Volvo Danbury and our sales person, Gregg Mendes, were excellent to work with from the initial contact, through the purchase and at the pickup. Arriving at the dealership our car was out front and ready to go. At this point Gregg really did a great job, spending several hours with us going over the functionality of the car as well as post purchase packages that were available to us. Gregg also has made himself available to us any time for questions. The best buying experience I have had in a very long time, you want a Volvo this is the dealership and salesperson to work with.

Another very positive experience with Volvo of Danbury. On Friday I discovered my tire had a slow leak. Pulled into a gas station and the mechanic said the tire was not reparable. Called Volvo to see if they could replace it the following morning (Saturday.) Bill (in service) said he couldn’t guarantee a time, but that they’d look at it sometime if I left it. It was easiest to bring it there even though they are a half hour away, because I have tire insurance through them. Brought it in early on Saturday, and Bill started the work immediately. Although it took a little time to sort it out, I was out of there in an hour and a half. Bill connected with me two or three times during that time to let me know what was going on. For me the service is first rate there. The service manager, Melanie, is also great. I always feel it is worth the trip.

I had a great experience here. I had a check engine light come on while working in the area. I think it gives any person anxiety to take your vehicle in somewhere you’re unfamiliar with. The staff were accommodating and efficient. The Service Manager, Melanie, was very friendly and explained everything in a way I understood. I will definitely be bringing my vehicle back here.

Had an issue with my windshield washers not spraying they had me in and out within just over an hour. That’s with replacing my washer pump. I have had oil changes take longer (though definitely not here!)

I wanted a specific car and mileage when I went in and talked to Chris. He found me the car at one of their sister dealerships. The car was in Danbury in 2 days. Chris also gave me great suggestions on how to get out of my lease without paying anything. I actually got money back!!!! The whole process was painless and quick. They had all paperwork done when I got there and within 45 minutes I was driving away. Chris is an exceptional sales person and wonderful to deal with. Excellent service from Volvo Cars Danbury. I had never used the valet service before for scheduled maintenance. I set the appointment on line and the dealership called me to verify my choice. They offered the valet service which I decided to try. It was seamless. They called the morning of the service to notify me that the driver was on his way. He arrived as scheduled and left a loaner car. The service was completed in a timely manner and the dealership called again to let me know the driver was on his way to my home. All services were done properly and the car was washed when returned to me. I couldn’t be happier with my service from Volvo Cars Danbury. Textbook perfect customer service!

Went to Volvo of Danbury for a repair for a safety issue, my car needed to towed. First question, are you a regular customer, told them I was not. Bill told me they are very busy, I ended waiting 1 week for by car to be repaired. I felt I was overcharged because I was not a regular. To add insult they charged my for the part and a seperate fee to program ( software) the part. I would avoid this dealer this are other that my treat you with more fairness

After test driving a 2021 XC40 and showing interest the salesman did not contact me at all even after he told me he would send me the numbers in writing over email. Only after calling him 3 days later did he send those numbers. From that point on he was very helpful, and got back to me in a timely manner. Aside from that, the process was easy and I thought their prices were fair compared to other Volvo dealers in the area. I am very happy with my purchase and overall had a good experience here.

Just spent 25k on a used Volvo for my daughter. We are in New York and my daughter and wife were going to Connecticut to pick the car up today.I asked salesman Greg for a heads-up as to when my bank check arrives as I paid for overnight delivery to him to make the process smooth for my wife and daughter since they were driving 2+ hours each way for two days in a row to complete this deal.Greg never gave me the consideration of a response of any kind though he was quick to email me previously with the sales proposal before the sale was done.I sent him an email today expressing my disappointment at the lack of response and I was glad that I had gone ahead and sent my wife and daughter to the dealership anyway using the FedEx tracking app as my guide.At best this is poor form on this dealerships part and at worst it is some sort of systemic poor communication problem there.For a dealership selling a fairly high-end brand, Im quite disappointed and would advise future customers to beware. Im hoping the car doesnt give us big problems since my trust in these people has already been challenged.Poor communication, now questioning the quality of the vehicle.And all this is on a successful sale to a willing customer that required nothing on Gregs part as I did not haggle and just simply overnighted a check!Will say some prayers on the quality of this vehicle and update this review as things unfold with it.Am in doubt about the character and quality of this dealership.Edit: 1/11/21 Added back a star for the excellent follow up by Melissa on getting my daughters plates registered and shipped up to us in N.Y. I recently picked up my first Volvo (XC90 T8) and it was easily the most pleasant car buying experience I have had to date. Heading out on vacation, day one on a trip to NC, we hit some accident debris on I84 West. Cut a rear tire and limped into VCD with the crippled Audi Q5. Bill, the service rep was kind enough to get us in and replace the tire within 30 minutes and we were on our way. He did not have to do this, but recognized the situation for what it was...strangers in need of help. If I ever decide to buy a Volvo in the future, it will be VCD to where i bring my business. I dont often write reviews online but the service at Volvo was excellent so I needed make this public. I purchased a 2018 S60 from Carlo Juliano from this dealership. Carlo has a great knowledge of the Volvo brand and can easily answer all questions. He directed us to a car within our price range and needs. Along with his knowledge, professionalism he has a great personality which is always a plus. Carlo made the whole process seemless and stress free! Last week I bought a used Toyota from this dealer and even though its not Volvo, I was taken care of as if I was buying a brand new Volvo. Chris Martin, my salesman, was amazing and made sure the car was better than it was when it was traded in before handing me the keys. He answered ALL my questions right away, walked me through the whole process even with financing and warranty to make sure I understood everything. At 8:15 AM on May 4th I called Volvo Cars Danbury and a very nice young man named Carlo Juliano answered the phone live, no phone tree, just a good old fashioned human picking up the phone.
