I have worked directly with Jay, the new manager and my experience with him has been nothing but exemplary. The best aspect of the Colonel Ct, Manassas VA Extra Space Storage facility is the on-site employee, Jay. I rarely write reviews such as this, but Jay went the extra mile helping me to close out my unit on short notice.Because of administrative error, I never received notice of significant increases in monthly rates. As a result, I chose to transition to a new storage facility.Jay offered to plead my case with upper management and helped to arrange an agreement that made my transition out of this ExtraSpace facility 100% more amenable.Because of Jay’s involvement, I would consider using ExtraSpace facilities again in the future. Prior to Jay’s efforts and dialogue with management, I would not have done so.Lastly, as I was loading my truck, Jay came by. Seeing that I was doing it alone and that some of my items were cumbersome, Jay offered to lend a hand. This kind gesture, along with the above described, made all the difference.I want to thank Jay for his professionalism, time, energy and thoughtfulness. I hope that upper management recognizes and awards this type of valuable employee.

I told her she didn’t have to. She said she had no problem helping to please allow her to help us. So we did! Two stars: The only redeeming thing was the ability to get a refund instantly.Filled out the paperwork wanting to start the lease term a week and a half later. Believe it or not, NOT EVERYONE leaves everything until the last possible second.So, what happens? Confusion and being told that since I had already paid (They called me to process the application) the lease would start on that day. There would be no way to not get billed until the week and a half after when I actually wanted/needed the lease to start.And I was told (With you NEED to statements, which rubbed me the wrong way) that I needed to fill out the paperwork that very day to start my premature lease.Advertised rate was $35 a month. Add $21 enrollment administrative fee, mandatory $11 insurance, and $16.99 for a special snowflake lock and I was billed $81 or more for the first month.I asked for a refund and to be cancelled and it went through within 5 minutes.American worker strikes again. I had the desired start date on the application, so WHY would you call me before then?Rediculous.

Brandon was the guy who helped me with a unit i bought in an auction. The lock would not come off with the key and he did everything in his power to get us into this unit!! We were leaving town and could not come back to clean it out. Awesome customer service!!

The manager Terry was so nice and helpful!! My fiancée reserved a unit that was too small but she showed us and then showed us the next size up and it’s perfect. She explained all of the fees clearly so that we understood. They place is huge and so clean!! I love the elevator because it’s hard for me to carry things upstairs. I love the service and the place is so nice!!

I did a same day storage move-in and Terry was extremely helpful, she went over all the information and took me to my exact unit. She even came back out in the rain to help me lock my unit! I would definitely recommend this location to others.

This is a great facility. The climate controlled units were kept cool despite the 105 degree heat wave that was going on outside. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, even when I made a mistake on the size of my storage unit. They transferred my unit with no hassle. The staff were both very kind and courteous on my multiple visits.

I just moved out last night after storing my stuff for a year at this facility, I cannot recommend them enough. So we actually left Public Storage because how dirty and rude the facilities were. We looked around and found the this Extra Space facility. We were greeted by the most kind hearted woman. I believe she was the manager and she was so kind and gave a ya a tour of the facilities. We had reserved a climate controlled 5x5 but as soon as we saw how small it was we informed her it wouldn’t work. She happened to have the next size up on the same level as the 5x5. She showed us the lift and they have actually carts onsite! *Something we were promised at Public Storage but never saw* She helped us keep the discounted rate for the larger unit it, was only a few dollars extra given it was larger and all. She walked us step by step through everything. The facilities were and have always remained super clean. We also kept forgetting our code and losing the card she would write it on. Her patience with us for those first 6 months were nothing short of outstanding. Honestly the only reason we moved our stuff out is our spare room opened up and it’s free to store it in house. That’s it! I highly recommend this facility whether you choose climate control or not the place is clean and amazing. I wish I could for the life of me remember the managers name. I would love to call her out by name for all the help and great hospitality.

Extra Space Storage is a good facility. Its clean. The entry keypads are convenient so you dont have to leave the vehicle to open the gate. My only issue was it got a bit pricey over time. When I got the unit, I believe it was $60 - $70/mo., but it kept creeping up to where its $120/mo., which is why I left to a new facility for literally half the rate for the same size unit. That said, I suspect this is an industry thing and ill likely deal with the same from the new place and in 5 years ill move everything again to save $700/year.

Had a great experience! When I initially called I bombarded Terry with a number of questions. She was patient with walking me through my storage options. When I arrived at the location she was again pleasant and quite helpful. I am extremely pleased with my choice to use them.
