After exhausting a futile and frustrating nationwide search for a Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in lunar rock with no results, we considered ending our quest. Bought a vehicle with 50,000 miles on it and after driving home the night we bought it had a light clip broke and hanging out of position. Then fast forward having the car for 2 days I noticed a noise when turning, going up hill. Had the husband and father look this over along with a mechanic and was put on hoist to discover the sway bar link for suspension was broke. Called the dealership and said nothing could be done because their inspection sheet showed it was okay. Our mechanic said it doesnt happen over night. So all in all be careful buying from them. They didnt want to help us fix the problem....havent had car 1 week

Ken Nelson wrecked my credit score for two years. When I applied for auto financing in Dec. 2019 they ran my name through 5 different banks causing 5 hard inquiries, after I was very clear in telling the sales lady that I needed to be absolutely sure that that would not happen before I would give them the go ahead. I trusted their word, dont make the same mistake. In addition, the lady trying to push the warranty was down right abrasive with her sales tactics, totally awkward. How is it a good decision to spend $4,500 on a warranty if this is such a great truck? I really dont like leaving negative reviews, but these two issues seamed serious enough to me that I feel others should be warned.

I was sold a Jeep that smells of smoke. We had windows open for test drive so smell not too bad. Once I got home with the windows closed the smell was terrible. They didn’t change out the cabin filter and didn’t detail it to get rid of the smell. The Jeep manager never returned my calls. Would not recommend this dealership.

Took my Maxima there twice while it was under warranty to get them to change a known bad CV axle. Both times I was given a different excuse, and told that they couldnt replicate the issue (loud carrier bearing noises above 35mph and clicking when reversing with wheels turned). So, here I am on day three of trying to get this bad CV out of my car myself because its so badly stuck. Thank you Ken Nelson for refusing to honor the manufacturers warranty and screwing me over. My wife purchased her Highlander there the before this incident, but we will never be going back again.

He was very helpful via email. I finally drove 220 miles from central Iowa to Ken Nelson Auto in Dixon with an appointment to drive the truck. My wife and I recently purchased a truck at the Ken Nelson Auto Group and it was one of the best experiences we have had purchasing a vehicle. We live in Tennessee and found the truck online for a really good price with all of the features we were looking for. We called the dealership and talked to Justin Altherr. Justin, our salesman, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and was able to work with us to secure the truck. He took extra pictures of the truck both inside and out and sent to me. We flew to Chicago the next day and Justin had arranged transportation for the two hour trip from Chicago to Dixon for us, saving us from renting a car. At the dealership, Justin showed us all of the features of the truck and he had gone over and above to have the paperwork ready when we got there as well. Bought my college aged daughter a vehicle from this place because she knew and trusted one of the salesman. Shortly after the purchase we learned that the air conditioning did not work and that there was a leak and when turning it from heat to air it never changes it stays on heat!!! We contacted the dealership and the salesman Peter Powers was no help whatsoever. He was very misleading during the sale because I definitely asked if the air worked and because it was winter time when we made the purchase we didn’t get an accurate read during our test drive. Clearly not everyone can be trusted... Lesson learned. I will NEVER do business with this company again and would not recommend them.

This was a very pleasurable car buying experience. Dan Berkeley showed us a car that they just got in and it was perfect for our needs (not the one we came in to look at). The car buying process itself was very easy, no getting shuttled around from person to person. We dealt with Dan and when it was time to sign the papers, we were taken into the finance office to finish the deal. The dealership even got us a better finance rate than we had already arranged for. The staff was very knowledgeable about the car and showed us all of the features and answered all of our questions. I will not hesitate to come back to buy another car and recommend them to everyone.

And dont expect them to make things right with you. It just doesnt happen. It started out fabulous and ended really bad. Im extremely disappointed with the vehicle I got and the quality of the vehicle I got. And that the dealership did not stand behind this product. They did not do the right thing by rectifying the matter they just told me how to fix it on my own. Be forewarned, even 2019 vehicles may not have Bluetooth capability. Very disappointed.
