We visited Lake Tahoe in a superbusy July 4th weekend and got a flat tire with a very tight schedule ahead of us. During that crazy holiday weekend, the Auto Doctor was the only one serving the tourists like us within 40~50 miles in Truckee area. Kari and the team saved our trip with quality and immediate service. Really appreciated their great great helps!!

I had a unique problem where the oil filter was installed by another service so tight I couldn’t remove it. They took it in and we’re able to break it loose at no charge so I could complete my oil change. 10 minutes of kindness goes a long way for good customer service. Best. Experience. Ever. It was Saturday afternoon and we had no other options to get our flat patched ahead of a snow storm. We were about to be stranded for 2 extra days or have to drive hours on a donut to Reno - instead they stayed open later so we could come in and get our flat fixed. We are super grateful!

I needed a shot of grease in the hubs of my trailers wheels. I called and though such service is clearly not their bread and butter, they said I could come by. When I got there, I had a brief wait before a technician grabbed the grease gun and took care of the wheels. I very much appreciated them going off the menu to help me. Great experience.

Our car drove over a dead deer and the skid plate was dragging on the ground. This is probably the only auto repair shop that’s open on Sat. these guys helped mitigate the problem so that we can drive home and fix it.

Went in because it was the cheapest in town including Reno, but boy am I delightfully surprised. Took less than an hour and they were so friendly even when I asked them a couple questions related to some dents on my car. Just became my go-to oil service place.

I had a problem with my rear fender that was detaching. Even though this was not the primary job at this shop, the two guys and TJ in particular were very friendly and fixed for me in a few minutes without charging me for their time. This was very nice from them and made my day. I definitely recommend this shop and will use it for sure when I am back in town

Terrible customer service, the opposite of express, who makes a customer wait 3 days for an oil change?The guy at the counter was incredibly rude, ESPECIALLY because we didnt live right there in the little mountain town where this place has advertised that theyre available? Heres a clue - DONT live in a tourist town if you hate outsiders. I used to live in Tahoe City, I know how much people hate tourists, but dont be in customer service if you hate serving customers!Go 20-ish miles further and get what you need in Reno. This place stinks.

Auto Dr express is THE BEST! Keith was a huge help and squeezed me in to replace my tail light and the boys programmed my tire pressure sensor gauge so I didn’t have to stare at a stupid light on my dash all winter! Thank you so much! You are all amazing!

Customer service was outstanding! I just needed my wheels checked and re-torqued as I had new wheels installed just before driving up to Truckee. They got me in on a Saturday within an hour of my first call & I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. To top it off the gentleman didnt even want to charge me for the service. I left a tip. While I was there I watched the manager assist two more people that were having unexpected car trouble. He was a solution maker, not an excuse giver. He provided detailed explanation of repairs made to one customer while assuring another customer that his brake problem would not only be properly diagnosed but would be completely repaired by the end of the day, it was almost 3pm when the manager told the customer this. We frequent Truckee for family trips, now I can confidently plan any and all my scheduled or unexpected repairs without having to worry about being away from home.

The crew at Auto Doctor Express Lube are great. I purchased a new vehicle that required a smog certification, and they worked with me the entire time to make sure that the cars sensors were up and running and fully functional in order to pass the smog certification. They were very patient, helpful, and provided excellent service for such a seemingly mundane thing as a smog certification.

They told me it would be 45 minutes (for an old beat up van) and it took maybe 20. These guys are fast efficient and thorough. Ive been getting my oil changed by the auto doctor since 2016 and the addition of an express lube has made the experience all the sweeter. I cant recommend them enough.

Great service. Josh is the man. He made notes on potential future needs without pushing them, did my oil change quickly (while I grabbed a coffee at Pacific Crest Coffee... and a beer at Truckee brewing... oops) and had me on my way for a great price.

Keith is amazing. Not only did he diagnose the problem with my car immediately, and find the best price for the parts I needed, but he was extremely kind and helpful. He called me many times during the week until I could come back to Truckee to pick up my car, arranged a ride for me and more! I highly recommend this shop for any problems you may have with your car. TJ and Jose were also kind and helpful.

Stopped in from out of town because brakes were making a funny noise, Keith was amazing ! He helped me get my car back on the road so I could get over the mountain in time before the storm hit. Would totally recommend this place!!! Thanks guys

Had an issue with a mud flap. Got there just before closing on Saturday afternoon. Get great customer service, friendly and efficient. They looked at the issue, fixed it in 20 minutes and I was on my way. Cant be happier.

Horrible customer service. I called in yesterday 8/30 to schedule an oil change and spoke to Keith directly who claimed he scheduled an appointment for 1PM on 8/31. I arrived today 8/31 at 12:52PM for my oil change only to find out it was never scheduled. Keith tried to put the blame on someone else, but remembered our phone call as soon as I mentioned that Lisa transferred my call to him directly. He then proceeded to explain that there was no way for him to fit my oil change in even though it was a scheduling error on his part. I expressed my frustration by letting him know my oil life is at 4% and he responded “oh that’s not bad you can definitely make it through the weekend” and told me to come back next week & he would give me 50% off the oil change. It was nice of him to offer this discount, but it would’ve been nicer if he would have actually been reliable and scheduled my appointment for today 8/31/18 at 1PM like we discussed over the phone yesterday 8/30/18. I will never be back and I will never recommend this location to anyone for any services whatsoever due to the unreliable scheduling with the staff.

Eduardo was great about checking my cars tire pressure and refilling the windshield washer liquid in under 5 minutes.

I had a low pressure warning on my tires, and everywhere I went the pumps were coated in ice and not working. Came here and they filled my tires for free with a ton of professionalism. Saved my snowboard trip for sure!

Terrible customer service they turn away costumers because they don’t want to do the work. Not recommended. Maybe a business should take care of their out of town business and not treat them like they are a waste of their time.
