We purchased our car here from GMC dealership and come for all our service needs including oil change, tires and repairs. The staff is very kind and professional. One particular gentleman David goes above and beyond with customer service. We look forward to seeing him when he checks us in. He communicates beautifully and really takes care of every questions and concerns we have. Been a customer for 11+ years and been very happy. Highly recommend this location to family and friends.

My ignition key broke and they had one in stocks. I had my truck towed there and they were extremely busy. They were so professional and respectful to me.They werent sure if they would be able to get to it that day but they said theyd call me. As busy as they were they got to it.I will recommend and return if my truck needs repairs. Thank you Koons Tyson Chevy!!!!

Was called to remind me to schedule oil change and tire rotations. Service manager was pleasant when I arrived and kept be abreast on status of repairs via text. In addition to replacing the High Level Mount stop light which they had the part on hand, everything was completely satisfactory and good workmanship within the time expected. Deli right night door and customer waiting area with internet computer access, made the time past quickly.

Also replaced a wheel stud on right front. Service was provided at scheduled time. Repair was done promptly. Thorough review of all 4 wheels - not just the one with the repair issue, was done. Everything was done in a timely, professional manner and I was able to be on my way in a very short time due to the level of efficiency.

First time getting my car serviced at this location. I bought the car from Koons Hundai and thought I would get the same service from an affiliate location. Even though the maintenance agreement specifically called out tire rotation was included, I was denied that service. Koons should honor their maintenance agreements as cross their locations. Otherwise they did a good job: helped me out with a replacement key, recall, and oil change.

He kept me informed on progress and timing, and even offered to have the techs perform my annual safety inspection, which I did not know was part of my service package. Very efficient and courteous.I always know I will have a positive experience with the Tysons Service/Parts staff.

Carlos at Koon’s Tyson’s is the absolute BEST Service Advisor I have ever worked with over my 10 years of owning cars.He has never once pushed a repair that my car didn’t need, which is SUCH kindness. Several times now he’s managed to fit my car in for emergency repairs and get me back on the road within a day.He also takes the time to show me broken parts, and explain the mechanics of how my car works, which I VERY much appreciate.Overall the dealership has always had open appointment times that fit into my schedule, and has always performed excellent work on my car! As long as I own a Chevy, I’ll be taking it to Koon’s in Tyson’s.

I was told by the reservation line that I had to make a separate reservation apart from my oil change to have a technician check a noise that I was hearing in my engine. Was told that my car couldn’t be seen until a month out. When I brought my car in for the oil change the service manager said they could actually take a look at it that same day. I was so relieved. I recently had my second oil change/tire rotation done! Each time I was impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of Koon’s service department. This past weekend Carlos assisted me upon arrival. He kept me informed throughout the process. What was supposed to be an hour and a half to two hour wait turned out to be less than an hour from start to finish!

Very quick intake. Diagnosed wheel alignment issue within the first 10 minutes. It was a 30k mile service and so a number of items were addressed quickly and effectively. Only tip: dont let them do the car wash. The blower/drier is subpar, leaving the car wet. They dont wipe it down, so either beg off the car wash or come with a towel to dry yourself...unless you want the wet car to attract dirt. A minor issue but is the last impression of the experience.

So I was a bit nervous about having my check engine light diagnosed because I was fearing the worst. Not expensive repairs but being taken advantage of AND having to pay for repairs that I didn’t need. Past experience from other places have made me leery and jaded. However, that was not my experience at Koons Buick in Tysons. The service person Bill was amazing, down to earth (friendly) and professional. I think he could sense my apprehension and went the extra mile to thoroughly explain and give me time to discuss everything with my male friend over the phone. When my friend confirmed that everything sound on the up-and-up, I was ok with moving forward with the repairs. Their mechanics fixed my issue, washed my car and he it ready pretty quickly. Bill even saved me $165 diagnostic fee. I’m telling ya, this place is a solid dealer who isn’t out to scam or mislead women who wouldn’t know any better, and they saved me money while taking care of my issue. I highly recommend this dealer!

This was the first oil change and tire rotation service on my new vehicle and was therefore complimentary. Additionally, the emissions check light was coming on intermittently so I asked them to assess it. The entire service took roughly an hour and a half and while complimentary, it was priced high. They didn’t wash or vacuum the vehicle, which isn’t expected but would have been a nice touch with a new vehicle service at a dealership. In the end, I’m not convinced the 90 minutes and price is worth the dealership experience as a third party can do it faster and of equal quality. Also, the first visit after purchasing is suppose to introduce you to the GMC maintenance plan. No one took the time to discuss the benefits of GMC vs third parties or even asked how the new vehicle was performing. Same user experience as everyone else.

I was told all of my fluids was topped off but after driving for a couple days my coolant light popped on because it was not filled up. Really unprofessional because before i left i asked them did they refill my coolant and they said yes. The oil change was pretty quick so thats why im rating it 2 stars.

The entire staff was helpful and courteous, from service, to parts, to scheduling, to the valet pick up. They did exactly what service was needed and did it very well. I love the convenient option of having my car picked up/dropped off. All around, I’m very pleased and highly recommended.

They changed my battery which was too dead to even jump start. It took a full day to get it in the shop but then it was done early once it was in the shop on the second day. I paid $386 which seemed a bit high for just a battery replacement but batteries have definitely increased in price since I changed my last one and there is probably some sort of flat labor fee for such a job.

Terrible service person. Service manager tried to make experience better but service person and mechanic had development an attitude by then. I will not be buying or use their service again. Word of advice do not use them. And especially do not schedule a service on Friday. Everyone is interested in getting out early on Friday.

Bought the vehicle from Koons GMC CHEVROLET and have been servicing with them only because I bought an extended service package at the time of purchase.Just can’t understand why the service advisors and the staff in general is overall angry and rude. Have never felt welcomed after the purchase even though they are ever ready to rip off with exuberant fees. I perhaps will never buy a vehicle from Koons.

Had my airbag recall done here. One week later the service airbag light comes on. They deny causing this issue. The Tahoe is a 2009 and has never had this issue occur until after they touched it.They are nice when they set up appointments, but rude as can be to own up on their repair mistake.Now, I need to call GM to complain.

Communication is good & the place is clean however 1mo. after new brake pads were installed they said the brake calipers were intermittently failing and have worn out the new pads. All would need to be replaced to the tune of $1700. Were the calipers not reviewed/tested when the pads were changed? I have my doubts since the burning brake smell began the moment the pads were replaced. This is also not the 1st time Ive had to return here to correct what I believe is a service error.. Time for me to find a new service. :/

The worst service I ever received taking my car to Koons for service. I do not recommend this place and I will never buy or service my car here again. I had full warranty and I end up paying $500 in addition on top of the full warranty($100 deductible) Price gouging is just normal with this company. I brought my car in for Electrical problem and I end of paying over $500 for a battery, go figure.

I will never use this dealership again! Several times Iv tried using this dealership, and always had to argue with them to get satisfied service. But, the sad thing is, I purchased my truck from them. If I knew what I know today I would have gone to one of many other Chevy dealership in the area. This place service department is a joke and full of unprofessional staff that are careless. I did an appointment for an oil change and as usual they were not on time. As soon as I left the dealer the fuel filter light came up and I mentioned to the service guy how come they don’t tell customers if something like this needs to be done so we can save time and get it fix while at the shop and his answer was “ well it’s not covered by your care package” now I had to do an extra appointment just because they are careless.
