A great ace to find odd comics. I always enjoy the feel of an established location. Great salesperson; very knowledgeable about the hobby.
Its got a claustrophobic cool kind of vibe, like you could find something neat buried amongst the Clutter. Though...I thought I found a good deal and they charged me full price, so you really gotta pay attention during checkout. They really seem to have a good mix of new and old. I wish I could have spent more time there, but we were just visiting the area.
Big fan of spending time in their basement.
Walk up to an unassuming warehouse entrance, past a yoga studio, & head down to the bunker-style entrance to get in to the store. There are a ton of comic books, trade & hardbacks, and narrow alleys. Not much room to move because of the *tons* of comics. A delight to browse.
It is a nice store
This is the first comics store I visited back in the 80s when I was a kid (when they were at their original location that was also on Burnside) and I also eventually ended up becoming a regular at their second location that they once had in Gateway, so I was glad to see they are still keeping it going. The current location can be a little hard to spot as it isn’t a storefront but occupies a basement space in a building. It is a small space but is definitely packed with product. The best thing about my experience when I visited with my son last month was the service we received. We were greeted when we entered and the employee (maybe the owner?) immediately came from behind the counter and took my son over to a rack of comics when my son asked him a question. My son has a disability, which can make customer service situations and communication tricky sometimes, but this experience was a good one.
So this one is strange. Its in a cluttered basement with no real signage as to whats new on shelves (found some 5 year old mags mixed with brand new ones). Owner is super nice though and had a decent selection of trades. Its finding what you want thats tough
I remember driving by this place for years before I started collecting mad magazine. Didnt knpw the name, remember where is was two weeks ago I took another route and pasted by turnded out it was only one block W of a street I drove by every weekend. Glade I respond this place a cool underground comic shop with great prices filled a few holes in my collection. If you love a good deal go here.
This place is stuffed to the gills! Hidden gems abound, found some glorious out of print difficult to find titles! Very helpful staff
Love this store, the owner is super cool and he has a ton of comics and memorabilia, I spend lots of time in here because its alot to look at. This is definitely a Diamond in the Rough Comic Store.
Cool spot, nice guy
Out of the way location and downstairs, but full of great comics and very knowledgeable owner! A lot of memorabilia too.
Great shop crowded head to toe with an assortment of comics, graphic novels, scifi and fantasy novels, posters, collectibles and toys. Really nice owners too...
Great selection of books. Place has been around a long time. Dont listen to the idiots who leave poor reviews.
Where I met the best of friends that Ill always miss.
Its like the inside of comic collectors head. Never ending shelves of media from the last 50 yrs. Has some current titles but you come here to find that one comic that means the world to you but most people look right past.
Great place grew my comic book collection there
Jam packed with an amazing selection of comic and sci fi/ fantasy novels. Friendly staff!
You know the basement in the first saw movie? Imagine it as a comic book store thats over crowded and unorganized and smells like feet. Bam! You got this place.
Back issues are in complete disarray. Looks more like a damp hoarder nest than a comic store. Went in and left within 5 minutes due to sensory overload and visible water damage in one corner of the store.
Home store, been a regular a long time. if the owner doesnt have it he probably knows who does.
Great spooky dungeon of endless treasures!!!
So many!
