This was my first time considering an out of state purchase (of a Porsche). Jons responsiveness and transparency quickly set me at ease. We gave a deposit to hold a car pending our ability to secure financing being that this dealership does not offer financing. Finding only terrible rate options for a car of this age (9 years old) we decided not to purchase. Jon tells us after the fact that this deposit is/was non-refundable. We did not discuss this fact in advance that this deposit was not refundable or we would not have given the deposit as there was no way to know what the financing offers would look like. Feel like this was deliberate deception and frankly a cheap move to hold on to the money after the fact. He has refused phone calls about this and only communicates via text. Great cars but watch your wallet with this crew.

I recently purchased a Fiat 500 Abarth from Canyon State Classics. I dealt directly with the owner Jon and must say the whole experience was excellent and very professional. I live in California and I bought the Abarth site unseen. I usually never make such a large purchase without seeing the vehicle in person. But Jon had over 70 photos of the Abarth up on his website and they showed every inch of the car. He made sure to take photos of any defects like some small stone chips on the front bumper. After speaking with Jon I felt very reassured and was comfortable purchasing the car. After just a few short emails and a transfer of funds, the sale was completed and Jon completely took care of the shipping. Which was very reasonably priced as well. Then only a few days after I first found the car online, it was sitting in my driveway. It was in excellent condition and was exactly how the pictures described. Jon had made the entire experience very simple and stress free. I would gladly do business with him again and greatly recommend his business to anyone who wants a more exotic or classic car.

I just picked up a 2012 honda civic si with low mileage and no crazy modifications, the car itself was very well maintained and looks almost new! I worked with John on this deal and he made sure that the process was straight forward and fast. He also made sure to get new correct floor mats and replaced some of the rubber body lining on the car. He definitely goes above and beyond to bring together a car, classic or recent, that is the complete package!

There is a very cool collection of classic cars just off University here in Tempe. I actually found this place buying a truck camper shell. The camper had some mild damage from the previous owner (which I was fine with) but the owner Jon insisted he fix it on the spot. So he took an extra 15 minutes and fixed it himself. I was super impressed with his commitment to do things the right way, even on a used truck camper.The display room is really awesome - two rows of unique and beautiful classic cars of all different kinds. I was practically a first-time car buyer when I recently dove in and bought a beautiful 300zx online from Canyon State Classics. Above all I must say that everything about the car is, as far as I can tell, exactly as represented in the pictures and description (short of a trivial detail or two that clearly didnt apply to this car).I am amazed by the cars condition inside and out and I feel very lucky to have my hands on this rare year/model/trim in such great shape. Mechanically, the car matches the description and runs amazingly well and appropriately for its miles, and everything works as stated in the ad. It drives straight as a laser, the engine seems to have all the horsepower it came with, and the car takes off like a rocket with no drama. Of course, the years and miles mean the buyer (me) faces some unknowns, but it would be next to impossible to find another example at this price & desirability with more promising ownership history or visibly better condition.It took some time for all the pieces to fall into place including paperwork, payment, getting shipping lined up, and extra time when Jon offered to have the cars original radio overhauled. However, the wait was worth it when the car arrived, shipped in an enclosed trailer, in fantastic shape. Jon was totally flexible with dates and destinations. I also appreciate the honest photographs on the website -- brightly lit to the point of unflattering -- since they gave me an accurate idea of the cars actual condition. I was very pleased to find that the car is totally gorgeous in person.Overall it was a smooth and easy process, and Jon was always highly responsive to questions. Canyon State Classics always has a great selection of cars and Jon is awesome - he knows a lot about these special cars. I had been watching a particular car for a while online and finally reached out to him via email. We were able to come up with a rough agreement and I swung by to check it out in person. The staff had the car all prepped, ready to go! VMI report and original MSRP sticker had already been printed and put in the car for me to review.I traded in a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC that I had carefully restored and was given a very fair trade-in value. After longing for an air cooled 911 for the past 20 years or so, I finally decided to pull the trigger on one. Jon’s dealership had a beautiful cobalt blue 993 which checked all my boxes. Great price, 6 speed, only 3 owners, rare targa (one of 567 in 1997), turbo twist wheels with an extra set of Speedlines, etc. He’s sold many 911’s in the past and was very familiar with the car and represented it well. It’s a bit stressful at first buying a 23 year old Porsche sight unseen 8 hrs away online and not being able to put your hands on the car, but everything was perfect. He also helped me coordinate a pre purchase inspection close to his dealership which went well and didn’t reveal any surprises. After the deal was done, he arranged shipping much cheaper than what I could find and it arrived the next afternoon even though I’m 8 hours away. Thanks again Jon! I love my new 993, she’s happy in her new garage and loves these mountain roads.

Bought a Boxster from Canyon State and while there were a few service issues that needed to be tended to post purchase, John was extremely helpful and considerate in helping me get them resolved. This dealer had a listing posted where they a) were asking around 50% more than the car was worth and b) stated they would consider offers. I made an offer and was immediately ridiculed by the sales person via sarcasm and name calling. This place lacks professionalism and also their pricing is ridiculous. I am glad I didnt close a deal with a business like this.
