I took my bike into the shop where I purchased it back in July due to an issue with the dropper post. They had the post for over a month and never fixed it, giving me the run around. The owner here asked what was going on and within 3 minutes had it fixed! The owner knows what he is doing and Michael, the sales guy, has great information regarding trails in the state and the product he sells.

I came here months ago with cash in hand to purchase a bike. When i found the bike i wanted to purchase I was told the following:1) it would be a week before I could even test ride a bike2) I could not purchase a bike until the next day after a mechanic looked it over.So heres the thing, I had money burning in my pocket, ready to spend, and i am told i cannot buy bike or test ride it, and that I would need to make a return trip if i was to purchase a bike THAT I COULDNT TEST RIDE. I live on the other side of the water and was pretty annoyed with this supposedly great customer service from here. Cuz from my perspective, that was NON-EXISTENT.So guess what? I went to a different bike shop and was able to purchase a bike ( AND TEST RIDE IT, DAMNIT) not a week from that moment, not the next day, but that VERY day.You fellas lost a customer for really really really bad customer service. If a person is coming to you to buy a bike, DONT keep putting up obstacles preventing person from purchasing a bike. Unfortunately for you, it only takes ONE BAD EXPERIENCE to completely turn a customer off to your services or products. I would say try better next time, but there WILL BE no next time with me.

My son saved his lawn mowing money to buy a real mountain bike. Bought on Tuesday at Coqui, picked up on Wednesday. Was supposed to go riding with a friend on Thursday, but bike fell off the bike rack while they were driving and did some repairable damage. Called Coqui. The owner said to bring it in right away. He put us to the front of the line, looked it over and fixed everything in a few minutes and sent us on our way with no charge. Unbelievably good customer service

I think if I had bought my bike anywhere else, I would feel so lost right now, but with them I know I am set!

Ive tried several Richmond area bike shops and remain totally impressed with Coqui! They simply out perform every other shop by every benchmark.

I walked in off the street with a wheel that looked like a potato chip. Even though they had a steady stream of customers, my wheel was fixed in a couple hours and at a reasonable price. I will be back when repairs or other items are needed for my bike!

Staff is very knowledgeable about the product theyre selling and are great at answering any questions. Good selection of both road, mountain, and cross bikes, and trails right out the front door for test rides (something most shops wont permit). Repairs are turned around quickly and are done right the first time. Cant go wrong bringing your business here.

This place is awesome! While Im a little biased because they are right across the street from me and it was a huge visual improvement over the abandoned building they took over they really are great. Im a tinkerer/DIY bicycle​ guy I always need small inexpensive things. They are always helpful and friendly even though I only spend a few bucks here and there. Coqui is an awesome bike shop and neighbor!!!

I have yet to experience a shop with the quick turnaround time Clint provides, whether it be a new rig or upgrading/replacing parts on a current bike, he gets it done professionally and is sensitive to keeping my wheels rolling regardless of whats going on... somehow he makes it happen! He is fully dedicated to the cycling community and his customers and it shows day in and day out! Highly recommend.

I have bought several bikes from Clint and am always pleased with the excellent level of service he provides. He goes out of his way to make sure that everything is perfect. He even supports the local racing community by setting up at cross races. He fixed my flat in 20 degree temperatures after a race to get me rolling again! You should definitely stop by for any cycling needs that you may have!

Great shop! Steven helped out this week to decide what the bike needs to be repaired, maintained and parts to be replaced to get it to ride. An evaluation was done quickly at the shop during 2 days. The bill $0. The different repairs, cleaning, and possibilities that were offered were great! The shop really helped to finally figure out the bike problems and what is needed to repair it correctly. The bike needs a new rear cassette and rear brakes. The part that was helpful was Stevens communication. Since Ill be fixing the bike it helped to talk with the experts.

Clint is the owner and mechanic. He is the best bike mechanic Ive ever known. If you ask him about upgrading a part he will let you know whether it is worth it. If he doesnt have something in stock he can get by the next day. He also has a great bike selection, road and mountain. You can test ride a new mountain bike on the trails across the street in Forest Hill Park.

Clint is a bike mechanic with no peers. He is the most knowledgeable person on any brand, model, new or old. His tune ups last longer, his wheels stay truer longer, and he can fit a road bike like a master tailor. I hope to buy another bike from him.

Recently had an electric bike wheel trued at this shop which is not an easy job. I will never go anywhere else. I tried a few other shops in Richmond for similar jobs and Im so glad I found this place. I will use them for all my bikes now.They had great craftsmanship. I also I checked it on my truing stand at home and am very impressed. They have good prices, and everything was done on time. On top of that the people where great to work with, friendly, honest and helpful. I wish more businesses were like this.

Im very impressed with this shop and the people who work here. Im a casual rider thats decided to start supplementing my public transportation commute with a bicycle. I got a bike tune up, repair, and had some tire liners installed here. I really liked the place, looks to be a family business with father and son. Really nice environment inside, when I asked questions about some equipment, I didnt feel pressured into a sell with getting the best of w/e. They had a lot of Giant brand bicycles at varying prices and some pretty good deals.This good experience got me more interested in some upgrades like clipless peddles and shoes.I will definitely be shopping from this place again really soon.

Came in from out of town and damaged my back wheel of my mountain bike. NO other shop in town had a wheel for me but Coqui. They fixed me up fast and got me back on my bike when no one else could. These guys were rad.

Coqui Cyclery generously offered support at the Xterra East Championship race that I attended last weekend. Daddy Frog changed a shift cable and bled my brakes in about 10 minutes on site at the race. Hes one of the best bike techs Ive ever seen. Thanks Daddy Frog!

Beat bike shop n town in my ever so humble opinion.

My previous RVA bike tech of 10 years got out of the industry, leaving me to find a new repair shop/tech going forward.I selected Coqui Cyclery based on their existing rave Google reviews and I was only pleasantly surprised to find that they lived up to them.I took in an older bike for repair and mentioned 3 issues I wanted to have fixed. When I went back in to pick it up they had fixed the gear shift issue is a novel/custom way, achieved the other 2 objectives, and went on to replace some other missing parts/bolts that I hadnt even mentioned.The bill was no more than they had originally estimated, and LESS than I would have guessed. Needless to say, I have a new bike shop! :-)

I needed new tubes and was initially told it could take a few hours which was odd. I received a call about 15 minutes after leaving that it was ready. Miscommunication Im guessing. They dropped the price a couple dollars for the inconvenience though so whatever. They seem like good guys and would recommend this shop to friends.

VERY nice people! Broke my bike chain, took it in and fixed it right away plus a couple other things. Plus, the owner is Puertorican which is where Im from, hence the name Coquí, after the frog.
