The ceiling in the unit had obviously been repaired prior to my moving in. The patch from the ceiling was hanging down 2 feet and there was obvious signs of prior water damage. I reported these issues to management on 2/9/2021 by email, voice message, and in person. I was told other areas of the facility were being repaired which had higher priority and ...I should cover my stuff up with a tarp in case it should rain (no..Im not joking here!) No surprise then when it rained in Mar 2021 that water leaked into my unit and caused damage. When I reported this to management they said they got approval to have roof repairs done (though only AFTER I reported that property damage had occurred), it would be several weeks for them to start the repairs, and they were to begin repairs on another building first. When the roof repairmen finally started working on the roof (later than I was first told), they caused even more damage to the ceiling of my unit just from walking on the roof and made the previous ceiling patch (as well as the electrical conduit attached to the ceiling) become dislodged from it. Oh, and plaster from the ceiling rained down on my property like snow at Christmas. I moved out as soon as my 3 month prepaid lease was up on 4/27/2021 (at my own expense, of course). If you rent from here, CAVEAT EMPTOR: you will have maintenance issues, lack of response from management (except for a long list of well-rehearsed excuses), and you risk damage to your property. If these issues do not concern you, then by all means lease from here....just make sure you have very good renters insurance and cover your property with a tarp!

Have used many storage fascillites and I would say that this one is comparable. The managers are mathodically replaced after about a year or so of service. I think that there must be a problem with ownership... Good ones go... Why?

Very friendly staff, every time I visit they say hi and offer us a snack or water. Unit is secured and monitored. Doors roll well.

Weve had a unit here for 6yrs and theyve always been good to us.

Just rented a unit from Jeff, the manager - great guy and wonderful customer service! He was helpful, friendly and efficient. I visited a few other storage places, but each one had problems. Tempe Choice Self Storage is very accommodating - I could use my lock, didnt have to buy extra insurance (my homeowners policy was adequate), and good gate hours (includes evening hours).

The manager Jeff is awesome! Very responsive and helpful. The facility is well maintained with good lighting, always clean and easily accessible. I would highly recommend this self storage place!

This place is awesome! I’ve used a couple different storage facilities in Tempe so far being a student and always moving and this place is by far the best. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the units are so clean. Most definitely recommend

I have had storage here for a long time and I LOVE it

For the past month I have been in frequent contact with Mr. Mike Dodd, the present manager, by email and by phone. There were several complications regarding my account that arose when the facility was under the former management. In response to all my inquiries Mike gave me an immediate response and showed himself to be as helpful as possible. I am very appreciative of his open and friendly manner and look forward to making his acquaintance in person in the future.

With the new management this place has improved drastically! Really Appreciate all Mike has done for this facility. Keep it up!

Poor management unsecured and flooding every time it rains.i would not refer anybody to this place I couldnt get out fast enough.!

I just got done moving my stuff from a shady storage place i thought i could trust. I spoke with the manager when i was there and i was assured that this was the place to be. The unit was clean and just as described. I was given options and never pressured to purchase more than i needed. The site was clean and the manager was knowledgable. Grwat place overall!

Great place very affordable

We did a short term unit rental and confirmed the price over the phone. Price was considerably lower than others so thats why we called to confirm. When were got there, the price changed. The website is confusing, BUT, they were right. They still made us a deal we had to take. Unit was clean and they worked with us with the padlock and access. Would use them again!

Dirty and run down

Tempe Choice Self Storage is under new management that has cleaned it up and offers great service. The location makes it a convenient place for storage.

The lady in the office is nice. Unfortunately she is on site manager with her husband who is absolutely very difficult to deal with in my opinion. To the point that I felt like I did need to move out. he takes things apart and does not how to put them back together you know you not have electricity sometimes because of that. I could go on and on and on but it was inconvenient for me to have to move . And I was treated very badly on my move out.
