This place is awesome. They were friendly and ready for my arrival - no surprise charges, no hiccups - I drove down from Virginia, moved in the same day after driving 11 hours, and it was smooth as glass. Aaron was friendly and helpful, and Jack the manager is a can-do guy. I rented a storage place in Virginia too, and this place is so much better, cleaner, and better maintained at half the cost. I cant say enough good things about this facility.

Excellent! The staff is what makes this place so good. A couple of weeks ago, I broke the key inside my lock. I had a spare but no way of getting the broken piece out. I went to the office and this young lady up there stopped what she was doing and fixed me up in a jiffy! Add a nice big smile and she nailed it!

Was a great place with friendly staff. The staff is still good, but their corporate masters decided to remove our 24 hour access and went up on rent. Now theyre one of the higher rates in the area, and one of the only ones thats not accessible 24/7. As soon as I can get a weekend free, Im leaving.

We tried giving Life Storage on University another chance after a really bad experience with one of their staff. We called today, said wed be by after work to rent the storage unit. The young lady said they were open to 6 p.m., which is what it says on their website and on the door. Got there a few minutes after 5 p.m. and they were closed! No sign saying theyd be back in a minute or anything like that. We ended up going to another storage place. Had to pay more, but at least that place was open and had good customer service!

We were selling our house in Madison and needed a location between our old home and where we would be building to store belongs we would not need for some time. The staff at this location was very helpful in helping us determine the right size for our contents. They also helped with supplies we needed for boxing up most of our belongings that could be in controlled storage for a period of time. Over-all, Life Storage was a huge help during this transition. Easy access, clean facility, all content kept well in the controlled unit. Great customer service.

I made a reservation online and arrived at 5:15pm (they closed at 6:00pm) to pickup my key and access my unit. The staff had already left for the evening. I called Customer Service, just to be certain (we already had a truck full of boxes).. The Customer Service rep said the staff walks the property before locking up for the night, so he called a few times to make sure they werent around. No answer.It was frustrating because we 1) scheduled a reservation in advance and 2) had a truck full to unloadAnyways. We drove half a mile up the road to Extra Space Storage and Im so glad we did. Great facility and excellent/reliable Customer Service!!

My wife and I needed to move our things from Georgia to Madison over a weekend. We came in and spoke with Joel and he was AMAZING. Life Storage had the size building(s) we needed at prices we just could not pass up. Joel started out by going over the offers they had at the time and the various security features of the location. We chose a building and Joel actually walked with us out to the unit and let us inspect it while he was there. Everything we asked he had an answer for. The area is very will lit and there is a lot of room for trucks. My wife and I had a 26 foot truck and could easily turn it around and maneuver the area... The aisle as VERY WELL LIT and the units even have their own lights inside. The ones we moved from in Georgia... I had to back the truck down to the building (there was no turning around), there were 2 or 3 lights down the aisles and no lights inside. Life Storage was amazing and will be our storage of choice in the future. He also told us about the free 1-time use of the moving van (no mileage) after you sign on. This was perfect to get things transferred to out new house. Joel, the manager, was very kind and showed interest in his customers. He waived the admin fee and gave us a discount on the locks for our buildings too. GREAT experience.

Very customer friendly place. Pricing is standard, remember you pay for what you get. If its dirt cheap, then eventually you find you run into other issues, so I didnt mind paying the cost for the safety of my items and I was able to get insurance and still it was cheaper than the place I had before which wasnt as nice or convenient. I received a special by checking out their website first which is highly recommended. I was happy to find I had more options than I originally thought once I got there, Barbara was nice enough to listen and show me both options indoor and outdoor spaces that were both nice, clean and climate controlled. What made me choose this location is they were the first ones to have exactly what I was looking for; a climate control 10x10 unit that you can drive up to and unload your items easily. Barbara and Mark are very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions, so dont be afraid to ask by giving them an idea of what you want to storage and how the space will work out for you. Also on their website you will find video diagrams of how much can be packed into the size you need. Could be you dont need as big a space as you imagine if you use the space wisely. Called the Reservation line and they offered me a 25% discount for the first six months and sent me an email verifying that price, but when I got to the store, the clerk wanted me to sign a contract that reflected the original rate, no mention of the discount. When I questioned it, he kept telling me hed been doing this for 11 years. And, if I didnt like it, I could move out any time I wanted. I was trying to rent two large units to store all of my furniture and appliances until we buy a house here. I certainly do not want to have to move all of that again in a month. And, sense I would have signed a contract agreeing to pay the higher amount, I would have no legal recourse at all. Really bad customer service and no way to back up their discounted offers.

Mark made sure we were informed and made things easy for us to get our space in a timely fashion.

I was impressed with Life storage and Brittany who was excellent at her job and was very helpful to make sure she let me know when my unit size became available. Joel the store manager and his associate Todd helped me so much when I went into the store to confirm my rentals. I received a better deal at Life Storage than others in the are, along with excellent service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

These folks are impossible to deal with. If you dont buy their in-house insurance they will tell you that the proof of homeowners insurance you provide is not sufficient. We went around in circles with Barbara. What a waste of our time. Another client who was there when we were, went through the same ordeal with the man who works there. Look elsewhere. We went with Extra Space Storage on Nance Road and April was as helpful as she could be and she didnt make us jump through hoops.
