Literally my bike got stolen and I had to make a gofund me account to get a new one because I do not have a money to get another bike . I am fortunate enough to say that I had enough people to send me money to get a new bike and the moment I walked into the shop I automatically saw the bike I loved they let me ride it and I bought it. The staff are very respectful and engages in conversations and know exactly what to do! Highly recommend going here !
TLDR; Wouldnt recommend bringing larger repairs because if you dont fix it with them, they could refuse to return your bike to you in working condition, even if it was working when you brought it inI had originally brought my bike in for a flat. They fixed the flat and then told me there was another issue involving the headsets connection to the fork that should be fixed. I had noticed the issue, but had been riding the bike for a year at this point with it impacting me very little. I decided to bring in the bike anyway for the $50 repair. They then called me and told me the repair would be $250. I decided I wouldnt go through with it because I didnt think the bike was worth that much, and I had been fine riding it with the issue. However, when I picked up the bike it was no longer in working condition (the front wheel didnt even turn with the handlebars anymore). I brought it back so they could return it to how it was when I dropped it off and they refused because they didnt want to be liable for if I was hurt while riding the bike later. I found this frustrating because I brought in my bike in working condition, and now it is completely unusable. I would be careful bringing in any bike that needs any bigger repairs because they may refuse to return it to you if you choose not to get it repaired with them.
Visited this shop because their Fairmount location is having work done to their building. First time visit, it was a great experience taken through the process of assessing the bike and good turn around to get the bike fixed. Highly recommended! :-)
Great shop brought my used bike in for a tune up rides like new now Jenny was very helpful and knowledgeable Kyle put the finishing touches on. Very reasonable too.
Very friendly, non-snobby bikes shop! Great service! 🚴♂️♥️
Great service 👏 great hospitality
Great staff, patient and professional. Have a great deal in stock even with covid-19 shortages. Check them out!!
Very nice and helpful staff. I really like the shop because they never try to sell you one more than you need, but won’t let you leave on something dangerous. They also do a lot for the community which is awesome
My girlfriend and I rhode for dirt church Sunday and had a blast. She was able to rent a bike for free to try it out no pressure and loved it. Super fun casual ride through the Belmont. Picked up lots of trail knowledge and everyone got to Work in some technical skill practice with the log master and ride leader Dylan. Highly recommended to those trying to get some friends to try out mountain biking or just to get out there with a cool group and make friends!
I bought a hybrid bike from here and it was the best decision ever! They helped me pick a bike out that wasnt too expensive and happily installed any extras I bought free of charges. Ive gone back to have other extras added/get things fixed. Every staff member Ive dealt with is extremely knowledgable, friendly and a pleasure to deal with!Highly reccomend :)
Being a tourist from Montreal visiting Philly on bike, we needed their repair service (flat tire by a strange metal rod). We arrived at 7H00 PM and they just close. They opened the door for us and did the repair on the spot. Very friendly staff. Nice chat while doing the repair. Very glad we had this shop just beside our Airbnb loft.
Great, friendly, down to earth shop! Went on a Dirt Church ride for the first time last Sunday. Cant believe this exists! Thank you Brewerytown Bicycles and Dylan for the awesome experience and advice!
Ive been going to Brewerytown Bicycles the past two years to get my old bike serviced and every time they have been extremely helpful and quick with the tune ups and fixes. Theyre super helpful, fair priced and friendly! Absolutely suggest this location or the Fairmount Bicycles location when this is closed for off season!
Sister store of Fairmount, so this review is somewhat duplicated.Professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Will answer questions that might even take business away from them, which demonstrates ethical business practices we desperately need in this day and age.
Every time I’ve had work done on my bike they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure that my bike is at top condition. I got my tires replaced and they made my entire bike feel like new. Love the work that they do.
Great place to buy an entry Level bike or get a bike Serviced/fixed. Staff are super friendly and helpful
Super friendly and helpful guys. Best location to get a mountain bike in Philly, and a good quality rental. Thanks
Fast service but thats about it. I repeatedly told the repair man I didnt want to spend any more than the agreed amount on the bike. The next day I get a call from shop. The repair man tells me the bike is ready and the new price is almost double$$ the agreed amount. Not worth my time or my money.
They were very patient very helpful and very caring With prices you can’t beat on Bicycle repairs They are the best
Every time I went in for repairs the mechanics were very helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Brewerytown Bicycles!
Bought a new bike here and recommend them to my friends family and coworkers
Great place very professional good service
Always helpful.
Fantastic staff and great for bike repairs. Unfortunately the inventory in the store is very limited but they can order just about anything you want.
Great location and great service
I would only go if 19th and Girad is closed...but most of the time they are too busy and have a very limited inventory
Very good service! Very professional!
