I have been taking my car to Stohlman for about 2 years and have always had a fantastic experience with their team. I think the customer service department and technicians are very knowledgeable and professional.I trust that they are giving me the best recommendations possible and have always been happy to explain what work they are doing on my vehicle. I had a single instance where they accidentally performed a service that had already been done and within a week they had refunded me and were very courteous. They are extremely honest and forward in every department and if you have a Subaru you are missing out by not taking your car here for maintenance.
My bumper had been hit but it didn’t appear to be bad. Looks like a deep scrape. Anyway, while going through the car wash the attendant handed me the exhaust cover; which made me check the bumper. The entire bumper was loose; as if it were going to come off. I called Victor and he had John meet me right away to fix it. Victor, my Service Manager, is the best at keeping me informed of all warranty and maintenance information. John, who I understand manages the Service Department, was very personable and explained what happened and what he did to fix it. I will always return to Stohlman Subaru in Tysons for everything.

September 2021. Took my car in for routine service. I am amazed at how efficient their processes have evolved in the last several years. Setting the appointment was super easy, their customer service is top flight, and our service was completed very quickly and expertly. Our Stohlman Subaru has been the best automobile we have owned along with the first rate service and fair pricing. After driving BMWs for 25 years, they cannot compare to Subarus quality and service.

Their repairs have been what I expect in terms of quality and timeliness.I was disappointed when I was told they always change rotors with brake pads and it is required to warranty their work. That isn’t standard industry practice. It took some back and forth before they could justify why my rotors needed to be changed. The service rep did acknowledge at the end that they could have replaced the brake pads only.
I had a good experience buying my car here two years ago; but will no longer be returning to have it serviced by Stohlman Subaru. After dropping off my car for routine maintenance; I waited what I could but it took a little longer than expected so I left for work. This is no issue, I understand it takes time and asked if I could return after 7 PM to pick up. The lady let me know the service center closed at 6 PM, but I could pick up my keys from the showroom as they closed at 8 PM. Upon arriving to the showroom at 730 PM, a courteous fellow let me know no one had left any record of me coming to pick up and I could not retrieve my car. I had to pay $80 dollars in unnecessary Ubers today, will have to Uber to work tomorrow, and Uber back a second time to the service center. This is obviously a waste of money, but more importantly, a complete and unnecessary waste of my time on two occasions. I do not recommend you service your car here as they did not stand up to the promise they made.

I just purchased a new Subaru Outback from Stohlman and could not be happier. Ive been working for almost 6 months off and on with sales consultant Jonathan Fontan to find something pre-owned; Jon was great, but unfortunately this is not a buyers market. When I decided to bite the bullet and go new, I was immediately directed to sales consultant Priscilla Frimpong. We discussed my options given the limited supply (P answered a LOT of emails, she was awesome!), and I went ahead and put a deposit on a vehicle in-transit to the dealership. Priscilla called me up when the vehicle arrived, I came on over, and left with my new car in less than 4 hours. Im currently a student so I dont have a lot of wiggle room - I came in with my pre-approved loan and nobody tried to push extras/financing on me. I also brought my husband along for company, but everything was directed at me as the purchaser which I REALLY appreciate. Overall my experience with Stohlman Subaru has been extremely pleasant and I would definitely recommend them.

I bought my 2021 Subaru Forester from Stohlman. Made an appointment for my first oil change at 6,000 miles and had them look at my tires because I had a slow leak in one of them. They found a small nail in one of my tires and were able to patch it for me for a very reasonable price. I was in and out of there in under two hours! Very positive experience for my first time booking an appointment there. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family!
There was some confusion when I set up my maintenance appointment regarding what I could do while maintenance was done. Phone customer service said I couldnt stay in waiting area, and would have to have ride or use their shuttle/Uber service (only gets you home, not back). I had no ride so would have to use Uber. But when I checked in, my wonderful customer rep, Victor, arranged a loaner car, and all was right with the world! I give 4 vice 5 stars because the phone rep gave bad info. But my personal rep, Victor, was fantastic, as always.
I took my 2015 Subaru Forester to have the brakes checked. They evaluated the brakes, determined that everything was good, and charged me nothing. Easy pickup afterwards.
I rarely make reviews, but I wanted to comment on how great my experience was buying my first Subaru at Stohlman Subaru! Saw the vehicle online Friday and reached out through the form on their website. I ended up corresponding with Nicu (who is amazing!!!), he answered my 100s of questions before I agreed to come in for a test drive. The best part of this experience was buying the car; I got a great offer for my trade in, everyone at the dealership was super friendly, I never felt pressured into buying more than I needed, and I got a fair price for a fantastic car. Would 10000% recommend coming here, Im already looking forward to coming back for my next Subaru purchase!

Bought my first brand new car (Subaru Crosstrek Premium) for the first time in the US. Sale team was very helpful and provided all the detail info. I thought of buying used car either online or at dealers. But, after meeting the sale agent at Stohlman, I decided to go with the brand new car with no problem to worry about breaking down on the road. The Starlink online service is pretty cool. I can locate my car and turn it off if stolen. If my car broke down, Subaru can locate me quickly with emergency call and GPS link and be able to send help quickly. Very happy with my new car.
I have now purchased two vehicles from Stohlman, and have been more than satisfied. Jose has been my sales person both times, and he is enormously helpful. Another sales person, Patrick, also helped me learn more about my vehicle, and it’s features. Jimmy, the financial manager, was helpful in getting me the warranty I was looking for and tying up the loose ends. I will certainly be back.

They offer great options during service: to wait in their spacious, comfortable waiting room (or also now outside under a tent), using their shuttle service to Metro (also walkable), or checking to see if you have your own ride. Very friendly and easy to work with! Highly recommend!

I can’t compare Stohlmam with other Subaru dealers simply because this is the ONLY dealership I’m willing to go to…..why you may ask? Because they are simply the best around by far. The service staff are the best I’ve seen. Personable, fair, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile for the customer. When you schedule an appointment, they honor the time and are waiting to service your car……how many times do you drop off a car at a designated time only to watch it sit there for an hour or more before moving….not here! It may not seem like much but that goes a long way with me……you could be just driving it around the corner and letting it sit but I at least feel better seeing someone take responsibility for my car. I can’t say enough good things about this place and we are Subaru customers for life not just because they are great cars but also because Stohlman shows you that the customer still matters and customer service still means something! Thank you for all your help and for taking care of us……..you EARNED a loyal customer.

My overall experience was okay. The service was great with James. However, when I went to change the tire on my car a few days later there was no wheel lock key. I bought the Crosstrek used about a year ago, and apparently they never included the key. When I called the service department, they said they couldn’t help me. Got passed to the used car manager Nazir, but nobody called back after leaving my info. Although the service was good, I don’t recommend buying a used car from there. I feel like I got short changed and then ignored. Now I have to find a wheel lock key online because Stohlman isn’t that interested in helping. Ughh!
My advisor was awesome. She made sure I got the work done that was needed, she didn’t mind coming outside to handle everything (because I didn’t want to go inside) and she was very friendly and professional. It’s the kind of treatment that keeps people coming back.
I had a 10:15 appointment and got there at 10am. I was given a loaner (which was a smaller model than my car and only barely fit my 3 children in), but asked to bring it back by the end of the day. I decided to stay in the area, since the repair was only going to take 2.5 hrs. Well, I returned at 12:45 to find they had only taken my car back at 12:30! We didn’t get out of there until 3:50 and had to fight the traffic on 66 during rush hour. I will never go back after this experience, no matter what discounts or incentives they offer.
Had front brakes and rotors replaced, bar bushings, oil change, and all wheel alignment. No issues, work was on time and ready.It was a bit pricey but Carlos help find a coupon that made it more reasonable.Thank You Carlos!
Was supposed to be a normal routine of scheduled service. Specifically asked them to check the wipers, and they left it alone. they strongly suggested I replace break pads and resurfacing rotors. That turned out not needing I found out later. This place used to be good. not going back. there are much less horrible car servicing places I can take my car.

Our recent purchase of a 2022 Outback Touring XT was the best experience I have ever had with an auto dealership. I am 74. I go in with low expectations and a short fuse and am always infuriated with the gamesmanship and emphasis on the sale rather the customer. Our neighbor highly recommended Stohlman, and an Outback, and she was right. The process was polite, completely professional and respectful from my first discussion with sales manager Anson. He and salesman Nicu were excellent. The latter was extremely knowledgeable about the Outback and answered all my wife’s questions (accurately) without having to refer to any source material. At no time was any pressure applied, the communications, pre and post sale, were fast and excellent, and trust/confidence (a two way process) was quickly established. If your service department is as professional as Anson and Nicu you have a dedicated customer who will recommend you enthusiastically to friends. Of course, the Outback is great.

I was well informed throughout the services, from the time I dropped off my car to the time I picked it up. This included my request for the mechanic to the check the rear passenger door that wouldn’t open from the outside. Great services from Emma and her team.
While I hope that the dealership is able to get at lest a part-time shuttle service back in place (or expand the Uber share-service so that someone can get an Uber to return after an hours-long period, as opposed to the we can give you an Uber home, and you have to find another way to get back here when we call you system), the work itself was flawless and customer service was A+ as well. No complaints.

I will never be returning to Stohlman Subaru. They used to have a great gentleman who worked in the service department but he was promoted to another office. I have had AWFUL experiences with their service department and loaner vehicles. They couldve had a life long client but quickly burned that bridge by charging my credit card with out my consent or even telling me they were going to do so. I did not agree to any charges. This is not just a small charge, they charged me $800. So I just want to look out for other people and make sure they do not make the same silly mistake as me. DO NOT TAKE A LOANER VEHICLE FOR THEM. The cars are pretty and nice, returning the vehicle will not be.

I liked the service, scheduling was very easy and efficient. The only problem was getting the car to the serviceman, nobody was there to process me. Once I got processed and registered, they actually finished the job in less time than they initially quoted, explained everything well, and were finished earlier. I was quite satisfied with the service.

In general Ive had a positive experience with the service center here, but the most recent time was not great. Service was predicted to take about 3 hours, and after about 4 hours (not too bad) I got a call that car was headed for a wash and should be ready in 30 minutes. Checked in after that 30 minutes and was told to wait and they would come get me in the waiting room soon. Didnt hear anything from anyone after another 45 minutes, so I told someone I needed to leave and would come get my car the next day they were open. Right when I was about to leave, turns out my car keys were there and ready and I finally got the car back. Overall, it just seems if I hadnt said anything multiple times, I would have been left in the waiting room for hours without anyone checking on me or updating me.
Stohlman’s always does a great job with my 5-year-old Subaru Legacy. They are efficient, charge reasonably & are clear about which work is urgent & which can wait. This oil change took longer than estimated (was told 1.5 - 2 hours & it was almost 3) - I should have taken Metro home instead of waiting! It’s a 5 minute walk to Spring Hill on the Silver line.
I’ve been servicing my car in official dealerships since the day one I got it brand new.So far it was the worst experience I had.1) No complimentary/ technical wash. Its not only because of me not getting clean car it is also the fact that service was done in not rinses car, thus evaluation is questionable.2) waiting aria is small and noisy, right next to garage entrance and service parts store3) price is high, which is understandable due to location but still paying $150 labor for $66 parts (oil and light bulbs) something that will never bring me back to the place.4) too long, again oil and light bulbs too 1.5 hours with promised one hour (still too long for such little maintenance and without wash)One good thing, had rattling exhaust pipe, mechanics added an extra clamp, it helped (at no cost lol)

Buying a new Subaru from was Stohlman’s was pretty much as friction free as possible. Being 2021, cars come and go fast on the lot, but found the one we were after in a few colors. Finance always takes a little time, but they had their act together. 👍👍👍

Buying a car isnt as stressful as it used to be! No hard sell, no pressure. I bought a 2021 Subaru Outback Limited. Nicu, my sales person, was very patient and took time to answer all of my questions. He went above and beyond to find the car I wanted, down to the last detail, then got me such a good deal that I was able to buy the 2021 model, instead of the 2020 I had been looking at. The paperwork to complete the sale was quick and easy. From start to finish, I had a very positive experience at Stohlman Subaru.
Purchased a car last year...overall the salesmen was helpful and direct. Due to the small lot space its hard to see all inventory without someone driving up cars to you.
I have not had a good experience with this dealer. I committed to purchasing a vehicle on Thursday 4/22/21. Submitted my application, gave my insurance information. I heard nothing and followed up on Monday 4/26. The sales person said he was sorry and would get things underway. I followed up again on Tuesday 4/27 and was informed the car was sold on Saturday 4/24. The sales manager assured me on Weds he was going to find a different vehicle. After several follow up calls, here we are Friday 4/29 and no follow up.I purchased a Subaru from this dealer in 2017. I feel this is very poor service for any client, let alone a repeat one.
My wife and I recently bought a Subaru WRX from Stohlman Subaru at Tyson’s Corner and it was a very pleasant experience! Jon F. was the salesman that assisted us. He was welcoming on the phone, quick to answer our questions (even while helping another customer), and talked us through the entire process. The manager introduced himself and stayed to answer more of our questions; we asked some vague questions about their fees and he was direct and honest. And finally, their finance officer was able to beat my bank’s APR by half a percentage point! We showed up about an hour before close and they all stayed late to help complete the sale. This entire process was better - in every way - than our last vehicle purchase around Baltimore. Thanks guys!

Excellent service, they take good care of your car. Theyre rather expensive, like all dealer service departments, but Ive always found it to be worth it.
I have to be honest with you when I say that my experience walking into the service department was a bit mixed. When I walked in two people who are at the front door what kind of looking at me like what are you doing here but didnt really say that and I explained what Im here for which is an appointment to fix a recall on my vehicle and they didnt even seem like they wanted to help they just redirected me to somebody else when I was about to ask a question. So I speak to the service advisor and they took my vehicle originally they said to me that it was going to take three hours well 3 hours turned into nearly five. Theyre waiting lounge is really small so under covid conditions people kept in mask on as a courtesy, but Im not going to be stuck in a room for nearly 5 hours with people I dont know. Every time the service advisor told me that it will take another 10 minutes or 20 minutes at most it turned into an hour. I decided to venture upstairs to take a look at the new cars and they only had one car to look at in an entire showroom. Ive been doing a lot of showrooms Ive never seen a shown with one car to interact with. When I was told my car is ready they didnt bring the car to me I had to go and get it myself and I have never had gone to a service dealership will you go get your own car like its self-serve. In that particular regard I found that very odd. I found the people who work there to be very nice but from a customers point of view it was a very mixed experience. When I come back here again I really dont have too much of a choice because its the closest one to me.
Used the ri e up express servic e for regular servicing. Went smoothly, quick;y, efficiently. People were very nice, in and out, with complete service, in 45 minutes!
A bit pricey but overall are straight shooters but do good work and have some excellent technicians.

They were very helpful in getting my new car. The transparency throughout the whole process was amazing. All the information was put on the table in black and white so I could make the best decision. I highly recommend Mo and Jim, they are really great!
