My experiences here have been great! Last year when I noticed changes in my vision, my wife made me go get checked out and they did an excellent job setting me up with glasses and this year when I came in to get contacts for motorcycling they knocked it out of the park again. Their office is fully equipped and the Optos machines they use make incredible images that honestly blow my mind. Excellent frame choices and great staff all around. If only going to the dentist was this easy...

East Memphis Optometry provides great service. EMO staff are always very friendly and informative. The eye exam is very thorough. Dr. Wallace takes his time with his patients. My daughter and I feel like we are family during our visits at EMO.

Súper nice people & very thorough. They respected my needs & by selecting frames online first, I saved valuable time that made the decision process seamless. There are soooo many choices! Glad I narrowed it down first. Dont skip this step! Will admit that I paid a little more than other optical stores however- I feel like it was money well spent and I am getting quality eye care & eyewear AND Im supporting a local business- not a chain store.

The service provided at East Memphis Optometry is outstanding. The front office staff are friendly and courteous, as well as efficient. The wait to be seen is usually not long. Dr Wallace is knowledgeable and courteous. He spends the time needed for the patient, thoroughly discussing any questions that may be asked.

I saw Dr. Wallace today for an issue that I had seen an ophthalmologist before in the past. I never got any answers until I visited Dr. Wallace today and brought up that issue. Not only did he figure out my problem, but he gave me an easy solution. As if that wasn’t enough already to make my visit worthwhile, I also was impressed with how friendly and helpful EVERYBODY is in that office. So glad that I go there 😀

I went in for a Comprehensive eye exam and contact fitting. The staff was nice and the place had a good atmosphere. Dr. Landon Wallace was thorough and very helpful with recommendations to other concerns I had (pretty cute too 😉 ). Easily located office building, clean and not crowded. I really like this optometrist and have been going there annually for my family’s eye exams and glasses for almost 15 years. Dr. Lee has retired and Dr. Wallace has taken over the practice and updates many aspects of it. I would give them 5 Stars — but I wanted to make a point about two things.First off it seems that they have gotten more expensive. I used to get in and out of there for around $175 and that included my frames (I have really good insurance). Now, even with my insurance, it’s almost $300. It seems that they are doing more up selling. From the time you are pick out your frames to the time you check out the cost just keep increasing.Finally — the cost — though it’s a lot to me comparatively, if there was a better selection of frames I would not mind quite as much. Their selection is okay for the typical East Memphis clientele, bit if you want something a little edgier, or funky there is not a lot to choose from. I like the frames I landed on, but I’m not super excited about them.I know to some people $300 is not a lot for glasses. Honestly I can afford it, but it is the principle. The only reason I did not order online is that I like to look at the glasses and I have to have a new pair because I can’t see at all right now with what I have.

I accidentally sat on my Glasses and broke them. Marcus is fantastic. He is also very nice and very helpful. He really saved me today and I cannot even begin to Thank him and East Memphis Optometry enough.

My appointment was at 11:00 am and I was seen within less than 5 minutes of arrival. A complete comprehensive exam and evaluation, including a detailed comprehensive consultation, frame selection and payment for services took place in less than an hour. All were polite, professional, and personable which made my time in the clinic enjoyable.

Both Dr. Wallace and Lee are great! I am a fairly new patient and I am glad I lucked up on such a great practice! The receptionist, was very friendly! Its a great atmosphere from the front to the back of the office. I love the text reminders and follow up after the visit. Cant to sport my new frames, thanks for such a great visit!

My husband and I both see Dr. Landon Wallace, and he does a fantastic job. He works very hard to ensure that we receive the best possible prescription for our eyes, also taking into account that we want our lenses to last as long as possible. He is very knowledgeable and friendly, and so are the rest of the staff. We highly recommend East Memphis Optometry.

I tend to judge places from the bottom up meaning the staff at the bottom is a reflection of management. The exception is for doctors which are obviously bottom down as the most important factor is the doctor.Either way, top to bottom or bottom to top, one of the best first visit doctor experiences Ive had. Both staff and doctor were pros, engaged and instantly personable.

Prescription was fine, but actually getting the new glasses took almost three weeks. In the past, Ive gotten them much sooner, but this time, I didnt purchase frames from them. Perhaps that explains the inordinately longer turnaround.

Very efficient and professional. I felt confident that I was getting a thorough eye exam.

UPDATE PT II: I had another glasses incident SEVERAL months later and as soon as I walk in the door Demarcus called me by name. The staff studied the frames, asked questions and told me what to expect. Great service yet again.UPDATE: I KNEW I had destroyed my glasses, but I brought them in anyway, and Demarcus worked MAGiC on them! I cant tell anything was ever wrong with them!This is a smaller office, which is great. Its much more personal than the big groups and I was seen and attended to much more quickly than Im used to. Dr. Wallace is easy to get along with and does his job well.

My husband and I have both gone to Dr. Lee and Dr. Wallace for three years. I would not recommend them to others. Dr. Wallace is very kind and efficient at what he does. Dr. Lee is very rude and short. If it takes a moment for you to determine an answer (you know: “which looks better 1 or 2”) he seems actively upset that you are wasting his time. I was very disturbed when I had a corneal ulcer (not a common thing) I went to Dr. Lee and was given a follow up appointment the next week. When I came in just 7 days later Dr. Lee had no recollection or me, or the corneal ulcer in my eye. He went through the exact same questions he had the week before and showed the same expression/ made the same comments he had before.The first pair of glasses I ordered from here did not have high definition lens, even though I had specifically asked for them. Later I received two different prescriptions just 8 days apart, I still have no clue which was more accurate.
