I have been with life storage for 5 years and the manager James is the absolute best!! He keeps everything clean and organized always! Is the best in customer service and is always there when you need him. He will always go out of his way to help the best he can... Absolutely the best recommended place to store your valuables!!! The Life Storage experience was excellent in every way. James, the manager, covered every base and explained each option that came up. Documentation was thorough with all details clearly recorded. This is an honest review by a tenant - not a paid review. I wish that I could give negative stars for Life Storage - Uncle Bob. Our experience storing a boat there over the last few months has been horrible. No wonder it is the only place in Mount Pleasant that has availability. The Mathias Ferry location is so poorly managed and disorganized. Somehow the mgr has misplaced the last two monthly payments and declared them late, even though my credit union has documented proof otherwise. Many times youll try to access your storage area but vehicles are parked and block you from entering or exiting, which can be very frustrating. And the worst is the lack of security. I cant count how many times weve come up to find security gate wide open and it doesnt close in the 20-30 minutes while we are there cleaning up. That is scary! Heres a photo that we took last month to show the lack of security.. Then the lack of cleaning and maintenance at the facility. Do yourself a favor. Even though it can be hard to find a storage facility in Charleston that has openings, take the time and do it. Stay away from Life Storage - Uncle Bob. Learn from our mistake!

Life Storage is great! It was a very quick process getting into the storage space, James made it very easy. Would recommend for anyone, especially Cofc college students since it’s so close to campus.

Not only was she knowledgeable and genuine with her answers; she showed compassion for my frustration and tried to provide me with a glimmer of joy in the most unexpected of places- a storage unit!Professional, patient, understanding and efficient. James and Shea are the best! I have been storing with them for almost two years. And have no plans to move my belongings out. From the first day I moved in, James and Shea have been extremely accommodating, generous, and sweet. I have always received exceptional customer service from the two of them, you couldn’t ask for any better. The building is always very clean. I highly recommend this location.

I have storage units in 3 different states and have rented units from both national brands and local guys. This facility is far and away the best. In fact, I have storage locations MUCH closer to my house that would be more convenient to my home, but I CHOOSE to stay here because of the facility and service. James runs a tight ship. The place is always clean, they always answer the phone, they always have accurate office hours, the carts are always returned to the storefront, and the bathrooms are always clean. Its easy to tell when management cares about their business and James takes pride in doing things the right way. Similarly, James support staff is great. Ragan is excellent, attentive, and responsible. I encourage you to try this Life Storage. You wont have a better experience elsewhere. A++++

We had a great experience with this storage unit. Their website is very user friendly and we were able to easily reserve a unit online and schedule a day to move in. We were called in advanced to ensure we had no questions. On move in day the paper work processes was quick and efficient. We were able to move in that day with no problem. The units are clean and well kept with 24 hour access. I would highly recommend this storage unit to any family or friends.

I had a fabulous experience renting a one-way 10-foot truck at this location. (This stands out as the best u-haul rental I have ever had). The gentleman that helped me, explained several things about the truck, I may not have realized; resulted in better gas milage (since not towing) and peace of mind locking the roll gate.They also had plastic chair/mattress covers very reasonable, and several lock choices.It was a fantastic experience. (Plus, got to hear a really wonderful MUSC children’s story! Big heart!!)

Horrible service. They never answer the phone. Automated phone service does not have many options. Once account started they dont have a mechanism to add autopay. Online options for communication and payment are non-functional. Phone payments add a ridiculous extra charge.

I often have to work in remote parts of the world where I have little to no internet access or phone signal. Upon returning from my last trip, I learned there was an issue with processing the payment on my account, freaked out, and called the store. Regan not only answered my call after store hours, but was also extremely helpful and friendly while we resolved the issues with my account. 5/5 would recommend!
