This tow service tried to keep my car. The lady behind the counter kept my key even though I paid the tow fees. She didnt want to give me my key back. Luckily I had a second key to drive my car home. Do not do business with these scammers!

The gentleman who came was very nice and he parked my car for me since I wasnt able to. He was also quite punctual and got there 15 minutes earlier than expected. Thats a lot to say for a busy towing company! Ill def use them again if I need to!!!

Ive used Northside many times. They have been prompt and courteous. There are other companies here in town. Im not knocking them but Northside is the one Ive used the most. Ive never had a problem with them. Once they even saved me from a tow.

Great service. Kind driver. Estimated wait time was an hour, driver arrived within 45 minutes. I called other local places and wait time was 1.5-2 hours. The driver was kind, professional and quick. He made sure I knew what to expect with an after-hours drop-off. I hope to never need their service again, but I would recommend Northside Service to anyone in the Lansing area.

I needed my car towed from my workplace and AAA connected me with Northside Towing. The tow truck driver, Brian, arrived quickly (within 25mins), was incredibly efficient and professional. He even called when dropping it off at my mechanic to ensure he was leaving it at the correct place. I really appreciate the service and would hope to work with Northside again should I need another tow.

The driver bent my right innerside rod which made my stirring wheel tilted to the left and off. My mechanic showed me the damage.

I don’t think five stars does justice for the service they provided. Came out in the middle of night to rescue me and several other people from severe floods when no one else would assist, neither insurance nor police. Andre was amazing. Give that man a raise!!!

This company was a referral worst mistake ever!!! Dale unprofessional and clueless when I comes to customer service. I was very specific of where we needed the sprinter placed they put in the alley, when we asked for them to park in the correct location the driver was rude and pushed half in the street and half out. When we called Dale to ask as we were watching on the camera to have them parallel park the vehicle it was over his level of understanding because he told the dispatch driver he doesnt know what we are asking for. Definitely wouldnt recommend for any type of service . Really need to hire competent customer service and drivers.

Got a tow from them a few times, some times were better than others, I guess it just depends on who you get towing you that day

You cant go wrong with a fleet truck repair service contract with this company! Got pulled over this morning still dark by the state police for having license plate light out. Told MI State Trooper I would go to our repair shop and get the bulb replacedcoming back into Lansing this afternoon. More than just a bulb replacement whole corroded socket fell apart once mechanic tried to replace bulb. North Side took good care of my truck brand new license plate light installed in about 45 min with proper wiring and testing to my satisfaction. Working smarter not harder to make our trucks safe and legal to drive!!!

Just general disdain. They drive by my house (35mph) doing easily 50. Today one blew through a stop sign in a small neighborhood and almost smoked me.

Driver was super friendly and efficient!I was stuck in a vacant parking lot near down town and he was able to find me with my impromptu directions and got my car back to my house near the Airport safely and quickly !I forgot his name so I hope the description helps him get the recognition he deserves.Thanks for the great service !-Dom

James called ahead to make sure he had my location down correctly. He was friendly and polite and assured me he would be there as quickly as possible. I was in a time crunch to get to the tire shop before they closed, and he did everything possible to get me there in time! He worked hard to be efficient and careful with my BMW. Couldn’t recommend Northside Service on 226 Russell St. more. Especially James as a driver. Outstanding!

North side towing was great thanks alot

Well my experience at Northside Service was unpleasant and I would never refer them to anyone . I waited three days to get in for service for two code that I got on my truck (1) Nox sensor and (2) faulty number (6) injector. After being there I stand up in the waiting area turn my back to the two men that worked behind the glass and I heard one asking the other who is he and what is he waiting for. I assumed that his question was answered but not by me. After being there waiting the service manager came out to me and advised me that they did a diagnostic on my truck and they only came up with (1) code but I was more than sure that I had the two codes on the truck because I did a service call and the same person that worked on the truck at the shop is the person that came out on the service call. When they told me that the job was done I knew that something was off. Anyway I paid my bill and drove out down the highway heading to my pickup the check engine light came on again I ran a check only to find out that I am still with a bad injection and the Nox sensor was a aftermarket one not from Cummings boy I was duped. I tried not to give them a star but I am unable to post.

Great company in Lansing . But on that day to busy to help within allotted time it was needed. Understanding it was busy that day. The staff answering was cordial and I would expect I will call again for service when needed. They are a Great company with a great staff.

Ive had a bad experience with a vehicle repair once. Otherwise a really top notch company. The tow truck drivers are excellent at what they do. Northside should be and is the go to company for towing in the greater Lansing area.

This company and its employees are fantastic. My battery died they drove out to were I was stranded and tried to replace it. The person said he didnt have the right type to replace it, but he would jump me, I could drive home then they would send out someone to replace it at my home. They drove out and discovered I had a weird battery with the terminals reversed - they didnt carry that. But they said they would help me. They called up Kia and found the right type and made a third trip to my house after getting the correct battery from Kia. They didnt charge me for the extra trips - they just wanted to help.Thank you for the fantastic service!!!

Disorganized poorly ran. My truck was lost for a weekend while it was sitting at the lot. Personally handed my keys to a manager. Keys were lost for 2 additional days while they were sitting on the counter with a note attached. Save yourself the headaches.

Saturday afternoon our Company semi truck needed a jump after sitting for 2 weeks due to Covid. We request service and asked about the price. Dispatcher said $100 call our fee and $56 dollar half hour min. Sounded fair and we asked them to come out. 2 hours later their service vehicle showed up and in 6-7 minutes jump started our truck. Everything was good and fair until the dispatcher and driver tried to add $50-60 bucks extra. Asked what that was for and said weekend fee. We didn’t agree nor were told about the extra fee when requesting service. Dispatcher threatened never to service our company again if we didn’t pay. Not cool to try come up on people when everyone is barely making it during this crisis. Wouldn’t recommend.

My insurance had Northside Towing come out to help me jumpstart my car after a dead battery, and I’m extremely happy with the service I received. Their ETA was 60 minutes, but they arrived in about 20. He hooked up to my battery and got my car started in about 30 seconds. Very quick and professional service, and I’ll definitely contact them again if I ever need help with my car in the future.

Locked my keys in my car with it running, rushing to get to work. My brother referred Northside. Called. Dispatcher said itll be 30-45 minutes. An hour goes by, I call again. This dispatcher says the truck has been dispatched. ANOTHER HOUR AND A HALF GOES BY...(I only waited so long this time to call bc i figured there HAD to be some sort of emergency)! Called again and they say they never received a call from my number. Someone will be out in 30 minutes. By this point, I had to get a point at work and no pay 😡 Someone finally arrived after waiting another 30 minutes. I showed him my phone as proof that I had called with a call duration numerous times. His boss says discount her $10 😡😡😡 I do not recommend Northside.

Only took about 30 minutes for them to arrive and get my car after hitting a deer on the freeway. Kendall was awesome, he was quick and compassionate. Even picked up some of the bits of my car he noticed laying around. Dropped it where I wanted and the price was fair. Very happy with them.

I needed a long distance tow to Detroit on a Saturday evening. I connected with Northside Towing through my car insurance company’s roadside assistance. I was NOT looking forward to an hour ride with a guy I didn’t know, but the driver, Rick, was professional and pleasant. Their price was reasonable. I hope I never need them again...ever. But if I did, I’d gladly do business again.

Was told they would be at my location for a pick up within an hour. Hour ten minutes later was told it would be a half hour more. When I asked if there was a delay, was told there were 23 people ahead of me and that I had said I was not in a rush when I had said no such thing. If you schedule these guys you had better be ready to wait a long time no matter what they tell you on the phone .

I got stuck on side of the road tonight about 11pm in Lansing. I had a relative go online to find & call a wrecker & send them out to me. Northside Service (we called the Lansing location #) showed up quickly, within 10 -15 minutes. The (young, under 38 yr. old) guy was friendly, got my truck loaded up right away, & he drove me home. He was quick to come get me & unloaded my truck in my parking area. I had no problem at all, it all went quick & easy, and reasonably priced. I WOULD REFER THIS GUY TO OTHERS; he was very polite. Nice guy. I will put Northside phone number in my glovebox... just in case. April 2016

Honest, reasonable rates for service. Understand when you just want to get your 12 year old vehicle back on the road, but safely. Honda dealer wanted $1200 for air conditioning fix. They did it for $169 including oil change.Explain service in language you can understand. Stand behind their work.

We are from Arkansas and broke down in Lansing . We had to be towed to Liskeys repair shop. Now remind you we also had a camper behind the truck and they told me it would be 45 minutes away. The driver was there in 20 minutes and got me off the off the road. We were at 127 and 496 . I for got the drivers name WM . He was very nice and good at his job. Ordered a tow through AAA, they were super busy and couldnt get to me for 2 hours. Shane my driver called me 20 mins before showing up and once he got here quickly and safely got my vehicle on the bed. My vehicle was little lower to the ground and he used boards so my bumper didnt scrape the ground when pulling it up on the bed. Thank you shane for the great customer service. Will work with Shane again in the future

We are in state of emergency. I asked if there is anyway I can wait until Thursday to get my car. they said not there problem. Car was my brothers he cant get the car so he sold to me. Now I cant get it in my name due to sos closed . Owner says not his problem. He hung up on me. Very rude owner. How can someone be so thoughtless knowing the conditions outside. That spells money hungry .

My rack and pinion broke which resulted in my wheels being unable to move, therefore I had to have it towed. In the midst of getting my truck up on their truck the tow driver turned my wheel excessively resulting in the breaking of my clock spring. I spoke with Randy the manager, he informed me the repair shop did it. confirmed they did not, now hes blaming me, after his driver admitted to turning my wheel. Now I am left with none of the functions on my steering wheel working. So no cruise control, volume control, or even my horn. Save yourself the trouble
