As someone who is younger, walking into car dealerships it is easy to be dismissed as someone who is “just looking” or someone that can be taken advantage of. Thankfully, this was not the experience that I encountered when I arrived.Erdal offered to help right away and had no issue showing me the car I came to look at. There were no pushy sales tactics and the car was priced competitively. We can to an agreement quickly and without much haggling which was refreshing to say the least.Mike (I believe that was his name) was also great in helping me through the financing process. Once again, no pushy tactics. His goal was to make sure I walked out with the options I needed at a price that I was comfortable with.Overall a great and stress free experience. I would recommend this dealership to anyone that is in the market for a BMW.
I brought my car to see if they can fix it up and they had everything my car needed and were very professional. They set up my appointment and took care of me when it came to paying for the service. Will for sure be back for any other problems I have with my car. Alan and Brandon were of great help during my experience.
Decent at best. Service department was sub-par. Dont expect anyone in service to answer the phone when you call. As for the extended service agreement we purchased, doesnt seem to cover any actual problems or issues...my fault for buying it...their fault for selling it.

Tommy was very friendly and accommodating. My vehicle required a maintenance while I was traveling and he fit me in and gave me helpful tips for future maintenance. I told him I’d had trouble finding and getting into a local car wash and he gave me some names of places I had not been aware of for my future reference. In the end, he had my car washed for me, which made me very happy and grateful. Very nice and clean facility.
Left my vehicle with them to have my noisy muffler looked at and a small rubber washer for my hatchback cover. They wanted to charge me $200 for that small rubber piece, and a few thousand dollars for a new muffler. This was in addition to $1500 in service costs to replace a few common fluids.I turned down the service and took the car to a smaller, local mechanic who examined the muffler. It was a quick and inexpensive fix for $50! This experience left a horrible taste in my mouth and has made me completely mis-trust the bigger mechanics. Ill be taking my business to the smaller, local mechanics with my business.
Your service rep, Tommy, was very polite. patient and helpful. He understood exactly what I needed, and was willing to help even though your dealership was going to make almost nothing from my visit. Thats admirable. You really have a nice operation there in Monterey.

Very odd and strange experience buying a car through this dealership. I can only attribute it to Sunday understaffing and practices in the dealership. I personally would not buy any car from this dealership and would not suggest you to try either. _FIND_SOMEBODY_ELSE_ who really care about the customers, since you paying them in form of commision for the way you get treated. I purchased used Fiat with them. As soon as I worked in into the place I been told that nobody there to help for at least 30 min... should of been a tell tell sign. When sales person finally appeared I was shown a car. I asked to show 5 cars which was advertised online, only 1 was actually shown. The rest were unavailable : in service or sold.... Why they are advertised as available when they are not just blows my mind. After I suggested that I would like to purchase the car I was told that it is likely take 1-2hr and I have to wait for finance manager who is not available. We agreed to meetup in 2hr. I got a call that they are not ready yet, but and should come back at 4:30 (one more hour latter)... when I got there... I waited without anybody talking with me for another 1:30hr. By the time we were done it was almost 7pm. That is 8hr since we started..... All that time salesperson had time to prepare the car....On top of that salesperson never mention to me a body damage (passenger door scratch) on the car. I failed to see it myself - my fault. Yet buying car at luxury car dealership you would expect that car salesman is aware of such detail and will point out to you that.Got home (5 min drive) to find a scratch... Contacted dealership.... no response ... not even a small note... nothing....Why would you want to buy a car from luxury dealership, pay commission and receive 0 customer service and waist 8hr on car transaction....? Just stay away, put your time and money at somebody who cares.

It seems the service reps never listen to what I say and the problems I have always take multiple visits because what I asked for was never addressed. I never receive updates on the service status of my car even when overdue by a day or more. They have never responded to any voicemails Ive left. It took them over a month (a month, Im not kidding) to get me a set of windshield wipers. How hard is that? Who doesnt keep those in stock? Im so glad to be moving out of the area so I can be with a good BMW dealership.
I see they have 4.8 out of 5 stars, so most will skip this review, but here it is: Nothing great for a dealership. Sales folks, super nice and helpful, but the business department, a total mess, and service missed the fact the 2018 vehicle I bought for my 16 year old had literally no rear brakes. Business folks mis-titled the car, failed to get signatures from prior seller in correct locations, did not register the BMW Certified warranty, among other issues. The excuse from the Business Department was the person who did the paperwork is no longer with them, I guess a good thing. Service at least admitted to not doing a a full inspection of the vehicle, can you say safety issue? Worst part, all left to me address and to get a return call from them when there is an issue is like pulling teeth from an angry tiger, impossible, or lots of let me get you to the other department, no ownership. To date still no sorry, just more wasted time. You can only be told they are on lunch or they left for the day so many times, especially when coupled with no return call. If you use BMW of Monterey check your paperwork and know, if they mess up, it was expected and it will be mostly up to you to resolve. If you have another dealership within 45 minutes, try to get a matching deal and do the drive.

I purchased a pre owned 2019 M5 from Lithia BMW of Monterey in January of 2021. As an out of state buyer, I relied solely on the salesman to fully disclose the history and condition of the car. Based on his representation, I purchased the car and had it shipped to me in Florida. Once I received the car, I found that the car had significant damage all over the car which had been poorly repaired and repainted. None of this was ever disclosed to me! Beware of this dealer!

10/10 would go here again to fix a recall. The customer lounge area is comfortable, and you can see all the action going on. They also give a complimentary car wash (just a power wash with bubbles) which is nice if the car is covered in dirt and bugs.

I just went here to get my oil changed as I have iLife synthetic oil service(or whatever its called) and the service met all my needs perfectly. Clean as hell, quicker than expected, temperature was nice, music wasnt too loud and everyone was nice as could be.Oh and they washed my car and I didnt ask for it or know they even had a wash. Im not in the market for a car but if I was I would definitely consider going to these folks. Mike was my service rep but I dont know who did the actual oil change. Thank you to everyone there 🙏

I purchased a pre-owned exotic from BMW of Monterey a few weeks ago sight unseen (I am Los Angeles based). My communication with the dealers representative, Bryan Williams, was quick and effective as he got back to me promptly and went the extra mile to make sure the due diligence went forward smoothly. The deal was finalized quickly as well with minimal back and forth and the dealership arranged for shipping down to LA. Although the shipping process was not perfect, the car got here quickly as well. Upon arrival, I discovered a couple of issues that left me unhappy but the dealership stepped up and Amir Mohsin (the pre-owned sales director) took charge and made sure I was taken care of. Overall, this was one of my positive remote car buying experiences and I highly recommend BMW of Monterey to anyone looking for new or pre-owned cars given their honestly, promptness and their ability to take care of a discriminating customer such as myself.

Great experience at BMW Monterey. I saw a BMW 230i that my fiancee and I was interested in online and set up an appointment with them ahead of time. Michael Godick was really understanding of our travel delays since we were coming from 80 miles away, and provided excellent service as we were test driving and thinking through our options. We got what we thought was a fair price, and they also didnt push as hard to sell their own products (like tire insurance) after the fact which made the overall buying experience very pleasant.

Phil Holmes has been great from the start. It was wonderful to have a salesman know every feature of the car. I have over 15 new vehicles and not one salesperson has every taken the time to show and demonstrate the features of the vehicle, mostly because they did not know how to operate all of the functions.I went for my one month consultation. The service was wonderful. I was in and out in a jiffy. Phil awaited my arrival and took the time to answer any questions I had.I purchased my vehicle in July 2015 and I love my 435i Gran Coupe. This by far is the best and most beautiful I have ever owned. Of all the BMW dealerships in the Bay Area, this is the best one, from customer service, to genuinely nice sales people, namely Gary K. Ive been searching for an M4 at several dealerships, and despite this one being the furthest from home, it was the best experience. FAR better than SF BMW or Peter Pan BMW. Those treated me like I didnt know a darn thing about cars, but not at BMW Monterey. I felt respected here and taken seriously, esp being a female buyer, and not condescended to. Gary spent a lot of time with me (on his day off yet), and let me actually do a real test drive. How do you know how a car drives unless you drive it? There was nothing pretentious about this dealership or sales team, and I would recommend BMW Monterey to anyone. What I sincerely appreciated was his transparency on what discounts were available for this car (where a different Bay Area dealership I visited chose not to disclose that with me and pocket the money). I would purchase from this dealership again. If you are interested in a vehicle, I highly recommend Gary K.
Very disappointed with their service department. Quality and customer service has gone down hill. I was a long time customer over a decade but I will never go back to them to buy/service any of my cars. The level of service performed on my car was not up to standard and the service manager was very rude. I bought my new bmw over the hill this time.
John, the salesman, came across as calm, relaxed and patient. He was attentive, respectful and listened to what I had to say. I have found the entire staff to be friendly, eager to address my concerns and professional all the way. It was a very pleasant experience both with leasing the car and with the service department. I recently moved to the Monterey area from San Francisco. I was looking for a place to have my Mini Cooper serviced. I called your business thinking BMW would be able to service my car. While I was told a routine oil change could be completed, any warranty work could not be done as you do not carry Mini parts. So, since I only wanted an oil change, I made an appt.Everyone was very nice, however it took 3 oil changes to get it right. Oil kept leaking from the drain plug. As it turned out, the first and second mechanic had replaced the original O ring with a BMW part. It clearly did not fit properly. Only when the Mgr. named Jeremy stepped in did it get fixed by using the original O ring. This experience was very stressful.The end result was finally okay, but I didnt really understand why the O ring got replaced if it didnt need replacing.I hope to return someday, but hopefully this would never happen again.Thank you for your courteousness.
Friendly staff and excellent service!I was driving from San Francisco to San Diego when I got the Check Engine light on. I had to drop off my car without an appointment. BMW of Monterey not only accepted my request for vehicle inspection, but also they fixed the issue, by replacing a thermostat, which was the cause of the problem.Thank you for the flexibility to accommodate my emergency service request and for fixing the problem with a couple of hours.

Took 3 series in for part recall service. Were able to schedule the service relatively quickly and made sure that I had a loaner which turned out to be a brand new X3 - great car. Car was ready same day and was ready for me as soon as I returned. Very efficient and Kenny was helpful and pointed out some items they found whilst completing the recall part replacement.

I bought a new 2018 M240i from Kyle S. I had checked at many dealers and their price was the best. I had to drive from Southern California to pick up the car at our agreed price. Kyle and Mike C. had all the paperwork drawn up and ready to go. It was a fairly quick transaction. Car was clean and washed. Flawless! Stephanie helped explain all the features. First class buying experience on my first BMW. I will be recommending them to my friends.
My recent appointment was very efficient. I arrived a few minutes early and my regular service advisor was with another customer. Another advisor asked if he could help and quickly checked me in. The new facility is very nice.
The experience of buying a Certified Pre-Owned BMW i3 from BMW of Monterey was actually very pleasant! I hate buying a car. I was planning to use a car buying service. I went to Monterey to check out i3 color combinations. Can you imagine test driving a car on the back roads of beautiful Monterey and along the coast? This dealership definitely has an advantage! But they also were there to educate me; I felt no pressure to buy a car. They did have the car I wanted. I felt their pricing was upfront and fair based on my research. I had visited a few other BMW dealerships and felt the BMW of Monterey dealership staff was very friendly, down-to- earth, helpful and not pretentious. The experience was surprisingly enjoyable. My service engine soon light turned on and my engine was running rough. It was the weekend and I was from Seattle .I was first in line when the dealership opened on Monday morning. I plead my case to Joe Campo (service writer) and he said he would do his best to fit me in sometime during the day.I was shocked to hear at 10:30am that not only was it fixed, but that all 6 ignition coils and spark plugs were changed under warranty.Extremely happy with this friendly dealership.
