Have been going to Braxton for a few years for both my road bike and our mountain bikes. He’s awesome! Fixes and preps my road bike for my triathlons and has great advice. They are really nice here and honest and super helpful!
Fabulous and helpful staff. Great location immediately off 101 at 59th. And a smart selection of bikes for all ages and all conditions. They do on-site repairs. They have set our children up with the perfect bike for their needs, even as they grow.
Very nice and helpful. I picked up some valve stems and tire sealant. I asked a bunch of questions concerning a bike Im working on at home, and I received lots of helpful answers. Thank you.
These guys are awesome, made me and my wife feel comfortable. Bought my wife a LIV Tempt 27.5 and a talon 27.5 for myself. Wish I bought my sons bike here instead of gordys, they have free lifetime adjustment and the guys here are just down to earth and friendly. Very cool people that can actually answer your questions. Will be coming back here for sure. Thanks again guys 👍
I bought a bike in Dec 2020. I have been in several times for adjustments to the bike. They are always very friendly and helpful. They answer all my questions. Best decision I made buying a Bike from the Bicycle Depot of AZ. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone
I bought a stolen brand bike here and it was defective. They fixed it even though it was out of the stolen brand warranty for free! They even aired the tires and tightened the chain up brakes, everything. Great place! I wish I could give them 6 stars.
Dylan was very knowledgeable and helpful! Great customer service on his behalf.
Awesome bike shop.will come back for all of my bike needs. Very honest, very fast pro service.
They are really great and honest people. bought a new bike. On other hand I took my old bike and told them to do the tune up for $69. Do you know how much they charged, only $15. By carrying out required job. Generally if you don’t have knowledge people like to rip you off but here you find very nice and honest people. Recommend this to others and also love to do business with them again.
I bought a Fuji mountain bike from here back in 2010 and been here several times for maintenance over the years. I stopped by yesterday to repair a leak. They fixed it on the spot. I chose a thorn-resistant inner tube. As a courtesy they also checked out the brakes, gears and lubed the moving parts as I had not used in a while. I took it on the trails this morning, it rode beautifully. I was very happy with the prompt, professional and quality service. I am glad to see they are still around, doing well, selling great specialty bikes and providing wonderful service.
I bought a bike from Bicycle depot and they did work to my old bike and I must say I was impressed with their knowledge and service. I would recommend them to anyone ! Thanks Bicycle Depot, you guys rock!!
Stopped in and was greeted promptly. Bought a bike for my daughter the same day. Great service, Great selection. I highly recommend.
Very helpful staff, friendly small business. Helped me choose and setup a new Giant Trance. Looking forward to using them for service and parts going forward.
Best actual bike shop I have been to. I am so glad it’s a bike ride away.
Friendly Staff. Comfortable place. Questionable bike builds?I expect new bikes from a bike shop to be tuned (gears go through full range and brakes have minimal disc scraping). I bought 3 bikes, ofor a young child, older child, and spouse. I was not able to really test them since I cant ride small bikes. The toddler bike with no gears was perfect and that required no tuning. The two bikes with gears were not tuned and just put together. The screw tighteners for the shift levers were not fastened to the levers in one case. The crank cogs would not shift or step due to the the bike never going through an initial tune. If they do not tune when building, they should tune once purchased or at least check the bikes before leaving their store. Just turning the crank by hand on my home bike stand instantly showed untouched adjustment screws as both screws were backed out as factory standard. This is not my first bike store purchase. I have been riding for years and one thing they all have in common when I purchase a new bike is the nike gets placed on a bike stand for initial tuning at build or before the bike leaves the store. I live too far from this store to bring them back in for an initial tuning and I shouldnt have to. I did the tuning myself on both bikes and spent my personal time. Keep in mind, this is for brand new never ridden bikes. Why even have a middle man if I have to do the initial work. Just send me a boxed bike in the mail. I understand that after riding for the first time, some additional tuning may be needed and there was, but that is not what I am talking about here. I can only review my experience with this shop for the small window I dealt with them and again I want to state that I may be the minority and typical experiences may be better. I also want to credit them for having stock of bikes. My usual bike store only had electric bikes and toddler bikes in stock due the increase in demand. We are happy with the 3 Giant/Liv bikes we bought, and have no issues with the bike manufacturer.
I visited these guys with a pre owned bike I had purchased and asked them to give it an overhaul. The guy who owns the shop was trying to tell me that it would cost me a new bike to overhaul it. I thanked him for his valuable BS and went out to buy a toolkit and fixed the bike myself. Today almost a year down the line I am glad I did not fall for their trap of trying to convince me to buy one of their reconditioned bikes !! It may be a one off situation, but I am never going to trust these blokes to fix my bike and be truthful about their costs ! they should visit the bike stores in Tempe to get a feel for truthful and honest service charges !
These guys are awesome! I bought a Giant Stance from here a while ago. Jake helped me get everything I needed for a smooth transaction. They are one of the only shops that has a good amount of inventory right now. Ive had some work done and the guys are always easy to work with. I needed to leave for a biking trip and there was a complication with the part received. One if the guys, I believe Braxton is his name, went out of his way to help me out and literally sold me the cranks off his own bike so that I wouldnt miss my trip! These guys are awesome and I will be giving them all my business for any biking needs! Great service and great people!
We bought two bikes here in August 2020. Ive put 1800 miles on my bike and my wife has put about half that on hers. The bikes have required some minor maintenance and adjustments which the guys at Bicycle Depot have always seen to quickly and with no charge. They are knowledgeable, honest and frindely. I will continue to do business here and recomend them to others.
This is the second time I have been to this bike shop. I should have remembered my experience from the first time. I went in interested in purchasing a new mountain bike, found the one I had been researching online and couldn’t even get someone to acknowledge me. There were some other customers in there and I get that, however basic common customer courtesy or acknowledgement would be nice. Something like “we’ll be right with you” or even a HI!? Nope! Gentleman up front made eye contact as well. Maybe owner/staff needs to be trained on basic customer service protocol. It’s too bad. I was really motivated for a purchase but that’s hard to do when you can’t even receive acknowledgement. I believe it is important to support local small businesses but that’s hard to do when they act as if they do not need your business. Guess I’ll order the same one online! I’ll even pay more to get it out together by someone who wants to make some money.
Excellent Shop. Just bought a bike for me here. They are very simple and honest. Thanks!
Great place. Guys were super friendly and informative. I felt comfortable here. Im a beginner and had many questions. I liked they were very helpful. Purchased my firs mountain bike today. Talon 27.5. Super stoked. Thanks guys!
Brought my 7 yo old all the way across town to get a bike. I chose them because they had decent reviews and were OPEN for another hour where as everyone else was closed. So they decided to close early today (of course they did) meanwhile I’m in the parking lot with a kid expecting a new bike because that’s where J was bring him. He then tells me we’re open tomorrow and proceeded to give me the store hours their open tomorrow. I chuckled and bit my tongue . They do very well tho because this is the second time I’ve tried to come here and purchase bikes. The time before this I waited in line for 30 minutes and wasn’t ever even acknowledged
Jake and the guys over here at the shop got my bike tuned up tiptop in no time for a great price! Absolutely awesome customer service and a great customer experience!
Brought my mountain bike in for a tune up. I expected to pay the full tune up price, however after they got into my bike they said it didnt need the full tune up and only charged $25 for the work they did. Its not often you find a business that wouldnt just take your money. I was very surprised by this and will be a life long customer to a business that takes care of its clients. I highly recommend going out of your way for this bike shops excellent service
We went to another shop prior to this shop and we got the “salesman” feel and the “tense vibe” of being busy. We walked into this shop (during the Covid case when everyone is buying bikes) they were very busy and still happily made time for us, answered questions and helped us pick out a bike. You walk into this place feeling as if it was the only neighborhood bike shop. All the guys were welcoming, respectful and treated us as if we were a regular. (This was our first visit). Purchased a 24” “Giant” bike for my sons birthday present and they had it assembled and ready for us shortly after. I forgot the guys name that was helping me out but on the receipt, it said the cashier was “Jonas”. Thanks to him and the rest of the guys, this is our go to spot!
Had been shopping for a new mountain bike this weekend. Tried other shops, but inventory was low or the salesman didnt take the time to help me find the right bike. Came across Bicycle Depot of AZ and was very impressed. The salesman took the time to help me find the right bike in my budget (Talon 3). Let me test ride a medium frame and a large frame to determine which frame size was right for me. No pressure sales. Gave myself a day to think about purchase and came back to get my bike. Even as I am ready to purchase the Talon, they took the time to answer more questions to make me feel this was THE RIGHT BIKE FOR ME. With a few extras, the lifetime warranty from the manufacturer and dealer, I felt these guys did me right. I highly recommend shopping BDof AZ for your next bike. Thanks guys and I am already enjoying my Talon.
Very pleased with the service and professionalism. Very friendly staff. I always hate being that person that comes in 30 minutes before closing time and needs some maintenance work. The guys were happy to take my wifes bike in and had it fixed in 15 minutes. Thank you for being so pleasant and helpful.
I have been in the shop a few times now, and the consistency of friendly and helpful staff is always a treat. The service is 5 star and you leave feeling well taken care of.
Good guys, just wouldnt trust a high end work on a bike here. Taking my bike to get professionally sorted at REI.
Very helpful and friendly. They went beyond what other bike shops would do for a customer.
Really great nice bunch of dudes working there! They gave us a lot of information and took care of our bikes! If you need a bike or yours repaired I highly recommend them! Thank you!
I dropped in to this shop to check the size of the Giant Talon 2 bikes as my daughter at home in Canada had one for me to buy. I had to make sure of the size of bike she was buying for me. All I wanted to do was sit on one, but the gentleman that served me said he would do better than that. He took the bike I selected out back and checked it all over to make certain I would have a positive experience. That is service that needs recognition and I give a huge thumbs up to the staff at the Bicycle Depot in Glendale, AZ. Many thanks for your superb service.
It is a busy shop but they know their stuff. We had gone to another place on 67th and Happy Valley and the service was awful. Due to their knowledge and service and great attitude we purchased two bikes on the spot.
Great service, needed repair, got it done, fast and easy tums up from yuri
Great customer service! I walked my bike to their store with a flat tire and Jonah and Ken stopped what they were doing to fix it immediately so I wouldnt have to leave it and walk home. Really appreciate your kindness!
Everyone at bicycle depot are professional and knowledgeable. You can feel comfortable spending your hard earned money here as they have great prices along with a great selection of bikes. Its nice to know you can still get great customer service during and even after the sale is complete.Thank you Jonas, Josh and Chris for being there for us noobs.
Just pre ordered a trance 3 2020 these guys are awesome. Ive been shopping around going to other Giant dealers but these guys are in my opinion the friendliest. Ive seen a couple bad reviews on here about how rude they are. Ill just say we are all human people have bad days. Employees and customers. No matter were you go. I went to about every bike shop West valley and East valley over the course of a month and a half shopping for a bike. Decided giant was a good fit and decided this was the shop to get it from. Thank you for the good customer service would recommend to others looking for a mountain bike set up or any kind of set up.
I had been looking for a mountain bike for my wife for her birthday for a few days. Originally was looking for a nice used GT, Diamondback or something along those lines but every shop was sold out. So had to look for new. Came across Bicycle Depot of AZ and they actually had a Liv Bliss 3 in a size small frame. Which was perfect because my wife is 5 2 tall and 95lbs. Although not her favorite color, went with the purchase, but before the purchase I was speaking with Braxton. He helped me out a lot before I pulled the trigger on the purchase. Seemed to have plenty of knowledge of the bike and just bikes in general. Also helped me out with adding thicker tubes and some sealant for the tubes along with a tube protector liner. We also added a different seat to the purchase cause my wife just is not comfortable with those tiny narrow seats.Overall, I was very pleased with the customer service Braxton provided and how I was treated. Shop is a little on the small side but was organized in my opinion. Organization is key to some things in my opinion. My wife and I will most definitely be back soon. I got to replace my shifters on my GT full suspension bike and maybe upgrade the brakes.I highly recommend this shop if you are out in the west valley area. Also recommend speaking with Braxton. Thank you Bicycle Depot of Az for making this a wonderful experience. We will see you soon!!
Needed a tub they were closed, help me anyway three more people came helped them also, great place.
Awesome experience. It was time for me to upgrade my mountain bike and this is where I chose to spend my hard earned money. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They had the bike in stock and I rode out the same day. Also I get free lifetime tune ups!
I bought a great bike for a beginner. They were very helpful and took the time to size the right bike and style for the type of riding I was planning on doing. I ended up choosing the Giant Sedona and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend this shop.
This is my go to LBS! The guys here really know their stuff; bikes, equipment, the trails, they know it. They always bring a smile and are out for your best interest, not to sell you. These guys sell the best bang for your buck stuff. Theyll treat you right, and youll feel much better about your money going to a local business for your totally rad bike rather than those less impressive ones at big box stores.
The service at AZ Bike Depot is fantastic. The staff are very welcoming, they explain options really well, and if anything goes wrong they go to great lengths to make it right.
Bought a Giant Talon 3 from this place about two months ago. I only rode the bike to and from school, until my brother bought a mountain bike, so we could ride together. They suggested that he buy the Talon 2, which I was told wasnt a real step up from the 3, with similar tier parts. However, the Talon 2 is tubeless. I rode the bike down the nearby trail with my brother from their shop, back to our home near 43rd and Olive. Its about an hour ride according to Google Maps, but I managed to pop both tires on my bike. I brought it back and they told me to replace the tubes with thorn resistant tubes. Its a mountain bike that cant handle paved trails. I keep this bike in my home and even had them check it over while we bought my brothers bike. They now want an extra $60, on top of the nearly $600 I spent on the bike for these new tubes. How does a mountain bike not come with resistant tubes. In total Id only be about a $100 off from the Talon 2. I would have purchased it had they recommended it based on the tires being far inferior on the Talon 3. My brothers bike has no issues thus far.The most infuriating part is the fact that the employee who helped me with my purchase was snickering in the back about having made me aware of these issues. Whether Giant is responsible for the tires or not, you go to a bike shop for a bit of assistance, because you assume the employees have knowledge about the products and would help you find the right bike.Edit: I tried to trade up to the Talon 2, paying the difference, but after 3 hours of total ride time, the bike was considered to rough to sell. I now have two puncture resistant tubes in the bike. Paid for one, but ended up getting the other after having words with the owner. Even though it wasnt easy, they did eventually provide a reasonable compromise.
Good experience, they were super helpful and knew what they were doing. I had a flat rear tire, a leaky tube, and a front break issue. They were able to fix the issues within a short amount of time, and they did it all at a good price. I would recommend them!
Knowledgeable staff and quality products. I purchased three bikes from them, all very well made with no long term issues aside from normal wear and tear. Very cool merch!
I went into the store having some serious chain issues. Jonas sold me t9.... That stuff is the best. Thank you bicycle depot!
I went in and asked if they did layaway plans, and the guy behind the counter looked at me like I was a jerk off. It’s interesting because I could’ve just bought the bike but it’s nice to find out who you’re purchasing from in your local community, and the attitudes they have towards the people that help run their business.
WORST BIKE SHOP! Took two mountain bikes to this shop and they both came back worst off than when they went in. Both bikes had to be serviced AGAIN after paying $220 dollars for services at this awful bike shop. Way overpriced! When I called them, the guy showed absolutely zero remorse for the awful work completed. One was in for a drivetrain cleaning yet components were messed up on the bike not even near the drivetrain, another for a tire replacement (that BLEW INSTANTLY) and full bike tune up (brakes squeaked first ride and had to be serviced, shifters were stuck upon return). Needless to say, I will never let these people touch a bike of mine ever again, and wish I could get my money back for the work they “completed.
Great store and friendly to the noobies. I looked at all the other bike shops in my area and bicycle depot had the best prices for what i was looking for in my price range. Chris helped me out and really made me feel at home in the shop. I would definitely suggest this place to someone who is looking to purchase a good bike.
Love this place. Talked me into a less expensive bike than I originally wanted. Really good guys. Wont go anywhere else for bicycle needs.
I bought a great mountain bike from this shop and very happy with the services. This is the third bike I purchased from them and they have low prices.
Just bought my second bike from this shop today. All around great dudes at this shop. My first purchase was a Giant Talon 3 2018 hardtail that I ended up doing a full custom build on. With that build, the guys here were super knowledgeable on all the parts and helped me with all the pros and cons, which helped narrow down my decisions. After the bike was built it was an amazing climber and was just what I wanted out of a hardtail. Fast forward to this past Sunday when I came in to put a deposit on a new 2020 Giant Trance 3 in Olive Green. The staff were super helpful, once again, and answered all my questions. Today when I picked it up, they helped me set up the suspension since this was my first full sus and told me what to look for out on the trail to help dial the suspension in all the way. I took it out to FINS today and this bike rocks! The bike was assembled well and I had no issues what-so-ever. I absolutely love this bike and had a smile ear to ear through the whole ride. Thanks again for all the help and all the advice. I would definitely recommend Bicycle Depot of AZ if you are in the market for a new GIANT bike, need service or are looking to do a custom build.
Loving my new Bike! I am primarily a runner but my doctor told me I need to start mixing in some non impact exercise to my routine to save my knees, that where Bicycle Depot came in, I went to two other bike shops and it seemed like they were just trying to get me the bike they wanted to sell me. These guys were different. Chris actually asked me questions like, where will you be riding? Is comfort important to you? ect. After we found the bike that was perfect for me the made sure I was sized and fit properly. I have had it for 3 weeks now and brought it back for a slight shifter adjustment and they did it on the spot. Highly Recommended
I am very excited after taking my bike down there and getting it fixed. They were able to address several different issues that other shops have not been able to do yet. I highly recommend you bringing your bike here.
I have been here twice and the staff is very helpful! Prices are good and they fix your bike fast. Would definitely recommend.
My experience here was typical of any bike shop Ive been in. I walked in and got the ignore treatment. Just stated aloud what I wanted and the guy grabbed the items. I paid, walked out and was not thanked for patronizing the shop.Just one more example of why I order 99% of everything I need online and only go to places like this if Im in a jam.Ill go back if I absolutely need something small that day, but would never buy a bike or spend any real money in the place.
Awesome Customer Service‼️ Will be back.
Friendly staff... very knowledgeable... being a beginner they helped me narrow down my choices that fit my interest... thanks guys!
Ive dealt with multiple shops and theyve all been good experiences but these guys were different. They did way more than was expected and chose to help me out despite their policy. Real stand up guys. Ill be coming back.
Awesome bike shop. Their people know their stuff and find the right bike for the riders needs. They also do lifetime adjustments, so my bike is always riding like new. Very satisfied.
The staff is very nice, doesnt try to upsell you, talks to you about general maintenance and upkeep.
I bought a bike at a different store online and the crank arm (the part that connects to the pedal) fell off after a week. I took it to roadrunner bikes to get repaired and the guy there told me that it would cost $120 to repair because I would need to order a whole new set of crank arms because they were broken and were unfixable. He then told me that I should just return the bike and buy one from him. So I ended up taking it to Bike Depot. Jonas told me it was just the nut was stripped. Gave me a new nut for free and my bike works perfectly now. Thanks!
Great service ! Got my bike fixed in minutes
I dont know why there is anyone complaining about the quality of the customer service.. this is a great bike shop!
Everyone is super nice and very fun to deal with, me and my friend each bought one mountain bike from them, we have not had much chance to go on trails, but ive gone once, and the bike felt stable, and they helped me find my next one. They just are a nice, small community bike shop, and would recommend them to any rider!
Great bike shop! They are super helpful and have a great selection of bikes. Theyll help you select the best bike for what youre looking for.
Knowledgeable staff reasonable prices. Husband bought his bike there in the End.
I’ve been in there looking at bikes, and they are friendly, professional and patient. Plus they sell only Giant, which is arguably the best quality to price ratio in the marketplace.
Very friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy small buisness. Chris and Josh fixed my bike way less than what other shops were charging and my bike rides perfectly and since December no problems. And the fact they acknowledge you, take the time to help you with your needs and the way you want it without charging or trying to sell everything to you is awesome. Thanx guys. I Have sent plenty people there and would send many more. Again thanx to all the Gentleman (only3) that work there.
Helpful employees. Good selection of bikes. If you purchase a bike some come with free lifetime adjustments. Make sure to check this place out.
Bought my bikes about 6 years ago. Took them in for the free checkup and they did a great job and fast. I would definitely recommend.
Great, friendly service. Went in to purchase a bike and after getting a good idea of what they had I was encouraged by the manager (Steve) to take a look at a few other stores to compare. Not only were they the cheapest (including internet prices!), they also offer lifetime tune-ups for free as long as you bring in the bike regularly. They also took off 10% for the second bike I bought and discounted the accessories/add ons. Highly recommend!
These guys were great. Very helpful and full of information. Highly recommend them
Excellent customer service & price.Electra cruiser rides great!
Not a place we choose to do business with.... service is rude
Friendly, knowledgable and helpful staff. Reasonable selection of parts and accessories.
Very professional and stood behind a failed tire with a free replacement. Impressive!
Ive been going here alot lately to get my bike just the way I want it. they are knowledgeable and friendly and the dog is fun to pet as well. ive been to just about every bike ahop in Phoenix and I must say this is one of the best. I will be coming back again and again
Excellent staff, service and pricing.
Jm going there soon, is there bmx bikes?
I have been to alot of local bike shops and I always seem to go back to this place. Friendly staff and great customer service.
Very abrasive customer service. We went in to look around and were criticized about our choices in bikes and talked down to the whole time we were there. Employee was clearly angry about big box stores. We will not return.
Great local shop!
The owner is very rude. My son bought a bike from this shop & the owner was very rude to him & I. I will never come back here.
👎
