Ive been a customer of Stainback for 20 yrs, I believe they are very honest and fair, which is a good thing!

I have been going to Stainbacks for 20 years and could not be happier with their integrity, value, and professionalism. I was first introduced to them through the company I worked for because they took care of the fleet vehicles. I then began taking my personal vehicles to them as well and over the last two decades Ive referred countless friends to them who have all had nothing but great things to say as well. I am very knowledgeable about cars and simply dont have the time to work on them. I feel so lucky to have people I can trust to do the work right and at a fair price. Honest mechanics are hard to find, and these guys are the real deal! BEST IN TOWN

Jeff and his team are the best. Honest, reliable, courteous and timely. We had a 2001 vehicle that had 100,000 miles on it when we became acquainted with Jeff. We drove that vehicle until it had 240,000 miles. Jeffs guidance and automotive knowledge was instrumental helping us keep our vehicle that long. The only shop in Charlotte I can recommend.

I had a great experience with Stainbacks Auto Service. The owner is kind, trustworthy, and easy work with. After being over quoted by our dealers service department and just moving to Charlotte, I was frantic to find a quality auto shop that wouldnt rip me off. And I found it; we will be taking all of our cars here in the future!

Wow - I will be loyal to this place for as long as I live in Charlotte. I took my car to the dealer (I know, bad idea) and they quoted me $870 to fix a hose in my air conditioning and replace my rear brake pads. I thought that was outrageous, so I took my car to Jeffs at my husbands recommendation. He fixed everything in less than 24 hours and charged me $407. I couldnt believe it.On top of that, he was a super nice guy, gave me a $5 Starbucks gift card, and called me the next day to follow up and make sure everything was running well. So happy to have found someone trustworthy to take my car to!

Without a doubt, the BEST auto service I have ever had! Been to many places over the years and Jeff was honest about what was wrong and didnt charge nearly as much for the same service as I was quoted elsewhere. Women can trust this place!

Took my car to Stainbacks first thing in the morning to check fluids, look at brakes, and check engine light. First, he said he would have it done by the afternoon. Close to closing he calls saying he will need till the next day (alright not that big of a problem). Second, he calls the next day saying the car wont start at all and he has tried everything but doesnt know why (you see the issue now). I had to pay a tow truck driver to take the car to a franchised mechanic shop to try and get the car to start but they couldnt figure it out. Now, I had to pay for another tow to move the to the Toyota Dealership where God knows how much they will charge. Dealership calls me says the car may have been over revved and they have to run expensive test to pinpoint the problem. While Stainbacks seems like pleasant shop at first glance, they are far from perfect and make costly mistakes with no assistance or assurance whatsoever.

Local, trustworthy mechanics are hard to find. Stainbacks is a hidden gem in the area. Cheaper than the dealership and better quality mechanics than the chain shops.

Best shop Ive found in Charlotte. Jeff and his guys are honest, they are priced right, they care about educating you...just incredible, all around.

Finest most proffessional auto service shop I have ever experianced in my42 year s of driving. jeff davis and his staff always do quality work and never have overcharged me. they only do the work agreed upon . jeff and his staff have high moral values and Ill always take my car and truck (recommend others ) to them.

Stainbacks Auto Service is my new favorite place in Charlotte. Because in an industry thats muddied with lying and theft, its nice to find a family business that treats you with honesty and respect. They take the time to show and explain to you the problem, and while another shop was telling me I needed A, B, and C fixed, Stainback told me it was only C, and that they checked A and B and they were just fine.

Well I am glad I did. Jeff was able to give me a GREAT overview on the entire SUV but also he detected something wrong with the drive-train that would have cost me $100s maybe $1000s to repair if I would have bought it without having him look at it first. Ive been taking my cars to Stainbecks since the early 1990s. Jeff has always treated my cars as if they were his own. I have referred many friends and family members to Stainbecks, and theyve all become loyal customers.In an industry where most customers are unsure if the mechanic is truthful, and being honest in his assessment of the work needed, its nice to have a shop that you can trust.As Ive gotten older, Ive become a pretty good shade tree mechanic, and the knowledge I have now, only reconfirms Jeff, and his crew at Stainbecks, knowledge, honesty, and skill.Bottom line, if youre looking for a good honest mechanic, take your car to Stainbecks.
