My disabled son bought glasses with a flexible frame. He fall asleep with his glasses sometimes and distorts regular glasses. The flexible glasses he bought had been even worse. The frame appears to be made from cheap Aluminum and bend very easily. For Eyes replaced them with another type/style of flexible frames for a charge of $50.00 since my son bought insurance. One lenses of the new glasses fell out after 2 weeks of wearing them. The impression I take away from this experience is For Eyes is selling substandard products.

Optical staff very underwhelming and not skilled. Mgr put out by customers and acts as if he wishes he were elsewhere. Can be helpful but needs better customer service skills. Not a place to go for any specialty lens. After 15 years with For Eyes, I cannot recommend and will take my business elsewhere.

We were traveling through Richmond when my husbands lens fell out of his glasses frame. We found For Eyes and just stopped in with no appointment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had his glasses fixed and we were on our way in less than 15 minutes!! I would definitely recommend For Eyes!

EDIT: I deleted my narrative and replaced it with the following advice: There are opticians and non-opticians working at this store. If you are getting a scrip filled or have any kind of problem, you need to deal with an optician. Dont be shy, just ask.

I just called to make an appointment at colonial heights, midlothian turnpike and even the 800 number for 2 hours now! Is it a holiday today? Really!

We went there for a pair of glasses around Christmas time for my daughter. She didnt like the selection of frame at her optometrist. The experience with the purchase was fine, nothing to write a book about though. They were having a management change, and might be going through a renovation at that time, so the selection was smaller, and the more expensive choices were not available, but thats okay for a 13-year old. What made me upset to date is the experience that I had when I called them back asking for a receipt to flexible spending reimbursement purpose. I spoke to a guy who I dont recall the name now, he apparently didnt like what I requested, and came up with some b*s* such as patient privacy? I told him I am patients father, and I only requested him mail the receipt to home address on file. He couldnt find a reason to say no, and asked me to hold. After 15 mins, I had to hang up and call again. This time, it was a lady, I explained to her the situation, and she passed the phone call to the guy. This time, he agreed to mail me the receipt on the same day (without apologizing for keeping me holding for that long). And guess what, I never received the receipt; and I didnt feel like to call them back again, and eventually I was able to figure out a way to get reimbursed.Very disappointed with the experience, and we probably will never go back to that location, or to any other For Eyes. Indeed I was asking for a favor, and any reasonable merchant should be willing to help. But this guy was not only rude but also lying to a customer? I had to call the optometrist for the receipt for the other kids glasses, and the phone call took literately 10 seconds and the receipt was in my mailbox the very next day.If For Eyes doesnt change the way they treat their customers, I can only see more management changes in the future!
