Chris was extremely helpful in getting me a new phone. He was managing three different people at once all with different needs one of which the customer only spoke Spanish. Chris’s helpful personality and bilingual speech helped expedite 3 different customers issues in under an hour. He was able to multi task and make sure he helped each customer including myself with every question and suggestion. Chris was a rock star and I’m glad I decided to get my phone from him.

I was having a bad day. My iPhone 6+ came out of the mount on my motorcycle at 50mph. Gone for good. When you go to most retail stores these days you go with low expectations and expect to be frustrated and angry.Fortunately my experience at the Verizon store was all positive. Anthony was knowledgeable, helpful and a pleasure to work with. He gave us good advice and got me set up with a new iPhone 12 in 20 minutes. I left the store smiling.

My latest visit to this store broke my heart. I had been a customer for nearly 20 years under the prior ownership, because of the consistently excellent and caring customer service. Unfortunately, those days have disappeared with the prior owner. My first visit under Russell’s ownership will likely be my last. The one employee in the store demonstrated no interest in helping me out. First, no repair services available. So then I asked about any promotions for a potential replacement. He said something about the G20 and another phone, but neither were in stock. The only other alternative he was willing to offer meant a 50% increase in my monthly bill, again, not helpful. I asked if the phones that were out of stock would be back in. The answer was that he’d have to order them. It was as if I asked him to cut off his right hand. I guess he just did not want to sell me a phone unless I paid $150/month for a plan, and that just was not going to happen. It might have been nice of he had told me more about the phones he had to order, but he obviously wasn’t interested. It’s too bad Russell didn’t adopt the customer service philosophy of Freedom Communications. I’m done with these guys, they don’t even come close.UPDATE: Received the standard, somewhat automated reply from Russell that they fell short. Well, yes you did, and seem to care about as much as your employee. Guess it comes from the top.

I WAS GOING TO PHONE THE STORE TODAY AND REPORT THE SERVICE ON SUNDAY WAS BEYOND OUTSTANDING! I NEED MY PHONE IN WEST NEWBURY AS A WATER COMMISSIONER AND MY SON LIVES IN SALEM. THE YOUNG MAN I DEALT WITH FULFILLED MY NEEDS BY REPLACING A LOST PHONE PLUS MY STORED INFO. IT TOOK A LOT OF NOHOW & PATIENCE & IM COMPLETELY SATISFIED.

I like that this location is kept clean, sanitized and germ free. The staff follows the COVID-19 virus federal laws to keep all of the customers and staff safe. Tyler is the best Customer Service Representative ever! He is attentive, polite, respectful, greets with a smile and he is knowledgeable about all of the Russell Cellular products, and has the answers to questions. He has exceptional people skills. I rate Russell Cellular with a ten (10) being the very best.

I decided to change phones and was pleasantly surprised with a nice deal by Verizon but not before I had Anthony check a few different plans & phones. He answered all my questions and I shall recommend this store to my friends.

Henry was a great partner in choosing my new iPhone 11 Pro Max. The one I wanted had to be ordered but it came on exactly the day he said it would. When I went to pick it up it only took about 15 minutes to upload everything from my other phoneI told a friend about it and he too, went in today and bought a new iPhone 11 promax. A great phone, and a great company, I recommend Henry if you want great service.Also, this company had all of the COVID-19 protocols in place. I felt very safe there.

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. I went in because my iPhone 6S wouldnt turn on. The regional manager Jeff was more than happy to help me and informed me of my phones problem. After receiving a second opinion I determined I needed a new phone. He suggested the Google Pixel 3 (his personal phone) and compared it to his work phone (Iphone). As a lifelong Apple user I was hesitant to make the change but he helped explain the differences between the two and put very little pressure on me. The store does not work off commission so there was no pressure or uncomfortable sales pitch which I really respect as a consumer. He even looked up my plan to see if he could save me more $ and took his time looking for the best promotion w/the phone. It came with a $50 gift which I used to get headphones. However I realized after I got home I would rather have chosen the wireless charger and returned to talk to the store manager Tyler (who was a big help the day before as well). He exchanged the gift for me and does an excellent job creating a very positive and comfortable environment. If you have Verizon and your phone is giving you a problem/its time for an upgrade, do the right thing and come here!

My firm had done business with Freedom Communications over the years, which is now Russell Cellular. It was time for a new phone for our VP and he met with the store manager, Tyler Short, who provided him with an excellent level of service. Tyler made the phone change-over run smoothly and also set our business account up to receive discounts we had not been taking advantage of. Our other users look forward to working with Tyler/Russell Cellular when eligible for their upgrades.

My phone repeatedly (ever 2 seconds) is asking for a new password and not usable. Come here we arent doing any tech support, you have to call verizon me: I dont have a working phone so I cant call. well we arent doing tech support and Ive never heard of that. Great service

I went to the Salem store tonight to get help with my phone, the gentleman there couldnt have cared less about my problem, I was having a problem with the ringtone, I couldnt get the volume button to move in my settings, he did something and it worked I asked him what he did and he just mumbled something to me, I had questions about some of my apps and he didnt show me how to delete what I wanted deleted. Wont go there again
