with expertise. I said I would call around for price comparison. I quickly called back when I realized I was given a great price and made my appointment. The guys did a great job. Steve came out to evaluate my damaged garage door. It needed to be replaced but he put in a fix that would make sure it didn’t give me any problems over the weekend. Austin O. came out and replaced the door in less than an hour and a half and it runs great. He even gave me some lubrication tips to make it last longer and run quietly.

Made a phone call on 6/23/21 around 1p.m. for a repair service call. Immediately I was greeted with a pleasant reception and given an appointment for the next day. Forty minutes later I received a returned phone call from the same pleasant receptionist stating that they can have someone out the same day. I immediately thanked her and waited to here from my service person. Five minutes later I am receiving a phone call from Mike stating he was finishing up a job and to give him 2 hours and I would be his next stop. That was at 1:45 and 3:00 p.m. I am receiving another phone call stating he his in route. By 5 p.m. My door is repaired the bill is paid and I am a happy customer. The service guys Mike and Damon worked as a team, did and outstanding job, did what they needed to do and got the job done and was on there way. They were polite, and honest about what they could and could not do as well as what they recommend my next alternative needed to be. Thanks Mike and Damon for and awesome job and working a miracle for my husband and I.

Solid service. I called the day before and they gave me a window of time that they were coming the following day. Austin arrived on time and called before hand. He quickly diagnosed what was going on and fixed 2 or 3 different issues, lubed the door up and even checked the other door and lubed it, etc... Good stuff!

Austin and Tyler installed two new garage doors today at my home today. They did a fantastic job making sure everything was safely installed. They even managed to re-install the aesthetic hinges and handles from the previous doors so my doors still look like they were custom built with the house. They were friendly, polite and answered all my questions. Great job!

Installers rescheduled twice, showed up late the third time. The insulation strips they showed up with were broken (SEE PHOTOS). Not only they didnt finish the job, but they damaged what was working before them - the motor stopped functioning after the installation of the new door. Calls and emails were not returned, so we had to hire someone else to replace the motor and install the weather strips. Once it came to paying the bill however, the owner - Josh - went into denial and demanded the payment in full despite the damage to the motor and the unfinished job. He harassed the residents of the property where the doors were replaced, threatened to take off the doors (which, of course, would be illegal). We paid the invoice because we didnt want the tenants to be dragged into this. Fortunately for them this was not a major project, otherwise they would end up in court.Disorganized, unprofessional and unwilling to listen to customer complaints. One person takes the deposit for the door and someone else sends you the final bill, so if there is an issue - good luck proving it! They also insist on invoicing you by text message, which speaks to their professionalism. Shockingly bad customer service. Dont take the risk and dont waste your time.

I bought a garage door opener from Home Depot and chose the install option.The installing company was Elite and the installer was a Austin Odom. The communicaiton was great. I was scheduled for Friday installation and Austin called Thursday evening to verify everything was still a go and to see if I had any questions. He showed up on time, removed our old set up and installed the new system in no time flat. He walked me through set up and even linked the outside keypad.What was most impressive to me is that he texted me the following day to make sure everything was in working order and I was still happy. He’s young but did a good job and had great customer service.

I would give the Elite Sales team a 3 star review for insisting that I go ahead an place my order even though I had no idea when our house would be ready for installation. The Clopay Manufacturer a 2 star review for the shabby look inside of a really nice looking door from the outside. And a 4 star review to Elite Overhead Garage Doors for the installation.

Mike went above and beyond to save us from a garage disaster. He came out short notice on a holiday (day after the 4th of July) and helped get out garage closed. Then fit us in early the next morning to get it working better than new. Great service! Highly recommended

I didnt had a good experience with Elite. I have initially called Genie customer service and they suggested Elite as its close to my please. I called them on Thursday and given an appointment for technician visit for Monday as there were no appointments available. Technician was on time for the Monday appointment and came to check the door. He initially told me that the spring tension needs to be adjusted and also the sensors needs to be replaced which costs $125. When I checked online for the price of the sensors they were only $34 in Lowes. I have asked the technicians why they are costing more and he simply said thats our price and didnt care to explain. Also, replacing the sensors didnt fix the issue. So he again suggested the motor needs to be replaced. But I showed him that the motor is working fine. Finally I had to let him go as I didnt get a proper diagnosis or a solution to my problem.Later I have even tried to call their customer service to explain what has happened and tried to check if they can help me by sending someone else but they didnt bother and asked me to pay the service charge for the visit again if they had to send someone.I dont know what kind of experience other had with Elite But I personally am not satisficed with their service. I dont think they deserve to have 100% satisfaction Guarantee symbol on their website.Update - 08/17/2021 - I am Impressed with how this dissatisfaction is handled by Josh the owner of the business. Josh called me and has been patient to know what has happened and provided me with a resolution to my satisfaction. Thank You Josh for your problem resolution skills and good customer service I really appreciate it.

I must say from Start to finish Elite overhead was the way to go. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I did not know there where so many options when it came to garage doors. I also didnt know there are so many options available to me. Once it was explained to me that your garage door is the most used door in my home, as like many Americans I put more thought into my purchase, and prices where lower than expected. Even down to day of install, Austin the tech was on time, and walked me through the process. Two days after the owner Josh reached out to me to make sure I was satisfied with there product. Last year, June of 2020, I had Elite come out to service my garage door. The technician was extremely rude and on top of that installed the wrong springs on my door. The issue was rectified when I had a different company come out who ended up having to put in the correct springs. Brad was the initial technician from Elite. When he left after putting on the wrong springs, our garage door was slamming shut and was not working properly. He came back out but said everything was fine. Our garage door continued to slam to the point of where it was aggressively shaking the door track. Because of this continuing issue, we had to have a different company come out since Elite could not tell us what was wrong. I attempted to speak with the manager of Elite to see if he would cover the cost of the incorrect springs that his technician put it, but he fed me a generic answer that you would expect from a company that does incompetent work. He refused to rectify his employees failure let alone entertain the idea that his company could have made a mistake. I would never reccomend this business to anyone who needs garage door services simply for the fact that their customer service is a dumpster fire and is directly representative of the shotty work they do.

It was 4:PM Tuesday. I hit the button to open my garage door and there was a loud bang!!! One of the big springs had snapped in the middle. I called Elite. A service tech was at my house by 4:45 and my garage door was fully repaired by 6:PM. Now that was great service. Thanks Elite!

I just had 2 new garage doors and motors installed from Elite. They look, and work amazingly. We had some small confusion regarding the quote, but Elite made it right. While a perfect experience is ideal, perfection is a harsh standard to which no one will meet. It is my opinion, that how a business responds when things arent perfect, is the true measure of their worth. In this regard, they truly are ELITE. I would have no hesitation working with them again or recommending them to anyone in need of garage door service or sales.

Dont like to write bad reviews but Im fed up with these people and their attitude.When I ordered the doors I told the guy that i took the existing motors and all the hardware down because I installed new drywall on the ceiling and I asked him if they can reinstall it, he said they will take care of it. When the techs came out they started telling me there will be extra charge to reinstall the brackets and motors ($100ea) - I argued that I wasnt told that. The owner of the company came out with an attitude and rudely telling me its a common sense that putting back the brackets and motors is not part of the door installation - I guess I should know that!Then they started unpacking the doors and I noticed those are not the doors I ordered! They were gonna put them in and comeback with the correct ones which would take several weeks since they were custom. I told them if they install the motors without charging me Ill keep the doors to save them trip and money since these were custom doors and they would get stuck with them. They agreed.They installed the doors and left and I noticed stickers all over the edges of the doors - I guess removing stickers is not part of the installation either! I should mention that I tipped the techs $50 - stupid me!Couple weeks later they came out to install weatherstrips - because theydidnt have them at the time of the installation, of course! Guy used a nail gun and made cracked holes in the strips and left. I called and complained about it - they never came back to replace the damaged strips.Now year later one of the brackets that holds the motor came down off the ceiling including the motor. They came out with very same rude attitude stating they didnt install the brackets and motors and that one of the motors have been replaced by somebody else and that company should warranty it. I told them they are the ones who mounted the brackets, the other company only replaced the motor without taking the bracket down. They still refuse to take responsibility so I told the guy to leave as I was tired arguing with them.Now I better go check each bolt to make sure they hit the ceiling joist.So if you wanna save yourself from stress, frustration and damage to your property stay away from Elite Garage Doors in Buford! Very sloppy and unprofessional.

The old garage door sounded like a train was coming through the house. We contacted Elite Overhead Garage Doors and WOW! These guys truly listened to what I wanted and matched it to the perfect product. I can control my new opener from my phone, it is scheduled to close automatically so no more open garage all night and it’s so quiet. The installation was flawless and fast. They did an excellent job all the way around…sales, installation and follow up. I do not normally give reviews but this company did such a great job that I felt obligated to let others know.

I purchased two garage door motors from Home Depot and paid for the installation. In less than a week after my purchase I had an appointment with Elite Overhead to come and complete the installation. Austin showed up at the promised time, and got right to work. No more than two hours and he was done, he did a complete install on one door, and a motor replacement on the second door. He shared some knowledge of common issues that I might come across with garage door motors and how to resolved them. He also made sure both remotes where programmed and that everything was working before he left. I was extremely satisfied with his service and would recommend Elite Overhead for any installations. If I ever need any garage door services they will be who I will be calling.
