I had an overall great experience with Security Public Storage. This location had the best rates out of all the places I got quotes from (on Yelp) and everybody I dealt with was super helpful. Cassie was very accommodating when I needed to change the size of the unit and the gentleman in the office was wonderful as well. I wish I could remember his name! He let me take a look at the unit before I filled out paperwork to make sure it worked for me, which I appreciated, and was also really helpful when I was having trouble with my gate code. He resolved the issue quickly and I was in and out of there with everything I needed done before I knew it. Thanks guys!

No problem here I like it cuz Ive had other storages in the past and my storage was items were stolen but this place no problem I will highly recommend to anyone whos looking for storage the price was good they had a special for the size then I have the largest one and the price is great and special for 4 months and then it goes back to regular price but I like it clean the office people are very helpful and very nice

The customer service is excellent. The agents that helped me knew just what I needed and was patience with me. I had 3 different storages and needed to combine them into one. Because of their knowledge I was am the get the right size and saved $200 a month. I recommend using the Security Public Storage in Richmond located across the street from Walgreens on San Pablo

Just finished my initial check in for my storage unit and it was easy and quick. Also the location was very clean which is always a plus.

Melissa and Jordan have been very professional, considerate, and prompt in their service. When a glitch in the entering code had occurred because of me changing units they rectified it immediately. Melissa always respectfully greets me by my last name (rare customer service these days). And I appreciate their flexibility in contract negotiations regarding changing storage units. As many people in the Bay Area, I struggled with rental prices and I was forced to moved out from my apartment, my sister had her storage unit at the Security Public Storage in Richmond, I found the location very convenient. The best of everything was the support I received from the staff. Melissa and Jordan helped me a lot with the process of renting the unit. They are always on the top of every need and concern related to your storage. They have excellent customer services! I really recommend this location and all the storage services they have available.

Right away I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the office staff was. She showed me a number of units and gave me advice about what to look for. We rented a 10 x 10 unit. It was very clean. The whole facility is clean and very well maintained. It is even nicely landscaped.

This is the best storage facility in the area, very clean, easy to get to and great staff! Muskie is a no non sense manager who makes sure the facility is secure and youre supposed to be on the property. If youre not he escorts you off the property. Makes me feel secure, lots of cameras and clean restrooms. His assistants are great too especially Ms. Kristi. Cool Beans.

I would have rather gave no stars if that was an option. Getting in was beautiful. The women manager was super friendly and helpful. I loved her and was going to write a praising review of the place. Then I went to check out. Man did things change. On my last day I went to pay and sign the paperwork. No one was in the office so I called left a message at 3:20 that my storage was empty but no one was in the office. I received a phone call back after five that if I didnt drive back right then before 6:00 I would be charged another day. I was told by Steve that it was my fault for not waiting for someone to come back to the office. He was rude and disrespectful when I started asking him questions about this he started raising his voices and getting aggressive. I asked him to calm down and said he didnt have to get so mad. I WISH I NEVER GAVE THIS COMPANY MY MONEY!!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED! IF THIS IS THE KIND OF EMPLOYEE THEY HIRE DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!!!

I love that place workers go out of their way to find you the best deals and they have thee best deals compared to a few around the time in town. Staff was was amazing Richard from Hayward and a manager from Daly City were great! Everything was fast and simple!

The management here is great! I came into the office near closing time and asked to view a unit (no appointment). Muskie was friendly and patient and showed me a couple of units and helped me choose the right one. He went through the options and was honest about the pricing (I didnt feel like he was trying to sell to me or anything - He genuinely wanted to help me with my storage needs). The prices here are competitive and the service is on point. Five Stars for sure.

My friend has a unit here, i just helped him move out a few weeks ago. The managers were very nice to us even though were moving out, they invited us back if we ever needed storage again. I personally never stored anything anywhere before, so it was all new to me, helping out my friend here. Seems like a nice safe place to keep your things if you dont have room at home.

I have been a customer of the Richmond Security Public Storage for more than four years. I started with a small unit and then moved to a larger unit. It took me a few extra days to move to the larger unit and the manager was kind enough to give me that extra time without charge, which I really appreciate.Unlike a different storage facility in Walnut Creek, they do not raise the rent here every six months and claim their costs have increased.The staff is friendly and competent and in fact there is not a continual turn-over of staff as there was at that Walnut Creek facility, which probably exploited its staff as much as it did its customers.I mentioned that the staff is friendly. I used to have a unit with a different company in off highway 80 and Central. Their manager once complained to me that I often left the facility just before closing. I pointed out that (1) I left before closing as was my right and (2) she had never said a friendly word to me in the five years I had been there.I would strongly recommend this facility for long or short-term storage.And, by the way, it is clean and the facilities and building are kept in good shape.

This is a convenient and clean facility that weve just started using. Muskie has been extremely helpful and has provided us with extraordinary service! I was referred to this site by a family member. Once there I found the staff to be quite friendly. Muskie is my rep. He was quite knowledgeable about storage size and furniture accommodations. He helped me select the right size for my needs. The site is very clean and safe (i.e. cameras, code entry/exit). I have entered at night and felt quite safe. Access hours are a plus and also a plus is the moving van they have for rent. I would recommend this storage facility to others.

The facilities: very clean. They recently refreshed the paint. One thing I dont see a lot of is dirty dust and webs. Dont get me wrong, you will see it, its inevitable, but not like ick you dont want to touch your lock type. They do have individual alarms and if one gets set off they do come around to check it out.The people: friendly, both office staff and others storing stuff.Personal experience: Weve stored our stuff here for 2 years now​. 2 units, 1 inside and 1 outside. However weve had stuff in storage for over 10 years at numerous places. This last big storm brought some damage and rats to the units. Ken, Janice, Paul & Ron have been absolutely wonderful and helpful in getting us out of the damaged unit and into a new, clean one.Overall: You can really tell a place by the cleanliness of their bathroom. This bathroom is spotless. Id rather use their bathroom than Targets. If something is dirty, tell the office and they get on it right away. The only downfall is the rent increases. When we first signed on they swore they hardly ever raise prices but weve gotten a notice every year :/ I guess its to be expected. Everyone else does it.

Early morning and late night access. Cameras all over and its 2 story. And pretty affordable for the sizes of the units.

Place is ok, well maintained for the most part but is not very convenient in many ways ! to start, the code pad locations to get in and out of the facility are really uncomfortable to get to and are located in odd ways, they try to impose a one way traffic (which is not stipulated on the contract b the way ) and that makes it a pain not only because of the pad locations and if you are given a unit close to the gate, they want you to go all the way around anyway ! they dont do it in a right way ! I would not recommend this place ! I will vacate soon !
