Had high hopes for this place after reading positive reviews here. I worked with salesman Bob who was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We were negotiating price on a car, and Bob said he could do $500 off advertised price. I then offered $300 less than that. Bob presented my offer to the owner, brought the owner back into his office where I was sitting. The owner states that the best he can do is the same as advertised price(!). When I informed him his salesman had already offered me a lower price, he snapped and said “I don’t care what he said, it’s my car!” I don’t know how he is still in business with an unwillingness to negotiate, snarky attitude, and disrespect toward employees. The only reason I’m giving two stars is for Bob who tried his best to give me a good buying experience. I expect the owner will reply to this denying what happened, but I assure to whomever reads this, it’s 100% true.

My wife bought a car from Bob at 4th street maybe in 2013 and went smoothly. My wife and I both went back and got cars in the last 2-3 weeks from Bob, and he was helpful and easy going not pushy. We also dealt with Richard who was nice and they changed out the brakes on our cars no problem. They have good inventory and are flexible and willing to work with people.

My step dad is a diabetic we drove 90 miles round trip there and the sales person agreed to make a deal told us to come back today but after my dad got out of dialysis the girl another 90 miles to make sure that the deal was going to go through and they told us theyre not interested they refuse to reimburse for the 180 MI round trips poor business businessmanship for customer service and poor salesmanship I used to work for a buy here pay here and it dont matter as long as the person pays their bill you guys dont care about nobody but yourselves so get off of Google cuz your business is no good

I’ve recently been in the market looking to get out of my t100 that I’ve been driving for the past few years and upgrade to a 05-06 tundra. I had been searching around and found some decent deals for lower mileage trucks but they’re all down south. I was searching Facebook marketplace, and then one popped up right across the river from me at 4th street auto. I messaged them on Facebook about it and was on my way to go check it out. I called ahead so they knew I was a serious buyer with a cash in hand. Upon arrival I saw the truck parked all the way in the back, immediately noticed it was 10x more rough than the pictures made it out to be, when I tried voicing my concerns about the price to the salesman he kept saying “you haven’t told me nothing yet” and before I could say I didn’t want the truck and there was better deals he said “make an offer”. I ended up throwing him an offer that was about 4500 off the asking price, which I would say is more than fair considering the condition it was in. He said no and that was that, it’s not that the experience was sour from him saying no to my price because I honestly don’t want the truck, the experience was sour from the salesman’s attitude. I’m not a fan of being talked rude to when I’m looking to spend over 10k on a truck.The whole experience wasn’t great and neither was the truck, my guess is this smaller lot is tied with a major car lot and these cars are trade ins. Either way, I wouldn’t buy a car from them.

This is a great place to purchase a used car. First of all, we found a very nice, newer car with low mileage for a very fair price and were able to finance for 12 months same as cash which is GREAT!!! After we purchased the vehicle we had a little problem with it sputtering about 2 weeks later. We completely understand that we bought it “as is” however, I called and spoke with Robert and he scheduled us to bring in the car and they cleaned the throttle body free of charge which saved us over $250 since we were told by auto zone it needed to be replaced. They also found a leak when they were in there and went ahead and fixed it free of charge as well. We dropped it off Monday and picked it up the following day. It’s running great and our son has a good reliable car that should last him through college. We couldn’t have provided him with this nice of a car without the help from 4th street auto. They went above and beyond even after we made the purchase to make sure our son was able to drive a safe, well running vehicle. We certainly appreciate it and will refer our friends and family to them for used cars in the future. Excellent service!!! I know we made the right decision by purchasing from them and that is a piece of mind you don’t get the luxury of having often when buying a used vehicle! 5 STARS!!!

Great place to buy a nice car at a more than fair price. Ran into a small problem and the owner had their mechanic take a look at it and replaced the part for me with no labor charge. Had my car back to me in under 24 hours with the problem solved and car running great. Awesome people with excellent customer service and very highly recommended

I went here today with my dad to buy a truck. I am 22 and pregnant. When I told the men I was going to co-sign the loan they looked me up and down and I asked me how old I was like i was a teen or pregnant or something (I dont think that was an appropriate question). I OWN my own house, have a good career and own my own car. I did not appreciate their unprofessionalism. I am doing classes for business and that type of behavior can get them into legal trouble.EDIT:I was not upset that he did not get accepted, I got upset at the way it was worded. It was VERY unprofessional.

Ive had my rough financial moments and as long as youre showing the effort to pay they will work with you and not be overly pushy about payment. I searched for a few weeks for a car with no luck, mostly because of bad credit. Went here just to give it a go, and ended up leaving with a 2011 Toyota Corolla with relatively low miles for their lot (73k). Was even able to put it up on a lift and check it out top to bottom before buying just to ease any concerns I may have had. Tom was my salesman, and walked with me around the lot at least twice showing me vehicles he thought I would be interested in and that would be safe for my children. They worked with me on holding the car for me while my insurance was being transferred which isnt something most other dealers would do. The down payment on most of the vehicles seem somewhat high, but its because the loan terms only go out to 36 months. So even though you have a higher down payment, its less time you have to pay on the vehicles they offer. Out of the 20+ lots I went to before them, these people were the most honest and most genuine people and salesmen Ive ever met. I will continue to go here in the future and suggest you give them a chance too.

I went in to look at a car I had saw online and spoke with Melvin. We test drove the car, Went over the Carfax and etc.... It was a great experience. I was not pressured into buying anything and he answered all my questions. Mr. Baker helped me as well and was VERY nice. They were super friendly. As my children started driving- we would go to Fourth Street to get their car. Fourth street has treated my family like family. They have always been straight, fair, honest, and dependable. Never have I felt like I was anything was ever shady. They took care of me- they take care of my kids. I have referred many people. If you want to feel good about making a partnership with a car-lot- this would be the place!

This is a really good car lot. I bought my car from Tom he is a very nice guy, he didnt put any pressure on me to buy and was very helpful in brainstorming what kind of car I wanted along with what type of payments I would be looking at.I found my car the car I like and bought it, than about two weeks later the check engine light came on. It was the Cadillac converter I called them and told them what was going on they told me to bring it in and they fixed both Cadillac converters and my brakes with no problem.

I got a great car at a good price as the car lasted me years. The only issue I have is that they do not report to credit bureaus and now since I don’t have a paid off car on my credit it’s been hell trying to get a car loan.

Prices were too high(way too pricey)Wasnt much of an selection.Didnt fully trust a vehicle from here( a spare vehicle)Some of the vehicles need too much money dumped in them.Just like any other car lot. I went somewhere else, got a brand new car instead(warranty, etc). If you need a point a to b, you may find a deal here.

We bought a 2009 dodge avenger. After the first payment i had to put a window regulator in. Cost $ 169. But what no one understand its As is. If you want a warranty go to a dealer. Great cars in my opinion!!!

4th street has the BEST deals in town. We just bought a minivan and it was the nicest car weve ever had. I compared the price of two identical cars from this lot and another lot and they had the BEST deal by far. They will fix their cars for super cheap compared to other mechanic shops.

Did not have a good experience here. I know its a buy here pay here lot, however it was honestly surprising how over priced the vehicles were. I took one to my mechanic to be looked at, he tells me it looks sound mechanically (its a Toyota, theyre usually solid). But he says also its worth less than half what theyre asking for it. I said this to the salesman, and he said he couldnt help me at that point. The car was bought at auction for cheap, the price easily quadrupled, and not only that but buy here pay here also gets the interest payments. Ill tell anyone that asks not to come here. Youre taking advantage of people who are just trying to get ahead.

Promised they would fix the check engine light for the emissions system. Took the car to them 3 times and problem is still not fixed. I’m taking my car to toyota & will post any updates on this situation via reviews.Edit: & keeps turning my engine light off.

Music to my ears ! The auto repair shop I took it to quoted me $1400 and said it’d take about a week for the fix. 4th street auto fixed it in a few days for free . Rob made me very comfortable filling me in on every step taken while they had the car. And when I went to pick it up Richard rode with me to test drive it again and even made sure I could check the oil before I left lol. For me, buying a car has never been so easy .I feel like I need some type of guard up being a young female but they are the real deal. I will never buy a car from anywhere else!

I bought a car there and was very unhappy. I had to put almost $1,000 into it on top of what I paid for and after interests. For what I paid I could have got a much better car then the piece of crap they sold me. I dont understand the other good reviews must be friends and family discounts. I understand Im going to have problems with a used car but the problems I had where health hazards. Two of the tires blew out, there was exhaust leaking into the cabin. So I had to have the windows rolled down, in the dead of winter on the express way. I could go on and on but you get the picture.Maybe you had a good experience with them but they took me for a ride that Im still paying for. The guy that usually takes the money for payments is very rude also. They are crooks in my opinion. I should have known though. I was refereed to them also is why I went there. Never again.

I had done a lot of looking online before I was ready to purchase a car. Ive never financed before and I will say 4th street made it easy for me. I saw a special on one of their cars online. Upon looking at it it was defiantly the car for me. When I decided I liked it I asked if I could have someone look at it(mechanic) they has no problem with that. All in all a good car purchase, and no one was continuing to sell me anything. I would recommend this car lot as long as your ok with buy here pay here interest. I worked with Tom and he made it easy and simple for me. Only thing I dont like is that there is no online payment. You have to go pay in person of have bank mail a check. But they are a small business so I guess thats expected.

A year and a 1/2 later, after about 40,000 miles, the car needed a wheel bearing. Fourth Street did the work for HALF PRICE of what Pep Boys wanted. They stand behind their cars AND their customers. I have purchased a 2002 Buick lasabre custom. Everything was okay the first three months Ive had it. Then my windshield wiper motor went out. They replaced it for free. Its still doing the same thing. Plus the two passenger windows will not go up or down. I feel like Ive been played a fool.

Pushy sales guy didnt like the fact that i know about cars, went looking for a car for my wife. The sales guy about lost it when i told him im a mechanic. Lost total intrest in talking to us or selling us a car. Gave the name of a friend of mine that bought a car there a month later the engine blew up. So all in all run from this place better yet dont even bother with going there at all

Spend your hard earned money somewhere else because they do NOT appreciate it here!!! My mom and I have paid off two cars at this location. I went to buy a third one and the owner would not lease a car to me because he didnt think I could afford a $10,000 car. My husband and I could pay the car off in a year with the amount of we make annually. They want you to put $4,000 down on a $10,000 car so they can POCKET the down payment. Beware of these types of dealerships. The owner was very rude and did not consider my income at all. Worst experience ever!!!!!

I dont know anyones name because no one introduced themselves when we arrived, I had been talking with salesman Bob that past few days about buying a car, when we arrived Bob was not there so I worked with another salesman. This salesman was friendly so no complaints out of him. However, we drove a vehicle and I agreed to go ahead and purchase it, I came with everything Bob told me to bring including cash in hand for my downpayment, after I filled out all my paperwork the sales manager (I suppose thats who he was) was trying to raise the price of the vehicle $500 when I was quoted a price by Bob and the price was clearly stated on their website yet he was trying to swindle $500 more from me! I came to this dealership because I saw the car on line, I already have a very nice vehicle but I was wanting a cheap vehicle to save on gas, basically looking for a work car to save miles on my nice vehicle! So first the sales manager tried to get a extra $500 out of me, then he questioned my monthly salary when he had my paperwork right in front him saying he was concerned I couldnt afford it until I had to show him he was wrong, then he said he didnt want to sell to me because Im from Indiana, then he was wanting a co-signer on a $3800 loan.... lol, I have a $22,000 loan on my other vehicle and didnt need a co-signer!!!!!! Needless to say, I felt very disrespected by this sales manager guy and I walked out of this so called dealership with my cash still in my hand, I will buy a car from someone who will appreciate my business!

I went to look at mini vans & they are real nice people. They have A variety of cars to choose from. I ended up getting a 2004 pontiac montana & i absolutely love it. It runs great & fits my family well. They made my car payments where i could easily afford them every month. If i had to re-do the day i went to car lots i wouldve went there first instead.

Went into the lot to look at a Ford Focus, sat down in it and it reeked of smoke. Not the dealers fault of course. I apologized to the dealer and told him we didnt have to bother with a test drive because I knew I wouldnt be able to deal with the smell. He asked me what I was looking for specifically and I explained. He told me that they just had a car arrive yesterday and that it hadnt been listed.Turns out the car was perfect. Drove it off the lot within an hour.Nice people. Family owned and its been around for around 30 years or more.Whether you have USAA insurance or not, this lot is a USAA recommended lot. USAA is really good about filtering out auto lots that have treated their customers poorly. I feel this is something good to know.A guy by the name of Bob helped me out. Nice guy. Not pushy for a second. You ask questions and he answers them, as it should be.

Spend 1625 on a car there. Drove fone the 1st day i had it. The 2nd day the check engine light comes on. Being that i work 7 days a week its hard 2 get any maintenance done. In less than 3 weeks the car wont start. Its also sunday so nobody can look at the car for me. Now i have 2 miss work which i will most likey get written up for an out of a car and 1625. Asked the salesman several times if anything was wrong with the car of course the response was nothing is wrong. Liars,scammers,crooks. Dont buy.

We just purchased our 6th vehicle from 4th St. Mr. Mills is a good honest man, and we trust him. We have purchased a 1998 Voyager minivan, a 1996 Crown Vic, 1999 Expidition, a 2003 Excape, a 2007 Aveo, and today a 2003 Honda Civic over the past 8 or 9 years. All have been good running dependable cars. We spent only what one expect to spend on repairs when you drive a late model vehicle. Quick process, honest straight up answers, and an owner who works with ya. Dont seem the type to play someone for a fool.
