Love this place! If you are ever considering going to a Record Store day this is the the store you need to be at. The wait will be long but they always have a good amount of stock and are always so organized and efficient. Well worth it. Customer service is top notch and a great experience 😃

Great shop. Super large and well organized. Nice mix of new and used. Strong Rock and Electronic music sections. Only complaint was that many of the artists I came to find had zero records in their sections. Possibly due to high traffic here.

When you visit this store you are visiting half of the record stores in Portland, in other words this is about 5 regular-sized record stores smashed into one, its pretty remarkable. Youll find something youre into here guaranteed, it might just take some searching, which is part of the fun. It took me 4 hours to speed-browse all the pop rock records. They have some cool niche sections, like a huge shelf of 7 inch singles, not to mention about a third of the store is CDs (remember those?). They have some iconic CD box sets youd pay a good deal more for on eBay. The used and new prices werent a steal but theyre reasonable, unless youre talking about their wall of sued CDs, those were remarkably cheap. If you visit one record store in Portland this is the one.

Cool record store. Minimal used selection. Employees turn up music to almost obnoxious levels if they see someone talking on the phone. Cool but also not.

This place is amazing.On top of it being a Museum its wide selection of movies make this place a fun and interesting spot to come too.The movie relics are beyond awesome.Even if you arent from Oregon this place is a must visit if you love cinema.

This is probably the biggest selection(from electronic to world)in music you can find in the Portland area. From vinyl to compact discs to cassettes. The only downfall is they are slightly overpriced on their vinyl selection.

Truly a magical place for any music lover. Their staff are friendly and will help you find anything youre looking for. The store is huge but still well organized. 10/10 would recommend stopping by, they have everything from LPs, box sets, CDs, Tapes, and VHS! Its almost impossible to leave here without finding something youll want want to add to your collection 👍🏾

Been going here since I was young. Still carries new and used vinyl as well as CDs. Great selection from all of the different periods of music, classical, jazz rock pop, hip-hop, metal. They have it all!

Music Millennium is one of my very favorite stores, with an atmosphere that is all its own. I always stop here when I am on the east side of town, and I never leave empty-handed. They have an excellent selection of many different types of music and artists, in a variety of formats...truly something for everyone. My only complaint is that the upper floor is difficult to access for mobility impaired people, but the staff is always very helpful, if you let them know what you are looking for. It is always like a treasure hunt in this store, and I never fail to leave with something that I had not been aware I was even looking for. It is so much more fun to come to this store and search for something special, than to just sit at home and order it on the computer. I am already looking forward to my next visit!!

Music Millennium had a good selection of music. I was looking for specific artists and their work but I was unable to find them. They had a small selection of Latin music but other than that I loved the people who work there.

I was able to find what I was looking for and about 20 other records that I would buy if I had more money. All sorts of records for people with good taste and generally a pleasant store to be in, just be aware the aisles are a tight squeeze and it can get cramped.

Reminded me of the early 90s when used music stores could still be found all around. Those were the days when a collector had to physically search for the music they collected. Then the internet came along and made the search less fulfilling. This place is large, diverse, and fabulously nostalgic for all the right reasons.

If I lived near this place I would never have any money. Great place to find the thing you didnt think they would have.

Music millennium honored their customers with amazing food, snacks and beverages, including some local bands playing on site. It was great to see everybody outside and enjoying themselves.

Moved to Portland 6 months ago and as an avid collector, of course I immediately sought out the local record stores. By far the best in the area. Friendly and helpful staff, good variety, huuuuge selection. If an album comes out, it’s probably on the shelf the day of release. In the time I’ve been here I’ve easily dropped over $1,000 in store and I won’t be stopping anytime soon. Much love to you guys and galls!!!

Music Millennium from my favorite record shops in terms of selection as well as knowledgeable staff. They have a computerized database, so they can look to see if they have something in stock. Theyre also always looking out for the customer. I ordered a special edition copy of Invisible People by Chicano Batman record, But because of a mix up it was sold out. To make it right they hooked me up with a different colored pressing as well as a SIGNED dust sleeve for no additional cost. Needless to say, yall have earned my business for life.

This store literally has every kind of music you can think of and a humongous variety of artists to choose from. The atmosphere was insanely awesome with all of the different types of art on the walls/building. They had every cd that weve been continuously looking for, its all very well organized with a decent sized staff. The parking lot is TINY, but dont let that scare you off from going into this gold mine of a store! Its most definitely worth the trip, I highly recommend!

I normally dont leave reviews, but I will now. I have been looking for a CD for quite some time. A year or so. I found it at Music Millennium! I have to admit that being a first-time customer and getting the lay of the land was weird, at first. Really happy that they had the CD for $5.

Its wonderful to know that places like this still exist. I was helping my other in law clean out some things which included a large amount of old records, 45s, cds and more. In Los Angeles, where I currently reside, its a whole big to-do to try and sell media like this and rarely do they take anything. So I wasnt sure if the effort would be worth it, but I was very pleasantly surprised!Call ahead and make sure there is a buyer in-store that day before lugging all your stuff. The buyer on duty was very friendly and took care in assessing what I had brought. In the end I was able to walk away with almost $100 for my mother in law which leads me to really trust the store. Sure, youd make (much) more if you took the time to sell everything yourself... but who has time for that??? I walked away feeling positive and not like I was getting hosed. Not only that, but I asked the buyer if the rest (that he didnt take) was goodwill material or if he had any suggestions, and he was honest with me and said to try Everyday Music, which I did and made another $7! So I really respect their honesty here.While I waited, I wandered around the LARGE store and its amazing what they have! Records, 45s, CDs, Dvds... even cassette tapes!!! They had some really rare stuff too. I almost walked away with a Beatles bootleg of Yellow Matter Custard, but this particular trip was about selling... not buying... But in the future, I know where to go! They had some pretty rare vinyl as well.All around very fun and brought me back to a nostalgic time when you could go into a record store and really explore and find some gems. Theres PLENTY to explore here!

Great selection of music.

Called ahead to make sure that they had the item I wanted. The person on the phone told me they did, and that it would be set aside with my name on it. Took my full last name and everything. When I get to the location, not only is my item not set aside with my name on it, but they dont even have a copy in the building!!! I only have one leg, and rely on mas transit!! Thanks for wasting a solid portion of my day!!! I use to like your store....UPDATE!!!! The owner of the store contacted me very shortly after writing this review!! They apologized, and sent me a gift certificate!!! I realize this store has been a Portland institution for a long time, and the owner certainly doesnt have to rely on my business...but, it was still important to them to make it up to me!!!! I really appreciate that!!!

Lots of selection. Not a huge selection for R&B and hip hop or classic jazz etc. I love rock, pop, and metal. . . but they could have some more selection for other genres. They did tell me they could order things for me online, but I can do that too hehe. Staff was helpful overall.

Great to have this long-time Portland icon benefiting from the new interest in vinyl. Be aware that there are not a lot of old cheap records, most of the vinyl is new pressings at new prices. Lots of inexpensive CDs and tapes in all genres.

This place got everything, pretty good selection of electronic records I just wish it was a bit easier to actually find specific artist or genres. They also have a fat dvd and blu ray collection with a small section for anime that I wish was bigger.
