Virgil and Rudy are very professional. This is the best Uhaul facility we have seen in Houston. Totally automated and great surveillance

I had the best experience here buying boxes for an upcoming move. Virgil was extremely helpful the first time I came in and carried some of the boxes out to my car. Then when I came in the next day to do an exchange he again carried the boxes and made the transaction as smooth and as easy as possible. Though I do not look forward to moving again, I will definitely return to this U-Haul location if/when I do!

No one knows any answers and they dont use the phone, no one is consistent in any answers. If you need someone its best to go down there. 1.5 stars for employees, 4/5 for the truck, 5 stars for the store room itself.

I rented a trailer from this location and purchased some moving supplies for a cross-country move. Every employee I encountered was friendly, helpful, and very respectful regarding the current COVID protocol. Josh (I think) went out of his way to test my new hitch and 4-pin trailer light setup on my Outback and genuinely appeared to love helping people. I highly recommend going here.

Arrived for at our rental pick-up time to be told that they forgot to notify us that our reservation location had been moved to another site half an hour away. That site was a shack in an very not ideal part of town and we were not able to return it back anywhere else. Took us an extra 2 hours to move because of this and had no help with customer service.

Virgil was a Godsend! He made the rental process smooth and hassle free! Hands down the best customer service I have had since moving to Houston. The facility is clean, good selection of vehicles and extremely easy to access. I am very pleased with this experience! Thank you Virgil for all your hard work you are an asset to this company!

This is place is extremely unprofessional and the General Manager should no be working if the customer experience will be this bad. A reservation was made online atleast a week before, just to be told that the truck is unavailable. After being told that i would get help after the line died down. The manager still did not assist me. I missed my event and lost money today dealing with U-Haul. i also spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service.

The guy that was working was not helpful at all he didnt let us pick up our truck and we reserved it online he gave us a hard time because we was black

Convenient and Affordable!Location is easy to find and clean. Customer service is something these fellas could work on. Whilst not rude, they were not dying to help either. The mission for the day was to get a truck and moving supplies; check and check! Truck was nearly brand new just over a hundred miles, very clean, full of gas, and no visible damage to report. In, out and on the road in under forty-five minutes. Had truck all-day without any hitches. Truck returned after hours and left on location with keys returned via the handy drop-box. No unexpected charges on my bill and was right in the world. Now off for beer and pizza. Cheers!

Reserved a pickup truck to help friends and family with several moves for 11 days with extended miles. Online it says you can rent using a debit card. I was very restricted on time and was running late to pickup the truck. After waiting for 10 min in line I was told they almost canceled my reservation of 3 weeks due to almost being an hour late. Then they say they need it on a credit card, not a debit card. Apparently they changed their policy where all pickups and cargo vans need a credit card to rent. So I gave him my moms credit card to hold & reserve with, and he told me I can pay with the debit card at the end of the rental. Then the card get declined because the full amount needs to be available on the card to be held. This card only had a $700 limit and the total was gonna be close to $900 for 11 days and extended miles. There was no way they were gonna let me get a truck, so I asked can i get a 10 foot box truck instead? They said I could but not for the 11 days I want to rent it for. And then I asked what about another location? They very rudely said oh no, nobody else is gonna let you rent it for 11 days especially at this time and so close (1:20pm - 3rd of the month). I needed to also haul a trailer as well. So finally I just said cancel the reservation and he rudely said its done. The whole time I was there I felt unwelcome, and like I was gonna be rushed through due to it getting busy at times. Now I had a huge inconvenience of looking for a truck elsewhere. Ended up going to Hertz a few blocks away and rented a truck for a few hundred dollars more. Pro - dont have to worry or pay for mileage. Con - More expensive and cant tow anything now. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with Uhaul being that a couple years ago I rented a pickup truck with a debit card with no problem. I also dont like that they constantly switch the pickup location to one 7 miles from your house instead of the one right down the street from you that you selected.

I would not rent from them ever again. I called to extend my rental for two days in which they agreed. the following day they demanded I bring the truck back. I complied but was still charged for the extra day remaining. I explained if I am going to be charged, at least allow me to use it and return it the next day in the morning. They refused. This was a business rental and we rent often.

They didnt even have the the truck I reserved on the website a week earlier. They didnt have any others to switch with it or even try to help me out. I basically wasted my time driving there for nothing.Granted, it was during a weekend and in December when I guess a lot of people are moving, but I did reserve a truck ahead of time because that was the only time I was able to move between my new lease starting and old one ending. They said they cant control when people return the vehicles and that the person with my truck didnt return it when they were supposed to. Even so, theres no way Im going back here.

Made an online reservation to have a hitch installed on my car and arrived at the appointment time specified. Waited 30 minutes for anyone to talk to me, then when I told them who I was, they said they didnt have a technician on-site that was capable of doing the job or the parts I needed. They sent me to another U-haul; which was also incapable of completing the task. When I finally spoke to a staff member here, she was very nice but I was still annoyed I had booked an appointment and was now being turned away because they could not complete the order.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I purchased hundreds of dollars of packing and shipping supplies from this location. Several of the boxes were defective and wouldnt fold properly. All I wanted to do was exchange four boxes for exact replacements. Even though they were unused UHaul Boxes that were clearly purchased from them, they would not let me swap them out for non-defective boxes because I didnt have a receipt. They lost a customer over an even exchange valued at less than $10. And I was going to buy more supplies too. Now I see why theyve gotten so many bad reviews.

Communication throughout this entire process was poor. I did not receive a contract until I called three separate times to request it. When I called to make changes to my order, incorrect information was given to me resulting in a $2000+ mistake that I was charged for. When trying to resolve this issue, I was never able to speak to some with the authority to assist me. I placed a dozen calls and spent more than 10 hours on hold and on the phone with U-Haul trying to resolve my issue. Service and communication has been unacceptable. I will never again use U-Haul services and will make sure none of my friends do either.

This place seems to have the exact same name of another U-Haul location which is a few blocks away. Make sure you dont go to the wrong one. This location was particularly slow.

Conveniently located in downtown Houston, this Uhaul has a huge fleet of vehicle. It wass the only one in Houston with the 20 ft truck size I needed. The workers are nice and accommodating. The car was cleaned and readied for me to pick up at 8 am! Contrary to the claim on the Uhaul website, this site has plenty of parking available for customers. I really enjoyed the experience.

I just realized i never warned others about this place. it is a vile abomination through and through. completely despicable. there is no justification for what they do to their innocent customers. i will flush this out later, but the warning needs to be posted and shame on me for not doing so much much earlier, i thought i already had.

Reserved a van a week ago and they told us at the location they had none available. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE EVER. ANYWHERE ELSE IS BETTER.

HORRIBLE customer service from Amanda Brown (the supposed manager of this location). My brother and I reserved a Uhaul online well in advance to move ACROSS town in houston. Service was horrible from the start. We walked in saying “Happy Fourth of July, and how are you” and nothing was said back to us. Not one word. Then after waiting almost 45 minutes, it was our turn in line. Ms. Brown was dry, sarcastic and on her phone with another associate (Nate) that had not relieved her on time for her shift. Even if she was upset, as customers, we had been nothing but nice and received horrible service. Amongst her texting and talking on the phone, another customer walks in behind us (she has a line of 2-3 more customers after my brother and I) and she proceeds to assist the brand new customer walking in with what he needed and even took time (this is during our transaction) to call another uhaul store and laugh and giggle with other associates. Mind you, we had already been there about and hour and fifteen minutes by then. My brothers phone dies when he goes to look for information she needed and could have had if she wasn’t dealing with own personal matters and texting during our transaction. So, we have to stop and wait for him to charge his phone. She proceeds to take the next customer (another 30-40 minutes... we’re still waiting). When she FINALLY gets to us and complete our transaction (very dry, and sarcastic) she goes to get the truck (which we were not told had to be dropped back at the specific location, or we would have gone elsewhere) and takes almost 15-20 minutes to retrieve the vehicle. Once she FINALLY pulled up, she didn’t do a proper walkthrough with us or discuss the ins and outs of mileage. Just very abrupt and rude. I’m usually a very understanding person and very cooperative because I know how dealing with multiple people at a time can be, but she was just rude and unacceptable. When finally completing everything.... no thank you, no be safe, NOTHING (probably because she was too busy texting) so I said “Damn.... Thank you” and she says “Thanks” sarcastically.HorribleHorribleH O R R I B L E!!!Stay VERY far away from this place. Be aware, they will rent away your truck if you are late for pick up.

Went in today to rent a cargo trailer and they were very busy but the young man helping us was very helpful while also trying to assist the other employees at the same time. A++

Been here for half an hour with no other customers and still cant pay and drop off... we waited in the store for 10mins then had to go find someone for service.

Fast, friendly service. My only complaint was that there was some construction going on at the facility and finding a place to park to return the truck was difficult.

You might have to wait a while. Staff is nice though and the vehicles are in good shape.

Called and made a confirmation for some equipment but when I arrived not only was the equipment already reserved for someone else but the person who helped me was an idiot.

Showed up at the UHaul with a reservation made for 9 am. When I arrived they told me the reservation was now at 11, then five minutes later I was told that they didn’t have the truck AT ALL and the closest one available was 30 miles away.

After hours rental return was the easiest process!

Had to drop off rental trailer at this location because the location on Louisiana St was closed.....at 7:30am on a Monday morning.... At least this location was close .... but the guy that came out your unhook the trailer was just meh....., but at least this location was open on Monday morning!

I had rented from this location several times in the past and never had an issue. The LAST time I used the night drop, and when I received the invoice via email there was a $25 cleaning fee. When I called them, they said there was some saw dust on the floor and refused to reverse the charge. I will never rent from this location again.
