Just purchased a vehicle from Capitol Volkswagen and Lori Campbell. I cannot say enough good things about Lori. We arrived late on a Sunday night, and she stayed with us until our deal was done. I know a good sales person makes you feel like they are fighting for you to get a good deal. Lori found discounts we were entitled to without us having to ask for them. We totally feel that she went above and beyond for us, and continues to advocate for us after the sale. The vehicle has some hard water spotting issues that we didn’t notice. She provided us a car so we could go eat dinner while we waited our turn in financing. A much welcomed kindness after a long day of car shopping. This is the 40th car I have purchased since I began driving in 1974. 20 of those previous purchases were new cars of all different makes ranging from economy cars to high end luxury cars. The buying experiences have been both satisfactory and not so satisfactory ! All of the previous dealers showed little appreciation of my time and my money. Most of the dealers tried to oversell both on the vehicle options and add ons, it was always a battle to get a fair deal on vehicle price, trade in value and they always tried to offer not the best financing rates up front, until after lengthy negotiations on my part finally got me a deal I was willing to accept. It seemed like it was the normal practice in the Auto Sales Industry to try to take advantage of the customer wherever they could. In short, almost always an unpleasant experience.UNTIL my recent purchase of a new VW Jetta from Capitol Volkswagen of San Jose, CA and dealing with Samuel Leyva who is a real professional sales consultant that knows his product and how to work with a customer fairly and respectfully, I’m still amazed of the outstanding customer service that he and his dealership provided me.The whole sales process took about 1/2 hour. I was browsing online and came across Capitol Volkswagen and saw a car that I liked and sent an email to the dealer, inquiring availability and if they could deliver to my home on Visalia, CA which is about 250 miles away.Within a few minutes, I received a reply from Samuel Leyva and I explained to him that I was a truck driver currently in route to Canada and was on my break in Montana and that it would be more convenient for me to conduct business by email and text. Well after a few texts and a phone call later I had become the proud owner of a new VW Jetta !!!Samuel is a very professional and honest person to deal with. I recently purchased a car from capital Volkswagen. I was very happy with my sales person, Andrew. Unfortunately, the transaction has been a problem from the start. It took almost two weeks to get the paperwork to purchase the car and I was paying the asking price. It seems that since I was buying the car from out of state, the finance department was not interested in my purchase. Once I finally got the paperwork I was shipped the car with no temp tag and no hard copies of the signed paperwork. I’ve called the dealership several times and have been ignored or given unfulfilled promises by every sales manager I have spoken to. I was promised a payment for the problems with the paperwork, I’ve never received it. I was told I would be issued a temp tag, I’ve received nothing. I’ve called several times and all empty promises. I’m left with car that I’m paying for but can’t drive and all of the EMPTY PROMISES from this dealership.Unfortunately, my experience with Capital Volkswagen was horrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER.

Just bought an ID.4 from online that was delivered and serviced for sale. The sales person that helped us (Samuel) was outstanding. He helped us through the weeks to get the right car and options explaining all the bells and whistles. Keep in mind that there is a learning curve with EVs so a patient sales person’s help is needed. The paper work was explained well to us by Samuel and there were no hidden surprise fees. Best car buying experience ever.

Had my car in to replace battery. Battery died within warranty, car wont start. Brought battery to dealer for replacement. Was told the battery itself is not enough for warranty, battery needs to be inside the car and towed to the dealer to be acceptable for warranty check. If you are reading this, you can be the judge of whether this is realistic for a simple battery replacement. VW car is good, but Capitol VW is a joke.

I’d gotta say this was one of the best dealerships I’ve been too. Samuel was such great help, took care of me over the phone explained everything very well, when I arrived to the dealership he took care of me got me the best deal I could get for my trade in and I walked out of there a happy camper! One of the sales manager here, Elsayed Abdelbaky, is very rude. I have never written a google review, but I was so speechless at how this man treated us, I had to come on here to warn everyone. As a customer, you go into a dealership expecting some sort of “good”customer service (at least just basic manners)... Elsayed Abdelbaky got so heated and mad at us for something he had a miscommunication about with his employee! It did not involve us at all - we were only explaining to him what the sales rep (his employee) we were speaking to had told us, but he started yelling at us. It’s very unprofessional to yell at customers, especially for something we did not do. The whole process took two days and we were lied to about the price and the rate multiple times throughout the two days. Juho (sales rep/product specialist) and the finance director treated us very kindly, but not the sales manager, Elsayed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ELSAYED ABDELBAKY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BUY YOUR CAR PLEASE.

They are incorrect in their diagnosis. I went in wanted to do specific services. I asked them a side question in case they knew/ if they can check while doing the services I requested. However, I wanted to get these specific services done! They charged me for diagnosis and did only 1 of the services. I had to wait for 5 hours on top of that. I definitely won’t be going there again.

I got my dream car thanks to an amazing representative named Samuel! I scheduled a test drive with the dealership and he called me to confirm within an hour of when I scheduled the appointment. He was extremely polite and worked with me to get the best deal I could for me to get it all on my own without the need for a co-signer! The finance person who helped me named Byron was so helpful and nice as well! I was able to walk out with my dream car after being at the dealership for a few hours tops. The only hiccup Ive experienced is the registration for my car hasnt been sent to me yet, and I had a police officer kindly inform me to check in with the business side of the dealership. I emailed Byron and he quickly got back to me insuring that he would contact the business side on Monday. An amazing dealership overall and definitely the best dealership experience I have had.

Went in for a battery replacement on my car worth about $10k at the time. They come back with around $5k in repairs because my car is in DIRE need. I went to another place and they couldnt find anything wrong. That was 3 years ago, and all the cars needed since then was oil changes...

I purchased my ID.4 First Edition from Capitol VW. It was my third EV - I have a Tesla, Nissan Leaf. You know what? ID.4 is most practical EV for Americans.I got excellent customer service from Samuel and Andrew. Andrew followed up with videos on how to switch the AC on since I wasnt able to figure it out and I didnt want to read the manual, I just wanted drive the VW.My first car in college with my own hard earned money was a VW Golf. Driving the ID.4 brings back memories of my youth. I love this car.

I bought my first car VW Jetta over here. Amazing sales team and in particular Juan is really helpful and informative. Recently, serviced my car over here - wonderful service team fast & nice work. In any Jiffy lube just for the full synthetic oil change they would charge you $79 - $99. Here, under Groundhog Day special I have got oil change, filter change, tire rotation, top off fluids, car wash, tire pressure and other minor works done for $70. Appreciate the help of Patty & Henry (Service team). Will definitely recommend this showroom.

This post is about the VOLKSWAGON center. Had an appointment at 9 am for an oil change. I dropped my car off and was told TO LEAVE by JONATHAN because it will take 3 hours.... I had to Contact THEM for my car 5 hours later and was told “ ohh we did the cars first for the people that STAYED.... I’m confused how that’s my problem your supposed to run a business and I don’t appreciate being told lies then GETTING upset with me! For needing my car thats how I make my money and I was told by JONATHAN “ Well it’s unfortunate your mindset works like that” doesn’t even know me ? So confusing and RUDE to assume my attitude needs to be adjusted because I was put LAST WHEN I dropped of my car First!!! so UNFAIR ! I will not be going back to this dealership for service so unprofessional how I was spoken too

Nick from the Service Department was so easy to work with, extremely patient, and explained everything to me in detail. They always call to keep me updated or if something has come up during inspection and I really appreciate that. HIGHLY recommend going to Capitol Volkswagen!

Five stars for Juan, who was a patient and gracious salesman, answered all my questions promptly over phone/text and in person, and was never pushy. He accommodated me last minute when I came back and wanted to buy the car, but I had a serious time crunch as my kids were with a babysitter. He made it work! He also saw that I had no way to get my old and new car home by myself, so he offered to drive the car to my home (I live over an hour away!!) I am so thankful to him for making the process so easy. His customer service is exceptional and you dont find that everywhere.

I first contacted the dealership through their website in the evening and by the next morning, I got a follow-up from Wayne Rhodes. I asked him about their No-Brainer pricing, the terms for receiving it, and inquired about the car I was interested in. He answered all of my questions in a timely manner and we went ahead and booked a test drive. He was also very accommodating to the timing of my visit since we like a couple of hours away. At the dealership, I asked specifically for him to be our sales rep and I am very happy he was. He was knowledgeable about the car and answered all of our questions. During the financing process, he went above and beyond and found terms that were most favourable to us. In addition, he advised us on the various optional packages for the car. He was very honest and transparent with the pricing and he didn’t sell us anything we didn’t need.There was a bit of a wait to get the final papers signed (~1.5 hours) due to a lack of finance staff but that gave us time to eat lunch and enjoy their free coffee! The finance manager/director Byron Bautista was a pleasure to work with. He was able to find us an even better rate with better terms, plus added bonuses to the car. He went through every paperwork thoroughly and explained what each document meant. I see why the wait was long: they want to make sure they’re transparent with everything you sign!Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The drive was well worth it and our new Golf is a beauty! They have earned themselves a loyal customer and I’d happily drive 2 hours just to make a purchase with them again!

I find car shopping stressful and I appreciate the good care that Wayne, Byron and Arthur took of me. I am excited to own an EV! I only give 5 stars for above and beyond exceptional service, but these folks would get a 4 1/2 if I could choose fractions. The prices were a bit higher than if I went farther afield, but that is off set by the customer service, professionalism, convenience, and peace of mind that comes with working with a reputable dealer!

He provide precise discounted pricing for the Atlas i was looking for via email and answered all my questions before i went for a test drive 2 days later. At the dealership, he took time to explain the features to us and sent us off for the test drive. After we came back, he walked us through the pricing and did not pressurize us to make a deal today and respected our time, which we greatly appreciated. I have personally purchased 3 times from this location and a few of my closest friends have also purchased multiple vehicles from here. It is always a great experience. Everyone is so nice and easy to talk to. They make you feel at home during the whole process. I have dealt with Alex for two car purchases and both times he has been extremely informative about the vehicles and quick with any paperwork that needs to be done. After making many trips to multiple dealerships this was by far the worst experience. First off, we felt rushed from the time of arrival. The trade-in expert came out with the Kelley Blue book instant car value instead of the Kelley Blue book recommended trade-in value. This value was somewhere around 3800, he said he would do us a favor and offer us 6500. This was misleading, an attempt to use an arbitrary number to justify the low ball offer. The car was sold to another dealer for 9500, 30% more then the original offer which was such a favor. He also asked me why I was being confrontational for calling him out on this tactic. If you want to be hustled, dont mind losing money, this place might be for you.

It took over 6 hours to TUNE UP my 2015 w 67k miles on it. Imagine if I had a real issue. Made an appointment and still took that long for a simple tune up. 1st time here, last time here!!!

Not all VW dealers are the same. Ive called all of the VW dealerships in the bay and also tried all the car shopping apps online because of Covid, but none was upfront and honest as Samuel Levya and Byron Bautista at Capitol VW. I hate when people dont want to give me a simple number. Samuel gave me my out the door price along with a breakdown of taxes and fees for our used Tiguan in our first conversation. Every VW in the bay that Ive called would not give me a straight up out the door price. Some just wanted my social so they could run my credit. Some were really pushing me to meet in person (as if there isnt a pandemic going on).Samuel was just upfront and genuine. He went out of his way to get the job done- from asking his team to fix things on the car to even calling the previous owner to ask questions. He kept his mask on and was very conscious of being Covid-safe, which in turn made us feel safe. He put us first every time we met, every conversation we had, and genuinely cared about us being happy with this car with no regrets.Byron was our finance person and he was just as sincere and helpful as Samuel. We got to know them not only as VW guys but as real people as well. They have good values and respect for how they treat people (not just customers). These 2 guys put up with me for hour(s) after closing time, and answered all my questions and concerns, and the whole time I was not pressured. Unreal. This is not the fake sales people that just want your money that Im used to. This is the best car-buying experience weve ever had. No pressure, patient, straight up, honest people. 5 star customer service from Andrew Choy. I have been car shopping for 1 year, I visited Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Audi, Subaru, Mazda, Kai, infinity, Honda and Benz. The place by far has the best customer service from my interaction with Andrew. This is the only place that I have visited under DGDG. I have never been to dgdg, and I am very pleased with my first time at one of their shop here. I test drove twice within one month before deciding on my dream car. :) What I like the most about him is - responsive, respectful and not pushy. Samuel Leyva is a car salesmen god.A day before I made it to my appointment at Volkswagen I submitted all the necessary documents to buy the car that I wanted.I was actually in my new car and headed home in 2 and a half hours after signing all my contracts.Thats 5 hours short of what it took to buy my first car. he was very positive and answered all my questions. I did not feel taken advantage of due to having very little knowledge about the car buying process.He was positive and very flexible in our communication.It was more than about just getting a car sold I can tell that he is serious about building a positive brand for himself and the company.Thank you.

Absolutely WORST dealership ever. We bought this used Volt at Capitol Volkswagen about 1 month ago. We should have noticed at that time the unprofessional of this dealer. During our test drive, the dealer does not even know that this car is a plug-in hybrid and insist on that this car must not be a plug-in vehicle.OK, I understand that this is Capitol Volkswagen, not Chevy, so it can be understandable for them to be unfamiliar with this car, but things just get worse after we decided to buy the car. When we bought the car, we signed a lot of documents, mostly is confirming that their car has no defects before selling it to us. Sure, who would think of you will buy a defect car instead? Dramatically, this just happens to us.What do we got? A broken door lock on the rear door on drivers side. We cannot lock that door unless we lock it manually from the inside. Huh, that is called a car without defect. Cool, so we brought the car back and politely asking for a free replacement. They said sure let them take a look, and you know what, we wait there for the rest of the day (we arrived about 11 or so) until 4 or 5pm. And they still DID NOT fix the car. They said they need to order parts. OK, I wont ask why you need 6 hours just to tell me to order parts, but FINE, I will come again when your parts ready. After 2 or 3 weeks, we are finally being told that the parts are ready and we can fix that lock.That is so cool! Last time I replaced my tires for my Lexus, you know how long that one takes? Two days, and a total waiting of 2 hours. It took an hour the first day to let me know they need to order parts, and it took another hour to have the new tires on. So how long dear Capitol Volkswagen took us? Emmmm, roughly 12 hours I think? It took 6 hours for them to let me know they need to order parts, and they use another 6 hours to JUST fix that lock. Interesting.You think this is the end of the story? No! When we finally got our Volt back and drove to Popeyes for a chicken dinner, we noticed that there are several scratches on the back trunk! We checked our car EVERY DAY and I swear I NEVER SAW SCRATCHES LIKE THESE. Thus, we drove back and told them it is your man that made these scratches. Clearly, as a good dealership, Capitol Volkswagen is never good at admitting mistakes that caused by them. We are told that they must not be the one that cause these scratches but they can offer a buff. OK, I should have taken pictures before sending the car to you for the service but I didnt, so I dont have any evidences showing that it is you that made these scratches. FINE, if you help me buff the scratches, it is just FINE.Today, we came to Capitol Volkswagen for the buff, and they took the car for about 2 hours and now they told me: Sorry, since it is not our fault, we cannot buff it for you. WAIT. Are you xxxxing kidding me?I have never seen a dealership like this, and I will definitely never go back to this dealership again. Some sincere suggestions from a previous customer of Capitol Volkswagen:1. Please remember to take a pictures of your car, both interior and exterior, before sending your car for the service, so that they cannot deny their responsibilities when they caused damages to your car.2. Although I dont know how they caused the scratches, after searching online, we found out that it can be the car wash from dealership (I have never done a car wash after I bought this Volt), which also causes lots of scratches to other customers somewhere else. Thus, please dont ask your dealer to give your car a car wash, you can always do it outside somewhere.

I got the car that I wanted which was great. However I have owned my car for two months now and have contacted the dealership at least 5 times now and havent received the paperwork we signed for. Im still lacking DMV material and my loan contract details are not documented for me to prove I own the car. I love the car I bought however Im really disappointed with the overall experience with this dealership.

My overall experience with this dealership was quite positive, and the person of contact, Lori Campbell, was very helpful, professional, attentive, yet somehow casual so I wasnt pressured to buy...and I have some past experience to compare to. She introduced me to the car I was most interested in, demonstrated various features and her test drive routes allowed me to feel the car at various driving scenarios. The purchase process also was quite seamless, and I drove off in my new car. Conclusion: from my personal experience, I would recommend this place.

I drove 350 miles to purchase my VW here. Yes, I got a great deal, but more importantly the customer service was really 5 star. I had the opportunity to work with Andrew Choy and Samuel Leyva. They were honest and upfront about pricing, trade-in, and when I got there - the deal didnt change. They were also really enjoyable to work with!Ive had some terrible past experiences with other VW dealers in the Los Angeles area and these guys really turned it all around. Lori was fantastic! I came all the way from SF because Capitol offered the best deal. So I had a rental car to return. Lori led me to Enterprise, waited for me to gas the car and return it, and then took me back to the dealership. I found a slight blemish on the hood of the car I was purchasing - it’s a used car - and she had both the hood and trunk lid buffed and shined. Justin was also great in the finance office. People saying best service is paying the extra 4k.Pricing is so bad here, easily 4k higher than other shops, just check out some online prices on other dealerships.I was talking to Arthur, and if you ask to match price with another dealership, they will become extremely defensive and angry.

Everything seems working fine except the last part: waiting for the delivery of my car. I waited outside the office for nearly 10 minutes and still no car! I finally have to get back inside and inquired about this. I observed and think what happened is the guy whos responsible for doing the delivery was waiting for a car that needs to drive back to the back of the job site or parking lot instead of go get the customers car right away. This way he is thinking with killing 2 birds with one stone mentality. I think thats good for efficiency but the delay is longer than expected than he should think of customers service as priority. What happened if the other car is not ready for 15 to 20 minutes (like writing up the job orders etc) then should the customer bear this burden and wait for the long time? This is the reason I only give 3 stars, otherwise all the other services are very good.
