If looking at purchasing a used car from South County Lexus, I recommend either getting an independent mechanic to inspect the vehicle before purchasing or taking your business elsewhere. I purchased a used 4Runner from this dealership about 7 months ago and I just brought my car to my local mechanic (top reviewed mechanic in Orange County as I try my best to avoid wasting my time with those who are subpar) for an oil change. They conduct a thorough inspection when getting an oil change and they noticed that the front struts were completely blown out and leaking. Additionally, the rear suspension was also shot. I asked the mechanic if that seemed like something that could have happened within a few months time as he knew the car was recently purchased and he informed me that the amount of oil that was built up and how bad of shape that both the front and rear suspension were in, that it was not a recent occurrence and it has been in serious need of replacing for some time.When I purchased the vehicle, I was informed that South County Lexus was going to go through everything and replace anything that was worn and in need of being replaced or if it posed a risk. They had been working on the car for over a week before I was able to take it home as both the front and rear bumpers were damaged. I was informed that they were no accidents reported and that only the bumpers were damaged and nothing else was. I was even given a brief tour of their auto repair bay so I could be shown how extensive their services and operation are. Turned out to be smoke and mirrors for my vehicle. For those unaware, bad struts can be quite dangerous if they are in bad enough shape and immediate repair is typically recommended, this was the case for my vehicle.I had contacted South County Lexus a week ago and spoke to multiple individuals to try to find a resolution as well as having had left a message for one of the managers to get back to me and I have yet to hear back from someone who can actually assist me with this issue. The repair cost $1,400 total for the front and rear struts, which in my opinion, should have been taken care of by South County Lexus before selling me the vehicle. That is nearly the equivalent of selling someone a car with bad brakes and bald tires, except this is a much steeper expense and is still very dangerous to drive.I would love for someone from South County Lexus to actually get back to me and to take accountability for what is completely unacceptable when selling a vehicle, regardless of being used or new.

My journey to purchasing a new Lexus began using the build your Lexus app. Within 15 minutes I had a notification email regarding locations that I could find the car I was looking for. A few minutes later, I got a call from Matthew Molus of South County Lexus.He provided via e-mail the Spec sheet on the desired car that was located at a different dealership but advised that he could get the car to South County. I had more homework to do and advised that I would get back to him. Over the next day, we exchanged emails as I had a few questions. Matthew answered each promptly and without any pressure to move forward on a purchase.After a few days Matthew advised that a vehicle had just come in very close to the spec we had. We decided to go test drive the car. Great experience and we left advising we would think it over.We loved the car and negotiated a price over the phone later that night.So easy to work with Matthew - will return.

I went to South County Lexus at Mission Viejo to get our second Lexus. I could not believe how smooth and nice was the purchasing process. From sales team to financing it took very short time and the team were very professional, friendly, and nice and were not pushing like other dealerships. My salesman Mohammad and SJ were really great! So was the finance guy Larry! Fantastic people. Will definitely go back there again for my next purchase.
Poor and condescending attitude toward closing a deal. They try to hide behind market based no hassle pricing. i.e. they won’t move off of their price. Unless of course, they can’t sell the car; then they lower the “no-hassle” price. To make a long story short, they (salesman JR and his manager) didn’t close on my offer of $300 less that their advertised price of $23,403. Their choice. Then they have the poor judgement to call me back a day later to see if I am still in the market. I told them they had the chance yesterday. And why would they be calling me back. Not the worst dealership I’ve visited, but pretty poor and somewhat arrogant.

This was our first time with Lexus. We had a very smooth and pleasing process starting with him up to the finance team. He made every effort to find me the right car with all the features I wanted. And before we left the dealer, he gave me a lecture on “LEXUS 101” on every buttons/knobs that you see inside the car. It was like a “LIVE” instruction manual ! Sales guy was nice and finance guy was cool but let me tell you about the rest of my experience. We purchased a used Hyundai Elantra for my daughters 16th birthday two months ago (it’s been a great little car).When I was looking at the car before purchase I turned on the A/C and hear a fluttering noise. They took it back to the mechanics and they said I needed a new blower and the would give me the part at cost $380 (actual cost $89). I decided to do the repair my self thanks to YouTube. I went to the local auto parts store and ordered the part and decided to buy a new cabin filter since both are located in the same area. Upon removing the glovebox and cover I found the existing cabin filter was about half of the size of the one I purchased. With the filter exposed I turned on the A/C and watched the small filter bouncing up and down in the slot (cause of fluttering). I swapped out the filter ($20) and closed it back up. PROBLEM SOLVED!The second exciting news is reflected in the pictures. They did some “touch-up” paint and the areas the touched up are bubbling, you can see paint drips, and over spray on the grill. If you buy a used car from there make sure to do a close inspection of EVERYTHING and get a second opinion before relying on the in-house mechanics.
I had a very pleasant experience dealing with Mohamed Elnaghia. I called him on Saturday inquiring on a 2021 es300h and he asked me what I wanted and he made it happen. No run around. He was able to earn my business when I had a few options in mind at other establishments. He made it happen for me and even came in on his day off today. Would definitely recommend and will be returning when I need an SUV.
My husband and I just bought a certified preowned lexus here. Robert Deleon salesman was the person who helped us out. He did such a stellar job. He was very knowledgeable about the cars and also discussed the price with us clearly. He didnt pressure us to buy the car at all. We felt very pleasant being there.This is my 3rd time owning a lexus so Ive deal with many salesman before. We had other options lower price but we were very pleased with the customer services, so we came back to S County lexus to get the car. Robert also followed up with us a few days later after we bought the car. If it was another dealership, they prob ghost you after they sold the car. Overall, were very pleased and will buy cars there again in the future.

He helped setup the navigation, the stereo settings, the seat & mirror settings & made sure we knew how every little thing on the vehicle worked. (Theyll even come to your house to setup your garage door opener!) Talk about the royal treatment! We first purchased our first used CPO Lexus RX 400H in 2012. We ended up driving to southern California from the San Francisco bay area as they had the right car/color we could not find anywhere else.Fast forward to Nov of 2020 and once again they had the right Lexus GX460 we were looking for. Greg helped us by sending us additional pictures and answered additional questions. He arranged for the vehicle to be held for us. We drove down and purchased the vehicle the next day. I would highly recommend both Greg and this dealership in general.

It does get two stars because they do have one fantastic person in finance by the name of Ryan that actually does his job and was a pleasure to work with. Other than that run from this place pretty much a horrible experience all around other than finance.The general manager of used car sales is one of the most horrible people you will ever want to meet on the face of Earth. She seems to think shes doing you a favor and has a sharp tongue towards customers which made up my mind to never visit this dealership again.

I have to say I’m not easy to impress when it comes to dealerships, as most leave a sour taste in my mouth. South county Lexus has exceeded all expectations. Our salesman (Enzo), and finance advisor (Matthew) were extremely friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the process. The lot and facility are spotless and maintained. The cars all look like they cared for, including the used ones. I actually feel like the certified cars are truly certified. As a result we traded my wife’s old GMC Terrain in at a very fair price, and walked out with a certified NX200t F-Sport with an even better price. These guys definitely have the best prices I’ve seen in SoCal for this brand. It was also nice that we didn’t spend the entire day closing the deal; done and out the door in less than 5 hours.My wife always dreamed of owning a Lexus, and now that dream is a reality for her. I’ve mostly owned GM vehicles my whole driving career, and this is my first time going non-American. If Lexus makes a pickup in the future (no I’m not sold on the Tacoma), I would definitely look here first!

Service of this place approximately 3-4 times more expensive than any other Lexus in Orange County. Ive checked 2 other Lexuses (in Tustin and Costa Mesa) . Estimation: $600 vs $192 in Tustin. Parts: $375 vs online $115 (the highest!!!). They also not clean. My new carpets was very dirty from oily boots (the one on driver side - I did a photo and going to send to their manager). I dont know about their selling quality, but I DO NOT recommend you to go there if you need to fix something or even just for estimation.

My wife and I drove 5 and half hours to South County Lexus for a vehicle that we saw online. Initially, we werent sure what to expect because we arrived late on a Sunday evening. However, by the end of the night, it proved to be well worth the effort. It was, by far, the best car-buying experience weve ever had. Everyone was extremely cordial and helpful. Dr. Nick was fantastic! He made us feel welcomed, didnt rush us, and made the whole car-buying experience actually quite enjoyable. Larry, from the finance department, was great. Patrick was very nice, thorough, and patient with us when he explained all the cool technological features that our vehicle has. The only bad thing that happened to me there was when my wife and I were walking around looking at the vehicles, bird poop landed on my shoulder. But, Dr. Nick assured me that it was a sign of good luck, and it turned out to be true. My wife and I are very happy that we drove 5 and half hours to South County Lexus.

Talked to service department with Nathan. Very unprofessional and rude about explaining the warranty. He hanged off the phone! I didn’t expect poor customer service from this dealership. They need to know how to treat and talk to their customers. They checked the car around 2 months ago and told me no issue found, but the engine didn’t start when I was traveling. I had to call Lexus roadside assistance on a Sunday afternoon. Nathan said I had to tow the car to their location, when I was 8 hours away because he cannot trust the AAA which sent by Lexus!
I really enjoyed the welcoming attitude and prompt service that Carlos Medelin provided. He explained what was would be done and specified the time frame required for the work so that I can manage my time. The work was done properly within the specified time frame. The entire staff is really friendly and the dealership is a pleasant, clean and inviting place to hang around at while you are waiting. Hi,We recently purchased a used Volvo from South County Lexus. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. Here are our concerns:- The vehicle only comes with one key. We were not told by the salesperson, Hakan, before making the purchase that it only comes with one key. Of course everyone should always have a spare key. We only found out after we finished all the paperwork and was getting ready to drive off the lot at 9pm. Rather than being apologetic, an argument ensued and voices were raised. Hakan called his manager, Garret, who started yelling and talking rudely to my wife. Both were really unprofessional. We later found out that the key will cost over $400 at the Volvo dealership.- We requested that the general sales manager, Gina give us a call to discuss our concerns. We did not receive any follow up calls.- There was a dent in the lift gate that needed to be repaired. They offered to repair it and provide us with a rental car. When my wife brought in the car for repair, there was no record that the rental car was approved. After some back and forth, she was able to get a rental car.- After we got home, we found a large rip in the back of the seat. It cost us $150 to get the leather repaired.Coming out of pocket $550 after paying over $25,000 for a used car is very disappointing. Wed still would love a call from Gina to discuss our concerns. Hopefully she will call us soon for a resolution.My recommendation:Reconsider purchasing any used car from this dealership. If you do plan to, make sure you inspect car carefully. Also, get what they offer you in writing.Negotiate trade in value.

Purchased a certified used CT200, I was told it was never in an accident and perfect condition, after the 1st year I noticed the paint start to chip off the front bumper and show the plastic underneath, when I asked the service department about it I was told it was painted by someone who didn’t know what they were doing before it got to Lexus, took about 2.5 months before I was able to get a hold of a sales manager and she basically told me Lexus won’t do anything and I have to pay for the repair, which requires the bumper to be taken off and completely stripped and re painted which will cost 500 dollars. She made it sound like this was common on every used car they sell, I have owned a lot of cars, and I have never had anything like this ever happen, extremely disappointed, I will never get another Lexus after this experience, I feel like I was lied to about this car, If I was told I was going to have to spend 500 dollars to repaint the bumper I never would have bought this car, I thought certified meant it was inspected carefully and everything on it was done by Lexus, that is not the case.

If i could give 0 stars to this dealership I would!We took our car here for an early 20k maintenance service. Was told the car needed tire replacement as well as the brakes and need some cleaning or resurfacing the rotors. It costs an arm and a leg so we ask the service rep (Nathan) if theres any discount/promotion he can give and said there is none, so we just proceed with everything for the brakes.Did lot of research bout the tires and found out the one dealership is offering are not good ones even if we pick their priciest ones. Bought the best tires recommended and it was installed yesterday.Found out that we have 15% discount at this dealership for being a Costco member that we shouldve used with the brakes parts and services we paid for last week but was never offered by the service representative at the dealership! So now we came back for wheel balancing and alignment and told them about the 15% discount we should be having and customer representative (Anthony) doesnt honor it and keeps saying its not applicable to tires when were not buying tires! He keep saying its only applicable to parts and services, exactly we came for a service not for tires! And now he said our last appointment was already discounted when it wasnt and we paid $700 for it! He also keeps saying we shouldve gotten the tires from them instead as they have better ones and tire alignment will be free?? Why the heck you keep pushing for something youre not being asked!Beware of this dealership/service department! Such a bunch of gators who only knows to bill you more and bashes if you dont buy it from them!

I was looking for a 2019 RX350 FSport in White with Red Interior/Panoramic Moonroof/Mark Levinson/Triples Beam Head Light, which is extremely rare. I was dealing with Lexus Dealers of Newport (largest Lexus in Orange County), San Diego, Carlsbad, El Cajon, and Westminster (Little Saigon) but no one has this car in stock. No one willing to “go extra mile” to sell me this car. I contacted Twee Hayes and within 8 hours, I bought my dream car from her. Twee went the “extra mile” to delivery my car from another dealer which located 80 miles away, through the traffic of Los Angeles. I am extremely happy with Twee’s dedication and professionalism. She makes me think of Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible! I also extremely happy with South County Lexus’s staff. Never buy a used car here. they sold me a broken Mercedes (shaking rpm, broken transmission, broken park brake) after I came back and told them that, they did a diagnostic and said everything is perfect, we didn’t find any issues (just because it didn’t show check engine light or codes). Robert was great. No pressure and very professional. Got the 2014 RX450h. Transaction was a little longer than expected (4hrs total) but we also had a trade in which had to be evaluated and worked out some negotiations so not too bad. All in all a great experience. The sales person was courteous on the phone when I asked about the certified Lexus vehicle. However, gave me wrong info about the warranty will last 3 years when it was actually 2. I arrive, checkout the car, everything looks good except the passenger side and rear seat AC is not working and always blowing hot air. I asked why it is broken when this is certified car and he goes on to tell me he is not sure whether that is checked under certification but keeps on telling me it is ok since it is covered under warranty. Him and his manager keep saying I should make the purchase and lock on the price and car, while they fix the car. I told them no about 3 times but they persistently tell me to do it as if I am making bad decision. Like hell I am going to invest in 22k car that is improperly checked, certified, and not even full working condition.Dont trust their word for anything. Check everything yourself. I was long time Lexus owner and trust the car brand but dont ever trust dealers word for condition of the car. Their certification was a joke and charge extra on it.
This will be short and easy. We walked the parking lot. 25k in hand. Nobody helped. Had an appointment. Nothing. Was interested in a vehicle. Said it was a no hassle price. But someone else gave us a newer car, less miles and more additions. And it was only less than 300 dollars. And they couldnt go down lower. Well its still there. And its cheaper than there no hassle price. Horrible experience. Dont buy. Buyers beware. Not negotiable.
Well I am back for car #3, I cannot imagine buying or leasing a car anywhere else. I have been with Mercedes Benz, BMW, Cadillac and Infiniti and I can honestly say I would never go back to any of them or another Lexus dealership for that matter after being treated like family at South County Lexus. This last deal required them to jump through rings of fire in order to get me financed and they made it happen and did it with a smile. They never made me feel bad about the situation I was in either. Life happens, nothing worse than going to a dealership and them treating you poorly due to credit issues, WAY over on miles, an accident on your Carfax or in my case all of the above. I appreciate Pat Lustig Sr’s countinuous help over the years not to mention Michael, Houston and the miracle worker in the finance department, thank you all 1000x A++++ gentleman.

I just helped my daughter purchase her first vehicle through South County Lexus. Due to current Covid 19 I was anxious about having to have long contact with a sales person for the the purchasing process. After contacting a few dealerships with specific questions about pricing the only one who responded with exact answers to my questions was Hamid at South County Lexus. All other dealerships responded to me by asking me to come test drive the vehicle even after I had specifically explained not needing to test drive. Hamid was very responsive, respectful and made the experience a bliss. I am very thankful to him for having everything ready when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, my contact was very minimal and I was in and out in a hour. He even resanitized the vehicle himself before we left. I will forever be greatful for the easy no hassle process and experience. The salesperson by the name of Katrina Brown did nothing to sell the car I went to see. I made an offer to buy at selling price out the door but she said the cars listed at that dealer have no room for negotiation. If that’s true, don’t waste your time driving down there trying to negotiate selling price.
My wife and I had an exceptional visit and experience at South County Lexus and that was all due to Katrinas friendly, knowledgeable and no pressure demeanor. Starting from my early email communications with Katrina regarding my interest in the new 2019 Lexus ES 350 F Sport and when it would arrive, to when I could test drive it, to seeing the different options available, and finally purchasing one (I believe that we were the first ones to buy the 2019 ES 350 F Sport at South County Lexus!), everything was top notch! I observed the very nice teamwork between Katrina and the entire service and tech support team within South County Lexus, which made it a very stress-free experience for us. Katrina is new to South County Lexus and is a rising star! Katrina made our first Lexus experience memorable - we purchased that day! My sister purchased a Lexus GS 350 last Wednesday. Other than the very good price, she also had very pleasant experience with the sales rep Ryan Rice. She highly recommend us to visit South County Lexus too. And we did on last Saturday, and we also purchased a Lexus GS 350.We enjoyed working with Ryan very much just like my sister did. We had to trade in our 2006 Lexus LS 430, and Ryan worked with his manager and gave us a good price. The entire experience was very pleasant, no stress, and everyone there seemed super friendly. (The candy on the reception desk was so good. I meant to grab a few before I left but forgot to do so! ) We will come back for another car in 2018 when my daughter graduates from college. We highly recommend this dealership (and Ryan Rice!!) when you think about buying a Lexus.By the way, we live in Pasadena. It was well worth the driving.

I recently purchased a brand new car from South County Lexus. I worked via the telephone with Jason Thomas. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. He was never pushy or aggressive. He offered a terrific price. I live in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles and it was definitely worth the effort to buy from South County Lexus and in particular to work with Jason Thomas.
I was searching for a used Lexus for almost a month. With the covid situation, it was extra hard for me to just communicate with different car dealers fully online in order to narrow my options to which cars I will actually check in person. While I was already exhausted at one point looking for a used car in great condition and a dealership thats legit, I reviewed my long list of cars and this 2012 CT200H from South County Lexus popped up. I checked out their website and saw that they have very good reviews. I immediately sent them a message. Salesman Robert called me right away and texted me all the details that I asked for. I decided I was gonna go the same day, test the car and the works. When I got their, first impression is that this dealership aesthetically speaking is not the most grand Ive seen, but the experience they give their customers make up for it. Robert was very accommodating since I ended up test driving 2 very different cars, an RX350 and the CT200H. Both cars were in excellent condition, but I went home with the latter, and regardless of what I had picked, my experience with this dealership is deifinitely 5 stars. Never did they hard sell anything. I was also planning to go to few other dealerships that day, but never did because of the satisfaction I got. Manager Barry was also extra nice, giving me and my boyfriend a yummy treat while awaiting as they were running a soft check on my credit. All in all, in my experiences with different dealerships, and this as my first luxury car experience, now I know why most of my friends love and recommends Lexus. You not only buy quality cars but the people make it an enjoyable experience. In the future, when Im in need of a car, I will for sure go back to this place!
I purchased a car 2 years ago from this dealership. Long story short I referred a close friend to this dealership. What I thought would be a good experience for my friend turned out to be nothing but grief. My friend was treated poorly and did not make a purchase. I will never do business from this dealership and neither will my friends. Its apparent during this trying time in the world this dealership has no compassion, no integrity, and unprofessional business conduct. This dealership has shifted for the worst. Everything is a reflection of the sales executives and your salesman mirrored your expectations of less than honorable business conduct.
Hello everyoneSince the quarantine, I did not drive too much and most of the time I stayed home, because I am a college instructor and I teach online. Last week Lexus in Mission Viejo called me and asked me to take my car to the dealership for the service. I told the guy that I really did not drive from March until now and I dont think my car needs any services. The guy on the phone told me okay just bring your car to see if you need service or not. I took my car last Saturday July 25th for the service. I told the agent that I really dont need service but please check to see if my car need anything and he said okay. Normally during the service they call me and ask me for my authorization if they want to fix or add something but this time I did not receive any call and when I go to pick up my car I realize that they charge me for 613 dollars. In this covid 19 situation I lose many hours in my job and my economy situation is not good. They call me to bring my car to check and then after that they charge me that much money. Normally for service they charge me between 200 to 280 dollars and now 613 dollars. With all respect I feel that I get abused and they rip me off. I call the agent to see if I get discount or they can help me with my economy situation but the agent repeatedly say this is your mistake and You sign the paper and that make me so upset. Yes I sign the paper but the agent told me that they check to see if my car needs service and then at the end they charge me 613 dollars. At the end he just give me a discount for 100 dollars but this is not my point why they ask me to bring the car for just check and then they charge me that much money. Thanks

I always enjoy my experience when dropping my car off for service. My advisor, Hassan is so friendly and professional. He makes sure that all my car needs are addressed and explains everything that’s included under warranty and what is not upfront so there are no surprises. If a loaner car is necessary, no problem. And the lounge is comfortable with snacks and beverages.

We had a great experience at South County Lexus! We worked with Jason Thomas, their Internet Guest Experience Manager. Jason was great. He was quick with information and very helpful. We did most of our interaction via email. While other dealerships were hiding the ball and trying to get us to come in, Jason was a straight shooter. He gave us price quotes over email and gave us options for different payment plans. He listened to what we were looking for and got what we wanted. Most importantly for me, however, the actual transaction was smooth, quick, and easy. I think I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Jason and their finance department had everything filled out in advance. What a great experience for getting a new car!
