Extremely condescending staff. Whether it was true incompetence or deceit I’m not sure, but their sales staff:1. Was unable to provide or determine basic financing details on a Hyundai-advertised deal. “I didn’t know Hyundai advertised money factors!”2. Could not explain in clear terms why their financing offer differed from the manufacturer offer. “This is just what the system gave me”3. Dismiss any evidence that their calculations don’t align with advertised offer when presented otherwise. “Lease math is complicated, that’s why we invested in these systems to do it for us.” (when talking numbers on paper) “We don’t go off of other website’s calculators” (when looking at commonly used lease calculating tools)Feel free to go here if you have as little knowledge about finances as they hope you do, because that’s how they’ll treat you.If you want a transparent discussion of numbers, a dealer that will honor manufacturer promotions - shop elsewhere.To their minor credit, they were very kind and friendly until the numbers came out.

I believe it was one of my best purchase ever mostly due to the Sales team willingness to help me out with all the key issues such as financing, getting good deal, warranties and above the car that I wanted.Cody Blanchard is the guy you need to check in with if you want the whole process to be seamless, responsive, fast and easy going.Itd be more appealing if Capitol Hyundai accepted ACH payments as opposed to a debit/credit transaction. That had me do another round trip to the dealership. Despite of multiple round trips, I was able to wrap up the entire process in less than 6 hrs.Overall, the whole experience was 10/10 for me and I highly recommend Capital Hyundai and their amazing team.

I came in last week to test drive the new 2021 Santa Fe. I was looking to begin leasing and this was the last test drive of the day before my final decision the next day. Cody helped us navigate, explaining things that this Lease special had. Overall, I had a pretty good experience. I know being at a dealership can be tedious, especially if you dont have a deal already lined up. I did, however, and Tommy assisted me and gave me a great deal on a 2021 Sonata N Line. We were able to negotiate a fair price and he came through. Tommy deserves 5/5 stars, however, I had to wait about 3 hours to get everything sorted. I understand they were understaffed in the financing department due to Covid most likely, but, it was still frustrating waiting about an hour waiting to be called in and about an hour or so waiting for my credit to be approved. I guess it could be worse. This was my first dealership experience where I was getting a car and it was pretty much what I expected, although I was expecting more of a 1-2 hour wait, but I guess its pretty normal. Nevertheless, I am happy with my vehicle, deal, sales rep, and the dealership.

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I want to take the time to say thank you to Tommy Tan my product specialist who helped me out. I came in just looking at cars and was blown away with the service they gave me and walked away with a new car! He was straight to the point, took care of me and made sure he gave me the best service and experience. I highly recommend this place and him!

Though this seems petty, the car wash was broken and as my expectation was not set in advance, receiving my car back dirty was a disappointment. Also, a sensor had gone bad, and in replacing it, the service person left the fuse box cover off. So, I had to replace it. Again, not big things but, when you pay close to $1600 for a 30000 servicing and replacement of an inexpensive part ... well, disappointing. I did send an email to the dealership manager. After no response and several emails asking for a five star review I called and left a message. He returned my call. He apologized and said that they were only human. I agree. We are all only human. He sent an email offering a detailing if I wanted to drop off my car next week. I work and so do the people who would give me a ride so, this is not convenient. If he wanted to delight me, he should have asked what I would prefer. Here is it -- as I already know I will need tires in November, offer me 10% or so, and honestly, I would have been happy. Now, I will shop around for tires.

Ridiculous customer service provided here, meaning spectacular! Open doors for you. Have cars ready and aired out if appt is made. Always have other options available with shortage of vehicles. Dont have to ask for water, given upon search. Explains vehicle features very well even if used or new. Process of buying is a lot more shortened. Always concerned on my needs and on how my time is valuable. Very up front and explains disclosures very well. Internet specials are available usually 1st of the month on select vehicles. Managers are great when working with you and lenders. Prices are very competitive even with chip shortage. Some mark ups but not as bad as other similar dealerships in the bay area. They keep most prices near MSRP This place gets very busy and I can understand why; all the sales people are super friendly. The best warranties Ive ever seen by manufacturer. Would highly recommend Lou Cabrera! He made all the above happen. Very sought after by other customers too, so make an appointment to get him!

Andrew Ballerini (who goes by AJ) was an outstanding salesperson on our recent acquisition of a new Hyundai Kona EV. We were considering either a new 2021 or 2022 model, and AJ responded very quickly to our requests for more information and sale workups of each model. Once we decided which model to purchase, and this was all done by phone and/or online, AJ sent us the forms to fill out online which greatly reduced the time that we had to spend at the dealer finalizing the transaction. AJ knew the car well, and was able to point out certain features that were new to me and my wife (we had previously owned a 2019 model of the same car, so were already familiar with most of the operating features). As we could not drive the car home, AJ personally delivered it to our house in Berkeley the next morning. We would highly recommend AJ for your purchase of a Hyundai automobile. We particularly appreciated his straightforward no BS approach.

Very unhappy experience : I went to repair the front light. When I took my car home, I found that they break my rear brake light . I tuned back to talked to him he didn’t admit it.said that was original broken.. I will pay for it. I don’t trust this store in San Jose !

I have had the worse customer service experience ever and regret doing business with Capital Hyundai. I purchased my vehicle back in 2019 and did so because my previous vehicle was also a Hyundai and I was happy with it. I purchased the maintenance plan and brought my vehicle in for a standard maintenance check. They discovered a minor coolant leak and told me the part had to be ordered and the car was still ok to drive. My initial appointment was at the beginning of July and they (Tray Nichols) told me the part had to be ordered and it would take a couple of weeks. (ok no problem). I sent an email to Tray that night to remind him of our conversation. I followed up two weeks later with an email and numerous phone calls (left many messages) and never heard back. I sent a few emails after that and still no response. I continued to leave messages on their voicemail as well (Im sure they got tired of hearing my many messages). I ended up emailing the GM (Khaled Aldada) in hopes of getting a response and of course I didnt. It is now past a month since my car was brought in for service and I still have not received a response back. But i did so kindly received an email from Capital Hyundai San Jose reminding me that my car needs to be serviced and states I declined the service! Nice try at trying to cover you a**, I never declined the service, you did! At this point I will NEVER buy another Hyundai and will be reaching out to Corporate to get my car serviced which by the way I am paying for monthly as part of my maintenance package.******Oh and they told me they had no rentals available either, sorry not my problem. If my car needs to be repaired and I purchased a maintenance package, you should be figuring that out for me, your customer!

Yesterday, First time Ever I brought Hyundai in my life. My experience was horrible compare to other Purchases I have done in the past. I knew exactly what I want, so I called ahead talked to Lou, he made all the arrangements and deal was pretty much done over the phone. when I got there Lou took care of me very well. when it came to finance, those guys were rude, unprofessional. We met a Sales Representative (Forgot His Name) and he answer our questions. He said I should do test ride and we agreed. We point 2 Cars, a Red and Blue, that caught our Eye but didnt like interior. He went out back to pull one out but came back and he couldnt find the keys to one car blocking them. He said dont worry, there a 3rd Car Exactly the Same to the ones we talked about and just came. He pulled it up and it was Gray, we didnt even see it anywhere on the grounds. We took for a Test Ride. Its Grey on Grey, Grey Rims with a Grey Interior, looking Super Sporty. When we got back, we ran our credit just to see where we were at. Everything came back great, then He introduced us to Jason, a Manager. Jason is Great Man, we talked a deal and if we like a car. We point out this hidden Grey Car. We work out number, then he came back with an greater deal. The both of them went above and beyond. We ended driving away in New Car.
