I’ve been a Bassett customer for over a dozen years. both the quality of the furniture and the customer service has gone down hill. my latest modified L shaped couch came with a hole in the cushion. i picked up a replacement a month later from the warehouse. note, i had to go get it. and... it too was damaged! a couple months later and i still have a damaged couch cushion. the original salesperson was keen to make the sale and worked diligently on making it work with our room’s floor plan. but then following the sale, he dropped off the map and never returned our phone calls! additionally when it was taking close to 3 months for delivery, no one called us to let us know it was in. we had to call them! so disappointing, especially when you are paying a premium for their furnishings! next time i will definitely go elsewhere. read the reviews, if they start to say the same or similar things - believe it.

I wish I could put zero stars. I purchased a bedroom set, a coffee table and a nook table from Basset in January 2021. It is now June and I still don’t have the side rail and footboard to my bed. My situation was a little unique because I bought in WA but wanted to have it shipped to TX. Every single store that we went to that didn’t support this type of transaction told us so. Basset wanted the sale so they told us that they could use a transportation company to shop from their manufacturing location to TX. That was the worse mistake I have ever made. I have spent over $11k with this furniture and six months later I still don’t have it. It was supposed to be sent to us first week of April but week after week we kept getting told that there is a delay. At first it was because some items were manufactured and some where not. Every week I would call and every week I was told a different date. Eventually we got the items but to our surprise the item that delay the whole thing being shipped was not delivered to us. It has been soooo hard working with them and the only person that seems to care and know what is going on is Breah. Even when I talked to the manager he said I had to wait to her to come back from vacation and that he didn’t know the status of things. Every time I check they blame the delivery company. Basset I gave YOU $11k, not this delivery company. If you can’t do out of state deliveries don’t tell your customers you can just to make a sale. I will never do business with this company again.

We have owned our sofa for less than a year. We noticed pilling in the fabric within a month and severe cushion wear within two months. When we brought this to the attention of Bassett the response was that pilling is normal, buy a fabric shaver and that we should have bought a better cushion. We have purchased the fabric shaver but cannot keep up with the pilling. Bassett has offered to give us an upgraded cushion but has yet to honor that offer. I cannot recommend Bassett and will not be returning.While I appreciate the response from the store owner, I have made several calls to the store with nothing but a promise to order new cushion inserts. I can’t get anyone to return a call at this point.Update: after two calls to the stores and multiple calls to the warehouse I did get my cushions replaced and I am satisfied with the result. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

I’ve been helping my mom pick out new furniture for my parents home, we decided to check out Bassett for the first time, unfortunately our experience was not a pleasant one. We were “greeted” by Jay? who informed us that we were not allowed to browse but we “have to be working on a specific project” in order to shop there. We were so confused... and this really set off our experience, we found a few couches my mom was interested in but were so weirded out by this employee following us around we decided to head out without making a purchase.

Leaving this review based on the quality customer service provided to us from Design Consultant Ryan Cain yesterday. He was professional knowledgeable and friendly which made the process stress free. He provided us a complimentary design to scale service of our space and take home fabric samples all at no extra charge, something we had not experienced before.In the future we will continue to shop at this store due to Ryan’s great service.

I had an exceptionally bad experience here. My boyfriend and I were browsing around the different furniture stores looking for a new couch and eventually stopped at Bassett. We were making a habit of browsing around the whole store before enlisting the help of a sales associate. We were stopped half way through our walk around the store when a sales associate approached us. We made it extremely clear, in a polite way of course, that we preferred to look around at everything before being helped. However, he aggressively insisted that we were making a mistake because everything was customizable and in which case needed his help to make any decisions. After turning him down 3-4 times he got noticeably upset and with an attitude said, “yeah, fine, great well I hope you find what you’re looking for!” We then became very uncomfortable given his tone and somewhat angry manner and then decided to leave. He followed at our heels all the way to the door as if making sure we weren’t talking about him or stealing... I’m not quite sure. Overall, this was extremely odd and rude. The thing is, if it weren’t for this sales associate perhaps we would have stayed around and inquired or even bought furniture here. I wish I had caught his name because I don’t believe any establishment would mean to employ someone like this. Willabsolutely never return due to this experience.

This place marks up regular furniture by 3x to 4X and then discounts it to make it look like a great deal but youre actually getting ripped off at the prices that are on the tags. That said, the furniture is good. Negotiate hard and long and you may come out fair. Personally, I would not buy from Bassett.

I went to so many different furniture stores until I finally got to Bassett. Charlene greeted me immediately and asked me what I needed and worked with me and helped me design my perfect living room. She drew out a sketch and made recommendations...all the other stores ignored me, this personalized service and excellent selection of products and customizable options doesnt exist anywhere else than Bassett. Im very happy and I will always return here.

We went to the Bassett Home Furnishings to look for living room furniture. We were greeted by one of the sales staff who introduced herself and told us how the custom furniture works, and told us to look around then ask her any questions. We spent about an hour getting pricing and discussed different fabric options for chairs and couches. Their products are high quality, made in the USA, but come with a higher price tag compared to the other furniture stores in the area. Overall if you have the budget and want higher quality furniture I recommend Bassett Home Furnishings.

Tara was great about guiding us to quality furniture choices at the showroom in Tukwila. We just bought a brand new house and had to stay within a budget but wanted a nice couch as well as dining room table and chairs. We discussed many options. When she prepared the swatches all her pieces made sense. 6 weeks later our furniture arrived. Jake was gracious enough to be there when the delivery occurred. Everything came together. We love Bassett! I worked with Victoria to pick out some counter stools for our new house and she clearly knew what she was talking about. She picked out some options for me and let me know about options that aren’t displayed on the website. I knew the store has more customization options so I wanted to come in rather than ordering online. She was really nice and gave me good feedback about my choices instead of just giving a blanket ‘yea that looks great’ statement. I want someone to tell me if I’m picking something crazy! Great experience overall! I will for sure go back when it’s time to buy our next piece of furniture.

Bassett is the only furniture store in the Seattle Southcenter area we visited where all furniture was of the quality we were looking for. If you are seriously shopping for furniture make an appointment with Jake Stantliff before you go. Jake is a true professional, loves his work, and puts you at ease. He listens and responds with great advice. Jake will help you take your interior design to that exact place that expresses who you are. We could not be happier!

My husband and I ended our furniture shopping at Bassett, where we purchased our bedroom set. We gave our business to Bassett because of the quality of their furniture. The solid maple wood is beautiful and the slow close drawers on the dressers are great! The friendly staff were awesome and knowledgeable. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because some family members also recently purchased bedroom furniture that had features for a charging station directly in the nightstands. This feature was not an option on the bench☆made furniture we purchased. I also would have liked better financing options, as to make more reasonable monthly payments before interest is incurred.

On June 10, 2019 I had a leather Bassett Club sectional delivered. There was a tear in the leather upon arrival. The delivery men had already documented this when they were loading up the truck at Bassett to bring to me (why did they still bring it?). I called Bassett before the delivery men left my house. I was told to accept the leather sectional that it will be taken care of that there is no problem, that Bassett will fix this. I documented this with pictures and the delivery paperwork that went back to Bassett, which I signed, had it written on there by the delivery men that there was a tear in the leather.I have tried multiple times to get the service center to return my calls, and emails, but all I have received is a one line sentence via email on 7/3 that they are having a hard time finding a technician to come to my home. Not once has someone returned my many, many, phone calls.The leather sectional still sits here with tags on it and we are not using it.I can only assume that the service center is hoping that I eventually go away. But I wont. This is just wrong. I am so disappointed in Bassett.

Many choices of fabrics and fittings for home furnishings. Easily customizable items that will take several weeks for delivery but be worth it because it is your own creation. Sizing is spot on for todays apartments and townhomes or for a room where you dont want that overstuffed, football-watching look.The only downside is that like almost all mainstream furniture stores today, their main wood choice is acacia, or rubber wood, treated to look like other woods.The best upside is that if you dont want that, there are other choices, though of course those choices cost more. The Benchmade line is really lovely, and like sales agent Charlene explained, those items can be your forever furniture as they are sturdy, quality made and classic. Updated with accessories, they can suit any decor. This is a good store, but be prepared for more upscale pricing and not a huge on-site selection. The reason for less than 5 stars is that I wasnt impressed with the seams on the sofas and cushions. They appeared less than straight, and not as tight as I would want. Perhaps due to being floor samples? Not sure, but I would want my daily use items to hold up to daily wear.

Great customer service in-store, as well as working with the warehouse... But Im not happy with the quality of the couch I purchased. Within a couple weeks the couch was sunk in and squeaking. I had it sent back for repair and it didnt squeak for about 3 days and then it was back to squeaking again. The cushions are also still very flat. There is a great warranty but who wants to keep having such a large piece of furniture picked up and dropped off so frequently??? Id just hoped to have a firm sturdy couch so Im very unhappy with my purchase.

I have had the most amazing experience with the Bassett team!I’ve waited YEARS to finally embark on a complete home furniture makeover project for our entire home. Honestly, a huge part of the long wait to get started was just pure intimidation. I was afraid of how many choices are involved. Afraid of making the wrong choices. Afraid to work with an interior decorator as I assumed they are overpriced and I’d just end up in a home that was their taste and not mine. Afraid it would cost waaay more than I was willing to spend. I didn’t know where to go or who I could trust.But I trust Tami Michaels who has a radio show and TV segment in KOMO in Seattle. And Tami speaks very highly of Bassett.Yes, I also visited Seldens, Shoenfelds, Greenbaum, Ethan Allen, Wes Elm, Kasala, Pottery Barn, Macy’s, Restoration, and many others. I did my homework. But I always felt a little railroaded in those stores—like they pounced on me. Or the opposite—some places never followed-up as promised with emails about pricing, etc.In the end I decided on the Bassett store in Tukwila. The owners are frequently in the store—which I think is a great sign. They were friendly, helpful, no-pressure, etc. I felt comfortable in the store.I worked with Jake, one of their in-store designers. He helped educate me on how furniture is made. He listened to my nervous chatter about what I wanted; he looked at the Pinterest boards I’d created for inspiration; he visited my home; he took measurements; etc. But he also gave me his honest opinions; told me when I was making poor choices; coached me through the scary stuff; and kept me focused.Honestly, except for one bed, I sold or gave away every stick of furniture I had. All the family hand-me-downs; pre-marriage-single-gal stuff; ratty furniture my husband had forever; every poor unmatched choice; and everything we ever bought because it was a “good deal”. We chucked it all and put our trust in Bassett.We ONLY bought furniture from Bassett. We wanted the finishes to work together; the fabrics to complement one another, and the house to be in total harmony. I wanted any piece of furniture (chair, table, lamp, pillow, rugs, etc) to work in any other room in the house.The day the Bassett truck pulled up in front of my house I was sooo excited and so nervous. But everything Is GREAT!Now my house is LITERALLY a Bassett showroom. I’m not kidding! And I couldn’t be happier!!Here’s what I bought:Two queen beds with matching dressers and nightstands.Large sectional for the bonus room.Sofa for the living room.Two club chairs.A chair and a half with ottoman.Two giant ottomans that serve as coffee tables in the living and bonus rooms.End tables for the living room.Two leather chairs for the home office, one with ottoman.A live-edge desk And credenza for the home office.A round informal dining table for the kitchen.A formal dining room table.12 beautiful upholstered dining chairs that work at either dining table.An entry table for the foyer.Two rugs.A bunch of custom pillows.And four gorgeous lamps.Every piece was custom ordered. I got to pick the fabric, finish, feel, etc. No details was overlooked. And Jake made sure I was aware of how each choice impacted the final result.I got renderings of my selections. And floor plans to make sure everything would fit.Yes, I bought a lot of furniture. Yes, it took time to go through the process. Yes, I had to wait weeks or months to get custom furniture.But I got EXACTLY what I wanted. And during the wait times you can figure out what to do with all your old stuff.The quality is soooo high. And I paid for the extra protection coating on everything—which means they’ll clean, fix or replace it if anything goes wrong in the next 5 years.I seriously don’t think I’ll ever need to buy furniture again. SERIOUSLY. I’ll be a little old lady sitting with my grandkids on this furniture years from now. When my husband and I are gone our kids will be fighting over who gets the furniture.Thank you, Bassett! ♥️

Saved a long time to buy very expensive couch. After 2 months fabric started balling, up looked like it was years old. Went into store for help, brought in the cushion and was told it was a normal process for the fabric and I needed to shave it. ( another thing I had to buy.... ). I have been shaving my over $3000 soda for almost a year and it has not stopped!!! Would never have bought this couch if it was even a possibility that this would happen, I went into the store 3 times to show them my horrible looking cushions, no help. Do not buy from this store!!! Horrible customer service, no follow up.

I only came here because my mother really wanted a pillow from here..if I were you Id go to kent or Redmond dont waste youre time at this store they will take advantage of you as a customer. My parents went on a saturday and bought two pillows for $44 each today wednesday we go and ask the Jake for a price check tells us its $250 and sale is $125 I understand you gotta make comission but taking advantage of people is whole different story we told him we got the pillows at $44 and he asked barbara and she said $49 we decided to take it anyways but you see how $250 went down to $49? Mhm yea, never again will we come here again if was up to me I wouldnt have bought that pillow but my mother wanted it I recommend ppl not to come to this location. Or buy FROM JAKE OR BARBARA.

Tukwila Bassett has outstanding customer service. They do not pressure you and they do not follow you while youre casually looking around the store like other places do. Ive never picked out and ordered a sectional before. Both Ryan and Michael made it so easy - and fun too. They were very patient with me. Any piece of furniture I picked out had to fit through a small sliding glass door. Once I realized my limited space, I had to go home and remeasure. Again, no pressure when I left store. When I returned, They took their time - went through the measurements and took me through the process. The thought of looking at all the samples of fabric seemed overwhelming at first. Easy-peasy. Once I picked out my color, then I needed to pick pillows. No problem! Ryans First Choice was so perfect I had no reason to look any further. His experience was priceless. My delivery came today and I absolutely love it. It couldnt have been any better.

The store carries a very good collection and the staff were very friendly when we purchased all our mattresses from the store. However, when we called to follow up on the order. The same saleswomen who helped us purchase the mattresses was very rude and didnt bother to answer any of our questions. We felt disheartened by the poor customer service after spending so much time and money and the sheer lack of acknowledgement that the customer matters.

She was knowledgeable about my account, accomodating to figure out a date that worked for me and also found a credit that had never been refunded for me! There was a missing screw from my first delivery that had not been taken care of and she is making sure the delivery team knows what I need to correct that at the same time for the newest delivery. So appreciate the great customer service i received!

We purchased $10,000 living room set in September. We have had nothing but a headache in dealing with this store, first our chairs were made in the wrong color so they didnt arrive until 60 days late, the day before thanksgiving and there was several issues with the quality so they sent out their repair people who suggested they re make the two chairs but since then Bassett has dropped the ball many times lost the photos, lack of communication between the employees and terrible communications with us. I would not recommend dealing with these folks at all.

The service at the actual store is great, but god forbid you have an issue with any product you purchase as the service department has horrendous service. Its been almost 3 months & I am still waiting on receiving a defective part to be replaced. Ive been calling for over the last 3 weeks trying to get in contact with Betty, the representative from the service department I was referred to. Having no return phone call from her, I started leaving messages for anyone who is willing to take the call in the service department. Unfortunately, they too dont believe in returning phone calls either so I called the Tukwila store where I purchased my item & they were able to get me set up with delivery on the spot. I love the store but wont be purchasing anything from Bassett in the future as I dont want to have to ever deal with the service department from them! OVERALL, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SUCKS & DOESNT BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

This, hands down, has been the worst experience Ive ever had making ANY purchase (not furniture only)!Terrible customer service - unprofessional and even rude at times!I am never making business with Bassetts ever again, nor I will let close friends or family go through what Im going through as a customer.I purchased a piece of furniture over 4 (four) months ago. To this day I still dont have the finished, complete item. It was first delivered damaged back in June - by damage I mean major scratches and chips to doors and dents to rails; tech was sent to repair it - it couldnt be repaired because the wrong parts were initially installed. Then it started THE WAIT - parts were supposedly ordered and not received until end of August.The parts were finally delivered, but then the only tech they have took a vacation, so we had to wait another 10 days to only find out that the sideboard had to be brought back to their shop for the repair! So, it was a mid September and we still dont have the furniture I ordered on May 27th! Finally I got a call that my sideboard has been repaired and delivery was scheduled. Delivery day comes - THE WRONG SIDEBOARD is being delivered; somebody elses furniture! Great! Few days later I finally receive my furniture item, but now some of the hardware is missing - the pins for the shelves!Meanwhile there has been zero communication from the store reps regarding the status of my purchase/item. I mustve called over dozen times to inquire and try to find out when Ill have the sideboard complete?! On few occasions I called the corporate office to express my frustration and disappointment with the local stores customer care. Apparently all was beyond the corporates scope, as each store is independent and handles their own service, sales and discounts. I still had to go through corporate in order to get some answers and updates on the status of my order! How ridiculous! No one has called to say they are sorry for my inconvenience, for this extreme delay or to offer a compensation. When I raised the question for a discount I kept being dismissed.To sum it up - an awful experience with Bassett Home Furnishings!

We bought a custom matching sofa and loveseat 8 years ago. After moving 3 times, theyre still in great condition. Excellent, sturdy frames, great fabric, our 2 little kids havent managed to destroy them yet. Would definitely buy from them again.Btw - they were hand made on the East Coast, by Americans! I was told that it would be 4-6 weeks to get my furniture, when it arrived all 3 pieces were damaged and 1 piece was very poorly made with multiple problems. After talking to their manager they promised they would make it right. Now its been another 6 weeks because they had to reorder the furniture and then forgot to order it for 2 weeks. I have been unable to get any answers and have filed a complaint with the BBB. I have spend over 20,000 with this store and wont ever be back.

AWFUL service! If you live in Pierce county please go to the Bassett store in Tacoma. I just spoke to one their “store managers” who was cocky and snide when I requested a Saturday delivery. She said, “ we don’t go to Tacoma for delivery’s so you will need to wait until the next time we travel there”. My purchase was over $8,500 but no... they do Not consider a delivery a priority.
