Got my CWP and went to purchase an everyday carry firearm. I was helped with picking out the most comfortable firearm for my hand size, the smaller pistols left my pinky dangling and uncomfortable. In the end I paid more for a very comfortable SW M&P shield plus which was a perfect fit. The staff informed me of the options of conceal carry holsters, which one they personally used and why. Ended up getting an adjustable plastic holster and its very comfortable. Staff informed me I could save money on rounds by buying them at the range if I planned to shoot it, same day purchases get free range time. I shot a few hollow points and a few fmj to get a good feel. Very happy with my experience and the environment. The range that Mike runs is a very nice clean indoor range with killer A/C. I will be a returning customer!!!!

I have been to every gun store in Jacksonville. This hands down is the best gun store in Jacksonville. Its the most gun friendly store in the city. They have a nice well rounded inventory from revolvers to hunting rifles. This is not the gun store you walk into and ask for a gun and the worker gives you the gun and walk away from you without answering your questions, unlike some stores in the city. Their prices are fairly priced they have a tiny market up like every store but not marked up by 30% like some stores. They have a flexible layaway plan. I usually hang out here when I am at work until I am needed. You will easily become a on a 1st name basis with Robert, Rocky,Jim and Mike. I have never seen them try to push a sale on anyone. I have seen them take up to a hr with potential new gun owners and females who wants a gun but not sure what to get.

Great selection of firearms and ammo. Respectively priced range fee and a safe but laid back environment.

This was my first time at a range. Mike was friendly very helpful while explaining the basics. Safety supplies are available for purchase if needed and they have a wide variety of personal protection items. I will definitely visit them again soon.

Robert has always been helpful and always finds what I want. They carry all the SIG models I want and anything else. It is fair compared to some local stores. Prices reflect current market, like buying a car or a house.

Not the greatest service, dont customize, overcharged by $100 for a S&W 380 EZ and still charged a 20% restocking fee when I cancelled the order during the 3 day waiting period to pick it up. Meaning I never received it. Be sure to do the proper pricing research before shopping here or better yet stay away!!!!Huge rip off!!!!

They charged me $400 for a sccy that’s $250 everywhere else! I feel robbed! Never will I purchase from them!

Dru is always a great help for us when ever we come in. He works with us and explains everything step by step. He even plays with our boys to make sure they arent board when we come in. He is great and deserves a raise !

As a woman I was really nervous to go in a gun store by myself. I was really worried that I would be judged or not even taken seriously. Drew spent so much time with me, explained all the basics, and helped me pick out the best gun for me. I cannot thank him enough for all of his help. DON’T PURCHASE AMMO HERE. Knowledgeable staff. They have a good variety of weapons with acceptable GUN prices. Would STRONGLY suggest purchasing ammo else where, as I was charged double of what I should of paid for ammo. Paid $100 for 2 boxes of 20 rounds. Even with current events being considered, the ammo was ridiculously over priced. I should of paid better attention. There are shops around the area selling the same ammo for more reasonable prices.

This gun shop is price gouging on 9mm range ammo. I was charged almost $45 for a box. At a gun shop on Kingsley I paid $13. I call that price gouging. I will never buy ammo from them again.I changed my review because the owner very politely gave me a refund and it was explained why the difference in the price of the ammo.. This was totally my fault and misunderstanding. I will continue to utilize this shop. Thank you very much.

First time I visited. They didnt have what I was looking for, but they sure do have all kinds of other stuff. Tons if ammo in stock. Tons of firearms. Tons of supplies. I will be going back without a doubt.

Ammo shelf inventory was somewhat sparse and depleted.Weapon inventory was varied and adequate for hunting, target or self defense needs.Staff was knowlegeable, pleasant and very helpful. Store was clean.

Not much selection in long guns from what I was shown. Insisted on showing me cheaper guns even though I was interested in something more. Also noticed pricing is extremely inflated even for today. They are licensed dealers shop online pay them to receive your firearm. Its far cheaper. You would literally save hundreds of dollars as well as acquire the firearm you desire versus the one your salesmen thinks is in your budget. I walked in with 7k walked out with 7k. On a day I really wanted to make a purchase. Never count the customers money.

I bought my AR15 from here and both the products and service is top notch. Im going back to purchase my pistol. I also use the range and love it, theres a down home feel rather than a place just out to make a sale.

I have visited 4 times. Each time Ive been marginalized and shown firearms on the lower end when asking for higher end weapons. When inquiring about the weapons I liked always a condescending oh that? That cost THIS much. As a person of color I see this as an issue. I observe the service given to non people of color and I observe a difference. I have since purchased 3I in firearms from their competitors. Its 2020 every black man isnt poor or uneducated or any of the things I feel your actions labeled me as. You lost a considerable amount of business due to your bias. Treat everyone who visits your store the same. No exceptions.

I ordered a PPQ M1(paddles model ) from them they quoted a price took months to deliver pistol, I had put a deposit down, After about two months gun came in, They then changed price and added $100 to quoted price, I took pistol since I at this point was unsure if I could ge this limited run gun after thier delay, I paid $700 for a PPQ M1,, I will no longer do any business with them Gouging customers is not nice

They rarely if ever pick up the phone. Imagine driving all the way to their establishment, asking for an item only to be told they don’t have or carry it. Had you picked up your phone, I could’ve saved myself the trouble. Thanks for nothing.

Just never buy a gun from them, everything at least 20% more expensive than other store.Staff are slow and unconcern. I paid a lesson and never come back again.

Great mom and pop gun store feel. The whole staff were great, very knowledgeable. I got a great deal on a new defense weapon. There is a great selection of weapon types and selection. They have a range and the prices are on par with the other ranges in the area.

Not exactly pretty an OCD organized, but they have what you need or want. If they dont they can order it for you.

I wont buy guns or ammunition anywhere else. The people there are always welcoming and very helpful. For example I called today to check on some (somewhat) hard to find ammo for a rifle. Not only were they the only ones in town to have it. The gentleman had it already had it sitting on the counter for me when I got there without even asking him to. Plus they have an indoor gun rage and offer CWP classes. Whats not to like about it !

Update: Bought my first gun here recently. I used their layaway. The staff here is helpful and informative. The guy was very patient with me while I made up my mind which one I wanted. The price was less than other places I looked also. Id recommend them.Took my concealed class here. Very organized and informative!

Nice range! Not crowded, well run and inexpensive. They have some firearms that you can rent if you dont have one or want to try something different. Store has a good selection of firearms and ammunition. I have shopped here quite a bit. Ccw classes held every Saturday. Very happy with them.

Made several purchases at St. Nicholas. They are always helpful, quick to answer my questions... Of which I have had many and every employee I have interacted with lent a personal touch to my visit.I dont even think of going anywhere else to buy Firearms.They also offer a CCW course and a shooting range, so I you can get all your firearm needs right there.

St. Nicholas is a great local gun store. The staff is friendly, helpful and know their stuff. They will work with you on pricing and if you need to order something it is usually 2-3 days. They also have a new indoor range and the prices are very reasonable.

Brought a Glock 45,gen5 pay full amount and brought bullets and shot at the range and never receive my blue script GLOCK and it’s been 3weeks when I go up there cause my gun arrived thy couldn’t find my paper work for a while 1hr then tell me my gun did not arrived BAD BUSINESS,HIGH END,POOR SERVICE

Probably the best gun store in Jacksonville. I quit going there because another business was closer to me, but that proved to be a huge mistake. This place has some of the friendliest sales people and their prices are highly competitive. Come here if you want to be treated like you and your business means something.

I originally gave this place five stars because my first couple of visits were awesome. However after buying a rifle and visiting the range some problems have become evident.1. The owner desperately needs to purchase a phone system. The small staff has a difficult time answering the phone and giving proper attention to customers in the store. So much so it is nonstop complaining and cursing every time the phone rings.2. I ordered a rifle and Im waiting for it to come in. Its been 7 weeks and Ive only stopped by twice to check if it is come in yet. Both times the staff has been extremely short with me and annoyed that I would ask if my $900 rifle has arrived yet!3. The visit to the range was an awkward experience. The lady in the back told me the rules as per normal but when she got to the no rapid fire rule she very sternly and forcefully, in the same tone you would speak to a child in trouble, told me that if I broke the rule she would escort me out, so dont even think about it!Even with these issues, it is still my second favorite gun store.

Until today I would of and have recommended this place.Staff has always been pleasant to me and my family. But today I spoke to the own about canceling a layaway. He was so rude and disrespectful using the F word at me several time when I never was rude or cursed at him simply questioned his policy! Speaking to me in that manner while other customers were standing there in the store while I am standing there holding my infant daughter how dare he. I never once spoke to that man in a disrespectful manner. Up until today I definitely had plans to go back again as we have been in there and purchased other items in the past never again will they get a penny of my money or my familys. Its a shame because tbe staff members there are actually nice.I am sure he would not like someone to treat his wife,children, or grandchildren the was he treated me today.

I got a nice rifle through their website. They had called me as soon as it had arrived, and I enjoyed my time in the shop. Spent almost $2000, well worth it. Probably going to be my permanent shop of business.

The gentleman there are very knowledgeable of the weapons and they have great customer service! After I purchased my weapon from them I saw it online through Shooters for $70 cheaper and I showed St. Nicholas the ad when I went back in the very next day and they gave me the difference in cash! Im a happy customer.

I have to say after reading some positive reviews I was very disappointed with my experience in this gun store. I visited on a Saturday to take a look at a specific model of rifle. It came in two versions and no one had both for a side by side comparison. So I looked at the more expensive version first.The rifle was marked at $629 which I knew was way too high but within 5 minutes of back and forth it was down to $429. I almost pulled the trigger at that price but decided to stick with the plan and go look at the other version first. I explained I was going to do that and would be back later the same day or Monday. He said the $429 offer would still be good but he could not go lower because the cost to him was $330. I had no problem with that.I looked at the other version and returned to make a deal on Monday as promised, but now the same guy told me the best price was $529 and the cost to him was $440.Needless to say I went elsewhere. I am not going to deal with a place that is so dishonest. You may think you are getting a deal when they suddenly knock $50 off but the reality is their prices are way over stated to begin with. I would recommend staying away from this place.

While their selection is amazing, the staff fall well short. Both times Ive visited, the staff on duty seemed irked to assist me. That being said, my last visit will be just that.

I have gone into this place about 3 times now and there customer service is horrible. They are rude in person and on the phone. If I could rate this place a negative star I would. Ill never go back into this place. They need to be trained in customer service. Its a bunch of grumpy old men. I will let everyone one I know how they operate. Just so you know I never do reviews and think this is my first one ever thats how bad it is in there. DONT GO!!!!! Go to wild Wild West there great there.

Awesome experience! No pressure sales, you get what you want in a stripped down, bare bones, environment. Ladies, if you are in the market for a firearm and dont want the pressure of someone talking to your significant other or roommate (which, unfortunately, still happens a LOT) rather than talking to you, this is where you want to go. The owner is fair, totally non sexist, and has the lowest prices anywhere. The only down side I had was that there wasnt a lot of help with accessories, but the benefit with that was no one was pressuring me to buy things I didnt want or need. If you have done your research online and know exactly what you want, this is the place to go. They are willing to answer your questions and very helpful. The selection is awesome and they have a better variety than Shooters when it comes to used firearms. Oh, and If you are in the market for your concealed carry class, they are the ONLY place in Jax to do your fingerprints, notary, and photo, which saves you about $20 and you only have to pay the state the $70 file fee. Wish I knew that before I took my class at Shooters for $50, and still have to wait three weeks for my appointment at the Agriculture place for the prints, photo, and notary to pay another $112. I never say anything is 5 star or perfect, because I honestly believe there is always room for improvement, but this place is awesome, support your local small business with a grain of salt and a little bit of patience and youll get exactly what you came in for.

At this place i talked to the owner who was more than reasonable with his prices and actually discounted a gun another 45 dollars for a customer while I was there.
