Pro: Recently took my vehicle to get custom rotors and pads installed. Ill update this review as the current parts start to break in. I enjoy the aspect of bringing in my own supplies. Its what makes this shop stand out versus competitors like Firestone or maybe pep boys.Con: One component that was missed was to utilize my own break fluid since i paid for the break fluid flush service. I checked it and its filled with new fluid that isnt particularly mine from the bottle i bought. The bottle i brought wasnt even opened at all. Still had factory seal. The work was done in almost 2 hrs which is pretty good, but it took a few miles for my break pedal to feel smooth since the new fluid was still trying to go through the break lines (i assume). Updates to follow.

I went for an alignment and brake flush and the service was great. I was told everything that was going to happen and what it was going to cost. After I returned to pick my car up I got every single one of my questions answered. The gentleman at the front even explained my alignment results to me. I have been going here for about 3 years now and from what I had heard this is the best brake masters location In El Paso and i certainly believe that to be true.

Had an appointment for oil change and brake inspection at 9:15. I got there a couple min early at like 9:05 in hopes I can get out of there in an hour or hour and a half at max. They didnt start on my car until practically 11 and and finished it at 11:45. I was there for well over 2.5 hours and was disappointed it took so long with an appointment. I have never had an oil change take that long with an appointment. Most of the time longest it takes is 1.5 hours but usually not even that usually in and out with an hour. As far as I can tell the oil change was fine just should not have taken that long with an appointment. Thats why I am giving it two stars.

The manager was nice and generous, the man who worked on my car scratched the tent that we just had put on. Went threw my glove department with all my personal belongings in it and left everything on the passenger side floor. Replaced the brakes and routers and they are still making noise and squeaking. The following day the check engine light came on. I am not saying that’s it’s their fault but what a coincidence that this happens not even 24 hours later.

Best customer service experience. Professional answers to my questions. I always had my doubts about going to shops like these. However this is now going to be my go to place. I was attended politely and my vehicle was serviced correctly no issues.

I take my 2003 Avalanche here all the time and it still runs like new. I can personally vouch for the employees/mechanics that work there as I have met them all and seen them work. Curtis is a great manager and has been managing mechanic shops like this for over 20 years. Not only is he a manager, but he is also not afraid to get his hands dirty and make sure your vehicle repairs and maintenance is done within a reasonable time and at a reasonable price.

Came here because I couldn’t find my wheel lock key. They ended up finding it in my tire kit but instead of charging me for the service and not telling me they were actually honest. Told me I didn’t need to get them taken off because they found the key. Businesses like this are very rare today! Great customer service

These guys are great! I was there a bit early for my appt-- so they took the car in at once and worked on it. Brakes were kaflooey, but they reset the brake dingdong and they work perfectly now...and they didnt charge me.Recommended.

I went because my brake lights were out. After only a short wait, I was told that it was only the bulbs that were out. They had already replaced them and did so at no charge. Excellent customer service as well. Will definitely go back.

Brought my 1996 Chevy Express van in to have them check the check engine light (reoccurring problem), and do the Royal Flush, oil change, change trans. filter, brake check and a few other things. Curtis was the manager on duty. Very nice and helped me get coupons or discounts. I picked it up the next day. Joshua is the manager on duty today. Check engine light was off when I left their shop. I get home 20 minutes later, and the check engine light came back on AND there was a burning smell. I brought it back. They cant figure why the check engine light came back on. The code said random misfire, but plugs are good. They think its in the fuel injection system, even though they cleaned it as part of the Royal Flush the day before. The burning smell: they are not sure; maybe they spilled one of the 5 liquids they added yesterday?? They dont know...again! If you come here, watch them! Make sure you look to see that they actually did what they were supposed to do!!!

I use to be a regular at this shop they had good prices and good service well that was before, for me. I had them replace a power steering line and they forgot to plug a connecter back for me and that was fine until my latest visit with them when they did my exhaust manifolds and they forgot to put bolts on them and my car started to leak couple months down the road. I asked to see if they can just put the bolts and they said they couldn’t do anything for me since I didn’t have warranty on the part, but the thing is they didn’t do the job right in the first place! Never coming back to brake masters ever again.

The guys were very friendly and didnt try to sell me on repairs I didnt need. They walked me through the repairs I brought my car in for, and actually pointed out some other repairs I would need to have done soon. It wasnt a sales scare but showed me the physical parts so I could see the wear down myself. They gave me reasonable quotes for parts and labor and let me decide what I wanted fixed now versus later. I will be returning for the additional repairs as needed.

I took my car there a couple months ago they fixed what needed to be fixed one thing was my a/c they said they recharged it and put some dye in it so if it went out again bring it back and they would find the leak if there was one. So the a/c went out about a week ago and I took it back they called and said they couldnt find a leak but they but more dye and recharged it again. I asked how much that would be and said nothing we didnt do anything I thought that was pretty cool because some places would have charged me for that alone I thought that was good business and great customer service I will definitely continue to take my car there and they also have good prices when they do actually do work to your car good customer service good prices and great work thank you

Went into this shop for the first time, and was greeted immediately with kindness. They took care of my brakes. No issues. My truck was already having issues before taking it in, and we have a warranty with firestone on fort bliss, they are trying to charge me an arm and a leg for the repair that is needed. I called here and it is half the price, and the gentleman was up front and honest with me when I was voicing my concerns. I will definitely be coming back here!

I have been going to this Brake masters since 2012 and I have taken multiple vehicles over to them. I have never gotten better service from anyone anywhere. They have speedy and great same day service even when I take my vehicles late in the day. I trust Curtis, Robert and all the other employees with my cars and they always give me detailed descriptions of what they did to my vehicles and how much it cost which is always very affordable. Excellent Break inspection on my F-150 at Break Masters on 08/20/18. Truck was lifted up remove all 4 tires. The mechanic reported the breaks are good all around with plenty of break pads. I was even physically shown all around how much pad material is still left. Great peace of mind.

I went to this place and told them the two issues I wanted them to look at and fix. One, a problem with the clutch shaking, and two, a squeaking noise on one wheel (breaks). My main concern was the clutch but they focused only on the brakes. I am not going to complain about the time they took because they told me upfront how long it was going to take for them to take my car in but it was too long. When they finally checked my car they called me, I was there in person, and explained to me about what was needed and what was recommended for the brakes maintenance. I asked them about the clutch and they said they had not checked the clutch yet but they were going to do it. I told them to do both, the necessary and the recommended fixes on the brakes, and asked them to check the clutch. A long time later they called me to tell me my car was ready and said the brakes had been repaired. I asked them about the clutch and they answered the mechanic drives a manual-transmission car too and he says the clutch is fine I paid the expensive brake repairs but told them that I was not sure about the clutch being fine. As soon as I got in my car the main problem was still there, the clutch was not working fine. I have been driving this car for six years, never had that problem, I know the clutch is not fine. I went back inside and told them they needed to come in the car with me and experience what the problem is. A mechanic supposedly cleaned himself up to prevent getting my car dirty, still he messed it up. I drove the car showing him how the car was shaking when releasing the clutch, he acknowledged the problem and told the front desk person (assistant manager in this case) that effectively there was something wrong with my cars clutch. Then he said, only until that moment, that he had no personnel who could take care of clutches. It seems to me that they avoided that part of my service request just because they were not able to take care of it, but they had people who could take care of the brakes so they focus only on that and ignored the other issue, my main issue. I told them I really needed to get that part fixed and they only told me to go to another of their shops and they gave me two shop options, just like that. I told them I had spent more than four hours there already with no solution and asked them to call one of those two shops to ask them to take my car in. When he had call, the two options became one, he said only one shop actually had personnel who could work with clutches. He called them but they had no chance to take my car in, I just had to take it some other day. Guess what, I am not returning any other day. I am not returning ever again.

Love this place come here for all my maintenance services on my vehicles Robert and curtis take of not just me but my mother with cancer always ask how she doing and when she goes alone is treated like family and always concerned with how she is doing. Originally went it for an alignment just to be told they needed to replace my lower control arms and it was going to cost close to $700. Took it to the Hyundai dealer and nothing was wrong. Stay away from these guys!!

Went in for FREE AC inspection and was told I had a line leaking. Would not last for the summer. Quoted 700.00 to repair. Been 2 years and AC still works good. Not like it did brand new. Still cools my truck.

After taking my vehicle into Firestone Complete Auto Care located in Fort Bliss, I requested for an brake inspection. After one hour the Auto tech notified me that my brakes in the front and rear brakes needed to be completely replaced due to inner rust and metal to metal contact. Total estimated cost: $1, 395.00. After being blown away with the estimate, I moved for a second opinion. I contacted Curtis from Brake Masters and told him what the techs at Firestone told me. He was not only blown away by the quote but told me the horror stories affiliated with the Auto shop. He was a former manager and he knew the tricks of the trade. Firestone was on base so many military members would assume this was a legit company. Curtis offered a free inspection and would notify what the estimated cost of replacing front and rear brakes. After 30 mins, Curtis contacted me with some amazing news. Not only was Firestone trying to rip me off, they were requesting services that were never needed. Front and rear brake pads needed to be replaced. No calibers or rotors needed to be replaced, as Firestone recommended.Final product: Free inspection, with new pads and brake fluid; front and rear, 50,000 mile warranty, and great customer service.....Drum roll please..........$376.00 total cost!!!!If you need brakes done and need an honest estimate with techs that are willing to help and not screw you over like Firestone Auto Care, GO WITH BRAKE MASTERS #154 located on Lee Trevino. As a female, I hate walking into any sort of mechanic. I have no clue what I’m talking about, and the majority of the time, businesses will take advantage of this, selling unnecessary services and upcharging their products. I was surprisingly treated the complete opposite at this Brake Master location! My brakes were making a noise, so I confidently went in asking for 4 new brake pads. After evaluating my vehicle, the manager informed me that I had about 40% wear in my brakes and if it were his vehicle he’d wait another 6 month. However, my caliper cover was bent and rubbing my rotator, which was making that noise. They bent it back, free of charge and sent me on my way. When my brakes are ready to be changed in 6 months, I will definitely be returning to this location!

Multiple times having issues with this place. Today was the last time I go back. After the oil was changed my A/C didnt work so they had to reprogram the CPU to get it working again which took 20 more minutes. Things happen, I understand...so I drove a quarter mile home and when I got out of my car I noticed that my front license plate was completely smashed in. The first manager I spoke to about it was completely sarcastic with me about the issue and when I told him I didnt appreciate his sarcasm he went and got his Area Manager and as they were walking back to he said to his Area Manager, I want you here before something bad happens, as if to threaten me. Nobody admitted any guilt, or took blame. The Area Manager said he will talk about respect to customers property in future meetings, but how does that fix my problem? Complete garbage vehicle and customer servicel! On top of that, my check engine light came on immediately after the oil change so I went to ORileys and the service tech asked me if I have had my oil changed recently and he said the check engine light is on because I have the wrong oil in my vehicle and my cams timing is now off because of insufficient oil pressure...Are you kidding!?!? DO NOT go to this place! They will wreck your vehicle. Beyond disappointed with this establishment!

I called first to see how much an alignment would be. Guy tells me one price, after waiting 3 hours for my car to get fixed I go to pay and they charged me $30.00 more when I asked why he said I didn’t have a coupon!! Really mother fu#%}^ ers . That’s why I called first !!! You should of told me about the coupon when I called.

They have been taking great care of my vehicles for multiple years now. Curtis and Robert are very helpful and make sure things get done properly. If something isnt fixed properly or lets say they fix the problem and it comes back after a few days they will make it right. This has happened a few times with my ford. My ford is very difficult sometimes. They have fixed up three of my cars on numerous occasions from a bmw to a SUV to a diesel truck. If there is a specialty they arent able to fix which is rare they refer me to a good shop that can. I just took my ford expedition in to get checked out before the holidays told them I was driving to the east coast and back. I wanted them to check everything out and do an oil change. They did a great job checking everything out. Fixed a few minor issues and I didnt have any problems on the 30 hour 3 day trip there or on the way back to el paso. THANKS GUYS
