As for the store and its contents I must say they have great things - from garden and patio to indoor furniture and area rugs.BUT I was not thrilled with their management. I found a great table/cabinet for my entry area of my home (the wood was the perfect color for what I need). Unfortunately, there was damage to the bottom of the piece - not a scratch either. It was a small chunk off the shelf at the base and its not something you could see past. I asked the manager if they could get another one or at least give me a little money off so I could have it fixed (the piece was almost 500.00) And they said the best they could do was $20 off I thought I was hearing things. They furthered by saying in NO uncertain terms not to purchase it. I was a bit taken back by that. Doesnt make me right or wrong. Its just worth noting in my opinion.Ill still shop there and I would still say its a must try for others.
I was overwhelmed by the amount of disorganization in the store. My advice to the manager. You have very nice items to sell. You have a well lit airy store. Have the employees organize the items in the store and you will have a very inviting store. I visited home goods in Closter and in Paramus and I find them much more inviting and much more organized. Please dont take my comments the wrong way. Thank you
Good variety of home decors and home necessities, beautiful designs but always double check the quality of what youre getting.
This store is great especially if youre looking for bigger treasures. They have unique chairs, sofas, side & coffee tables, mirrors, desks, bookshelves, beautiful rugs, artwork, etc.. and they also have a small section of everything else! Love it
Cant think of one negative thing to say. Went here for the first time today. Plenty of carts, and as expected, left with waaay more than intended to. Big difference here from home goods is that there are friendly staff working all over the place, eager to help, and smiling. Wow. Great selection of furniture, lots of end tables and lighting. Lots of rugs! All good prices. The ladies even helped me to my car with my 5 huge bags and a velvet office chair!
Such a fun store! Evert piece of furniture is unique and well priced!
Nicely laid out store very similar to Home Goods or Kirklands. Good selection of most all the accessories and furnishings you might need for your home at reasonable prices. The main problem with the store is the lack of parking in the small lot shared with Trader Joes. Even on a Monday at 11.0am it took 10 minutes to get a spot.
I was impressed! I love Home Goods but now my new love is Homesense. They have beautiful items and a very large selection. The prices are great and good customer service.
The people at the door are kind and greet you well, the store is well stocked and organized. The cashiers are nice and attentive. Very clean place. BUT the staff on the floor are grumpy, and rude. I have not been treated with respect by the floor staff any of the times I have been there. A real shame since I recently moved to town and love having a Homesense near by. I wont stop going, but I wish the attention by the floor staff matched the high standards carried out through the rest of the store.
Love love love this store.. I dare you to walk in and not buy something
Gosh I love this store! Homesense is an art teachers decor dream any time of year, but during the holiday time, when theres glitz and gifts aplenty, this is the place to go! So easy to find things to fill my home with a little extra sparkle, and check those few remaining friends and family members off my shopping list. I was here all throughout my move last year to help decorate my place as well. Cant go wrong with a TJX store, this one has a little more pizzazz than a Homegoods and more reliable stock than the East Hanover Homesense. My one gripe is the parking lot. Because its connected to the Trader Joes and the entrance is right by an exit on Rt 17, getting in and out of here and finding a spot is a bit of a hassle, but worth the stay once youre parked!
Poor service. There are multiple employees throughout the store who just seem to hope you dont ask them for help. I watched 2 employees adjust the same 2 small items for 15 minutes. Checkout was worse. We wanted while just 1 register was operating and 3 employees were helping a single customer. Finally the manager told one of the employees to assist us. Not very friendly.
I am completely embarrassed by how UNPROFESSIONAL this store is. Long story short i purchased a rug on Saturday to put in my BRAND NEW HOUSE. It did not for in the room so i wrapped it up to immediately return. Due to Bergen county’s Blue Law business such as homesense are closed Sunday therefore i had to wait until it was convenient enough for me to return it. I went to return the rug and the associates were rude. They kept me waiting and said they needed to look at the rug before returning it. A woman by the same oh JENASM approached me and accused me of bringing back a stained rug. When i returned it in the same condition i purchased it. She continued to verbal harass me and give me a hard time about it. And as i DEFENDED myself she became more aggressive and her tone grew more aggressive and loud. She then proceeded to walk away from me while talking badly through her headset. As a former TJX employee i do not appreciate this kind of harassment.
There was a very helpful young lady Kayla. She had a tape measure on her to help me measure furniture .She was so patience with me.
My all the favorite store and location!
Nice buys for indoor and outdoor
Shopping at Home Sense is a delightful experience. The Staff is very attentive toCustomer needs & they exceed expectations. They also provide alternative solutions for ascenario in a gracious manner. The Staff is a Role Model and strong asset to the Company.
Really nice store. Lots of cute stuff. Just wish they had a better selection of bedding, there was like almost nothing there, which was the main reason I came there and was pretty disappointed. Was looking for a comforter and sheets and they had like 4 hideous comforters and barely any sheets. Other than that, lots of different decor items. Except not a lot of wall art either.
Love this place. Staff is friendly and helpful This store has lots of exclusivity.Best place to buy home goodsI highly recommend it. Nice and clean.
The store is great but... customer service when trying to return for an item is HORRIBLE - I had the paper and Email Receipts on my phone. The associate that was helping first told me it was not an item from their store. Then I asked her to double check and yes it scanned in as an item from their store. Then they would not give me my money back because the description number did not the number on the receipt but gave me store credit.... This was a mistake on their scanning system. I double and triple checked every receipt from every purchase I have made there and none of the numbers match up after going home... They gave me a store credit which is completely unfair and bad business! Especially when there is an issue based on scanning system. Be careful before you leave if you are buying pillows or items you might want to return b/c they will keep your money and you will have to use your hard earned cash at one of their stores so essentially you are not getting your money back. I should report to BB. ALSO - I asked to speak to a manager and the associate would not call one up...
Almost a Pier One lol! This place is great
Pricey decent selection
Great selection! Amy the manager was exceptionally helpful! Will def be returning, always love shopping here for home decor!
Love this store! I take my time and browse. No one bothers me but staff is helpful when I ask questions or need assistance. The prices are amazing? Quality is good! They dont have layaway which they should for certain items. I highly recommend this store.
This place is definitely na great new addition to the area. It is a bit more home design centric than other places.
Its a wonderful store with lots of options and ideas for decorating, but they definitely need to improve their customer service. Spent 30 minutes in line to pay for a few items because only 2 cash registers were open ( handling returns and purchases) for 25 people in line. Manager was nowhere to be found to open another register. Some people were just giving up and leaving.
I could kill a credit card in this store!!
Homesence and Homegoods are sister stores, very similar items. If you like one you will decide like the other. I was looking for a large area rug- I found it at Homegoods.
The worst costumer service!! They sell extremely cheap furniture from China. Assembled improperly by the employees.
Nies please
Nice selections but not nice prices
Small but wonderful selection of articles and goods, and good prices.
Love coming into this store, the place has so many things to choose from at a good price. Just love buying small furniture here.
Good things, a higher end home goods, some identical things they have, you’ll find at homegoods at the same price. The down side is the time you spend in line. Not just in this Home Sense, but seems to be the same re occurring thing in others as well. Count on at least 10 minutes or more waiting
Loved it, so much variety
I got few things for kitchen from this location, its nice place with average prices.
Love this place❤️! They always have something that I can use in the house!!!
Pretty cool store with lots of high end luxury home good at affordable prices.Thou store can be little overwhelming when you are looking for an specific item; and the lack of proper staffing to assist you, makes it an unpleasant shopping experience.
Similar to tj max and home goods. Nice place.
Great 👍
Love, love this place! Always a great find and great prices.
Decent inventory but staff is bored, disinterested and unprepared (no tape at the register to wrap fragile items - kid told me, matter-of-factly, they ran out weeks ago and never replaced). During a separate visit, I asked for a discount on an item that was chipped with a broken latch. Employee relunctantly asked STORE MANAGER, who executed discount but did not look at me or acknowledge me in any way. Lines are usually short but take excessive amounts of time. Been there maybe 5 times - don’t think I’ll be back.
Wonderful customer services and a great selection of items
Owned by HomeGoods, so alot of items will seem familiar. Its as though they pass off regularly priced HomeGood items then put a clarence price to make it seem like its a deal. Go if you happen to be in Trader joes which is next door.
It has more space then your average HomeGoods therefore more inventory. When I went the staff was better then your usual disinterested dopie staff that you get at the other company stores.
Great place to find brand furniture and key items for your home decor.
Its really organized and the items are really good items.
Wonderful finds grab them quick before they sell out!!!
Very good store. Highly recommend shopping here.
Great
Good home store.
Love this store.
It’s just a slightly larger home goods...Everything except kids iteams and not so much food iteams...wasn’t all that impressed ...At home in Wayne is much larger and has a bigger selection for every thing and there’s a home goods a couple steps away ....I rather go to one place and go to 2 stores...and the parking lot is kinda small and it’s shared with Trader Joe’s
Very good prices
Horrific Customer Service. I think they train the young gentlemen employees to ignore and scoff at customers.
Live love and shop
Overpriced, lesser options than HomeGoods.
Love this place
Super clumsy and crowded with stuff
Not to impress 🤔
Good!!
Great place to shop while decorating your home. Super service.Affordable prices - I recommend .👍👍
Fabulous ..... everything you need for your home. And the prices very good ...
A business to go crazy with such beauty and good price for the house👍👏👏
There are many kinds of furniture and carpets. The types of bowls and candles are on display, so you should watch them carefully.
I bought a table here.I think I change it every day. I need something.
