I have been going to Midas pretty much since I was old enough to drive. Theyre always consistent, courteous, reasonable and very skilled at what they do. Have gone around the country to various stores. This location is no exception. I highly recommend their service.

Seriously one of the best places around town. Ask for Ashton when you go. The guy knows his stuff and he helped me out a lot price wise. I searched all day looking for reasonable prices and this was the the cheapest. The quality was also really good. Most mechanics are messy and forgetful, not these guys. They really do awesome work.

They use to be kinda shady, really trying to tack on extra costs you didnt ask for and coming Bout it wrong or even performing part of the work and saying well I can take this off, but I cant legally let you leave here like this and I really had a bad run with these guys about 8 years ago. I stopped going there and just did my own. Well now I have a job thats incredibly time demanding and Im on call 24/7/365 so now I need a little help and so I decided to try them out again...and Im glad I did. They took care of my problem and showed me his worry and warned me about the hazards and showed me the price and allowed me to choose and was cordial as hell. You got a customer back yall. Good job

I went in this past week and had my brakes, oil change, tires, and alignment worked on and I was surprised at how amazing the service was. The store manager Ashton took the time to explain to me all the services and their impact and did not hesitate to answer all my questions until I felt comfortable. My car had a lot to be serviced on but my estimate in completion time was accurate and swift. I am really happy with my service and will definitely come back to a store that cares about taking care of their customers needs and delivering on their promise. These guys are the best in Lake Jackson in my opinion. I had taken my vehicle to TJs,Firestone and,Kwik Kar and no one could fix my issue. Brought my car to Midas and left my car with them for 2 hours and they called me back with the exact issue with my car. Since my car has left that shop my car has been driving like a champ. I want to thank DeAndre for his knowledge and expertise. You guys forever have a customer.

Great service that was not only prompt, but professional and done correctly. I knew some of the items that were wrong already, and they did a full inspection to ensure everything is safe for my wife and kids. They made sure to show me the problems, which adds to their honesty in service. They located additional problems I was unaware of, and them showing me the issue, I knew I could trust them. Knowing vehicles, I am confident in the ability of being a full service shop. From now on, this will be the only shop I go to for all my vehicle service needs.

Needed a alignment done on my car and went to Midas here in lake Jackson. Had a great experience with Ashton who helped me get it done in an amazing timely manner. Quick mechanic services and great customer service as well. Highly recommend them.

I took my vehicle into the Lake Jackson location for a simple oil change. Not only did the location leave a piece of my vehicle hanging down, they also broke my heat shield. After taking my vehicle to a dealership to confirm damage, I reached out to Marty, the apparent “manager,” and he refused to help or take ownership of damage that they caused. He told me that he couldn’t be held responsible and it must have been existing damage. Not only did his team break an important piece of my vehicle but the “manager” had the audacity to try to point fingers at me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!

When I went in the manager was very professional and straight to the point of asking the right questions to figure out my cars problem. When he pulled my car in it didnt take long till he came back and explained to me the problems my car had. Within a few hours he had my exhaust repaired, my suspension fixed, and my car aligned. 10/10 very friendly people, efficient time management, and very very satisfied with the work done to my car.

Nice place and will find out what they do when they run into a problem with a customer. I hear its great place to go. They are great with customers. But cant wait toSee how much they care about the customers and What They Own. Will see if they really do have a beating heart. So right now I will give two stars. Ive live in the LJ area for almost 2 years and this is the ONLY place Ill take my vehicles. Their service is outstanding, their communication is superb, and when I tell you they work with you I 100% mean that. Mario worked with me these past few days and he has been nothing short of excellent. The GM Marty is also a very polite and helpful to the fullest. Im a Marine vet and they are supremely supportive of service members and veterans. 5 out of 5 for me every time Ive been there.

I had my oil changed here for the first time. The service was great and Ashton was very nice and professional. I was in and out within an hour.

Ive always been happy to use this store for small tasks (oil changes/batteries/inspections.) But I realized their mark-up when I took my car in for missing/dying while idle. My quote was hundreds of dollars higher than expected so I took my car elsewhere. The Midas guys were nice & willing to work with me-theyd knock $200 off, but offer was only good for that afternoon. I understand theyve got to make money but I wound up finding another chain who would do the work for over $400 less.

I took my car in for an alignment. I was told a strut was blown. There was no noise from this tire. The next day I drive it and it is metal on metal bouncing and scrapping. I try to lift the car and the spring is just in there not attached to frame anymore.I thought I was being reasonable. I didnt ask for damages. I didnt ask for a full refund. All I wanted was the difference from the 5 year alignment plan reduced to the cost of one alignment as I was not coming back ever.All they did was call me back and blame the car. I cant see how a strut snaps like that in a day after worked on and if it was already like that more should have been said about it.I did not drive it to them but I was the last and next after to drive it and the noise after was radiating inside the car.Please never go to this midas and based on my email being responded by the midas I had a problem at maybe dont use midas at all.And you blindly without reading this respond telling me to fill out the same form I already did and was met with the store calling me with no fix.What is the point of asking for the form if it was already done and you guys did nothing?Company truly doesnt careFinal Update: I had to change my belt today that completely came off without warning of anything wrong, and the evidence I found was very telling as to why this midas is a bad place to go.We replaced the driver side front strut as it was falling off after alignment, and the mechanic wee used, as I was uncomfortable with dealing with a free moving spring, told us that the passenger side was also damaged and needed replacing soon. We did not yet replace it but in taking off the tire today I see where they screwed it up.People always use pry bars to get everything back into place, but you are supposed to use frame pieces or strong parts to pry from and even if you were to use the strut to pry from only in a down or upward motion not side to side. instead the pry marks that cannot be covered up show what they did. They used the struts to pry with and on the passenger side right on the belt for leverage.This in turn messed up the inside of the strut and explains how the inner bolt on the driver side was no longer attached. They put enough force to break that bolt free. and on the passenger side broke the strut and nicked the belt causing it to randomly snap without warning.I do not think they do this with malicious intent based on evidence. If done with intent they would have know of the markings and there are more covered ways to break parts without notice of how.This is just due to really bad mechanics they hire for low pay and low training.That aside customer service should be better than it was as I did not ask for much if you read the full review I was not unreasonable.Key note NEVER GO HERE

They were very prompt in assisting me and asking me what i needed. Cali, the manager was very professional in approaching me, I was very stressed out about my car but he made sure everything was taken cared of. Everything worked for me and he even helped me with getting a good deal since my budget was pretty tight. Car was fixed and at a reasonable deal, and i was very happy about the outcome. I highly recommend Midas Auto Repair. Aside from the quality of services, people are very approachable and friendly. :)

I went into Midas yesterday with a check brake and antiskid light warning light on my Infiniti Q 40. After thoroughly researching the electronic diagnostics, they recommended topping off the brake fluid. Since I hadn’t changed the major fluids in80,000 miles, I asked for a brake flush and coolant flush. I was impressed that they didn’t try to upsell me, car runs great now and I shouldn’t have any problem passing the annual state inspection. Very pleased.

Hello, Im new to the area my name is jessie and my check engine light came on and i called Midas in Lake Jackson and i spoke with a manager named Ashton he got me in and took real good care of me and with the covid-19 and my fresh move he waived my Diagnostics fee and i was really happy about that and they gave me a discount on my oil change supper nice i really appreciate that!!! my alignment was off and they where able to fix it and make it right and they have a really good deal with brakes and how many ways I can pay I like that in a shop really good way to be they showed me my old parts from the diagnostics and i needed a new map sensor and gave me a fair price i do need suspension work but dont have the funds to do that at this visit but Ashton took really good care of me and i will be back! what a good way to show great customer service !!! i will be back thanks Mr. Ashton--- P.S. Sitting at McDonalds drive through next door to them. Called to see how long of wait time for inspection. I was told it was very quick. 2 minutes later, we pulled up. My husband went inside and was told the machine was down. He told them I JUST called. The only response was, Well, who did you talk to? Really? Who JUST answered the phone? Theres only 2 or 3 employees there and zero customers. No, Im sorry someone gave you wrong information just now. So we went to Jiffy Lube and it was fast and courteous.

First time here after driving for months. We knew we needed things done but didnt realize the extent of it. I tell you what it is very refreshing to have a professional look at something and not try and rip you off, which we were scared about we arent any more I tell you what if you want some where to go and someone walk you through the process before even starting and go over financing options to help you through it this is the place to go. The nicest people all around and it is hard to find decent human beings. This will be our shop to go to and they are nation wide which is good because so are we lol.

Came in one week for an alignment and the following for new tires and an oil change. Professional staff with up front pricing and timely service. Lobby is the only negative, the chairs appear to be picked up from outside a frat house.

We’ve taken my boyfriends work truck in for regular checkups and oil changes and they always take care of us. If anything is off they walk you down through some suggestions to keep your vehicle running good. The staff is nice and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend this place

Great, friendly service. I went in the morning this time for an oil change & inspection. I was in & out in 1 hour. Lobby desperately needs deep cleaning.

I wasnt getting any heat in my truck. After going to three different shops, and being told three different problems/prices, I took a family members advice and went to Midas. Who knew they did A/C and Heating? Spoke with Marty and within about 20 minutes the problem was properly diagnosed and I had a fair estimate.After being told by other shops it was everything from my a/c compressor (really?), my condenser (also really?), and needing a new heater core (plausible), by a third shop, Marty and his team found out it was just the blend door sticking. After being quoted anywhere from $500-$1200 by 3 other shops, I was in and out in an hour for about 100 bucks.I dont know if those other shops just couldnt figure it out and decided to price something expensive, or they knew exactly what it was and just wanted to gouge me. Doesnt matter, Ill be taking my truck to Midas from now on.

Can in today to the lake Jackson Midas I met a young man named CALI! Came in for me free break inspection and CALI gave me my price for parts and labor and I was very pleased and my brakes feel like brand new I feel safe and know I can trust Madis with my truck and my kids cars the team of managers Marty & CALI make a good team got me in and out! My husband and I went to Midas New Years Eve. Not only were they very extensive in their vehicle check up, they were very friendly and knowledgeable. Kevin P. was extremely helpful and knew more about our new vehicle than we did! We will never go anywhere else for an oil change.

First off, there is not a negative star. Mid December, I had brakes and rotors replaced. Beginning of March, the rotor was not tightened enough and blow a hole in my rim and started to on spare tire rim. The manager is blowing us off and Coporate does nothing. Midas is the worst for business in general. I hope you sleep good at night knowing you screwed us and are not making it right. Glad I got a new rim because Midas wont honor their work! Ill leave adjectives out.

This store has Excellent customer service and wait time. I went for regular maintenance but also ended up getting a few other things done as well. I was SUPER satisfied. I also just found out that Midas sells tires at a very reasonable price. I will be coming back as soon as I need a new set and will definitely be coming back for all of my regular maintenance as well. I HIGHLY recommend using Midas for all of your vehicle needs.

We took my wifes truck to replace the catalytic converters. The staff was very professional, very knowledgable and fast at getting paperwork taken care of. Truck was ready when they said it would be. The quote was much more reasonable than dealership. When we picked up the truck we took my daughters car in for an alignment. Again very helpful and fast. These guys did a great job overall. I hope i dont need any automotive services soon but if i do, i will be going back to Midas.

I Visited this location and I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and the professionalism of the staff. WOW!!!!! All I can say is WOW these guys are great Ive had an issue with my truck for almost a year that no one could figure out its been to 2 dealerships and 2 shops and they couldnt tell me what was wrong.in 25 minutes they had it figured out and fixed . I had already paid a total of $1000 to attempt to diagnose the issue at other shops to no avail .Kevin, Marty and the whole Midas crew are fantastic I highly recommend them if i could give them 10 stars I would

Very quick with diagnosis of my car. But they said it would get done in a “couple of hours”. Well almost a day later it wasnt done. I had to call to check up on the status of it twice rather than them call and let me know they couldn’t finish it in time. I would have appreciated them having the courtesy to call and keep me updated.

I have always had such a great experience, they have always attended in a timely manner with respect, as well as took their tune to explain the issues and why something needed to be done. The team at Midas provided a pleasant experience. I was able to schedule my appointment online and have it confirmed by an employee once they opened that morning. They were quick to diagnose my trouble and were able to fix it the same day. I was happy to get a couple additional issues fixed through them at the same time. If needed, I will be using Midas again.

I went to take my car to get my oil change. As they checked the air filter, they showed me the cabin air filter that was full of leaves and debri. It did need a replacement which I told them I would replace it myself. What surprised me was when I went to replace the filter, the old filter still had all the loose leaves and debris. All it would have taken was for them to shake it off. If Id known they were going to just put it right back without even shaken it off, I would have done it myself before they put it back on. By all means I would not want additional charge for them to simply give a few shakes. Not only that I was missing the screw that should have been part of the glove compartment. It took 3 hours for them to change my oil when they told me it would about hour and a half. The people were a little more friendlier than before, but the quality of service is very negligible.

My visit today was very smooth with the help of Kevin. The service was very good highly recommended. Thank ya so much.

Been waiting over an hour for a simple oil change....heard the lube tech tell another customer that he was the only lube tech...yet i see him working on a brake job rather than getting started on my car....and its not very busy here at all....took 45 mins to pull my car in and get it on the lift just to let it sit there so i couldnt leave....very clever tactic...i should have left after the fist 30 minutes passed.....i Will NOT be coming back again ...

I recently brought my car in for new brakes and an oil change. Anthony the manager was so helpful and knowledgeable. Anthony took the time to answer all of my questions. He gets right to the point, which I greatly appreciate. My daily schedule is extremely busy, therefore I was so impressed by the service and timely manner of the crew that serviced my car. I finally found the right place in Lake Jackson for all my repairs.

Told me my ac would be repaired by the end of the day, it was not. I was told my cooling fans needed to be replaced for$45-$190 each, and it was just a fuse. They had my car three days to fix the ac, and even then I had to get mean that afternoon because no one was updating me. I had an emergency 1000 miles away back home while taking care of my sick mother and had to wait on them. To top it off, I was told because they pulled up the license plate and the info was wrong about my engine I saved almost $900...the bill was already $1400!?!?! I was supposed to be grateful Im assuming. The only guy I saw either Time I went in was pretty much the only one answering phones as well. He seemed friendly but very sure of himself, unjustly. All the same, my ac blows cold and still works after a 2-day drive from south Texas to Indianapolis. However, if given the option, I will never use Midas again. Go to firestone.

I have a Porsche Cayenne and they really know how to cater to exotic vehicles. Brought my car in for a break change, routine oil maintenance and changing out all of the filters. Unbeatable pricing and impeccable customer service. Will never go anywhere else.

Ive gone to Midas across the country for their unbeatable nationwide warranty. Theyre typically expensive, but if the same repair ever comes up again, its totally worth it. Theyre always cheaper than the dealership, and offer higher quality parts. They take you in to show you the repairs, so you can be sure you know what youre getting. This branch is slow to get things done, but honest enough to tell you if they cant get it done today.

The staff is very friendly. The place is clean and they even have a coffee station for clients. If you are on a budget, be wary. Ask questions! Tell them what you are in there for and get a quote for the complete service, including taxes. For example, if you are in there for an oil change, ask for the price of the oil change and ask about the cost of the fee to dispose it. They inspect your vehicle and will try to offer you more services or get you to buy more things from them. They charge you for everything they do. They quoted me $35 to change my air filter and even offered a $5 discount if I did it at that moment. I declined the offer and, instead, bought a filter elsewhere, for $17, and replaced it myself. (FYI, replacing an air filter is really easy. If you want to save some money, do it yourself.) Overall, their service is great but they up price everything. Be wary if you are on a budget.

My husband has an older Acura that needs a little TLC. He brought it initially because his breaks were absolutely terrible and he needed an inspection. The fellas at Midas we’re awesome. We are not car people but the manager took the time to explain everything they were checking on the car. We got our car repaired in no time and we on our way on a Saturday. We had been dreading this for weeks and were so pleased with our experience.We really believed in people running good businesses and this is definitely the case here!

My son had his truck serviced here and was very happy with his alignment. He also had a problem with his a/c system that no other repair shop could figure out, but they found the problem and gave him a great price for the repair. Now I a am having my vehicle serviced at the Midas in Victoria tx. They do a great job too !

I want to THANK Midas in Lake Jackson for their help! I brought my vehicle for a oil change and while doing it they saw that the the brake caliper was leaking and explained how the system worked and what needed to be done to fix the problem. I couldnt afford to do the work until my next payday(13 days away) and the managers Kevin and Marty went out of their way to apply coupons to reduce the cost as much as possible and then found financing with the Midas care card (WITH NO INTEREST FOR 12 months)I coudnt have done it without their help.

Called the shop at 2:15pm and asked what the wait was for an oil change..20 min wait, 30 min to chant the oil... I was 15 min away & he said hed put me on the list. Showed up 15 min later, took my info & keys & I walked to the mall. Came back a8bout 1.5 hes later, still in parking lot. Walked to Target, came back about 1 hr later. AC was broken in waiting area so after about 20min I went outside.. been there about 3.5hrs at this point. Guy working front says we went to school together, small talk here & there (he knows Im still waiting).. Finally about 4hrs since I arrived he pulls my car out and says dont worry about it, Id been waiting way too long. Id gotten a $20 oil change so I leave & finish my other errands, realize the oil light is still on & my old oil change sticker is still up on my way home couple hours later. Just checked the oil... filthy! I never go over 3000 mi between changes except I just spent 6wks driving from TX to CA, OR, UT, NV, CO & my oil was way past due though I topped it off about 1500mi back. Why??? What was the point of not doing the oil change? I was incredibly patient, never asked what was up with the wait. Instead of complaining I walked to my errands at the mall & Target & carried heavy bags back on foot to save time while I waited. Ill call in the AM but what difference will it make? Pathetic excuses for men. Check your oil if you use this dump.
