Everyone there was so helpful and knowledgeable. No judgement, just vibes. Best experience Ive had with a bike shop in town.
A volunteer cooperative that will help you fix your bike at a very low cost. They teach you about bike repair and they have a large inventory of used bikes and parts. Used bikes are also for sale, usually for $50.00. Of course, they have a complete set of bicycle tools to support all of this. On a recent Wednesday, I rebuilt my bottom bracket and rear hub - I was back on the road in a few hours.
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon with my son. Charlie was amazingly helpful in getting some cables swapped out, brakes adjusted and generally putting our 20 year old bike back in road condition. A great place to learn how to take care of your own bike....and the prices are ultra-reasonable.
This place is great. Its not the place for you if you want to have a mechanic fix your bike for you, but if you have the time and patience to do the work yourself then its the best deal in town. Also a nice place to hang out. I am also biased since I volunteer there sometimes.
Great community spirit, helpful volunteers, and plenty of used bikes and bike parts to fix just about any problem. If you dont know anything about bike repair, the volunteers are very knowledgeable and will help teach you to make repairs. Its awesome!
I am an older rider and find bicycle repair including fixing a flat intimidating. The staff were great, helped me fix the flat, then showed me how to replace brake pedals and cable. This is a wonderful service!
Helpful, friendly and you learn how to be your own bike mechanic. Great place to volunteer for the community too!
The best way you can possibly maintain your bike. Bring it by and start learning from the volunteers in the shop. Its cheap and you learn how your bike works in the process.
They are so nice and helpful. An asset in our community. Thanks
I have built 3 bikes here and have always felt welcome. They guys here know what they are talking about and have all the tools you need to tear down and build up!
DIY with cool folks. Next to nothing for a bike.
Its a great place to learn how to fix your own bike!
Great tools but they have a preference to serve white people only...
They are great! 🚴🚵👌👍
Extremely helpful volunteers at the Davis Bike Collective make repairing and rebuilding a bike. With a great balance of instructing and helping, its easy to learn both easy and difficult tasks.I was especially pleased to see that volunteers not only were very experienced, but that they also knew their own limits, and deferred to others more experienced when appropriate.
