My girlfriend and I needed a new car since our old one was not even close to passing inspection. I did some searching online and found Motor City Auto so we we made the trip to see what they could do for us as we only have zero to fair credit history.The guys there were extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to get us into a 2014 Jeep Patriot that fit what we could afford for both the down payment and the monthly payment. I would highly recommend Motor City Auto to anyone looking for a good quality car on a strict budget.

If there was an option for no stars I would have chosen that. I bought a truck from here. When they sold it they said AS IS but would help with any repairs within a month or 1000 miles. I called several times stating there was an issue with the truck before the 1000 miles. I was told to call the repair shop. They referred me back to sales. Long story short they LITERALLY SOLD ME AN UNSAFE VEHICLE and the place is on Rt. 125 where they do the inspections . They kept giving me the run around. So I took it and had it looked at some place else. Both FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS were bad and the axle on one side needed to be replaced. Not to mention the truck NEEDED 16 SPARK PLUGS. Some genius only replaced the top 8 so this was the original reason the truck wouldnt run to begin with. I asked for them to reimburse some, not all of the money I had to drop into it since the truck was stickered and very unsafe to drive.The owner refused and the salesman said he tried to help me but the owner wouldnt budge.STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.

I am absolutely changing my review. Yes they got me a car and they did it very fast and I was grateful but now exactly one year later I am not grateful. In the last 8 months I have replaced a headlight the air conditioner all four brakes and rotors and now the clutch. Now even a year has cost me $1600 and when I bought the car I was told it was in excellent shape. I hate being taken advantage of especially since I am a woman. This is absolutely disgusting and I will make sure no one ever buys from these guys again! If you have a family do not buy from them the many times we broke down I’m my children were in tears! Absolutely disgusted!

Although I have not purchased a vehicle with the sales department, the service department is exceptional. I moved up to the area a couple years ago from Boston, and it took me about 18 months of trial and error to finally find a repair facility that I trusted to bring my vehicles to. Ryan and Travis have been nothing but extremely helpful every time I bring in a car to get checked out, and don’t try to oversell me on repairs. They always do their best to accommodate me, usually on short notice, and I must say that I am extremely happy to have finally found a good repair shop that I can trust.

I bought a car from Motorcity, aka Gary’s Junk Yard, three months ago and just had the alternator replaced. Thank goodness for the extra $3k I spent for a warranty. After this experience I totally understand why people have such a bad opinion of sales people. Gary is the quintessential car salesman. ‘My wife drove this car’ - yeah Gary, I’m sure. Trash.

I needed a car really bad and found motor city on Google and decided to give them a shot and I am so glad I did. They were so friendly and helpful could not have had a better experience . Logan and Jen were amazing to work with and they helped me find the perfect car and the payments I needed. If you need a car go here 1st and you wont go any where else.

It saddens me to give MotorCity 1 * however I got two different vehicles from this dealership the first time shame on me I didnt know that much about vehicles or even how to buy one or get a loan. But when I rolled over $5,000 on to a new vehicle which that new vehicle was way out of my price range and for people who were looking at my income they knew that I could not afford a bumper sticker on the car especially if it broke down. I was fully insured and was told that I had gap insurance I mean after all they gave me gap insurance for my 2005 Chevy Cobalt that I paid $5,000 to fix but it never got fixed. Now you dont get gap insurance usually unless youre having money rolled over to a new loan from a previous loan like my case. But I did not have gap insurance and I was on Salmon Falls Road one foggy morning trying to miss a deer and hit the guardrail and totaled my car the car that I was paying $23,000 for. 5000 of that was from my previous car The cobalt. So needless to say I lost my 2015 Volkswagen Passat super turbo 4-cylinder all wheel drive one of the best cars I ever had the chance to drive, even though I couldnt afford it, I loved it! I took good care of it. But my insurance would only cover 9 thousand dollars I still all together owed 13 I had a 720 credit score 5 days later my credit score was 5 40 and I am now unable to get a car at all all my hard work is gone. However Jeremy who is the salesman there now he used to work in the service center great guy down to earth hell tell you what you need to know also Travis the mechanic at the service center great guy knows what hes doing and takes his time when it comes to your vehicle its unfortunate but I have to say this because its true. I tried to find my vehicle after they towed it so I could pull out the paperwork that showed that I had gap insurance but for some reason the car had magically disappeared. It just doesnt make sense to me, you do not get gap insurance unless youre getting money rolled over from a previous loan I thought my gap insurance that I had for two years with the Cobalt was going right on to my Volkswagen but they knew that I didnt know that, I wish the best for their business and I hope that they learn from the mistakes they do make I know its a business and they got to make their money but hopefully they will do things a little thoroughly and talk people through things better. I have sent over 7 people there throughout the for years that I have dealt with them. A couple had issues a couple didnt its kind of a hit or miss just be knowledgeable but other than that those two guys I named they were great guys and they did what they could for the customer

My experience was amazing. After being told I wasnt going to be approved for a loan from several different dealerships motor city came through for me. They helped me find a car that fit all my needs and my budget. They took the time to explain everything to me and had several different cars for me to look at. The original car I looked at had a payment that was a little pricey for me so they came up with a different car that I love even more. They were even helpful enough to offer to pick me up to get my new car since my old one had died. All in all my experience was a great one and I recommend them to everyone I know.

What a great dealership from our sales guy Dan to the owners our experience with motor city could not have been less painful. This is a no BS place to buy a car we just drove off with a 2009 Toyota Camry. Our credit situation frankly sucked and these guys made it happen. I walked in my daughter saw the car she always wanted and an hour later with a trade everything was done. The finance manager even told us to make sure money was in account from old car because we paid weekly and it could take a few weeks to catch up so our credit was not effected by it that was awesome . Gary, Michael and Logan were amazing. I went in there not sure if I would be able to get a new car. My car had broke down, I did not have a down payment and did not think it would be possible to get a car. I looked at several and decided on a 2011 Dodge Journey because I felt it was in my price range. Gary came to me and asked if I had looked at any of the newer vehicles and I had told him no. I went home with a 2015 Ford Escape with low miles and a payment I could afford! I will never buy another car anywhere other than at Motor city. The even came and picked up my car and Michael spent over 2 hours educating me on the sync system in my new car! Thank you, Motor city!!!!!

My sales person was really nice, but there were a lot of empty promises made, and after spending more than 2 hours there on two separate occasions, I left without a vehicle, but with a promise for a return call which never came. Its really too bad because they seemed nice, just no follow through at all. I ended up getting a really nice car elsewhere for the payment I was looking for.

I will say this: theyre good at getting you into a car if you have bad credit.HOWEVER they have TERRIBLE communication skills between the 3 of them that work there. We were constantly told one thing by Jeremy and then he would tell us another thing that Logan had told him and then go back on that again to tell us something completely different by the owner Gary. It was a mess. When we went in to sign the paperwork, they needed my husbands ID info. Logan asked if he had any other ID besides the state ID he had. My husband said no. He said oh that will be fine, just get us your up to date license WITHIN 30 DAYS. Great, it was the same time frame Geico needed. We went on our merry way and then about 4 days later they called and told us that we needed to bring the car back until my they had my husbands license info. This was during MLK weekend so we went all weekend without a vehicle and my mother in law had to take time off of work to bring my husband to the DMV. To make the whole thing worse we were told several different days of when we had to drop it off. First it was Sunday night and then it was No the owners said Saturday Oh well now Logan said Friday night It was a sh*t show, for lack of a better term.All in all it was the most messed up experience Ive ever had. Jeremy was VERY nice and tried his best to give us accurate information but it was very hard. Unfortunately, Ill still never go back and I HIGHLY recommend NOT going to this place. They DO NOT know how to properly run a business.

My credit is not so great. Came down and filled out an application and was approved, regardless. The staff was great! There was low hassle/pressure which was great because a lot of dealerships are pushy. Mike is the best salesperson Ive ever worked with. I had no way of getting down to the dealership and they sent a sales consultant 2 hours away to pick me up and bring me down here to test drive my vehicle! They sent me home with a new car and even filled the gas tank for me! This is the best place I have ever gone for a car, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. After jumping through hoops to try and get an auto loan through my bank for two weeks I was denied. Broken, and looking one last time... I came across Motor City Automotive. From the beginning, it was painless. The website was easy to manage, and informative. When I left it was dark, they were closed, and I left in a new car.My credit score was not very good, and my income compared to what I pay out is minimal, but somehow these people got me approved and I now have a great vehicle that is safe and I can help my grandson learn to drive. My old vehicle, although it was legal was not safe anymore. It was old, loud, had many things leaking underneath and I hated driving anywhere. I was afraid to go on the highway with it. Anyhow, thank you so very much for all of your hard work. I LOVE my car.l feel like a million bucks driving around. I enjoy driving again and I can even drive at night which was not an option in my old car. I couldnt see.I would suggest that anyone looking to get a newer vehicle or even your first one to go to Motor City. If you are like me and youre credit is not great you may have a high interest rate at first. Just pay on time and refinance in 6 months. Its worth the sacrifice, believe me.I do not think you could find another place that would have the employees who work as hard as they do here.Thanks to all of you. Great Group of Guys, when I was busy at work Ryan took the time to text me so I could stay updated. When there were financing issues because the Jeep did not have a title in NH, they held the Jeep until we could get private financing.

So I bought a car 11/2015 with the odometer reading 84,511. I was told that the car had just came on the lot and new tires were put on the car by their service team. I just went to get my car inspected today (odometer reads just above 88,000) and my car failed inspection because of the tires... You would think that brand new tires would last more than 4,000 miles. This isnt right. :( They were very helpful in the process, but it doesnt seem to add up as to how brand new tires fail state inspection 4,000 miles later when Im a single mom who just drives to work and school.. Not like I beat on the car or off road it or anything.
