I needed a bike basket he was the only one who offered same day instillation it was one price unlike other shops who charge for the basket + instillation. Be aware it’s a little ghetto in there but he gets the job done. He used zip ties for the basket not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to work but I mean it works fine. Double check that you are satisfied with what you asked for before you leave so that there’s no issues
One of the best bike shop in town, on god. Just got my electric bike fixed. Haters gonna say the price is inflated, but Tim gets his job done with most affordable price. Keep it up Tim!
Just took my Trek Mountain Bike in for a tune up and the Owner Tim did such an AMAZING job. Hes so fast, very knowledgeable, completely professional and has the BEST prices in town. He definitely made a lifelong customer out of me.
Mostly good, as the owner gets the job done. Only thing to beware of is that he inflates the prices, so youre likely to get overcharged for an item, fix, or installation compared other bike shops. Also, the prices are unpredictable. He makes it up on the spot.
Brought my bike that I thought was completely broken. Steering was messed up, the brakes were not useable, seat was completely gone. Really thought I was going to have to buy a new bike.Fixed in 30 min at a fantastic price. If I could give 6 stars I would. My friends and I love this place.
He did a quick double tire repair while dealing with two other customers buying bikes. Tightened and adjusted everything too Fantastic.
Quite unwelcoming but I got away what I needed with Zero customer support feel
No one picks up the phone
Amazing! amazing! I lived in Davis for several years and purchased several bikes from here and always cost cheap to fix my bikes. Now I moved to Berkeley and I have a flat tube for my electric scooter. None of the bike shops want to fix it. Then I come back for a workshop and just remember this bike shop and want a give a last try. He is willing to try to fix it and just charge not much money. I really appreciate it!
Literally the best guy!Replaced my front outer and inner tube and breaks in 15 minutes!Cost $47 which is pretty reasonable.Highly recommend
Pros: Nicely done work and usually very fast if they dont have too much workload. Prices are fair and even cheap compared to most places.Cons: Staff is all but friendly and nice. The store looks awful
I love this place. Cheap prices. Lots of bikes and parts. Knowledgeable staff. I dig that its small and family owned. Ill be back soon.
Charged me a cheap rate for the part and nothing for the 10 min it took to install it. I couldnt ask for more!
My front wheel was stolen so I first took it to the bike barn, the bike barn said it would take at least a week to replace it and would charge me at least $100. Then I took my bike downtown which they said would cost me at least $100 plus a service fee. But I ended up finding this place and I gave my bike to the man. The replacement only took him less than 10 minutes and I thought I would pay $50 but he only charged me an honest $45. The new wheel I got looked slightly used but functional, he also bolted my tire so it cant be taken out easily. Close to campus, fast, cheap, and easy.
Not good service. The mechanic was rude and charged $2 for an air refill
The back tire on my bike was slashed and I called in the last 40 minutes before closing time, and they said they could fix it. They replaced the tube AND the tire in 10 minutes for $20. Great service, time and price! Definitely going back here.
While on the UCD campus, I hit a speed bump a little to hard causing my bike to partially fall off the bike rack on my truck, resulting in a bent rear rim. A quick Google search showed T&M bike shop right across the street. After reading a few of the reviews, I decided to give them a try at the end of my work day. (4:15p) Tim had the problem with my rear wheel diagnosed in 5 seconds. He told me he could complete the repair in 20 minutes for $50 bucks all while working on the previous customers bike. Well to my surprise 20 minutes later my repair was complete! $50 out the door, no fuss no muss. Tim you rock Thanks!!!
Replaced my inner tube and tire in 20 minutes for $22. Was going to go to the Bike Barn but they would have charged me $32 and it would have taken four days. T&M Bike Shop has great service and great prices!
Really good service. My bike chain was off, and the gear switched was banned. He fix all theses problems in 10min. The initial cost was $15, but he only charge me $10. Good service with cheap price.
I am not generally in the habit of writing reviews, but this shop is awesome. Its run by one very high-octane repairman. He quoted me $20 and 25 minutes originally, but he did the repair in 20 minutes and charged me $2 only after I insisted that he let me pay him. During this time I could see that people were bringing in bikes constantly and he was fixing them just as fast. I have no idea how he makes enough money to pay his rent. I cannot rate him highly enough.
My bike had a flat tire a few weeks ago and I pushed it into this shop and it got fixed in 10 mins. I think its really good service compared to UC Davis Bike Barn which takes two weeks to fix a flat tire, during which your bike is basically confiscated. It cost me 12 bucks but I think it was worth it. I dont know if I could have saved money by going somewhere else but if you get a flat tire on campus definitely try here. Again, its much better than the Bike Barn.
Had to get my front derailer replaced and back wheel trued. And replace my pedals.Finished it in about 2-3 hours in the same day.$20 for a replacement derailer$20 for labor.$10 to true a wheel.Pedals replacement was free because I had my own pedals to replace them with.
Do not buy the used bikes here. You will find better ones online also the lights and the locks are way cheaper on Amazon. There are only two people working in the shop and the service took forever.
Very affordable pricing and he’s super quick!!
Terrible experience. They charged me 60 dollars to replace my back tire, tube and breaks and a quick tune up. The very next day, the back wheels axis broke, after the tune up, while riding on a completely flat street. When confronting the guy that works there, he refused to acknowledge that he had messed with the wheel, even when it was obvious that he had just worked on it and greased it. Then he offered to conveniently sell me a used back wheel for $50, to replace the one he had just fixed... and guaranteed the work only for seven days. Stay away.
Both of my wheels got stolen lastnight. I came here and the bike had new wheels in 20 min. Only $100 total. Highly recommended!
I got night lights and a basket for the back of my bike. The guy who helped me was very kind and installed them quickly. Thank you!
Fast work, good work and way cheaper than other options out there
Got a quick tune-up and in 15 minutes my bike was done and ready to go. It only cost me $15 and it was definitely worth it.
I had some problems with my chains and gears (part was bent preventing me from using the lower gears) I went to the bike barn and they said it would cost a minimum of $15 to repair it and a week and a half to have it ready. So I went to this bike shop and the guy fixed it in 10 minutes for only $5. That was a steal and was pretty happy with the result. The dude is pretty quiet and not too chatty, but the results made up for it
Usually its pick two of the following: quality work, quick work, or cheap work. At this place you can have all three!
In 15 min they changed my front tire and only cost 22. In bike barn it will take them 2 days to do the same thing. So amazing!!
Forget Craigslist! I have purchased three used bikes from Tim. Good used bike shop IMO. Reasonable prices and well tuned bikes. The man knows what he is doing.Buy your bike here and learn to maintain it at Bike Fourth. Or build a bike at Bike Fourth.T&M also repairs bikes. I have no experience with T&M in this department because I do my own maintenance. But I have seen him perform simple repairs at no charge and with no delay (dont expect a free repair for something complicated/time consuming).Advice for the owner: The maintenance area of the shop is unorganized IMO and would benefit from an organizational system similar to Bike Fourth (e.g., U.C. Davis Bargain Barn file cabinets to classify and store parts).
He changed my back tire in 5 minutes and it only cost 23 dollars, while it took bike barn two days to do exactly the same thing earlier this year. Great work!
Fast, good, inexpensive, convenient.
The guy is professional. He charged $10 and took only 5 minutes for a tube change, placing an essential rubber sheath between wheel and tube this time, without asking. Just go inside the University Mall.
Good service, cheap, fast and better than the bike barn. Come here.
Fast and cheap service... Cheaper than the downtown ones
Quick repair and a good price.
They fixed my flat tire in 10mins for only $10.
Didnt have product that I was looking for which you would expect it to have being a bike shop.
Great prices
