Great experience doing business with Apex bike shop ( Aaron ). I was interested in E-Bikes, called Aaron at Apex and he invited me to come and ride one. Aaron was very helpful and informative. I ended up buying one for my wife as well as one for myself. Aaron was very honest and informative and helpful. Highly recommend this Bike Shop.

Aaron was super nice and explained everything he was going to do to my bike. He wrote me up an itemized receipt and picked up my bike from me and dropped it back off to me at my chosen meeting location. Bike works great and he even cleaned the frame up for me. Highly recommend!

Aaron at APEX is absolutely fantastic! Went above and beyond for my daughter and fixing her bike. He provided mobile service after normal business hours... even after my daughter stood him up prior to this. The day before we arrived for Picnic Day I finally got around to renting bicycles. Aaron was great to accommodate us. He brought two bikes right to our hotel with a lock so we could just leave them there. My bike frame was a bit smaller than I am used to, but the bike rode fine. We loved getting lost all around Davis. I hadnt biked there since 1977 and boy had it changed. The only reasons for not 5 stars were no kickstands (at least there are lots of bike racks at Davis) and the price seemed at bit high. I guess we paid for last minute and big event. We would still use his place again.

I LOVE Apex. Aaron and the staff are great, and have always been great. I usually give places a few chances to earn my respect and my business, but I didnt need to do that for Apex. I was left without a bike early in the school year (2013) and Aaron got me a new bike up and running real quick, and super cheap. I tell everyone to go there!

Ordered a Kona dew from this place in 2016 after mine was stolen and finally got the check from my renters insurance company. Aaron asked for me to pay in full and said it should be here in two weeks max.Didn’t get a call for over two weeks, he wouldn’t answer the phone so I showed up and he told me that there was some delay in the shipment. Waited another week, then he told me they tried delivering the bike to his old location and when they saw it empty they closed his account with the company and he had to reopen it.I ended up waiting for two months before I told him to just give me my money back.Absolutely ridiculous and just bad customer service. Either he is just inept at running a business correctly or he’s deliberately shady with his finances. Not sure which is worse.Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

When I first moved to Davis, I took my bike in to Apex for a tune-up and new tubes/tires. I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron, the owner, and he did fantastic work. More recently, I went in again for another tune-up and to have some parts replaced (my freewheel and chain). This time, Aaron did not work directly on my bike. I found out today by a new bike ahop that the freewheel that was placed was never meant for my bike and the chain was too long, causing my gears to slip.to make matter s worse, the ahop called to charge me extra, because they had apparently undercharged me for the labor. In conclusion, Aaron is great but his staff need work.

Aaron, the owner, is knowledgable, friendly, and overall, fantastic to work with. I came in frequently when working on building up a fixie and although only ended up making 1-2 purchases, came out with plenty of good advice and suggestions.

SHADY! I bought a used tail light for $5 that cost $15 new and it didnt work. To make it worse they billed my credit card with an IPad and charged me more than $5 (I should have insisted on a receipt but have them the benefit of the doubt)If you are reading this I strongly urge you to not trust apex with your bike or your credit card information. This is a very UN-ethical practice.
