Dr Adams-Derouen is very thorough, and takes plenty of time to make sure you understand the exam results, and have your questions answered. She has a very relaxed manner, and it’s always a good experience. Her staff is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this office.

First time at Urban Eyes and it was such a wonderful experience compared to my last experience at America’s Best. Every single person there was kind, helpful, and timely. I saw Dr Gates and she was super thorough and answered my many questions, and spent plenty of time with us. I never felt rushed or ignored. The whole appointment took 45 minutes and was very comfortable. My costs ($10 for everything) was exactly what we discussed when I scheduled. I will be staying here for all of my family’s vision care.

Outstanding professional medical service. I have been a patient of Dr Adams for several years and I have always received the very best care. At my most recent appointment, Dr Adams identified spots on my retina and her office personnel immediately set up an appointment with a retinal specialist for further evaluation. Additionally, her staff found my blood pressure was extremely high. Upon completion of my annual eye exam, Dr Adams had my blood pressure redone and it was still high. Dr Adams had me call my PCP to set up an appointment. Two days later, my PCP completed my annual physical with lab work. My blood pressure was still extremely high. I am now on blood pressure medication and my blood pressure is back to normal. I am forever grateful to Dr Adams and her staff for identifying my two new medical conditions and then promptly worked to get them evaluated and resolved. Dr Adams and her staff at Urban Eyes are the best and have consistently provided the best medical care.

Once again Dr. Adams-Derouen has exceeded my expectations and impressed me with the level of care and provides. I find her to be kind, compassionate and professional. She endeavors to teach us about our eye health and necessary self care. She’s an indispensable part of my and my husband’s health care.

Last year was an extremely trying year health wise and even though I had not been in their office for an entire year...when I walked in..I was asked about my health and they all seemed genuinely concerned to know the outcome. This was my second experience bringing a child under 7 (not know for their compliance or ability to sit still, for sure!), and this visit went just as wonderfully as the first! The entire staff is so patient and kind, and took their time to make my daughter feel comfortable. Dr. Gates took her time to make sure we were getting accurate results, and Barbara is simply a saint. She made picking out glasses fun for my daughter, and got her excited about the whole process. Can’t recommend them enough!

So I was here a few days ago and I’m now encouraging my husband to not come back. My stepdaughter had an appointment for glasses and so I decided to come help her pick out her very first pair. The African American receptionist was an absolute sweetheart and the doctor is great but the experience was ruined by an older blonde haired sales rep.After my daughter’s exam, we met with her to discuss glasses. The sales rep completely ignored my presence. I’m Asian and my stepdaughter is a blonde haired blue eyed little girl. The sales rep ONLY spoke to my husband and our little girl. She never even once made eye contact with me. Every comment I made was either batted away, ignored, or flat out refuted. My husband noticed it too but we continued to be friendly towards the woman. After we left, we talked about the experience and we’re 99.9% sure that she would’ve not acted this way towards me if I were blonde haired and blue eyed.On top of that, their selection for children’s eyewear is tiny. We had very few options to choose from.I’m used to being looked down upon due to my race but it still shocks me every time it happens.

The staff here are really friendly and always take the time to explain results of the various tests and images. There are lots of extra safety measures in place too due to COVID, but the office has managed to maintain it’s relaxed atmosphere which is impressive-definitely worth a visit !

Before showing up I was assured that my medicare advantage insurance would cover all that I requested. I even specifically refused the optional charge, ($39.00) for digital retinal scans, opting for the old fashioned eye drops. As I walked out I was asked to pay a $70.00 charge. No attempt to solve the issue, just PAY UP.Im sure the doctors who work here are competent, but the management needs a lot of work. Being 100% clear on all costs for all services is what a good company should always strive for.I feel ripped off and I hope youll think twice before doing business with these people. There are many other places you can go with your business and be treated honestly. No sense in rewarding these people for doing what they shouldnt do.

I had a fantastic experience at Urban Eyes. Everyone there was so professional, nice and punctual. The office is impeccably clean and they had a great variety of frames to choose from. Lastly, Dr. Delgado was great. She did an excellent job explaining and answering my questions and I couldnt be happier with my prescription and new glasses. Ill be coming back to Urban Eyes for my exam next year!

Dr. Adams is my primary Dr at Urban eyes and she is wonderful! She really takes time with you, gets to know you and helps to explain anything you have questions about. I have gone to her for years now, and whether its been annual vision checks or styes or even a corneal abrasion she has been amazing! I have also seen Dr. Melchor and others and they are all wonderful!

My wife, son, & daughter are all patients here at Urban Eyes so I made my first appointment after leaving the horrible VA (reoccurring story). The customer service was great; every step of the exam was explained to me before & during by Carla who is customer-oriented & very knowledgeable in her field.

Do not waste your time. Long waits and under staffed. I wasted a day off to wait and not be served or called back. The facility came highly recommended but I personally will never go back. My wife had an appointment the same day and experienced huge delays.

I have been seeing Dr. Adams and her amazing and dedicated staff for 14 years and refuse to see anyone else. I had an emergency and her staff got me right in with an appointment to get me examined with a wait time of less than 5 minutes. She is thorough, efficient and makes suggestions as well as asking specific questions. Dr Adams knows her profession and loves what she does and I am grateful.

Bad experience they told me that I was going to pay $ 40 dollars for the visit and 39 po I do not know that another exam at the time of paying turns out that I pay $ 345 and they never asked me if I agreed or what they were going to be me before to charge me all that I do not return or recommend nadi
